Cedre Sandaraque

Smooth, syrupy, and only slightly sweet. It reminded me of Bois Blond, and I see I am not alone in my opinion. This does not have the oily green vegetal quality of Bois Blond. Cedre Sandaraque is different enough that it is well-worth it to own both if you are as obsessed with these intensely balsamic perfumes as I am. They remind, but they are not the same. Cedre Sandaraque starts out balsamic, with a bit of smoked cedar, and that unique hint of malted cereal. At times I am reminded of Christmas again. Seems like there is a sweet spice in there somewhere, maybe cinnamon or nutmeg. The heart contains more vetyver than anything else before drying down into a candied amber that reminds me of the crunchy coating on a candied apple. Not nearly so tooth-achingly sweet though, and not gourmand either. This is so beautiful and natural to me and reminds me very much of my beloved Aqua Allegoria Winter Delice.

Wow... this is what I love!!! At the beginning it is really sweet like caramel buy also dry because of some resins used – like mix of olibanum with honey, very delicious plus some woody base. Than it develops to the beautiful cedre, similar to freshly sharpened pencil. This last for a while and than you can smell dry woody dust still on resinous base. CS is realy amazing fragrance, unique and worth the price. Silage is very good and it last forever. Even after 12h it is prominent skin scent. How to imagine this fragrance – for me best comparison, you are in a new farm house with unpolished, still wet, not completely dried walls, where somebody cooked full of spices gingerbread. House is full of early morning sunlight that warms the air so you can feel very comfortable and cozy. In my opinion this holly grail for wood scents lovers.

Cedre Sandaraque is one of my favorite PG scents. I simply love the smell of fresh cedar nuts with a drop of amber sweetness in it. The base of Cedre sandaraque is very similar to Hermes Vetiver Tonka. I somehow imagine this fragrance on men rather than on myself. If a man smelling of Cedre Sandaraque passed me by, I would turn around and give him a smile for sure!:)This is a perfect smell for a man! The staying power is good. Try it, it's worth it!

Beautiful, that's all I can say. Another PG on my wish list. I don't know if it's coincidence with my skin, but I can't stop sniffing my wrist.If I could choose perfumes that I wear from now until eternity it would be PG. I think I was enchanted. edit few weeks later/ the top notes like the softest leather gloves, later to become warm woody oriental. Wonderful!

Dark honey ambered woods with light citrus overtones. Overall sweet impression. Perfect for winter! Larger decant ordered immediately, this is a keeper! ;)
