Dialogue With Venus

I absolutely love this fragrance. Sticky sweet vanilla is usually not my thing at all, but I work in niche fragrance and actually bought a full bottle of this. The combination of components here creates this truly playful and almost silly elixir. It's immensely feminine, but not in a way that feels at all soft or demure- it's big campy femininity. This fragrance does not take itself too seriously at all; we're treated to something joyful, reveling in its sexuality and power. It feels reminiscent of more juvenile fruity vanilla formulas, but its too self aware for that. Don't mistake what may at first appear frivolous and unsophisticated for a lack of confidence, intelligence, and purpose! In regards to the notes: I'm not sure how anyone doesn't smell the salt. The combination of salt, musk, and sandalwood here create an intoxicating sweaty skin feel- and with that carefree smooth vanilla & peach on top we just get something so rapturous and fun. Ylang ylang adds an optimistic and uplifting flare to the composition. I'm wearing this a lot now in February cold; it *might* be too much in the warm weather, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

Ethereal fruity salty vanilla. Ylang ylang, peach, sandalwood, vanilla and sea salt. The name aptly suits it. Venus, the goddess of love and war. Forlorn but playful. Desired and feared. A cool late afternoon or early evening on the seashore full of driftwood. A woman wearing white who has freshly showered with sandalwood vanilla soap, eating a peach, waiting for her lover to arrive on shore, but he never does... every day, without fail, she stands on the shore and stares into the distance, with her half eaten peach in hand. The seashore is somewhere in the west, on the Atlantic. This isn’t a tropical pacific shore, but a melancholic forlorn Atlantic shore, full of big waves and overcast. This performs beautifully on a warm breezy day. The underlying notes do smell quite similar to Burberry woman and other similar peachy sandalwood perfumes, but this is airy, salty, and heavier in vanilla. On a cold evening the sandalwood became more prominent, when worn on a warmer breezy day it became fruitier and airier. I’m quite enjoying this, the scent bubble it creates is lovely. I can see this growing into a love very soon.

this house is blowing me away... seriously so good, so many of them this one is a sexy summery ylang-ylang with vanilla coconut and salty sea water nothing sub screeny about it though, it's weirdly fresh this is also the first ylang-ylang frangrance that doesn't induce a headache for me and that I would wish a full bottle of I agree that longevity is not the forte of this house, and actually a lot of scents are really understated or initmate, haven't tried any beast mode one but for me that is not an issue, more often than not I'd rather refresh my perfume than start getting tired of it throughout the day

You bought fresh full-fat milk from a farmer. Went to a friend's house and boiled it. You let it cool down. Your friend suggests you add some vanilla pods and a spoon of sugar to the milk and drink it. His grandmama used to do that. You try the milk, it's boring. You see an over ripped peach on the counter. You take the peach in your hand and start squeezing...the juice is running through your fingers and dripping into the milk. you give it a stir. While sipping the light milkshake you smell whiffs of ylang ylang from the back garden. Gourmandish...sweet...lactonic...creamy...femminine...sexy.

Wow wow I am starting to really love this line Tonkabodykon was great & this one is a light airy vanilla perfect for summer. I need a FB. Incredible! I’m on a quest for a nice light vanilla this fits the bill I believe! The peach, musk ,& seas spray are subtle & don’t overtake the blend. I have a problem lately w blends w about 20 notes in there. This is great just simple summery vanilla.

This was a love at first sniff! If you’re a fan of powdery vanilla you’ll probably love this. It’s slightly sweet but not cloying. I don’t really get the sea water note here. Bought the bottle from the brand’s website and they sent samples of the entire white bottle line along with this. Well worth it!

Such a cute name and attractive bottle. I realized right away that it reminded me of Burberry Woman(honestly much smoother with more peach,I’m really starting to love it more and more each time i test it

I get marshmallows mixed with a decadent peach, and vanilla yogurt....or maybe ice cream. Nothing sour, or synthetic. Just fluffy, smooth, and creamy. A big love for me.

for me it’s vanilla ice cream that has almost fully melted. creamy buttery soft. its embrace is soothing and warm

Got a sample of this with an order. I don't think the 'twist' in the notes is enough to stop this just being fundamentally a very sweet, creamy gourmand- 'seawater' notes are noticeable at the start but you can just as easily read it as a sort of salted-butter, pancakes-with-ice-cream scent as a beachy one. Great longevity and doesn't smell cloying for how sweet it is. Interesting texture - I don't think the woody notes project as much as the gourmand ones but they're definitely there in the skin scent. Reminds me a little of a less floral, more purely edible-smelling version of the now-discontinued TF Orchid Soleil. Definitely not the sort of thing I'd buy for myself but wasn't bad to wear for a day. For those that are into it, I suspect there's plenty of other fragrances at a much lower price point that do the 'milky vanilla musk' thing well enough already though.

I get a sweet and powdery vanilla and yellow florals with coconut and a hint of saltiness from the sea water accord. It's really beautiful. It kinda has the same powdery vanilla vibe that I love in Intime Extime, which is also one of my favorites. This is an absolute love for me. The yellow florals and powdery vanilla are blended perfectly with the sea water note. So far, all the PG fragrances I've tried, I've loved. I have been really impressed with this house!

This is a new to me fragrance house and I received a sample of this from a friend. I really enjoyed the beachy vibe I got from this on a hot, muggy day and I felt the seawater note helped dial down the strength of the vanilla making it wearable in the hot weather. A great perfume for the summer I think if you find some of the fruitier vanillas too sweet on a hot day.

Soft, light vanilla musk with peach and a hint of aquatic, somehow it all works. This is a gentle, slightly sweet, milky scent. Something different for vanilla lovers.

I don't know why people think Dialogue With Venus smells like a une madone- to me they are soooo different. Yes they both have vanilla but a une madone has a rice and milk vanillic thing going on - it literally has no fruit. The opening of Venus hits me with fruit upside the head and not in a happy way. This is not the lovely fluffy peach of histoires de parfums 1969. It's fruity but I can identify the fruit just sort of generic fruitiness. It's definitely a big 'meh' for me but I'm really not a fan of generic fruity notes. It does dry down to a more clean ish scent probably from the aquatics and the musks. Just 💯 not my thing. I also think there are better perfumes that do what this is trying to do but less expensive and better done. Also so close to the skin and not long lasting.

The peach is pretty potent in this and I don’t get anything marine or sea water like. Which is the main reason I bought it. To me- it smells like milky sweet tarts, very sugary and powdery sweet tarts...maybe in a bowl of vanilla ice cream. If you like candy-like scents you would probably enjoy this. I don’t, personally.

My dialogue with Venus: Me: {Kneels before goddess} Venus: Rise, child. Put on a milky, white latex dress. Then melt some sticks of salted butter. Once the butter is melted, pour it on your body and roll around on your kitchen floor while drinking a bottle of vanilla extract. Me: Yes, goddess.

Starts of a as a linear, easy vanilla. Not bad, not great. With time becomes almost TOO lactonic and the added saltiness from the sea note makes it... Odd. A little spoiled, a little like a sweaty skin scent. Maybe this is better with someone else's chemistry.

This is like a better, less sickly sweet version of Clean Reserve Skin. It's still too suffocating though, with not enough dimension. Like drinking pure simple syrup. It's alright, but I'm tired of scents with this quality.

How on earth is this a floral?! It's absolutely a gourmand to me...sweet, creamy, rich, almost edible and almost...fleshy?

Too sweet for me. Smells like something a lot cheaper, like a teenage girl's fragrance.

I was dissapointed by this. It smells just like A Une Madone but with ylang ylang. I think the lactonic vanilla base is exactly the same. Maybe I need to test them again separately because I just realized I hate lactonic notes sometimes. It turns my stomach and comes across as cloying to me. It almost smells like spoiled milk on my skin. Maybe it’s a skin chemistry thing because now that I think of it, I have a couple of other lactonic scents but they don’t bother me in the same way.

I thought I would love this based on the notes, but there’s way too much musk and too much sandalwood which gives it a funky note. This would have been nice without those two notes that just ruin it for me. Venus would not approve. And this smells nothing like Penhaligon’s Amaranthine to me, which I really like.

The combination of the marine accord, warm lactonic vanilla, and something almost minty evokes a person’s breath to me—in the recently brushed way, so not quite as disgusting as it might sound, but still strange and might give me trouble finishing my sample.

It’s too heavy for me. Very, very sweet and creamy and it doesn’t seem to calm down. I’m wearing this to bed and I hope I won’t wake up with a headache.

The first time I sprayed, I did like that sweet, milky vanilla opening, similar to Montblanc Signature. I saw the price/per ml and found it overpriced, decided to get a sample anyways and give it more tries at home. Tried more on skin and paper, within 30mins it becomes more lactonic, almost like some spoiled whipped cream. Gave me the same gag reflex as when you smell Sécrétions Magnifiques from ELd’O. Makes sense when I checked the notes, the marine notes with vanilla and ylang-ylang... yuk. _____ Projection, sillage, longevity : 6.5/10 Originality, presentation : 3.5/10 Quality, value : 1/10 3.5/10

this smells like getting into a bath of whole milk and sweating into it for a couple hours. the milk scent is so insanely realistic, but there's something a bit bodily or funky about it, so it smells really realistically of room temperature milk that's been left out and is ever so slightly starting to go off, rather than a cosy milk and cookies vibe or a refreshing cold glass of milk or something. it made me want to gag after having one spray on my wrist for half an hour, but it didn't smell bad? just so realistic it was a bit gross

Thick, cloyingly sweet and yet lactonic 🤢

A very cozy and comforting sweet creamy milk. Not overly gourmand, just enough other notes to keep it from becoming sticky. I dislike gourmands generally except fresh fruity/citrucy scents so that would tell you this isn't your typical gourmand at all. Very comforting. Some beachy notes in the background but this is mostly a hot creamy milk sweetened with vanilla to my nose. The other faccets like salty beachy accords and the peach are more in the background and not noticable as separate notes to me. They make this scent shine in summer heat. A soft creamy delicious summer scent. Feminine, soft, fluffy, almost motherly in it's cozyness but also sensual and absolutely addictive. I will have to test how this performs in the colder weather but I would assume it suits all seasons. Absolute masterpiece! Love. Love. Love. This is one of the best smelling perfumes I have ever smelled. My only complaint would be that I wish the sillage was bigger, it's about half an arm's leght max.

Well, this is surprising. It doesn’t smell anything like I thought it would. I was expecting a salty, fresh peach with a somewhat sweet tropical floral. It’s not light at all in fact the texture is dense like other’s have stated. I’m getting a thick prominent vanilla, smooth but oily musk, slight woody sandalwood, all backed up with a tiny bit of salt but you have to work a little to smell the sea salt. It definitely doesn’t smell at all marine or fresh to me. I don’t get any fresh peach. It’s a little more like a jammy peach vanilla more in a rich gourmand style of fragrance. It’s somewhat powdery from the woody sandalwood and musk the more the fragrance dries down.

I’m sorry this was a huge let down. The opening is a very sweet vanilla mixed with a very synthetic plastic peach scent. It reminds me of a very inexpensive body spray for a young girl. As it dries I get more of the marine note but it’s very faint. After 10-15 minutes it’s just a distant vanilla. After 30 min I’m struggling to smell anything.

"Marine" vanilla turning soapy and powdery. Not bad, almost a "like". Smells very familiar somehow. I feel like it contains same chemical compound as in Z&V this is her, both are lactonic, but the later is nutty, and this one is more "fresh". If you are looking for a salty vanilla for summer, there might be better other options.

This doesn’t smell lactonic to me at all and I’m disappointed by that (lait concentre is one of my favorites). Instead I get this heavy oiliness that smells familiar but i can’t quite put my finger on what it reminds me of. It also has this powdery-ness that doesn’t quite mix in well.

Little salty/musky/creamy drydown. I love the opening. Not 100% sold like I thought I would be. I think it smells like sweet warm milk. Will have to test more.

Wow... totally love this. it's milky vanillary perfection. Not overly sweet or overly simply like a lot of other vanillas.

On me it is a soft powdery creamy gourmand scent with a slight beachy (salt water) pop!
