Helioflora

Is this a simplistic fruity fragrance? Yes but it’s a fruity fragrance done well! It doesn’t smell exactly like designer fragrances and it doesn’t smell synthetic. In comparison to others I get fresh apricot and tart rhubarb right from the beginning! This is a bright fruity girly fragrance that is perfect for Summer. It may not be very “Niche” but I enjoyed this enough to get a bottle.

A very particular and evocative perfume. Helioflora is sour, incredibly bright and gentle. A modern youth, if I had to give a color to this perfume it would be pastel red, it is a beautiful, artistic and refined perfume! For me this perfume is a work of art. From Pierre, it's not a complicated fragrance. This is a simplier one, but this is also a very well blended and very round, sunny and sensual fruity floral what was maded with a delicate touch. The apricot rules the composition in a very nicely blended way. The fruits not shampoo like at all. The apricot is soo soft, full and luscious. ( It's almost overriped - But Not! Just perfectly riped- because that hint of the powderiness, which makes me feel the apricot is youthfull, and ashy-peachy, creamed and velveted.) And this rich, plumped and mellow fruit has a mild touch of lactonic facet, what makes it alluringly smooth and velvety; while the little tartness of the rhubarb makes the apricot a bit mango-ish. This phantom mango like facet what is paired with that light and soft yellow floral like lactonic nuances, adds some tropical vibe to the composition. This fruity softness is twisted by the hint of the green, fresh herbaliscious nuances of basil but it doesn't break this fruity smoothness. Moreover, the basil provides a contrast to the apricot, highlighting its round fullness even more. And the Buddelia flower ! This is what gives that bit of honey like, balmy sweetness to the apricot! And at the drydown there is a luxorious rich sandalwood. In my personal opinion the 'almost-milky' nuance which is creates that often mentioned sensation of mellow and round fullness, might comes from the lactonic sandalwood from the base, and peach lactone and/or sometype of yellow floral lactone. For me it feels like late May afternoons... I think if you searching for floral fruity fragrance which is totally misses that usual shampoo-ish fruity fresshness, but you disire an uplifting, sunshined, joyful but sensual (and almost creamy- but not in a vanillary way) type of fruity floral, and you like the riped apricot or mango, if you have chance test it!♡

so this is one of the latest PG scents and I had to try. It's fruity for sure although had I not known the notes, I would have had trouble pinning the apricot or rhubarb note down. This is more of a fresh take on fruits, slightly acidic. The sweeter undertone reminds me more of mango than apricot. This is another potential crowdpleaser, seems like in the last couple of years he's moving away from creating quirkier, intriguing perfumes. Now this one is still good when compared to commercial offerings, don't get me wrong. However, it the depth, concept and interest is far from his original line, e.g. numbered collection.

Received a sample of this with a recent order...clearly I'm in the minority here, but I like this a lot. I agree that it's nothing groundbreaking, but it stands on its own in my eyes. It reminds me of spraying Angel by Mugler after emerging from a swimming pool on a warm, breezy summer day. Sweet and effervescent, without being cloying. Would recommend.

Minimalistic, classy, powdery, green. Likely suitable for all occasions in the summer. It's not bad, but perhaps not worth the price.

I'm a fan of Pierre Guillaume's house, I think many of his fragrances deserve more praise. But Helioflora is a rather mediocre release. The apricot and rhubarb together read as mango to me. Juicy, sweet and tart tropical yellow fruit notes. It's nice. But there is a dusty, bitter undertone that I just don't like. Basil and sandalwood don't usually smell like this, but I guess that they just don't work as well with the fruity notes here. I didn't know what buddleja flower is, but I looked it up and I have actually seen this shrub in nature very often. It's called "summer lilac" in my country and is super common. I can't say that I smell it in this fragrance. I wonder why this is called Helioflora, it's not a floral scent at all and the name makes me think of heliotrope, which isn't even in the notes list. Performance-wise this is rather light. It's an okay scent but nothing to write home about.

Fresh, sweet and floral. Smells nice but somewhat generic. This candy floss and lollipop type of sugary fruity scents are quite popular to use in mass market perfumes. Of course, quality here is much better and you can actually feel some depth in it (with earthy patchouli undertones, not listed but I can feel them))). Follow me on IG: scent.guide

I was expecting more of a niche quality from PG. Usually they deliver too. Not this time, this is a very generic fruity smell. I get no distinct rhubarb (which I would expect to be tart, zesty, a little citrussy and a little green.) I get no distinct apricot (aromatic ripe fruit) I'm not sure what Buddleia is supposed to smell like, but basil I defo do not get. I get a very generic, designer style fruity frag, indiscernible slightly sweet fruit that can be described by literally any fruit as I get nothing distinct. Not niche mark by far, PG. No chemical mess which is probably a refreshing step up from your usual general fruity designer frag but come on. This is niche, niche price. Drydown is a little better on this front, it's an earthy patchy floralness (maybe this is the buddleia, like patch + a little post winter floral) ** 200+ samples for swap UK - check my customs - looking to swap a big bundle 10+ 50 ideally **

Uplifting, bright fruity floral scent. It's a very feminine, clean and pretty scent. The rhubarb and Apricot are the main notes here, the floral notes are difficult to discern to me. Overall, it feels like the fanciest, nicest shampoo you can ever get. And that is not bad, many times that is what I want to smell on myself. I would like to have a bottle.

A very simplistic fruity fragrance that's a little too sugary sweet for my taste. Also leaning quite feminine. Quite generic. It's nice but it's quite boring.

Oh Pierre! How terribly lackluster, insipid and fleeting this is! How much I adored your Isparta and has it really come to this?
