Indian Wood 11.1

This is a great fragrance. Very very clean vibe but not soapy. It's a little boring though, seems like a typical fragrance that I've smelled oh so many times. Since I have so many niche bottles now, I am very picky on what I actually purchase and this will get no further than the sample vial I own. Now I am very very glad that the perfumer decided to use coconut instead of lavender, it seems like leave far should of been used for the type of fragrance it is, but that's what makes this fragrance though. It's NOT woody as the name suggests. The base has some soft woody undertones, but if you are looking for a actual wood smell keep looking. Over all this fragrance lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin and longer on clothes naturally and the projection is ok, not bad but not good. The quality seems to be above average and the blend is great, no note over powers the other and such. I rate this over all 8.5/10

I picked up a bottle of Indian Wood 11.1 and only recently started sampling it as the sun starts to come out and the cold weather begins to subside in Vancouver. Indian Wood is a nice scent. It is a spicy aromatic fragrance with Indian spices like nutmeg and cardamon blended with sandalwood and coconut milk. The coconut is quite pronounced in this scent. This fragrance has a peppermint note, but I do feel it is fairly subtle relative to the spices and coconut. I also think the term 'wood' in the title of this fragrance is a bit misleading: the woods in this fragrance are not front and centre and this scent has a somewhat powdery vibe to it. I do like this Indian Wood. The spices and the coconut note make this a very pleasant fragrance. I'm looking forward to wearing this scent in the Spring and cooler Summer weather as well.

Love it! Perfectly unisex, woody yet fresh. I could easily see myself wearing this at night for a bbq or on a beach. It has this casual feel with it. I do tend to gravitate towards woody fragrances but there are not many I would wear on hols. This has the lovely zing from the lemon zest, vetiver and mint. I like the coconut aspect as well. The spices are the perfect touch. The sandalwood makes the perfect base. Moderate longevity and sillage.

Oh PG, why must you keep toying with me this way? I've only recently got to know the brand, and every time I try something new from them, it's such a disconcertingly random experience. They make terrific scents, and disasters, and "meh" ones. There are giant sillage monsters with unquenchable longevity and then there are heartbreakers which fade away within a distressingly short time. There are completely unexpected new combinations of ingredients, and utterly original things, and then others which are very much like something else. I'm all at sea with them. So: this one should have been a near-cert for me on paper, and indeed it's stuffed with delicious (not fakey-suncreamy, but genuinely creamy and fragrant) coconut and sandalwood and well-chosen spices of all the sort I like - but in fact, when sprayed, it just adds up to a rather mild-but-pleasant men's EdT sort of feeling. Like other people say it's surprisingly airy and fresh-outdoorsy for a supposed 'woody spicy', which doesn't have to be a bad thing. Yet almost unbelievably for something so heavy on big-hitting notes, it's crumpled down into a whisper of vague-yet-pleasant spicy skin scent in under 2 hours. What a shame. Frustrating because I like it a lot, when I can actually detect its presence; inside I feel like shouting at it "Speak up! I can't hear [smell] you!" Sorry PG but I think this one needs more work on the base to keep it hopping. It's in the right ballpark but just feels a bit unfinished.

Indian Wood opens with an exuberant burst of coconut bubblegum on me! The coconut mellows as the spices emerge, creating a sophisticated warmth. There is a very subtle minty undercurrent that keeps it fresh rather than cloying in spite of the sweetness of the coconut and spices. It’s enjoyable, but my olfactory memory is triggered... it smells so much like something I already own or know quite well. It’s like a well-crafted but somewhat forgettable scent you’d spritz in a duty-free shop at Charles de Gaulle airport. Pleasant and well done, but not striking among the other mainstream offerings. Finally I remember - that coconut-sandalwood warmth reminds me of Santal Complet, which I still prefer in all its fluffy delight... only wish it had the lasting power of Indian Wood!

This opens with a big, fresh patchouli note, oak moss, and lemon zest. Fresh, zingy, and kind of sour like the fresh patchouli type of note used in a lot of fresh mens' fragrances. The sandalwood and coconut milk really round it out so it starts to dry down a little fuller and creamier, and is a nice sandalwood but is missing something for me. A few minutes into the dry down and the mint starts to waft through. A little too fresh and masculine for me but I bought a generous sample size so I'll definitely reach for this occasionally as I can see the mint and creamy coconut milk being wonderful counterparts to warmer Spring weather. Beautiful fragrance and worth sampling.

well, not sure why all the 'hate' and low rating, honestly, to me there is absolutely nothing wrong with this one, and I'm known to be fussy...it is a nice sweet-ish woody blend, quite a smooth operator here. The only problem I may see with this one is relative comparison. It compares really well to anything that is non-PG but I can see how this may be a disappointment to PG fans (myself included). I agree that recently he has not really come up with anything nearly as ground-breaking as his first line(s) , the numbered cca 20 bottles. Let's give him a break, maybe the next one cuts it? Fingers crossed PG!

I can't stop sniffing my arms as this is both clean, creamy, and milky in the best possible way. Its a zesty and beautiful scent that reminds me a lot of Bleu De Chanel Parfum without the Bleu ( if that makes any sense ) but far more appropriate for tropical wear. The coconut milk accord here is really third-dimensional and adds an extra layer of creaminess. I'll be honest - I'm not a huge fan of coconut in general, but yet I'm sitting here almost convinced I need a full bottle of this. Only time will tell. Anyhow, I'm more than confident that any fan of sandalwood will absolutely love this.

Here we are: Between Jangala, Paris Seychelles and Indian Wood, the latter wins hands down ... I realized that the best coconut is not the coconut itself but its milk! The secret of this little gem? Just coconut milk. Nothing wrong with the mint accord that makes the fragrance very fresh! If you need me, I'm in the Maldives to have a drink with my feet by the sea. For now the best coconut I've ever heard. Rating: 8.5 / 10

Hmm 🤔 interesting combo of minty, sweet and woody notes with a bit of soapy and fruity undertones. Too much is going on here so it smells a little imbalanced, but still nice. It's OK, pretty aroma-chemicaly with some sort of amber wood fixative which dominates for me.

has struck me as quite overpowering! if you're looking for something that sticks around all day and smells a little bit like your average men's body spray (which I in fact was when I bought this) this is the perfume for you. not super tropical on the opening, I didn't really notice the coconut until I saw it in the notes, but definitely settles masculine yet a little sweet for my taste. smells warm and tasty, but I ended up finding it a bit too fruity-tropical. not overly offensive but not unique either.

I will repeat a little bit what has been said. Opening is very nice : citrusy, spicy, smooth sandalwood with a creamy coconut vibe. The dry down is a let down : heavy spicy minty fragrance with a kind of bubblegum sweetness in the back, very weird. Sample before buying.

This does smell like a creamier, less complex version of "HM" by Hanae Mori. It's that combination of grey, powdery oakmoss and dry, synthetic lemon peel that makes it initially so similar. After about 30 mins, the coconut note becomes more prominent. It's not a convincing coconut -smells sort of waxy, more like fig-flavoured lip balm than anything gourmand, which was the main disappointment. I love coconut, and I was expecting this to smell like an exotic dessert based on the combination of notes -cardamom, nutmeg and sandalwood among them- but it reminds me more of body cream or suntan lotion; Perfume-y and synthetic. Thumbs down.

The opening is great, spices and citrus, but then it takes a wrong turn and becomes too sweet (there's too much nutmeg I feel). This turns it into a cheapie 90s cologne, which is disappointing.

This opens lovely, but as it dries down it becomes much simpler, a bit sweeter than I’d prefer, and reminds me of something I couldn’t quite put my finger on until now - old spice fiji deodorant! I wore that for many years and this has that same creamy coconut, plus some freshness, plus some generic cheapie mens cologne vibe. If you like that deodorant and want a smoother version as a fragrance this could be perfect for you. I just wish the opening notes stuck around for longer and the base didn’t end up smelling quite this generic.

indian wood is amazing very clean but not fabreze clean is crisp , is rich and a little bit sweet there is something in the background that keeps this one woody but not dry it has a sweetness to it i like it . i really like is not love at first sniff but i really like it i am a musk lover but i could get into this woody scent just as much this is lovely !

I'm not impressed with this one. Locker room vibes. Ozonic, aquatic, cheap masculine. Not getting coconut or lemon zest, but some oakmoss, some woods. Could have been one of those random no name perfumes that you smell in the Perfume shop cheap male perfume ailse. Sorry to hate, but not niche mark for me.

I must say I’m surprised by how big the dislike bar is. This is an excellent tropical summer unisex scent. Price is right, I believe it’s $135 for 50ml, and it smells really nice. Performance could be a little better, 4-5 hours max on this. You will stand out with this scent. I’d rate it 7/10.

Started out with oakmoss and herb, then moved into a white floral number. Stunning, for the right person. Not me, though. It'd be something I want my wife to smell like. Booming, creamy and full-bodies. Breath-taking.
