La Nuit de L’Orchidee

Yeah, I’ve been testing this for a couple days. I feel like spraying it would give me a bit more. I’m choosing this for a hot date. It’s pretty unisex. I could see it smelling good on a man for a formal, black tie setting. But it’s feminine enough for me also for date night. It’s not too sweet at all. I like that. It has the smokiness was craving for a winter evening look. I don’t have enough smoky notes in my collection yet, so I would consider a full bottle of this. It reminds me personally of a more refined combination of decidedly : Putains des Palaces with the leather & Narcisco Rouge with the vanilla & musky notes. But I rarely wear Rouge bc it’s rather sweet & just too much rose. There’s no Violet listed but you get the powdery notes & that hazy purple feel to this like an old boudoir. I really like that aspect. Would smell pretty in hair also. I’m not a huge vanilla fan either but this well blended to where it’s not too forward and I’m getting the smokiness to round it out with the floral notes. It’s not very strong as my initial opinion but works well for date night. You have to be maybe pulled in a bit to smell it on me. I find that to be sexy. Now I just gotta pick out the fit to go with it.

Omg! Such a gorgeous hazy dark grey-purple and slightly cream colored scent. It's a fragile, feminin, sensual & elegant beauty! Its's a really dark & deep but soft and powdery, bit smoky but sooo smooth mellow and sophisticated & elegant (but also slightly edgy) sensual leathery vanilla scent with a a very feminin fragile and ethereal orchid veil on it. Perfect little black dress night scent. If i smell it, i see beautiful fragile model from the 90's heroin chic (like Kate Moss) on a classy after party who has pale skin and lips, mysterious but at the same time innocent eyes, and who wears smooky eyeshadow, an elegant luxurious little back dress and she is smoking.

Soft, seductive, slightly powdery, dry vanilla suede, with nuances of coco, iris, spicy woods. Smells expensive and very tasteful. As a color, it's a deep purple seen through hazy smoke. Stylistically reminds one of Tom Ford's orchids (but not quite as extra) and a little like Dior Homme Parfum (without the citrus). Not loud, moderate sillage. I predict a big hit for Pierre Guillaume with this one.

An elegant and sophisticated perfume! A liqueur vanilla, a "smoky" skin that makes the perfume attractive and mysterious. Very nice, I like it! Sillage: 9./10 Longevity: 9./10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

As I was having one of my well-known insomnia, I thought I needed to smell something new to distract my mind. I reached for my sample of "la nuit de l'orchidée". I don't know if there's a better way to discover this fragrance. The opening is a soft spice storm, almost wet and soily. Then you get the flower and her fruit, an elegant beauty, slightly feminine. The leather just accompanied the vanilla giving a very photorealistic bourbon. But there's enough fantasy to make the illusion that this is a sexy woman dreaming in a flower. After 20min, I could almost see the other animals that would be enchanted in the sight of this beauty. The leather intesifies, the musk and the smoke dissolve on my skin in an wild way. I fell asleep dreaming of a gorgeous jungle, like a little panther. One of my favorites now from Pierre Guillaume!

Soft, slightly spicy scent. It is a beautiful vanilla that doesn't feel gourmand, it feels like several scents I am familiar with, like a mix of coco noir with a more elegant and feminine version of Tobacco Vanille, and a very diluted Spirituese Double Vanille. Cozy but lightweight, interesting? yes! the drydown is very pretty, very enticing... To be honest, I like this a lot...might need a bottle in the near future...

I received my sample yesterday and this is a love at first smell, I can't stop sniffing my wrists. A soft suede vanilla scent, so comforting.

This is 90% similar to Sensuous Noir, the most beautiful Sensuous from Estée Lauder. Nostalgic fans adviced!
