Lime Sec

The whole Clubman Pinaud line is meant for barber shops and after shaving. That's how their products became famous. Don't expect much longevity or sillage; it's literally something you splash on after shaving and before getting dressed. Enjoy the refreshing scent as all yours.

I have to echo what mmaggi said; lime candy scent in a bottle. Some folks would be turned off by that, but not me, I'm weird. I like a sweet lime smell. :-D

Lime Sec,the name of this scent says it all. like others have said, the smell is very similar to a candy like lime scent. The scent is very simple yet fresh. You may also recognize this scent because it is very common to find at barber shops I would recommend wearing this in the spring/summer seasons. Value: I bought this on amazon for around $12 and it only comes in a 12.5 Oz bottle so it is worth buying because it is rather inexpensive. Longevity: Very weak, out of the Pinaud products that I have tried this is the weakest of them so far. Would I buy this again? Probably not. While the scent is very nice and fresh there is really nothing special about it. However, if you are a huge lime person I would recommend this product and would bet you will enjoy it. Pinaud Clubman Lime Sec... this one was my first Pinaud Clubman aftershave adventure and not the last. It was the color that attracted me but the scent lived up to my expectations. Not a zesty juicy lime but a limey- woody- creamy/powdery scent. The musk mellowed it out a bit. I also use it as a hair tonic when combined with a few drops of unscented baby oil for hair conditioning purposes. Without the oil it dries out the hair too much. All Pinaud Clubman aftershaves can be used as hair tonic like that.

If you are familiar with the Pinaud line, Lime Sec is exactly what you would expect. It is an old school, manly, soapy clean scent. It smells great but is fleeting, which is typical. Lime Sec is one of my Spring/Summer go to's after a nice Sunday morning shave. I follow it up with something like Royall Lyme or Under the Lemon Trees and it makes a great gym combo. Cheers!

Yup, echoing everyone else: Mostly all lime with a tinge of something soapy and very little musk. It explodes with a burst of lime that quickly settles and mixes in with the soapy base afterwards. I guess you could call it Lime Second. Could be a nice aftershave for warmer days. To be honest, despite the soapiness, I'm OK with it. But I wouldn't wear it often.

A pleasant lime/musk that is probably the most short-lived juice of anything I've yet experienced from Pinaud. It's a refreshing quick hit for casual occasions, continuing the house's rep for delivering good scents for little money. Worth a try, especially in warmer weather.

This is what a Spring/Summer aftershave is all about for me. Great citrus blast with quick musk dry down. Softer than others and more short-lived which allows me to spray on my Spring/Summer citrus fragrance with little to no competition. One of my go tos for Summer.

Lime. You have to like lime and it's a sweet smelling lime. Almost smells like lime candy.

Jolly Rancher artificially flavored lime candy with a dash of bathroom cleaner. I can't imagine a guy wanting to use this as an aftershave, I use my bottle as hand sanitizer.

Take two limes brothers,press their heads till all the juice is out and splash it onto you visage.That’s it.A very boring refreshner.

Lime Sec, or "Dry Lime," isn't very dry, but in passing it does smell like a little bit of natural lime oil, mixed with some obviously synthetic lime hard candy. Bear in mind though that for a super cheap cologne, the quality of the lime note is quite good, if you can get past the limonene afterburn. Reading reviews of this scent on a wetshaver forum prior to trying it led me to believe it would literally smell like a lime jolly rancher, all sugary sweet and nondescript. That's fortunately not the case at all - there is a bit of sweetness, and the citrus notes smell edible, albeit a bit harsh. Sweet + edible = candy, to most people. Not necessarily to me, though. Lime is naturally a bit sweet, definitely more mellow than lemon, and it has a woody edge to it. They tried to capture that essence in this formula, and it was a near miss. The longevity is bolstered past the five minute point by a subtle coumarin and white musk accord that simply reads as soapy "fresh" on skin. There's also a hint of lavender in the drydown, which suggests that the "linalool" ingredient was intended to reproduce a fougere effect, and in that regard I think this was an affable success, in the same manner as the equally beloved Skin Bracer by Mennen. You don't wear something like Pinaud Lime Sec to impress anyone, not at $8 a bottle. It's simply an unconventional wetshaver utility, best used on casual Fridays, weekends, cookouts, and before playing cards with the boys.

I admit to being a fan of several other Pinaud fragrances. I splurged (well, just barely!) and bought almost every variety in the line. I know that they are low concentration of scent components due to the intended use, so I applied with a very heavy hand in order to really evaluate the product. I have to admit that I really dug the abrasive lime assault on the initial application. Some lovely bitter really line essence, but then a huge dose of bright lime candy scent. I kept smelling myself during the first 5-6 minutes, but the top faded rather quickly. The mid note florals were tepid and unobtrusive and eventually faded into a weak and totally skin close dry down. Though the ingredient list includes a fair distribution of aroma chemicals that I tend to enjoy, the end effect was all but pointless. A cheap 12.5 Oz bottle... It's worth it just to enjoy the gaudy lime assault... Maybe I'll figure out another splash to layer onto it... Addendum - the ingredient list is really tough to read, but it's worth noting. Contains the following : alpha-isomethyl ionene*, amyl cinnamal*, benzyl benzoate, butylphenyl methylpropional*, cinnamal, citral, coumarin, eugenol, geraniol, hydroxycitronallal, limonene, color... Items marked "*" are restricted use compounds by IFRA. Each is a known irritant and sensitizer.

A candy lime scent. Just lime. I don't think it makes for a good fragrance. I do think it makes a good aftershave. Really needs a Lime concocted edt or edp layered on top of it. Just a nice lime bomb aftershave. Really nice during Summer.

Kind of a joke at this point. Bought a bottle while on a "lime kick". Alcohol and lime evaporates almost instantly. Best used for a hand sanitizer.
