Orchidea Reale

I don't even remember how I stumbled on this fragrance but I bought a small decant of it off eBay and am wearing it now. THIS is what Black Orchid should have been. It's rich, chocolaty, truffled. The scent is hard to describe because it's so dang well blended. It all merges into a warm, feminine, sensual buzz of melting chocolate and earthy truffle. There's no mustiness, no hint of rot like with Black Orchid. The result is almost honeyed, but that's not quite right. There is gentle floral implications, I could see an orchid smelling like this, jungly and surprising. It's sophisticated and cozy. Really enjoying it. I've been wearing this a lot. Love the scent, however it lasts max of 5 hours on me. I'm not willing to spend so much on a perfume with such poor staying power.

This is a gorgeous semi floral gourmand with a fruity cocktail top notes. Jasmine and ylang-ylang brought the creaminess that matched well with the vanilla and cocoa. In fact, the dark chocolate base is not too sweet, but the black currant is sweeter at the beginning.
