Cozy incarnate, like wearing a warm wool sweater against the bitter frigid cold Opens up with this bright, sweet raspberry fruitiness contrasted against this cotton, static-y, wooly note that is drop dead stunning. As it dries down the wool note begins to be surrounded by thick and sweet honey, dry, slightly dusty beeswax, a slight brown sugar/molasses vibe, and the remaining fruitiness. The focus never leaves the wool, but the supporting players ebbing and flowing in support of the wool. One of the most unique yet super pleasing wearing experiences I’ve had in a long time. The wool tincture here is on full display, but it doesn’t smell super animalic. Rather, it smells like a warm and fuzzy piece of wool clothing. Bucolic gives you all the good parts of an animalic without any of the bite. Tied for my favorite from the house, and easily one of the easiest to wear too. Would make for a fantastic F/W staple and a great date fragrance. Lasts an easy 24+ hours on my skin and weeks on clothes, which is to be expected of Pineward. Strong projection for the first hour but forms a nice arms length bubble around you after that for the next 15+ hours. 9.5/10. Song vibe - The Weekend - Funk Wav Remix by SZA & Calvin Harris TLDR - A wonderful animalic gourmand that doesn’t have any real rough edges, all the while retaining the cozy sexiness that make animalics great. Just like your favorite wool sweater, spray this on when there’s a chill in the air and you’ll find yourself steeled against anything the world throws at you

One of the more interesting ones from my samples as it truly does smell a tad animalic / soft like you are sleeping amongst the sheep like clouds. There is a sweet note in this that doesn't quite fair well with me, but I do find this a very interesting scent. It evokes what it is supposed to. Will I buy a full bottle? No, but I'm sure this will be great for the right person. EDIT: Okay, might be full bottle worthy. The dry down is really nice. It makes me feel like I'm in the 1400s living on a farm where I grow grain and make bread. I read the bulletin board in the center of town talking of a Martin Luther who wants to reform the church. . .Really cool scent if it can evoke that feeling in me. I'm impressed! Wasn't a fan of the opening, but the dry down is hitting different. EDIT 2: OKAY, this fragrance GROWS ON YOU. My goodness. I am now a huge fan of the sweet note lol What a fantastic addition to Pineward.

One of my favorite perfumes ever, I dare to even call it my signature... That being said: I am very biased as it brings up pleasant memories of my childhood in upstate NY. County fairs, 4-H exhibitions, cornfields, wet summers, et cetera. I got it as a sample at first and then committed to the 10ml spray, as with most ""difficult" scents I'd say proceed with caution. Heady livestock scent, pretty photorealistic sheepiness and hay that is softened later by the sweetness of the honey and raspberry. I am super partial to the subtle honey, so I layer up the wazoo and right now I've settled on the Victoria's Secret honey body oil + lotion combo. In terms of "where" to wear, I wouldn't put this on before going to the office. I keep it to personal gatherings or outings and have lately just been wearing it at home, or putting on before bed. It's quite pricey [for me] but I enjoy it too much to ration.

While I have been a city girlie my whole life (and therefore only met sheep in petting-zoo like settings), this fresh wool smell is beautiful. I don't know if it is accurate, but what people are calling animal 'funk' I genuinely think is bias. This is unique, whimsical, and sweet. I can see why people call it 'powdery', but that is mostly if you are sniffing the skin directly. When people walk by with it (I sprayed it on my partner), I mostly get that fresh wool and lavender with a hint of honey. Not as strong sileage as some other pineward samples I've picked up, but defiantly worth getting the bottle.

My favorite from pineward so far! The wool smell can come off as a bit 'petting zoo' ish vibe, but i really don't mind it. It's comforting for a reason I can't name, and very unique. Has a 4-5 issue hour lifespan, and tones down to a faint smell around that five hour mark. I got a few compliments while out and about, so i'll definitely get another bottle at some point! Has a very sweet, lavendery smell underneath thst becomes more noticeable after the wool smell fades.

Finally! I’ve been wanting to review this for awhile. This is for those who miss the essence of farmland. It’s a herd of sheep wandering through a lavender valley with brown sugar & honey nuances that pull it all together.

I get a slight raspberry and wooly musk . Smells like a warm wool sweater. Its great on it's own but also layers very well with Tuscan leather or Terroni . Probably best suited for fall or winter.

like walking into a horse stable minus the manure. smells like hay and baby powder. i missed the raspberry notes, unfortunately, but this is a soft and pleasant scent.

I get the beeswax note pretty strong, with the wool note it's nearly bitter? Yet so soft and sweet. Smells to me like rural north Wales

A sweet sheep, warm and cozy animalic 🐑

I get a springy, soft, pillowy, sweet grassy smell with a warm oily character (fresh wool sweater!), towards the middle a very beeswaxy smell, that's smothered with honey, a little buttery with that oily wooly softness. It smells like the bee products stand at the farmer's market! It is very evocative of the idea of warm soft homespun sheep's wool next to a stack of bee products. To me, it smells warm and fresh but in a sunny way. I work extensively with sheep, goats, pigs, and monkeys, been steeped in many intense barnyard, zoo, and animal smells. This does not in any way smell evocative of a barn to me, or have any of the smell of a real living sheep. It smells like honey, beeswax, a little like fresh hay, and clean soft wool. I did not get any animal funky smell (which is actually why I bought the sample lol). This isn't something I would wear, but it is SO pleasant to sniff. I think it would be great applied to a blanket. My boyfriend with a sensitive nose and high susceptibility to funky/rank smells did not smell any barnyard, ungulate, or poopy smells either.

This is the perfume I wear on days where I don't want to smell like I'm wearing perfume. It smells like a clean wool blanket, with a slight sweetness from the honey. There is the slightest animalic funk under the wool, but if anything, I think this could stand to become even more prominent. I blind bought this, because I love the stink of wet wool and lanolin, but as I said, the fragrance actually comes across as very clean. There is a teeny tiny bit of a urine note from the honey, but you really have to go searching for it. Again, it could be stankier in my opinion. I don't really get any of the lavender or raspberry on my skin. Just clean fresh wool with a slight earthy sweetness. This perfume is very one-note, it doesn't take you on a journey, but the one note it has is very cozy and comforting. The recommendation on the website was to not blind buy this, but I did it anyway; and it turned out to be a safer bet than I thought. Don't get me wrong, I really like this, but I wish they'd been a bit bolder with the lanolin.

Like clean, warm cat fur in the best possible way. There's a smooth, inviting, honeyed mild powderiness, like someone just used a high-end cashmere musk body cream and put on a favorite wool sweater, but their cat jumped into their lap for attention while they were drinking their chamomile tea. It's an extremely polite animalic and I can get the wool, but rather than barnyard it really does translate to a cozy day in and nuzzling a beloved pet. *** I've had to come back and edit this because I started out thinking "Well this is unexpectedly pleasant" but I've grown absolutely obsessed with it since. I thought I was on a quest to smell like a forest, but somehow I've gotten lost and fallen into a bottle of sheep sauce and it might be my new signature scent. Something's gone terribly wrong but I couldn't be happier—I'll be looking into Meleg Honey Deer Musk as well but I'm pretty sure I'm buying a full bottle of this for my birthday.

IT SMELLS LIKE SHEEEEEP. SHEEP! This is such a unique perfume for that it exactly replaces the smell of sheep, with a side of petting zoo. It is no exaggeration that it smells like a sheep, full on sheep. I love it so so so much because of that, but do I dislike it because I don't want to smell like a fair petting zoo. It does bring me so much joy about the fact I have the smell of sheep in a little bottle, but its truly never something to be worn. Its more like a little trinket I show all my friends being like "you wanna smell a sheep"? Its such a delight, and I truly recommend it for the whimsy!

Smells like honey and sweet grass and wool. I think id like it more sans wool. The wool kind of has a animal funk/musk to it. Im glad I have a sample and it is likable but not sure if I’d buy it. Okay the wool does kind of grow on you. Makes me think New Zealand though Ive never been, just seen pictures of sheep doing sheep things

Actually smells like sheep! Sweet and comforting and reminds me of the petting zoo I went to as a child. Not sure if the fragrance is for me, as it is a bit too powdery, but definitely impressed with how accurate it is.

This truly smells like a petting zoo and baby powder. It's decisively musty and a little sweet and fruity. Maybe I've completely lost my sense of what a wearable scent is, but I feel like most would find it pleasant!

Too baby powdery for me, but I get how some people could love this. Still a good and complex scent, evocative of sheep + wool and honey. I wish longevity was a bit better!

I read the description and reviews and, in my hubris I thought, I fucking love petting zoos, of course I'll want to smell like one. but i am weak. it's not like the concept of sheep, it's like there's very real, very invisible sheep in the room with you. the notes of sweetness and grassiness arent additional elements to give the impression of softness or coziness, they're just the regular background smells you might experience while being the presence of these spectral sheep. impressively realistic and well crafted! sillage is great, noticeable without being overwhelming, and it lasts all day. I'd give this a :) rating, but i can't honestly say that i like it. But I'm not going to give it a :( because it's still super fun to layer when you want an extra earthy, animalic kick.
