Clemenpine

I got this as a free sample when I bought the GORGEOUS Lime Cola. My daughter loves Clemenpine. She says it reminds her of those super thin lemon cookies & now I have to buy her a bottle UPDATE: this is the daughter speaking! I’ve had Clemenpine for a while now and absolutely love it! I wear it nearly every day and think it’s so interesting and yummy. However, I feel the need to mention this, as I haven’t seen anyone else say it: this perfume smells like coconut. I’ve gotten multiple comments on it, saying things like “I like your perfume. It smells like it doesn’t have anything in it but coconut”. Bafflingly, there’s no coconut in it. I love coconut, so I’m very pleased about this, but I think people should be aware of the secret coconut.

I love it for autumn colder weather. starts with candied blood orange and in rushes the ambergris to center stage, kind of baby doll plastic like mfk 540 with the saffron and ambergris together but also heavy with the pine and leather together which are heavenly. got a big compliment on it today, they kept asking to sniff again and again so i made them a decant sample. i bought clemenpine, katabatic and greymist for fall/winter. so in love with these news ones from pineward.

Dang, this fragrance is amazing. Off the rip, I get some citrus but it isn’t the sharp citrus you’re thinking of. It’s a softer more candy like citrus, fresh but sweet. Then, it’s overcome with this soft leather that’s so good and wearable. The leather almost is powdery and almost vanilla like. So good! Longevity: 11-12hr Projection: 5-6ft

really good, this is my second time smelling ts and its definitely better than i remember. smells like something an outlaw (with decent hygiene) from the Midwest would wear. leather,smoky,dirty,fruity

Smells like the local surf shop with boards drenched in surf wax.

Fruity, citrusy of clementine in the beginning is realistic, but it doesn't last long. About 2 minutes after spraying, clementine becomes dry and candy-sweet, with the dominance of suede leather and dry woody notes. At this point, suede stays linearly on the skin, then becomes smoother until the dry tobacco appears along with it in the drydown and disappears. I will only wear Clemenpine during cold day because the suede and passion fruit would be too sour and astringent for cool weather, warm weather will make it worse. It's a good fall-winter choice that reminds me of holiday vibe.

The name is incredibly misleading, neither the pine nor the clementine are the main notes here. Despite that, it’s a lovely scent nonetheless. This opens with very strong leather and suede, with a touch of leathery passion fruit and blood orange. The clementine is only really a background surprisingly. You get fresh and smoky tobacco covered pine needles with an ambery saffron as well. This is sweet, it’s leathery, slightly smoky, and only a hint of fruity citrus in the dry down.

Smells almost like an old fashioned sans the alcohol. It's a very wonderful scent that while having no immediate top notes, slowly works in a large array of different scents as it ages. It's hard for me to pin down any besides the citrus and wood focus (which is why it reminded me of an old fashioned). The scents are very subtle and hard to notice at first compared to other more bombastic perfumes, but still wonderful despite that.

Go ahead and smite me, but I wore this at work and all I could think about was one of those syrup drenched snow cones from a summer fair. It really made me think of the Piña Colada flavor. I really really like this. I'm considering a full bottle. Lasts a while and I could smell it pretty much any time I moved.

I like it. The leather accord really comes through. I have a thing for fruity leather scents and this is definitely that... It's sweet but not cloying at all. There is a sharpness or bite to it in the opening but it dries down very smooth and lovely. And lasts a long time.

Sweet sultry and fresh, clemenpine is a lovely little sweet freshie, with a sexy sweet citrus soft suede dry down. This is another gem in the pineward crown.

On first spray I really liked this! The clementine-woody-suede combo plays nicely with each other, at least on my skin. You only really pick those up close though, otherwise... yeah, like some others mentioned, it does just overall smell like coconut. It's not enough for me to fully dislike it, mind you- i think this would work well enough for a nice summer evening or early fall day outing, but its probably not something I'd get a full size of or go to grab readily. Like I said, you can pick out the notes pretty well up close which is the main saving grace for me. I feel Pineward's otherwise accurate with naming and descriptions, so this just wasn't quite what I was expecting. The clementine and the pine definitely take a far backseat to the not-actually-coconut. I'm really curious what note combination is causing that. Overall: Doesn't project too far; hangs pretty close, longer lasting (8 hour custodial shift- quite a bit of walking and stooping). Leathery - piney - citrus up close. Note: the citrus fades kind of quickly and isn't that strong. Needs a different name I think. Coconut (to my untrained nose) from anything farther from a couple inches from where its sprayed **other reviewers were not exaggerating about the coconut** It's the only comment I've gotten while wearing it.

It’s.. nice, I guess? I don’t know what to think. On one hand, it’s sweet, a bit citrusy sour, and the leather, pine, tobacco, and whatever other heavy notes listed aren’t too in your face. On the other hand, it makes me feel just a bit nauseous. It could be the tobacco or suede? Something in there is just... flat. Update: I second the other reviewer’s coconut. It’s the flat sweetness of coconut I get from afar. I tend to dislike most coconut notes, that is my issue with this. When I first sprayed it I even thought about getting a little dram, but after fully drying down and evolving, I don’t think it’s quite for me.

Nothing too special about this one! It hit the marks where it needed, sweet oily citrus with aged oak. The clementine is sweet like a hard candy and the leather/woody notes make it feel a bit western. Yummy though the clementine died out a bit quickly :)

A bit of a letdown. I was expecting explicit pine with a touch of clementine. What I got is a suede bomb mixed with tobacco and orange notes. Pine is an undertone, at best. It's not bad; it's borderline good. Anyway, I'll Pass.

So far, Clemenpine seems to be the most perfume-like of those I've sampled from Pineward. The opening citrus here is well done for what I believe is a self-taught artisan perfumer, so I give props. They transition to a touch of Tropathiane (passionfruit) and a muscled suede accord—Suederal, Safraleine, etc. it seems. Perfume nerds will know that both of these will easily hijack a blend, and yes, unfortunately, they do so here. They pretty much propel the composition forward, while the trademark conifers of this house are pushed to the periphery. Clemenpine in the end isn't really so much about clementine (nothing drives the citrus illusion to the heart) nor isn't really about pine (the presence of pine is dampened by the aggressiveness of the leather-saffron materials). The tobacco accord that appears further into the development results in this being more like an artisan version of a Marc-Antoine Barrois, and frankly, that disappoints me, as I hoped Pineward would not fall for these sorts of fragrance tropes. I am not impressed.

Finally more have been added into the database! This and Hayloft are my favorites so far! I also favor white fur (which really should of taken the clemenpine nomenclature) As for the tobacco, you won't find it here sadly, but this is still very much a worthy fragrance. Clemenpine smells like Orange Fast industrial hand soap but it is sooooo good and different. This is not a bright orange but more of the kind of candied orange you would smell from them orange airborne effervescent tablets! So orange fast and airborne with hayloft's sweetness and you have this gem. It lasts all day too! I just sprayed some more and I can pick up more notes that I haven't picked up before like the the passionfruit and mysore wood! Easily on my top 10 top 15

This fragrance is quite special to me, it’s one of those perfumes that transports you to a very particular moment, place and time. This smells exactly like a hot whisky to me. Irish winter time standing with your friends in the smokers area out the back of a pub, wrapped up in your coats, hats and scarves with your hot beverage warming your hands. The sweetness from the brown sugar, warm spices from the cloves and the citrusy fragrance being released from the hot lemon slices. I got this as a sample from a previous order and will definitely be getting a bigger bottle.

14th sample from Pineward!! I L O V E this one! its totally misleading like the others say, instead of clementine i get passion fruit blood orange saffron that play around back stage while the leather takes front. this performs well and fits into the same calming category as most other pineward frags. longevity and projection are all excellent at like 10 hours, and 2 hours projection. 8/10 frag!

I tried a sample of this in one of the forum's traveling sample boxes a few months ago. It was a pretty even split between citrus and pine, nice, but like many Pineward scents, leaned a bit candley.

I love clementines (hence my pfp) so I will certainly have to try this out
