Funerie

I love it. The smoky, dry, leathery (an antiquey smell, not an oiled leather smell - I think more like the idea of leather than like maintained tack or gear) opening hits you like a plume of dust, it settles to a resiny, very slightly sweet (like old dried roses), incensy, smoky smell. It's close to the smell I bake into my jacket by holding it up to campfire smoke and putting off washing it as long as I can, and reminds me of metaphysical stores, but the kind with walls of herbs, not plastic junk. It lingers for a long time (~8 hours on my skin), but after the first ~20 minutes, the area of effect is immediately around my body. My partner took a while to warm up to the leather smell, but ended up liking it too. I do not get any fungal, moist, damp, dank smell from this whatsoever. I was bracing myself for a dank, rotting, musty vegetation smell. I thought Eldritch smelled more actually fungal, mulch, and dark. Maybe it's because I'm inexperienced, but I'm having trouble identifying what's challenging about it outside of people maybe just not liking the strong smoky/incensy smell. A day or two later on the cuffs od my jacket, maybe I get a slight whiff of dried mushrooms, but mostly the remains of smoky incense. On its own, its very pleasant, but not entirely "me". I ended up wearing Caravansary (coniferous, camp-firey) with it and really enjoyed the combination. I took a walk and happened upon an old Moravian graveyard. I spent time looking at the piles of leaves, taking in the washed out colors of old leaves and moss, and crouching down to read all the weathered stones. I felt pensive, reflective, and calm while snuggling into my jacket and sniffing my wrists was delightful. I dusted my wool hat with it. I think if you're actually looking for a scary, decaying, actively rotting smell, this wasn't it! If you want to smell like smoke, leather, and incense, a mysterious and slightly metaphysical smell, with a surprising soft/sweet edge, you might like it. If it evokes any kind of decay, it's something long dead and mummified, beautifully, on purpose, under a dusty bell jar - but again, as an image, and not the literal slightly fishy smell of a mummified critter from the attic. I found this to be more of a daytime smell than a night smell. It smells a lot more leathery on clothes than on skin.

At first, I really couldn't stand this fragrance. I was planning to wear it as a part of a project where I was pairing a perfume to a character that I worked as for a haunting job, and I couldn't get past the dark, almost rotting smell that it seemed to give off. As I wore it, I realized that what it was giving off wasn't very forest-like, unlike what Funerie describes on the website. It was cloying, very alcoholic and deep, and too challenging for my very brand-new-to-perfumery nose. The dry-down, though, was more pleasant, and the oud comes out very well in the notes of this perfume. It reminds me of peaty earth, of a decaying forest full of death and the smell of mushrooms and dirt after a hearty rain, but without the note of petrichor. It was still too challenging to wear, and made me a little nauseated, but did last for a very long time. I think it was the myrrh and tobacco notes that stuck around for me, and the rose was lost in translation. I think personally the blood was there, but accumulative and not bold and in-your-face. I found that the more time I spent away from the perfume, however, the more I was drawn back to it and the more I wanted it on my skin again. I've tried a couple of other perfumes by Pineward, including Holy Cross and Eldrich, of which me and my partner both wore amicably (And Eldrich I will be buying a full bottle of, it was worth the small bottle blind-buy), and I would absolutely recommend Funerie for those that love a deep, thoughtful fragrance. I think it's got its moments of when it should be worn, and it's definitely a challenging fragrance, but I've come to love it for what it is. It's haunting, it's illustrious, it's a hunter deep in the woods flaying deer and smoking cigarettes. There's an embodiment that does tell a story, even if it doesn't quite match the description of what Pineward puts out on their website. I think it's one of my favorite smells to this day.

A study in Decay. "Death" would have been another aptly chosen name for this composition. What Nick managed to pull off with this one is incredible. A perfume so dark, primitive, and challenging that yet manages to stay poised throughout the wear, mysterious, sexy, and even inviting. It feels like a script from Edgar Allan Poe, a Danse Macabre, not just a mindless puddle of concentrated and unusual raw materials. It is compelling. It opens up with a powerful Morel Mushroom note, meaty, organic, and earthy. Shortly after, the rest of the notes start to unveil. The scent evolves as a whole, rather than showing a classical progression. Accords like rose, leather, frankincense, agarwood, and myrrh interplay like being inside a whirlwind. At times, some of them unveil more than others, and they go back and forth like that. However, the main players, to my nose, are always the mushroom, the leather, and the resins. Therefore, it smells, for the most part, like a centuries-old leather garment that has been dragged through soil, and infused with the smoke of burning resins. The rose pops in and out, withered, lifeless. The oud and the cedar play together to create a woody accord in which the oud dominates. I feel that the mushroom and the oud work beautifully together, as the yeasty facets in these complement each other. The mushroom note dominates throughout the wear, imbuing an organic feel to the composition. A unique perfume. A rite of death celebrating nature's decay, and the dead have exquisite taste. I think Treacle just got dethroned for my favorite Pineward perfume. Review based on the original formula, yellow juice. The new one differs greatly, unfortunately. IG:@memory.of.scents

Been wanting this one for so long and I finally got a sample. Off the bat it is so smoky and warm. The blood note in this is striking and I’m surprised I was able to pick it up right away. It’s hot and thick with a touch of mineralic sweetness. Not dissimilar to Toskovats “Inexcusable Evil”. The smoke is, at first, a freshly lit fire of rotten logs. Has a very alive and choking quality to it that you really only get from a face full of wind blow campfire. That fiery heat cools rather quickly to an almost musty ashen residue. Like it lit up on your skin and burned down to dusty coals. Adore this. There is certainly a heavier blend of incense in the beginning. That I feel smooths into a well worn leather. You’re left with an arsonist leaving the scene of their latest crime donning a vintage leather jacket. Maybe a tinge of blood drying on their face as they drive through a hot summer night in a smoked out old truck. Honestly very wearable and another winner from Pineward. Update: I was able to get a sample of the original formulation. '22 is sweeter and stickier in my opinion. They are very similar and I love them both deeply but '22 might come out on top here. The florals remain newly dead and drying, smoke still swirls about but something about this feels more harmonic and mellow. The blood note isn't as strong but a warm metallic sweetness is still present. Raw honey comes to mind. Though it feels wild and dripping out of a hive grafted to a dead pine. Reminds me of vulture bees. As always, with Pineward, I'm head over heels in love with this original formulation. I need this stuff by the barrel.

If you want to wear a smell to offput people by your brooding nature, here it is. It’s described as having smoke, leather, resin, mushrooms, oak moss, decaying roses, and notes of blood. It’s supposed to smell like a funeral.. and I see why. Think about trudging through a forest on a damp fall evening to come across a secluded graveyard. The stones are covered in moss and there’s a pile of soil next to a deserted plot of land. This perfume is definitely meant to feel isolated, old, and decaying. If you were to ask me what it smelled like, upon the test strip it smelled like tongue depressors. Now on my skin? Evil tongue depressors. The nature is so green and dead it’s almost overwhelming, the smoke note at the opening is suffocating! It’s like this horrible sense of existential dread put into a cologne so your scent bubble can remind you that your death in inevitable I scrubbed this perfume off immediately, I couldn’t relax smelling it in every breath. Even after a deep painful scrub, the scent remained. The scent that clings to my skin now is still earthy, dirty, woody, but it has a tinge of sweetness. A faint memory, an inkling of sweetness that is enamoring and leaves you smelling for more

Honestly I dont even care, this is a masterpiece. I have been looking for a scent that can recreate the idea of how mushrooms grow and feed themselves. They decompose matter to get nutrients. And i feel like that's how the fragrance smells like. The juxtaposition between decay and growth, death and life, darkness and light. The smokey dried roses with a mushroom and soil accord create such an evocative picture in my head of a new bunch of mushrooms growing on the side of a tree, using the cemetery flower arrangements to grow even stronger.. As some people say, it may be a take on how death would smell like, and if that's it, then it is hauntingly beautiful. I always carry a small sample of it in my bag. It is such a comforting scent to me; maybe also because I have some mushrooms tattooed on me, also on my profile picture here. Whenever I wear it I feel like I am accompanied by this weird warmth and comfort. On my skin the scent lasts pretty long, and it projects quite well, as I have gotten some comments while wearing it. As with other Pinewards, it can stain clothes so careful with that.

I love love love this fragrance! I bought a full sample set and am slowly working my way through the full Pineward offering, but Funerie is really a stand-out for me -which I wasn't expecting. I really thought the dark forest scents were the ones that were going to blow me away. So I have a thing where anything rose turns really sour and acrid on my skin. I can't wear it. I even actively avoid perfumes that have rose listed as a note. However, I sprayed this on myself: and between enjoying the leather and the smoke and the myrrh (mmmm I love myrrh), I suddenly picked out a hint of - rose? How could I smell rose?! Rose never smells like rose on me! So, maybe it's the novelty speaking here, but I'm really interested in getting a full bottle of this once I've used up my sample. I'm really enjoying the mix of leather, dusty potpourri and incense. I can't say I can pick out the blood, oud or mushrooms in this, but maybe they just blend into the overall dusty smell. In any case, if this sounds appealing to you, you should give it a try

Funerie grasps you first with a unique mixture of tangy blood and wild mushrooms. Never having experienced an opening like that before, I would say that it's quite earthy (perhaps overwhelmingly so, for some people) but also pleasant in the sense that it elicits memories of time spent in the deep forests near where I grew up. Not challenging to my nose at all. When it reaches it's heart of smoky wood, incense, rose and leather it turns feminine. I would really enjoy smelling this on a lady, it's just not for me. This is a very gothic fragrance for a deeply confident, domineering, dark in spirit and dress sort of woman. To put it simply, Funerie is what Morticia Addams would wear. Also, the ingredients that are being used here are of extremely high quality. Nothing smells synthetic. This is all lovingly artisanal perfumery. Pineward has nothing but my utmost respect.

I bought a small sample of this perfume because it was described repeatedly as not a safe blind buy. I agree that it's likely not a safe one for the average person, but if you're into dark, woody scents, I highly recommend Funerie. I don't quite get the dried rose notes, at least very strongly. What I do get is a very distinct profile of burning, resinous wood. It's an eerie scent in a way. It makes me think of candles and cigars lit at a burial in the woods, or a cabin in the woods at night. The iron note of blood is very, very subtle, but definitely in the background, in a strange, but not unpleasant way. The perfume itself, though, is very strong. A little goes a long way. If you want to feel like an old vampire buried in the pines, or maybe like you're doing a cult ritual in the backwoods, this is for you.

This is my favorite fragrance to date. Masterfully crafted and incredibly photorealistic, I feel like I’m transported back to a 16th century rural apothecary when I wear this. It’s dark and heavy, surprisingly sweet in a dry and fleeting sense, but that sweetness is grounded by the oud and fungi. It evokes something very melancholic, and never fails to lead me down a path of wishing I was alive in a different time when simple aspects were much more meaningful. It starts out as this symphony of dried roses and incense, which becomes partially shrouded by the earthy notes on the drydown. As it fades, it becomes much more incense-heavy. Perfumery is so fascinating, it seems like the story told by the timing of certain notes appearing and fading was entirely intentional.

My third from Pineward and it does not disappoint. Marvelous. It is unfortunate that my wife despises it. Immediately after spraying, I decided to grace her with my presence. It didn't take two seconds for her to reply, "Absolutely Not!". This was loud at first and certainly not to her liking. I get the smoke and the copper (blood like) tinge. This feels so like nature. Maybe what Rambo smelled like as he covered himself in mud to hide. Maybe not! 😁. It is done really well. Yet, it fits the category of fragrances that would be hard to wear around my wife. Therefore, a full bottle is out of the question. A small bottle for me to.enjoy when I am alone may absolutely work. 8 hours in longevity. Really loud at first and a skin scent about 2 and 1/2 hours. Happy hunting.

I love funerie- leather, incense, and dried roses are some of my favorite smells, and pineward does it wonderfully. It’s incredibly strong, I don’t even need a full spray, all I need to do is push down on the lid enough for a drop to come out and the smell radiates. I will say, the smell is a bit clean for me, I don’t really get much of that smokiness and pineboard- it kinda gives Halloween store crossed with a gentrified spiritual shop, but that’s very easily fixed with some layering. Right now I like to layer with Kyphi from Olympic orchids, but I feel like it would pair better with a dirtier, soil scent, so I’m ordering samples of oxylus, fanghorn ii, and eldritch when I have the money- I really feel like they’ll go well together.

The opening of this perfume is absolutely potent... as soon as I spray it my room gets consumed with this smell of mushroom. My sister said she found the smell absolutely horrific and had to leave the room due to how strong it was. However, I find the dry down to be absolutely lovely. It's a lovely incense smell combined with the leather and cedar makes it perfect for the fall time. It smells very similar to the incense I burn in my bedroom, so being able to wear it as a perfume is great for me. While I can understand why it's too strong and strange smelling for most people I find it lovely.

Review is for post-summer 2023. Less mushroom, more incense & cedar. The notes don't lie, it smells overwhelmingly of smoke, incense, cedar, with the leather, rose, and mushroom-texture weaving throughout. Dark, brooding, deep, dry, but comforting if you're into that. Smells like an occult shop in a house that's been there for a couple hundred years. I've been looking forward to trying this one for a while, and I like it a lot more than even I thought I would. It's gorgeous. It's NOT blind buy safe, but an easy wear for the right kind of person. That right kind of person being me.

When its still wet on your hand its like the most concentrated thick smoke but while drying down the scent gets more leathery and that dry rose starts to come out, i love how oud is done there, very stinky animalic and pure but its brought down with dry rose, really beautiful blend, and it lasts whole day on skin and is hard to wash off cloathes. Ultra musculant colonge, super strong and long lasting, two sprays on your neck and one on wrist will last whole day, i soaked my denim jacket in this perfume and is just how it smells now. 10/10 Its such a heavy fregrence

I only tryed the sample, but im already an addict!! I just cant explain, but this perfume is other wordly. Like, never smellt any perfume like this before. It has such an unique and dark fragrance. It starts with really intense smell but then, it becomes much "calmer" and gloomy. It definitelly remind me of walking in a cemetery!! I sprayed some on my scarf and clothes, and after a couple of days, i still smelt that smokeyness of the perfume on them!! It became my signature scent for sure!!🎃🥀🖤

Funerie smells like a church residing deep in the forest that has been long since been abandoned, only for that church to the be set aflame on a crisp fall night, the scent of a burning building and the old incense left within it mingle with the scents of a deep, dark forest. It is comforting, it soothes the ache of relgious trauma with the image of it all being burned to nothing. 10/10 buy if burning a church would be cathartic to you.

Funerie is LOUD! on application and off of a tester paper. Give it a chance to dry down! I completely understand not liking it, but to me it’s sitting and filling your old leather bound journal long after your incense has burnt out. The earth, funk, and acrid smoke are intense at first but dry out to a balancing earthiness, at least for me. The sweetness is closer to tobacco than rose to my nose. Underrated and overhated!

reminds me of the woods of northern virginia in late summer and early autumn - rotting wood, distant decay, damp soil, and fungi. on my skin it starts off very woody, herbal, and a bit mushroomy. very cedar and pine forward at first. fades into a sweet, animalic, earthy decomp smell. i'm a total nerd about forensics and mortuary science, so i love this whole scent profile. so unique and definitely one of my faves.

This is deeply earthy (mushroom) and inky with hints of incense, resins, and smoldering wood which pulls you in at first and as it dried down and warms up on the skin there is slight floral and pipe tobacco sweetness mixed with the blood accord, oud, and resinous notes wafting around. Gives off mysterious/gothy vibe. I love this. I can see this being polarizing so get a sample first. Not a blind buy safe scent.

I’m in love with Funerie. The crazy reviews had me so scared, idk what yall are smelling but I’m getting a smoky leather and mushroom with sweet myrrh. Maybe a teensy bit of copper from the blood note, a bit of dustiness from the rose. It is indeed quite dark and gothic but it’s far more muted than I thought it would be. Would not recommend blind buying but it’s a beautiful fragrance

If you don't like tobacco or leather, you won't like this, but I adore this. Very smoky and masculine, though as a girl I love wearing this. Strong smoky and incense scent, and I actually do get the blood scent behind the top notes. My favorite Pineward fragrance so far. Does it smell like a funeral? Maybe not, but it is definitely a melancholic scent.

growing up in the northeast, specifically upstate ny, this smells exactly how a wet, fall or spring forest does, sharp pine note, and like wet moss and dirt, there is a small amount of mushroom which was off-putting but I'm glad they didn't overdo it.

This is THE perfume I've been searching for my whole life. It's deeply complex, rose weaving through smoke on a base of sophisticated oud and woods. It's incense dialed up to 11 with mushroom or leaf mould peeking in.

If you want to smell like you were in the forest playing with wolves, this is the scent for you. I’m just so sad mine leaked in a bag I had it in and I couldn’t wear it more than a couple times. :(

Funerie by Pineward is very unique. It ultimately opens with four bold scents that all grab your attention and develop throughout the entire experience. Wood Smoke Leather Metal or Iron Off the first spray it’s an incense/smoke forward scent but it’s not your typical smoke (as expected from niche fragrances like this). It opens with smelling like incense that has just recently burnt out, rather than one that’s currently burning. Instead of the warm and somewhat inviting smell u get from incense in most fragrances with that note, you’re instead greeted by this dark, loud and dry smell you get from a fresh put out incense stick, like the smell of a burnt out candle wick. Still pleasant, but ultimately very different. And it’s closely followed by a woody, pine or cedar scent, very traditional outdoors smelling but way stronger which seems to be a theme with Pineward. Like standing right in a Christmas Tree farm, or around some fresh cut cedar trees. As well as two other notes of leather, and iron/metal. When I say leather it’s not typically what you’d get, it has this strange shoe store leather smell almost, like a dirty leather jacket smell or leather adhesive that you’d find when working on leather clothing. And, it has this hot metal smell likely from the simulated “blood” note. After the first 20-30min it develops into Dead roses, or decaying flowers Dirt and Earth Mushrooms A musty/humid smell rain on dirt The fragrance begins to open up more with this almost creamy, sweet, and somewhat stinky smell which is comparable to the way rotting, decaying flowers and earth/wood smell. Comparable to when you flip a log over in the woods and can smell all of the dirt, the wet soil, the dry and the wet wood, the faint scent of mushrooms, the metallic and mineraly smell, all of it. This new unique earthy smell is accompanied by the aforementioned woods and the smoke, the leather, the metal, all of that now with this nice and somewhat stinky floral/earthy scent. Truly a divisive, and hard to describe fragrance. Likely only enjoyable for a specific audience. (Which would be me!) 8/10.

Starts off way too weird for me then after an hour gets boring and a simple smokey funky resin scent.... Not transportive to me at all just messy. Idk pineward might just not be for me. There’s a similar resin used in other scents that I do like though. But it’s like nothing of this brand ever wows me it’s just oh that’s interesting I guess.... But somethings off. Or missing. Or imbalanced. I bow out unfortunately Edit: going to bed now 8 hours after applying it and I actually really like it. I think I was just so disoriented by that opening I wanted to hate it lol. I still wouldn’t own this bc I think there are other earthy smoky scents that will suit me more out there. Bc I want a scent that clicks from beginning to end. But this gets really beautiful eventually. It’s just that beginning smells like fresh paint to me in a really old apartment you just moved into and it has no furniture yet so it’s this big echoing room that smells cold and it’s not been kept well leaving mold to take hold underneath the paint your landlord tried to hide it with. So I guess it was kinda transportive I have to admit. Lol. But the dry down does closely resemble other pineward scents I like but with a leathery metallic rose twist. I’ll wear this sample till the end I think just no full bottle

This opens with heavy leather enveloped in smoky incense and dried red roses. The roses definitely smell decayed in a weirdly intoxicating way. The mushroom note intrigued me and it was another weirdly intoxicating smell. It smells very earthy and dirty, like mushrooms growing out of a graveyard. This scent doesn’t smell like the color black, it smells a deep velvet red. Or maybe a smoky gray. You do get a mild amber aroma as it continues to develop but it gets cut into by a fresh pine needle greenness. It smells like the leaves on trees overlooking a funeral. The dry down introduces that rotting wood scent and again weirdly intoxicating, it’s brooding, dark, and very woody. I surprisingly enjoyed this because it was so interesting. I would never wear it but god was it addicting to smell. The more i smelled it the more i got out of it, and again would never wear it but it was such a weirdly enjoyable scent.

Vibe: Walking through a foggy forest covered in mossy hills and you're by yourself on a hike. Scent Notes: If you spray a lot of it at once you're going to get the leather note. It is loud too, so be warned, but otherwise it smells foggy which is no doubt the smoke and woody notes coming through. There's also a faint note of sweetness, might be the roses. Overall: I like it, it's definitely interesting but if I had known it has that drugstore sandalwood cologne smell I probably wouldn't have bought it. I love sandalwood, don't get me wrong but when you spend 20 USD on a big company's product ( 5ml ) you would expect something more unique. 7/10 for me

Oof, Just sample this and it smells a dead roses and rotting leaves, the smoke smell is super strong, Definetly not a wear to a office or a school, i would wear this on a cold day or a rainy walk in the forest, it kinda reminds me if i went to my Grandmas old house and went exploring in her garden, though i cant pick up the blood as im not too familiar with the smell of blood, if a this is the type of fragrance you would want, i say go buy it, its certainly an experiance, but hard to wear so i say 7/10

Smells like norlimbanol and decay. The opening is reminiscent of opening a leather trunk full of soil-- woody, heady, alive but impossibly dry. A subtle, saline animal funk appears quickly and hangs on for hours: I think this is what "oud" and "blood" are describing. Overall, Funerie is airless. It smells like you just got bad news and don't yet remember how to breathe. Very wearable provided the weather is cold and you're ruminating about something you can't possibly change.

Warm metallic. Fuzzy gray. Extremely moody.

Well, I was expecting much more from this perfume. I was looking for it everywhere on the internet and I couldn’t wait to get my package with it, but unfortunately it smells nothing like funeral, death or depression. This perfume stays the same on my skin during the day and it feels more like Christmas tree and maybe wet dirt. I’m a bit disappointed as I’m looking for a perfect truly dreadful funeral / death / decomposing body fragrance...

Personally not one i'd usually wear, since it doesn't fit my vibe, but it's still great! Very smoky at first, but it gentles down. I ran errands and went to bed, woke up the next day, and it's still there 16 hours later! It simmers down to a more leathery & mushroom smell, with something else is can't name. Definitely one of the most long-lasting perfumes i've ever seen! I can see how it is a bit controversial, though.

Smoky, earthy, deeply leathery. As my sister describes it - smells like the old men in motorbike gangs. Super realistic smoky leather, I also definitely get the mushroom and myrrh notes. It’s really strong and leans a little too masculine on myself, at least for my liking, which is a bit of a shame. Otherwise I think a lot of people will love this, it has a very metal, hardcore profile

If you've ever lived in a trailer park this may be a familiar scent to you. Grandma's place, wood paneling, mildew, thick faux mink blankets with images of deer in the snow slung over dusty floral couches from the 70s. Her perfume gives you a headache. You open the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom and are engulfed in a cloud of damp plywood and antiseptic. Everything is brown.

I have yet to wear this one out but on first sniff it is true to the description- it does smell like a dusty pinewood box in a forest clearing, covered in dried funeral flowers. My only complaint is that the dried flower notes are a bit too forward and the forest/earthy notes are a bit too distant for my taste.

Mushroom, blood and wood are definitely what comes out the most on me for this fragrance. It’s unsettling but not necessarily an unpleasant smell. I prefer fresh fragrances so it’s not really for me.

I dont hate this fragrance but oh my god its hard to stomache for me. Maybe i dont camp enough or maybe im not use to these smells. I wanted to love it but its so hard to keep smelling this

This legit smells like my grandma's ancient neosporin she keeps in her junk drawer.

It opens with a wonderful scent of burnt forest and dried flowers and dries down into a salaciously disgusting mushroom-blood smell and gave me a headache. Very high quality but this combination of notes is nauseating. I would describe the unfavorable aspect of this fragrance as snot-like. It is pungently sticky and kind of sweet in a bad way. The image it evokes is a rotting and decaying partially burnt forest and there is a pale and plump elderly woman sitting in her rocking chair on the porch of a rotting and decaying wooden 2-story house where she lives and this is how that house smells. I also think of frogs for some reason unfortunately. This fragrance is feminine to me. I'd imagine a pale and plump older woman who calls herself 'witchy' would purchase this and wear it to her office room where she resells pentagram necklaces from aliexpress on her etsy shop. Perhaps this would be attractive on a younger woman, a younger woman who is performing BDSM in the woods. I would love a Funerie that was just leather + dried rose + smoke. I would probably give it a 😍 but as it stands this gets a ☹️ but it isn't horrible enough to deserve a 😡. This fragrance is very long lasting. I did that thing men do where we use our teeth to scrape under our nails and immediately I could smell a faint, acrid remnant of Funerie that must have made its way into my hyponychium. This was about 24 hours after I had simply opened the sample vial to smell it again to make sure I actually didn't like it and wasn't being gaslit by the positive votes on here. This is the fourth time I have edited this review of Funerie by Pineward and it will not be the last. Edit #5: It's been a week and I can still smell it on the nail of my thumb

Ohhh I'm so sad actually :(. I really wanted to like this one, and I was looking forward to it, but when its sprayed on me, it smells like straight incense. Only incense. In matter of fact, I used to go to this one metaphysical store as a kid, and I remember it being sooo overwhelmingly filled with a incense smell. I loved that store because it had amazing crystals, but my god was it overwhelmed with incense. And this perfume smells exactly like that store. even more so, I tried it with some other friends, and on one of them, it turned oddly sour???? And on the other friend, it did turn more woody and the leather and tobacco notes came in a little more, but still I just couldn't handle the incense smell on either, though the latter friend likes the smell and how its overwhelmingly incense so its definitely for someone! If it is, good news, it does last a very long time! like almost the whole day! And you can smell it a bit far from the skin.

I really wanted to like it, but I don't think I can stand the heavy tobacco/smoke/leather. Not to mention that it is LOUD. It stunk up my office (where I opened the sample and proceeded to spray myself like an idiot). Clung to me for over 24 hours. Partner said I smelt like a greasy old man.

This smells like a grandmas funeral in an old, dark, church (incense and roses). I don’t get the smell of blood but, its still a creepy scent. The only time i could see anyone wearing this is Halloween, or a older witchy woman.

Instant headache. Just rub a mushroom on yourself, its cheaper.
