Gingermoss

I have been sampling a lot of perfumes from this house and really enjoying them. I love ginger and this perfume is a very bright and sparkly natural ginger fragrance. Basically, this smells just like ginger. It doesn't project much on my skin, but I love it anyway because it's so realistic. I have a bottle of Origins Ginger Essence and Gingermoss is way more effervescent and bright, yet full, where as the Origins Ginger is sweeter and lighter. I have layered them to good effect. Gingermoss has a delicate soft, earthy drydown due to the oakmoss and other notes and it still maintains it's spicy character from the ginger until the end; I love it!

Smells really good!! Is bright, sweet, orangy citrusy, neroli with the warm masculine woodsy, spicy, almondy, undertones. They're definitely undertones as all the other notes easily overlap it. They all mix beautifully but I see this as more of a womanly scent. I think a macho man's man would easily say this is for a female but I'd mix this with something else or even wear it on its own with a spritz of another cologne. I'm considering buying! This and maybe 6 others from the full Pineward sample kit with spring and summer and fall scents :)

This opens with a very strong neroli which I didn’t really enjoy unfortunately. The citrus does start to come after that though with a prominent sweet citrusy blood orange and a bright bergamot. The ginger is also here and adds an aromatic freshness. The woody accords are fairly undetectable but the leather is noticeable in the background more so as an added note for depth not really a main accord. I think this a pretty simple citrusy white floral, with a touch of ginger, it’s not my favorite but I can’t say I dislike it. I think if the citrus was more toned up, white florals toned down, and more noticeable woods I would definitely like this a lot more.

A nice, fresh, ginger fragrance with deeper woody notes. A little bit soapy as well. Very clean smelling. Edit: unfortunately after a while this one took on a weird musty character. I got this same effect from Meadowmoss and ultimately decided I didn’t like it.

To me its just neroli & citrus & ginger. some kind of light, plasticy woody base. Extremely safe, one dimensional freshie. Freshly grated lemons and ginger smell 10x better than this. When I smell this, I imagine scented hand wipes for some mid level car brand, a new ford/mazda might include branded disinfectant hand wipes in a new car that would smell like this. I just cant understand how it costs 140USD for 57ml.. if the perfumer was looking to use "sad but true: satire of the modern perfume industry" as inspiration for this perfume, he's hit the nail on the head here
