Wow love this. Good first impression! To be continued with more depth review shortly. Few days later: greatly disappointed by the longevity and Strength. Quite remarkably on the contrary to what you'd expect of an approx 30% concentration fragrance. Update: 12/13/2024. Just got a new sample of the new revised batch. So far so good and maybe even better. This kind of gives me vibes of Coastal veil which is my top favorite, followed by boreal and now I am going for a 3rd Pineward FB. If it was not for coastal veil in my property already I think Icefall would be the winner. I think the performance is better which is a positive welcome to this new batch.

Nice, this is pretty good. A nice opening of an icy cold morning, I think the green notes cause this fragrance to feel this way. The slight seaweed and citrus make it pretty unique and fresh. Very straightforward and wearable though. Nice and clean. Pretty solid! Longevity: 10-11hr Projection: Moderate (5-6ft) 8/10

Absolutely love this scent. Unfortunately, it does not last very long.

A cold spring morning hike on the northeast coast. Once you reach the edge of the trail the fierce wind slams into your chest as you take a deep breath in, the cold air mixing with the smell of the crashing waves below and the damp forest behind you. Life is good. A sharp grapefruit and juniper opening with an undeniable realistic ocean spray like accord. As it dries down the juniper joins the various other aromatic and woody notes, cedar and the iconic Pineward pine note as it partners up with the dark and brooding ocean note. Very nice. This is the freshest of the Pinewards I have tried by a far, it seems like their take on a blue fragrance, and it's very nice. Very realistic cold ocean smell mixed with a lot of icy cold woods. While I like this, I prefer something like "Oud Minerale" by Tom Ford because of how much smoother it is. Moderate projection with long lasting performance, but that's to be expected from Pineward. 7/10

It’s good. This smells like the north western coast on a cold day. Imagine standing on a rock beach in a forest in Washington and this is it. You can conceptualize the cold water, the tall trees and the wetness of the region all as you smell this. It’s very unique balance of woodiness and aquatic and this is cold in a bottle. It’s very wearable, but the aquatic-ness is so realistic it throws me off ever so slightly. Love smelling like woods, not so much cold seawater. Great fragrance all around though. 6/10

This is actually SO NICE. I am a grapefruit fan for sure. I would have never thought to pair it with seaweed. It perfectly brings out the vegetal elements of the seaweed, whereas other fragrances with seaweed tend to come off as fish-y. I've been wanting a marine scent but everything I've tried to far has smelled too beach-y/tropical or too "blue" like fake-blue-raspberry-kind-of cloying. The opening is actually giving cold, brisk and just downright refreshing.

This is a very fresh citrusy scent with a hint of marine accords. It opens with a very prominent grapefruit that’s juicy and fresh. Then you get some fresh green accords and a seaweed note that isn’t too salty or aquatic, it just adds a beachy feel to the scent. The dry down has a bit of woodiness and more of that green freshnes. It’s a very simple beachy sort of scent with a hint of citrus. I think this would be perfect for the summertime.

As you walk through the forest of acacia national park on the coast of Maine, you are hit with a chilly, woody, juniper breeze, from the waves hitting the sea wall. And as you trip onto the forest floor, you are smothered in the piney resin from the crushed pine cones beneath you. This is exactly what this fragrance smells like.

The initial spray threw me off - it was very very bitter like the skin of a grapefruit. But once it settled it turned into a fresh, light, windy cool summer breeze by a cloudy beach with pebbly rocks instead of sand. Yes the grapefruit is what you can smell the most. It’s nice, not bad at all. Kinda melancholic

My first sampling from Pineward. Beautiful cold smelling fragrance!! The juniper and grapefruit are very prevalent and this reminds me a little of penguin zoologist, better blended and smoother to me though! projection and longevity are all alright but i may have gone nose blind due to steading haha!

The initial spray is like a blast of cold winter air to the face. As it starts to dry down the grapefruit comes out a bit more, and after a bit it becomes a seaweed/marine scent similar to Acadian, but with the grapefruit hanging about. Definitely leans more masculine.

I was ready to get mad at this one. The first thing I thought when I put it on was "oh jesus it's pinesol" but rejoice! It dries down to a lovely foresty scent and leaves that semi-floor cleaner behind.

OKAY guys here me out.. This stuff smells very close to Lemon Slush or Lemon Italian Ice.. I LOVE THIS STUFF

its a nice smell, nothing special or memorable about it kinda colognly;basic

Despite the fact that on paper and on clothes it's a lovely (more masculine) crisp, cold juniper and cedar thrill, on my skin it's very intimate and disappears completely after 3 hours:( It's such a shame though, if it had better performance, I would have bought a full bottle..

Absolute garbage. WHY would anyone want to ever wear this?

This fragrance starts off so citrusy plus the smell of pine needles but this fades rather quickly (like within the first 30-60 minutes). Afterwards it stays smelling like a cedar trunk. On a test strip it was a bit overpowering like I was trapped in that cedar trunk. However, on my skin, it becomes so much more pleasant I was glad I did a test. While not my pine needle holy grail, it was one of the few wood scents that while it smells of lumber to me (rather than a tree) I don't mind wearing it. And layering it under something (such as Snoqualmie) feels like the way to go as after the initial dry down it is linear... though I mean that in a way that should be read as dependable (not boring).

This is what i want my masc partner to smell like! It’s a refreshing pine-y aquatic with a high quality-smelling sandalwood base. Doesn’t quite fit on my skin (especially in the opening of the fragrance), but I find it to be soothing and nostalgic in a masculine-leaning gender neutral way. Classic, classy. The opening smelling like grapefruit and licorice, but very fresh (so fresh it’s pungent) and green like a broken leaf. Then it turns a little skanky/dare-i-say chocolatey, but still refreshing & bright green fir tips smell, and then it mellows out pleasantly to a simple sandalwood + kind of scent.

I definitely get grapefruit and cedar wood but not sparkly or brightly crisp like I expected. It dries rapidly to a musky leathery wood undertone that is nothing like the description. It's almost English Leather on me, a very masculine vintage leather cologne scent. I really thought it would be much crisper and colder by the notes. That being said, this will work great for someone else, I think. Just not my thing.

Absolutely no idea what the person two comments below is smoking. This is not "gender neutral", it's 100% male. It doesn't have any licorice. It's not pungent. It's not "leafy". It's not "skanky". And it is definitely not chocolatey. Some people are downright desperate to sound quirky, as if that would make them more interesting. It doesn't.

This is high school winter in a bottle. It reminds me of a youthful winter. There is green and there is ice. It is a little sharp and unrefined and stings the nose. Overall it's like kind of a liquefied chewing gum that smells fresh.
