Meadowmoss

Fresh from an exhausting day of hiking in the mountains, you descend into a vast garden, gently lit by the glow of the moon. The sky is clear, and the meadow’s exhalations cradle you like an airborne infusion: hay, alpine flowers, damp earth. Meadowmoss is a quiet, tender botanical idyll. Perfectly calming and unisex.

When I was young I used to take a ferry to a summer camp on an island. The island probably wasn't bigger than a few football fields, and it was decorated with just a few rotting colonial buildings and a swampy saltwater pool. The other thing about the island was that it was completely infested with Canadian geese. The geese mostly minded their business, except for the fact that they shit all over the place. You couldn't walk two paces without dodging goose-shit land mines. When we got home, we would use the 'jet' setting on the hose to power wash the shit off the bottoms of our shoes. I hadn't thought much about the camp in a few years, but Meadowmoss is a snapshot of that island. The grassy greens mingle with the indolic white flower for a truly photorealistic note of goose shit. The orange blossom smells like sunscreen. It's vegetation and rotting wood and sea air and sweaty life jackets and sunscreen and goose shit. I quite like it.

It seems this scent is pretty decisive. For me, I mainly get tomato leaf in the opening, smells exactly like my dads tomato garden. After it drys down i get the orange blossom for sure and its still mixing with the tomato leaf thats now more toned down and grassy smelling. Im not getting the odd notes of piss or really anything funky at all. It just smells green and fresh. I'd say its a 6.5/10 but not full bottle worthy in my opinion, definitely not blind buy safe at all nor is anything from this house. Their decants come with some neat presentation so if you want to try, buy some decants. That way if you dont like the scents, you get a cool sticker and a neat little bag as well.

At first it smells like cleaner mixed with hay, which quickly gives way to a piss-and-hay smell. After 30 minutes or so, the piss smells leaves (thankfully) and I'm left with a lovely alfalfa with hints of apples and honey and wildflowers. When I was a child, I lived in the valley of a mountain. At night, the smell of the wheat and alfalfa fields mixed with the wind rolling down the mountain and landed in my front yard. This perfume smells like those fields. As the perfume settles, the complexity reveals itself - I want to keep smelling my wrist to see what else I'll notice. The sillage is fairly weak and so is the longevity. After 4-6 hours, just hints are left on my skin.

I got this as part of a pineward sample pack. The oakmoss and grass notes seem to be top notes, as this very quickly turned into kind of one dimensional floral drydown. Not afraid of a more feminine leaning scent but it wasn't the moss forward scent I was going for. Florals were well done though, might be a great for someone looking for a subtly feminine scent. Overall 5/10 Stillage (scents are quiet on me) - 5/10 Longevity 4ish hours.

The tomato leaf comes immediately but soon dissipates. Tomato leaf is why I am here but honestly I am so surprised and pleased by this fragrance. It smells like a meadow but it's also soapy and clean feeling. My nose is quite literally glued to my arm and I have to stop sniffing to type on my computer lol. It's a winner for me.

Very floral, but very much a grassy, weedy, natural wildflower, no store bought bouquets full of pesticides here. A bit indolic from the orange blossom maybe. I don’t get very much of the moss though. I’m not someone who wears florals a lot but I still think it’s very beautiful

True to it's description. For me it opens with notes of orange and tomato leaf. As it dries down, it evokes the atmosphere of a windy meadow up in the mountains filled with wildflowers. Very intimate though, but maybe that's a skin chemistry issue. It's a must try! <3 7/10

A very nice green scent with hints of floral and something sweet in the air at first spray. But then when it dries down I almost get a hint of something smokey in there as well. On my skin this would be a good cold weather wear over a hot/warm day.

Mostly white florals to my nose, and more feminine. Performance is nuclear. At least in longevity. Could smell it on my partner after a full work day and a shower.

This one opens with a very prominent tomato leaf note and it’s such a fun and enjoyable scent. I used to have tend to my schools tomato garden when I was younger and it’s such a nostalgic smell for me. It’s green, vegetal , and freshly sweet. As the scent develops you start to get more floral accords. You get very heavy wildflowers with a strong orange blossom note. It literally smells like a very lush meadow of flowers. You get some of the oakmoss too and it’s earthy, slightly dirty even but it grounds the scent more. I will say this one was a little too floral for my liking but I think anyone looking for a strong natural smelling floral fragrance would love this. It smells like like a field of flowers with the grass included.

I could not imagine a more perfect scent for spring and summer. Very upfront on the tomato leaf, but as it dries down the florals become more prevalent. Feels like working out in a big garden in late spring when the weather is pleasantly warm before getting too hot. There’s also an undercurrent of fresh laundry for me. Edit: unfortunately after some rest I had to downgrade this one to “meh”. Some sort of...muskiness?...came out that made the fragrance smell like a sweaty cologne covered teenager to me.

starting to come to terms with the fact that i don’t like most white florals. the orange blossom to me is the star of the show. i wished the tomato leaf came out more but instead i smell like my grandma if she was more holistic and liked gardening

This is absolutely beautiful. It truly encapsulates a meadow full of flowers. Very realistic florals here. I'd feel too feminine wearing it unfortunately but man do I appreciate how lovely it is. My favorite floral is still Astier de Villatte's Grand Chalet, but this is a close second. Very nice stuff.

I primarily smell orange blossom, oakmoss, and grass. The tomato leaf is not the star of the show and I’m confused why y’all voted it so... It’s very classic smelling! Not sure if it’s a chypre or fougere... Both? Very vintage smelling, and very good.

I am searching for a realistic tomato leaf scent and Meadowmoss started with promise. I think the orange blossom came through and now I get an herby suntan note with indolic florals. Excited to try on skin to see how this wears.

it smells like a dry field and sunshine. Little sweet, mostly grassy. There is a floral-ness when it drys down, mixed with the grassy-ness. Smells like grass stains and sunscreen. Very nice.
