White Fir

Fresh gingery orange served on a branch of fir and with hints of clove. To me this is purely a winter freshie - I can only wear it on days when the outside temperature drops below freezing and when the humidity indoors is very low. Otherwise, it's like being in the room when someone just peeled an orange and sharp citrus suddenly pierces through the air, just that in this case it lingers for much longer. Wear it when going cross-country skiing or after a few rounds of sauna and ice bathing. If it smells too sharp for you on the skin, it smells wonderful on thick wool clothing (beware of the dark green stains, though).

Pineward has reformulated White Fir for 2025, and it is absolutely stunning! It is now one of the best fir needle resin forward perfumes I have ever smelled! I love it with a huge love and need to update and get the new bottle as I absolutely love it. While I enjoyed the original perfume, this new version is far superior, IMO. My only nit pick would be that I can't smell it as strongly after the intoxicating and beautiful opening, but others can still smell it on me, so perhaps it's just anosmia on my part. This is a huge step up for me on this perfume. Highest recommendation if you love coniferous perfumes!

This is Christmas and the holidays. Wearing this from November to end of January is *chef’s kiss*. It’s big. It’s linear. It lasts and lasts. You don’t need a ton of sprays to enjoy. It will get compliments. You won’t be mad at any portion of the experience of this fragrance if you understand what you’re getting. It’s zingy orange and a fresh and dense pine. There’s spice to the orange that elevates the whole experience. Just buy some already.

another sample from the forest collection today, it was a cold, cloudy, and crisp kind of day so I thought I throw this on. and boom! citrus bombshell!!!!!/ however not in a bad way; there was also the smell of a Christmas tree as well as the citrus definitely one of the best from this collection, probably going just under coastal veil. I would even consider this one of my future summer fragrances 9/10

this is a very fresh and coniferous fir and pine scent with the brightest and juiciest orange note! it smells like orange slices vs the whole orange, but it’s juicy, bright, fresh and uplifting. The ginger adds a fresh spiciness in addition to the cloves, with a hint of the anise. This is fresh, fun, only slightly sweet, and verryyy green, I love this one!

This scent is so bright and energizing! Very heavy on the citrus and fir/pine, which reminds me of the holidays. I think to people who haven't actually spent time in the woods this could possibly smell like a floor cleaner, but to me this smells like eating an orange on a cool winter walk through nature.

Cloth: nice! Sweet fresh pine, cool but not minty. Skin: not quite as sweet but still nice. Outdoorsy fresh. Cool but not cold. I like it. (The note pyramid says the fresh citrus is orange. I got another xmas orange! I must have been really really good! )

I really enjoyed this one and I would recommend trying this one out. The notes are really bright fruity mixed with wood and it's rather pleasant overall.

A creamy fir. Never thought a pine could be smooth and almost milky. And yet here it is. In my mind I vividly see this fresh cut fir, fluffy, soft, yellow tipped and it’s topped with a cream and citrus foam like snow. This alarms me and doesn’t make any sense but the more I smell White Fir the more this visage haunts me. It’s oddly edible. Juicy orange, a sprinkle of spice, and I believe that musk is reading more lactonic for me. The pine, ginger, spice pot combo feels like Christmas inside a stuffy, warm lit cabin. But too damn hot outside to be cozy. There is a lot of warmth here. The final lasting note is faint and well blended. It leans a touch soapy but manages to avoid the (almost inevitable) oily pinesol death granted to those brave enough to venture into citrusy/pine forward world. Really fun and interesting. Could be a late autumn, green christmas wear.

Pine, clove, ginger and balsamic fir bomb, the citrus gives it a tea like odor but it's so delicious at the same time. Holy projection and strength this is so crazy it almost gave me an acid reflux. This is the strongest and potentially offensive tea scent and it's so unique. It's also the first masc leaning tea fragrance I have ever come across. Regardless, I kind of like it but please use with lotion.

I go back and forth on this one. I like the smell but it also reminds me too much of orange pledge cleaning spray. Good projection and decent longevity but I don't know that I would wear this outside of the Christmas season. And I think that Pineward has better Christmas fragrances that work better for that time of year anyway. Definitely masculine leaning.

pine tree but festive! it has some warm, comforting, and fruity notes that other ones from pineward don't have. one of my favorites from pineward to be honest, 9/10. just can't wear it because it doesn't suit my ultra-feminine taste. would totally gift this to a man-friend once the weather gets colder

Pretty simple scent, doesn't progress much. Amazing winter time scent, leans very masculine but I like that. Lack of versatility and depth make it not worth the steep price in my opinion, but it's great otherwise.

Smells like drinking mulled wine around a Christmas tree. The orange and spice comes through on me most, with a bit of fir. It’s a lovely fragrance - I would probably personally mostly wear it at Christmas time.

I love this scent. The smell is amazing.....it really is the smell of Christmas. However, the sillage and longevity are woeful. That aspect makes this a "like" instead of a "love" from me.

This is some dark stuff. Extremely lush and natural pine/fir fragrance with some citrus facets.

As someone who absolutely ADORES coniferous notes in perfume, especially when handled with care and finesse, White Fir to me, while smelling quite lovely, reminds me far too much of the smell of a high quality Fir-scented candle that one could purchase from say, L.L. Bean. It just doesn't translate to perfume to me. It translates to "this would be quite a pleasure to burn from a wick in my den on a cold winter night." Its lacking the grit and naturalist contrast that something like Fille en Aiguilles, Arso, or Burvuvu embodies. The clove and orange contained herein does remind me of SL's Des Clous Pour Une Pelure, but where that has a certain elegance, here it feels a bit disjointed, becoming especially awkward about ten minutes in. To be clear, it's not bad, it just doesn't feel *right* as something to perfume one's skin. I do, however, admire the effort.

This was very heavy on the orange and ginger on me. Neared citrus cleaner territory at some points. I did sample this in pretty cold weather, so it might benefit from being sampled on a warmer day.

I like this, but its not something i'd wear really. maybe at christmas time. maybe. to me it smells like straight up pine and orange, kind of like a cleaning product.
