Black Musk

WoW ! I really like this. It's not your usual black musk. Smells high quality and there are many more notes than listed here on fragrantica... It's quite hypnotic, but hard to describe. Rich, smooth, sophisticated. Not a heavy musk, rather clean. A bit like Molinard Musk which is excellent. I have had many compliments so far.

Review of Pino Silvestre BLACK FOREST, Not Yet in Database (FRAGRANTICA TEAM PLEASE ADD IT!!) Black Forest comes in a bottle identical to the one on this page. I don't know how Black Musk smells so hard to say if Black Forest is a reissue of that one, but to my nose it smells strikingly similar to Green Generation Him from 1998, which coincidentally also came in an opaque black pine cone. On the strips, Green Generation Him smells more watery-herbal and somewhat related to Eternity for Men, while Black Forest is significantly sweeter with an intense orange rind/orange blossom accord and a heavier profile overall. Looking at the materials list on the back of the box, Black Forest contains real citrus oils, real peppermint oil, menthol, and a few other natural oils, so surprisingly not the most synthetic formula out there. On skin the similarities to Green Generation are more apparent, as the herbal qualities of Black Forest emerge more clearly. I don't know, it's possible that Black Forest is a sweeter and more contemporary reissue of Green Generation Him. There's zero available info on it, so the only way to find out is to buy a bottle and smell for yourself. Personally, I like the 1998 fragrance a little more, but will continue playing with Black Forest to see what else it shows me.
