Sun Saint

This scent is gorgeous and lasts for ages! I don't get the negative reviews, it lasts well over 12 hours on me. To me Sun Saint is mostly lime, some salt and a slightly powdery sandalwood with a dash of coconut and cashmere. A woody lime scent. It is bright, not overly sweet and sophisticated. It is different then all the other overly coconut cliche summer perfumes out there. I had the .25 n oz roller ball and longevity was great. I got the 1oz bottle after using that up and longevity is the same. Being it is a clean fragrance, perhaps the longevity lessens with time due to no preservatives and other chemicals. So maybe these reviews are from old stock, that has not been stored properly. I am hard to impress, I prefer sillage and longevity beasts from the likes of Mugler and Kerosene. Sun Saint lives up to my expectations. I sprayed some on yesterday at 4:30pm and I can still smell it the crook of my elbow at 8:30 am, 16 hours later!

This is a wonderful summer/beach fragrance that has a complexity to it that most other scents like this just never achieve. Let me tell you what it ISN'T: it is not a coconut bomb, it does not smell like suntan lotion, you will not feel like a fruity umbrella drink, and you will not get tired of it after a full day's wear. The notes dance around each other throughout each hour of wear, and as is apparently very typical with Pinrose, it settles into the skin quickly and becomes more blended with one's skin chemistry. The lime balances out the coconut, and the effect definitely puts you in the mind of a tropical vacation but in a subtle and sophisticated way. I am rarely impressed by fragrances like this and I absolutely love this one. UPDATE: this totally works layered with Lil Dipper. The combo creates an AMAZING summer fragrance.

This is one of my favorite perfumes of all time. I could drown in this scent and die happy. It lasts all day on my skin. Opens with fresh squeezed lime, eucalyptus and fresh coconut in the background, and dries down with salt, sandalwood, and sand. It is the scent of walking on the Atlantic beach, salty air in your hair, sand under your feet, lime Italian ice in hand. Your clothes smell like eucalyptus from the shower you just took and you sit on a big piece of sun-bleached driftwood while the sun shines on you. It's not a chemical floral/coconut sunscreen scent, it's not sweet or cloying, it's not too masculine or too feminine. The lime is fresh and sharp, the coconut is fresh, the salt is zingy. If I could only wear one fragrance for the rest of my life it would be this!

If you’re looking for a coconutty, sweet scent- this is not for you! Let me paint you a picture. You’re on the beach under the hot sun, drinking a corona while wearing your boyfriend’s tshirt. That’s what this smells like. Sexy. Salty. Lime-y, and a slight coconut base to bring it all together.

This is the epitome of summer to me. Absolutely wonderful scent of bright coconut and lime and salt. Unfortunately, it disappears as quickly as you put it on and I was so disappointing. Had to return. On the hunt for a dupe!

Smooth dry coconut sandalwood drizzled with zesty lime, violets drops, salty air & hints of eucalyptus. Smells so good in the summer heat. Very long lasting. Tropics type summer scent. It's nice!

For a coconut summer fragrance, this is unique. It has notes in combinations that at first remind me of other fragrances, but then it morphs into different scents. First spray and first hour or so, I was reminded of Book from Commodity and Santal Rose from Tom Ford. I wasn't getting much coconut or sea salt or anything else but sandalwood. I'm not complaining because I love sandalwood, but I didn't get the summer vibe at all, and I wasn't feeling that it was "sunny". However, after the somewhat heavy wood start, things got interesting. As the drydown really took effect, I caught tangy little lime breezes, a waxy but delicate coconut, and a salty woodsy effect. Not once did I think it smelled like Coconut Lime Verbena, and I haven't really sniffed anything quite like it. I tend to get migraines with heavier scents, and this starts off pretty rich and woodsy, but the end result is unique and summery and pretty. Pinrose definitely has a winner here. I only have a rollerball sample of it, but after I get my Tambourine Dreamer and Pillowtalk Poet, I plan on this fragrance full size as well.

They put the lime in the coconut and shook it all up: spent some time at Sephora sampling the Pinrose line and the woman helping me gave me a batch of towelette samples to try (a first), and ended up buying this one before I left the store. I don't think it's incredibly unique and it's not a projection monster, but that's a good attribute for a summer scent. Opening features a strong, salty lime accord before turning to the sandalwood drydown. I think I'm picking up coconut and eucalyptus but it's not overpowering, nothing like suntan lotion or sugary summer cocktails as others have noted. The composition stays natural from beginning to end. Edit: I ended up returning this as I found it lasted less than an hour, though longer than any of the others from this line. It turns to a skin scent too fast. I have a feeling that in a few years you'll find bottles of this brand in the bargain bins at TJ Max.

At first this scent is very reminiscent of Atelier Cologne's "Pacific Lime," but the similarity begins to dissipate after about half an hour - at least, on my skin. I say this because PL was eucalyptus-heavy on me and the coconut was nowhere to be found, whereas in "Sun Saint" I don't get a whiff of eucalyptus but the coconut is the *star*! (Followed by salt, lime, and sandalwood at the end; salt and sandalwood are not present in PL.) This is actually the first time I've ever liked salt in a perfume. I can also say that, of the two beachy scents, "Sun Saint" outstrips "Pacific Lime" in terms of longevity (both are skin scents). Of the two, this is the one I'd purchase.

I bought this for cheap on IPSY and only got it because I was looking for a coconut scent that wasn’t your typical sweet, sun tan lotion fragrance. It is defiantly a drier, woodier, citrusy coconut which was exactly what I wanted so that was great. However, I can’t get over how poor the longevity is. I think this would’ve been really really good if it just stayed on my skin for longer. Even with well moisturized skin it maybe lasts an hour or two. I think if you are on the hunt for this kind of coconut and you can find it for cheap, go for it. Just make sure you’re okay with reapplying :).

This is the perfume (really, skin scent) version of a coconut mojito. I wear this when I want to close my eyes at work and pretend I'm on vacation sitting on a beach with a light, refreshing cocktail in my hand. Sadly, it has NO longevity and zero projection. If I want to keep the summer getaway fantasy going, I need to reapply hourly. Like so many other Pinrose fragrances, this is pretty linear - lime and rum and a touch of coconut mixed with a hefty dose of bubbly sunlight - entirely pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable!

Sun Saint is a fun fragrance. I have the scented candle and love how it cheers up a room. When I saw a bottle of the perfume on clearance I couldn't resist. Sun Saint is a natural smelling blend of lime and coconut with a bit of warm woods. Not too sweet - really nice. Good thing the perfume was a bargain price, because I got maybe an hour to enjoy it before it disappeared. I highly recommend the candle version though.

I like to use Bondi Sands dry oil self tanner and sometimes lean hard into that scent by using this coconut suntan smelling perfume. I don't pick up any of the same kind of strong juicy tart lime that BBW's Coconut Lime Verbena had which is why I initially purchased. This salty summer beachy scent is still worth owning even if it's not the dupe it's claimed to be.

Delicious coconut mojito. I get the lime and the salt and the coconut and mmmmmm I love it! Unfortunately it fades into a skin scent and all but disappears rather quickly so a lot of reapplying is needed. I think this one is full bottle worthy if you don't mind reapplying.

I tried this from one of their fragrance wipes so there's a chance the actual perfume might be slightly different. However, the coconut was soooo synthetic. Similar to BBW coconut body sprays. I love the citrus opening with the salt and the sandalwood dry down. I love how this isn't super sweet and how it's very airy. But the synthetic coconut ruins it for me. It kinda smells like that coconut in cheaper candles. Edit: the coconut fades VERY fast into a sandalwood skin scent. You can get the same affect using Clean Reserve Solar Bloom or even JHAG Sunny Side Up. Both of which I don't think have the best longevity but definitely better than this. Overall this is a pass for me.

This is pleasant, mostly a rounded blend of soft coconut, clean musk, and sandalwood, with subtle citrus notes. A little soapy, a little sunscreeny. It seems like a crowd-pleaser, a bit generic, but nothing harsh or unpleasant. If I already owned a bottle, I might wear it lightly in the summer. But I won't be purchasing a full bottle.

Light and airy, easygoing fragrance. The name is fitting, nice and sunny. It does not smell like obvious suntan lotion, but there are hints of it. It does fade very quickly on me - within 20 minutes, it seems to be gone

Nice citrus coconut scent, I don’t usually like coconut but this one is a better one, I think the other notes balance it out well

I was hoping this would be *the* summer suntan lotion scent for me, but unfortunately it isn’t. I’ve been searching for something like Soleil Blanc/Beach Walk/BB Beach that would actually last and make me smell like the beach/sunscreen to people besides myself for more than an hour or two. I was also hoping not to spend $100+ on a bottle, but am willing to splurge on the right scent, especially if it performs well. This didn’t do the trick. It seems like a dupe of Eau de Soleil Blanc (the EDT, which lasts 2hrs max on my skin, though usually only an hour) except Sun Saint lacks a lot of the magical sparkly citrus and fresh florals of Eau de Soleil Blanc, and has nearly vanished from my skin even though I applied it 30 minutes ago. Glad I only ordered the mini. I’m sure I’ll use it all up in a single day. Overall the scent is nice but rather boring. If MMM/Tom Ford make the “expensive sunscreen,” this is the drugstore generic. It is a lot like BBW coconut lime verbena, but a bit warmer and more sunscreen-like. Virgin Island Water to me smells closer to Coconut Lime Verbena than this, but Sun Saint hits some of the same notes. I’d say sun saint performs like a BBW body spray and doesn’t last. I need something a lot stronger than this. 1 hour after applying-I need to sniff my skin directly and heavily to detect anything, and I can barely register what I’m smelling anymore. It just sort of smells like I washed my hands with scented soap.

Horrible quality, it faded to nothing in less than two hours. The scent is woody-tropical, I picked up some lime, orange, and coconut while I still could smell it, with a hot and salty vibe to it. I may try this again in summer to see if it's better. I didn't dislike the smell, though I didn't love it, but it faded so fast it's definitely not one I would recommend.

I don't hate this, but I don't love it, either. It goes on well, and has a sunny quality to it (go figure, what with the name), but then fades quickly into straight Dial-soap sandalwood, which lasts much longer than the rest of it. Destashing.

Reminds me of Sunny Side Up by JHAG. I sampled this with one of their towelettes. Faint sandalwood and coconut scent that seems to fade rapidly. Sits very close to skin, zero projection. Doesn't last either.

This is so nauseating and not the dupe for any of the high-quality beachy white florals you think it is.

Based on the petal sampler, this smells like lemon-lime sweat. Wash-off.

Sexy, nonchalant, and unisex. It gives me a similar impression to Santal 33 but less woody and more tropical. The coconut is dry and combines with the lime to give it a cozy zestiness that is not sweet or overpowering at all. Smells clean with a twist. I'd want to smell just like this if I was stranded on a deserted island with a hottie (or maybe just a nice beach resort ;). You could wear it any time of the year in my opinion because even though it's tropical, it's not verging onto sunscreen territory at all. It's not cloying and warm, but it's also not sharp and cold. I don't love Santal 33 dupes/impressions, but this fragrance is a keeper.

Holy moly, this is super underrated! I love this! Fantastic summer coconutty-solar type scent. Based on the notes, I thought this would be more citrus-forward, but it's not a sharp perfume. It's a lot smoother and better blended than I anticipated. The coconut, sandalwood, musk, and violet notes are the most prominent to my nose. I do smell the lime and the mandarin orange, but it's almost like the their juicy acidity is removed, and you only get the zest. The violet becomes very pronounced in the dry own. Fantastic summer scent. Sillage and longevity are not the best, but not the worst either.

After using up an entire travel spray I feel confident in reviewing this. I looove this scent- and wore it all over Europe for a summer vacation. It has an intoxicating acidic muskiness to it. I used to be infatuated with a roommates Le Labo perfume (Santal 33 of course) which could be a distant relative to Sun Saint. Bummed that I can't wear it all seasons but I will definitely be getting a full sized for next summer. Definitely an energizing scent, but sillage is a bit lacking, maybe 5 hours tops. For those who don't entirely like coconut it's understated and takes a backseat to the citrus.

Coconut, sweet lime, and woody, powdery notes. Very simple perfume, not a mishmash of a bunch of notes. It smells so fresh but soft, comforting and cozy too. It's like a cold night at the beach wearing a soft cozy hoodie. I don't think it has a hot, suntan, sitting in the sun vibe, more of a being cozy while it's cold in a tropical place vibe if that makes sense lol. It reminds me so much of Bath and Body Works and their (discontinued?) scent Coconut Lime Verbena!!

I get prominent lime and then coconut note that its sweet but not cloying. Actually it did remind me of Coconut Lime Verbena, but Pinrose is bit sweeter, better blended and more sophisticated. Perhaps its that woodsy mid note that make it more adult and not cheap smelling. I like it actually. I will have to get a sample to try because I tried to get one today and Sephora salesperson made me a sample that had literally two sprays in it:/

This is a unique summer scent - it’s not the traditional sunscreen scent however it’s very easy to wear. It feels like a effortless luxury vacation scent. I have a rollerball i got in a pinrose sample kit and i was able to decant it to a atomizer - i will randomly crave this scent which says a lot because i tend to be drawn to heavier scents. Definitely worth a try!

Opens with a lot of lime, then moves into a woody green coconut in the vein of Heeley Coccobello or Good Chemistry Wild Child. This disappears very quickly so if you want to wear it all day you will need to plan on reapplying.

I loooove this fragrance. It has a coconut scent mixed with citrus. It’s clean and beachy. Summertime in a bottle. Unfortunately, the longevity and the sillage are very weak, and too pricey for the weak quality.
