Wild Child

I am smiling at the other perfume lover who mentioned Enya's "Wild Child"-- this song plays in my head whenever I spray the perfume! I love this one. I went for maybe 8 years without using perfume or scented body products at all, only essential oils or unscented products. I LOVE beautiful scents, and have an extensive essential oil collection, but am very sensitive to synthetic smells and even perfumes that I enjoyed the smell of, I couldn't wear... they made my nose hurt. I'm just starting to dip my toes into the perfume world again, and I'm so glad I found Pinrose! Their scents smell high-end but do not give me any headaches or oversensitivity issues. This reminds me a bit of my old DKNY green apple scent, though it's been a while since I've smelled that. My husband, who doesn't like strong perfume-y smells either, likes this one. He didn't think I had been wearing perfume, but when I gave him the bottle, said "oh yes, I've smelled this on you!" So from that I get that it's noticeable but not obnoxious, which is just what I want. I do NOT like high-sillage perfumes, so if you do, this may not be for you. I'm working on my nose ;) but so far all I can say is that this is just a lovely, romantic, totally girly floral. I definitely smell tropical flowers but no fruit-- not a pina colada scent. For me this is a fun, date-night scent (not what everyone would wear for evening but I like it), whereas for daytime I like the gentler Tambourine Dreamer or Clinique Happy Heart.

This is an excellent fresh, floral selection. Between the freesia, tiare, and bergamot, there’s a slight bit of sharpness in the top notes. Not enough to make it unpleasant, but just to add a bit of depth. As with most Pinrose fragrances, it smells very clean. (By that, I mean clean ingredients, not necessarily ozonic or soapy.) I wish it lasted longer and projected more. During the day, I found myself having to refresh after only 3 or 4 hours, but it does make a nice bed scent. I have a feeling it may be on its way out the door because I got a purse size for only $16 at Sephora.

a nice bar-soapy white floral that has a soft smooth feel rather than being screechy. also to my pleasure very natural smelling; like a crisp fresh flower bouquet. really lovely on a spring day

Between the Tiare Flower and the Frangipani, I smelled the lei's that Hawaii'n Airlines hangs over your neck as you disembark in Kauai. Lovely.

The name of the game with Pinrose is - "FRESH". So far, they've all had a really pretty, fresh easy going and natural smelling cleanness about them all. This one also opens in a lovely burst of citrus, I'm surprised people haven't rated the bergamot higher, because it is fairly strong to my nose. It has a certain sweetness about it too though, almost as if the bergamot is mixed with sweet orange or something. I know this says it contains tiare and frangipani, but all I really smell is jasmine and gardenia. I had some hopes that it would be a little more exotic, but it just retains a very clean, very pretty white floral profile. The vanilla is truly a background player, and takes it's time to emerge. In all honesty, I'm happy about that (not that I don't love vanilla), because so many other perfumes lately are super vanillic, it's nice to experience something that utilizes vanilla in a much lighter fashion. Yet, for all of the notes it purportedly contains and I don't smell, I do like what is here quite a lot! It's fairly basic, but actually smells a lot fresher, more uplifting, and not exactly like most designer fragrances lately. You'd think bergamot + jasmine + gardenia would smell ridiculously familiar, but this somehow doesn't smell exactly like anything I've worn before, I think because it truly is of cleaner ingredients. Yet, it isn't necessarily super memorable, it's a perfume that's easy to wear and easy to understand. Longevity is fairly poor.

I filled in that this fragrance reminded me of Curve, but I want to clarify and say it reminds me of Curve before they changed the formulation and ended up making it smell like stale beer. This is soft, sweet, and feminine. I get a definite powdery note on top, but it's not a sickening powder, just gentle and innocent. Halfway through the unfortunately short lasting experience, I started to pick up more on the gardenia, and although it wasn't my favorite gardenia (a bit less creamy and natural smelling than I like), it wasn't terrible. Every now and then, I caught the plumeria, and the leftover scent is a feather soft jasmine. Although I feel that WildChild is very pretty, I don't know that I feel it is suitable for me, as I'm almost 40, and it feels a bit youngish. And not very wild, I must say.

I found this for a good price in Marshall’s , so I took another blind buy since I have never had anything from Primrose . The bottle is cilindrical , not pretty pink like the picture here, although the box is pink and white. The scent is cold, sparkly , vibrant , mostly Honeysuckle , but there are other white florals in the mix . The development is minimal, the silage is rather strong in the beginning but short lived. it’s not better nor worse than other perfumes in the same genre. I like it that is smells happy and full of youthful energy even though white flowers usually go,with maturity and elegance. it’s wearable and beautiful for any age, especially if you like and cannot afford Chevrefeuille from AG, or Honeysuckle from Aerin, etc, this is an affordable and very decent version .

Not sure if earlier reviewers understand what a wild child is. It's someone who is carefree, innocent, and uninhibited. Maybe a little loopy. They act as though they were raised with little parental supervision, perhaps by hippie types. Often found in nature, with flowers in their hair. I think that the name suits the fragrance well. It's innocent, but with a subtle sexiness, the kind an uncorrupted type would show without cunning or calculation. White flowers have that effect, but these are airy, not stuffy. Anyone with a relaxed and easy air about them could pull this off, young or old.

I'm coming to the realization that on my skin, frangipani does Very Bad Things. I'm starting to think I can't wear tiare flower, either. Normally I love gardenia, but I can't pick it out in this fragrance (or any jasmine) over the frangipani bomb. It does smell better on my daughter, so clearly it's a chemistry issue. But this is a Dislike for me. UPDATE: I bought a Pinrose sample set, with sprays instead of rollerballs this time. For some reason, I actually like the Wild Child in spray form. (Maybe it's because it's from a different batch, so it has a different mixture of notes?)

I received a full bottle in this months Ipsy Glam Bag X (May 2022) This isn’t really a “high end” fragrance but for an everyday easy (Spring/Summer) daily driver I think it’s very pretty. It doesn’t smell expensive or expertly blended. It’s more of a scent you’d find at Banana Republic or Zara. I don’t hate it, but I also don’t mind white florals. I get heavy Frangipani and not much else. If you want a great vacation scent you could throw in your travel bag this would totally fit the requirement.

It's November. Gloomy and it gets dark early, way too early already. I got a sample of Wild Child, while waiting for my laundry to start the rinsing mode, I decided to try this fragrance. BAM! Like a surprise party, I was suddenly somewhere lost on a paradise island somewhere in the South Pacific. Citrus, jasmine. It's all so good. So easy and unpretentious. Yes, nothing new here and yet I'm compulsively sniffing my wrist again and again. I don't know what it is but I love it.

Wild Child is more of a Mild Child. Sweet white flowers, a little bit tropical, a little bit citrus-fresh. Very feminine and girlish. I think it's a happy, carefree fragrance. I like it a lot. I'm a big fan of white floral fragrances, tropical fragrances, and citrus fragrances. It touches on all three. it's definitely a mood lifter. I like how the freesia adds a little touch of something more than the usual white and tropical floral notes.

Could have sworn there was tuberose in this upon first application. The gardenia comes through, and over the course of wear the white floral symphony kept taking surprising twists and turns. I got more complexity out of this fragrance than I was expecting to and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Wouldn’t wear it every day, but if I was in the mood to make people think I was daring and mysterious, this is what I would wear.

For one who doesn't play nicely whote white florals, I found something so appealing about this little gem. Jasmine and gardenia are predominant notes on my skin and it's youthful, vibrant, fun-loving - like sunshine in a bottle. Perfectly suited to my southern climate, this may be my first venture into the Pinrose family. A mood booster and a nice variation from my typical oriental loves.

mainly just white florals especially the gardenia is what i get from this fragrance. it is really pretty but very floral so if thats not your thing you will probably not like this one. i used to wear it quite a bit and i like it a lot.

Youthful, soft, sweet, obviously quite floral even a bit tropical. Very early summer vibes. It's not bad. I don't love it. But for a white floral with essentially no other note, it's quite pleasant. 6/10

Is this relaunch of Renegade Starlet? YES! Exactly my thoughts! Smells more like honeysuckle but fruity-creamy-powdery at the same time :)

If you don't like fragrances with a PROMINENT white floral scent profile, then this won't be for you. Spraying this, you're instantly hit with a big blast of gardenia and a bitter citrus (it smells more like a grapefruit then a bergamot for the first five minutes). That bitterness instantly reminded me of the white pith in a grapefruit. The citrus is VERY bright, but it's not sweet, mouth watering or juicy. After the first five minutes the citrus starts to soften a bit, but it stays throughout the entirety of the fragrance. The white florals are the main focus of this fragrance. They are slightly heady, and ever so slight powdery. Five minutes in, you really start to pick up on the fact that the citrus is bergamot, because you will get mild green nuances. There is a powdery/soapy quality to this, but it's relatively mild. I do NOT pick up the freesia, the vanilla or the amber. This fragrance LACKS sweetness entirely. Also, I definitely don't get any lactonic qualities. But I CANNOT stress this enough, If you don't like a slightly heady Gardenia, then you probably won't enjoy this. I don't think this is a safe blind buy, due to it not having any sweetness or any sweet fruity aspects. I don't think this would appeal to a younger crowd in general, this fragrance comes across as more mature in general. Even though this is a specific scent profile, it's nothing I haven't smelled before. It's nothing that hasn't been done already. I think this fragrance would work in a lot of settings, like church, work, brunch, etc. I will say though, projection is FANTASTIC. This can be NOTICED easily. So does the scent trail. Sprayed on clothing, it has above average lasting power. This would be ideal for spring, summer, and fall. This would absolutely hold up in the fall due to the projection and how dense the white florals are. I'm NOT convinced that the high price tag is worth it though, simply because the scent profile is nothing extravagant, or mind blowing. But, these are just my opinions.

I don't like the opening, which is a bit harsh and synthetic to me, just kind of a generic white floral perfumey smell, a bit irritating to the nose. The drydown is nicer, less harsh, with the jasmine being the most distinct note; the rest comes together as a homogenous blend of white florals, and I can barely pick up on some grounding with amber an vanilla, but it's still a bit synthetic and irritating to the note. I swear I get some rose too, but I don't see it in the notes. This is almost a like for me, almost something I might wear occasionally in spring, but it's ultimately just ok. If I owned a bottle, I might use it as a room spray, but would probably give it away. Would not purchase.

Very white floral but not too sweet. More of a real flower smell to it. I can pick up on the frangipani (plumeria). It’s pleasant and not too sweet and not headache inducing. I’m just not a white floral girl. If you are, I think you will love this. Personally I won’t buy it because there are other perfumes I love out there.

I can't do this one at all. Aside from the freesia ramping up over everything else (which is a me and my chemistry thing, not a fault of the perfume itself), the rest of it is just...flowery. Which figures, given the notes. I get almost no jasmine or vanilla (as it says in the description), just straight, cloying, generic floral. Honestly, I smell a little bit like my grandma's bathroom. This one's a no for me.

Very strong, cloying tropical floral mix. Seems extremely generic to me. In fact, it strongly reminds me of a fragrance oil I purchased from Whole Foods years ago. Possibly headache inducing. I'll pass.

This doesn't work for me. Again, white florals and I rarely get along. Smells like an older woman. It's absolutely not wild. I have no idea why they named it Wild Child.

A white musky floral accord, that is a little sharp. 3/10.

I blind purchased a purse size of this on Sephora to bring the total of my order eligible for free shipping. Its okay. Pinrose fragrances are pricy so I was expecting more. I was hoping it had a little more fruity and less floral. I'll probably try to layer it with something. Edit - I tried layering this nothing works. It's just not my vibe and I was being nice before. Tbh, this smells awful imo

I think this is called Wild Child because it reminds you of a friend you had either in high school or college who got away with everything by fooling the adults around her into thinking she was sweet and innocent but you knew better. And she was always pulling you into her schemes "adventures". She didn't realize that although she seemed immune to consequences, you were a Regular Child who was trying to be rational and stay alive. But you loved Wild Child because she pulled out that reckless side of you, that crazy inner brat. You cried over boys and laughed over beers together. She always had better luck with both of those things. Okay, perfume wise this is a basic subtle white floral. Mostly gardenia and freesia. Inoffensive, safe, professional even. Your parents would approve. But on the drydown there is a musky hint of the wild shenanigans glinting in your friend's eye.

this really smells like honeysuckle to me - magical honeysuckle that is radiating light and glowing with the scent of other white flowers. it's dewy and very fresh. i picture this rare type of honeysuckle growing in a rainforest somewhere, and the flower is tipped upwards to get the light of the sun dappled green through the canopy. i do also get a tropical vibe, that does take me away to an island where this flower exists. maybe sipping some lemonade because i also smell some bright citrus. i don't think this scent is very wild, but it does smell FREE. youthful, joyous, soaring. it has all the tone of a typical fresh floral scent but it is more real than many other perfumes of this type, doesn't smell as synthetic. and it has a strong presence. give it a try :)

Back in early spring I was walking around a Sephora, Wild Child on one wrist and Sun Saint on the other. Sun saint won out to me because of the upcoming summer season, but I always had a regret for not getting Wild Child. I feel that the name of this frag is critiqued, but I perceive it as the Enya song Wild Child- Soothing but vibrant, and of course with an emphasis on natural beauty/ florals. I had the good fortune of finding a mini rollerball set at my local Marshalls and was able to reunite with the scent. I'm just as infatuated months later.

For years I have been searching for a scent that smells like an Alyssa Ashley body spray from the early 1980’s ... I don’t remember the name, but it was in one of those metal aerosol cans, I would purchase it at the drug store... THIS! Is the closest I have ever come to the delicious freshness of that scent. I think it is the Gardenia note, but most gardenia scents are way too overpowering. This one is just right. I am going to try to layer it over solinotes musc in hopes that will add the touch of warmth the 80’s spray had....

White flowers and bergamot are among my favorites, so I should really love this. However, the nozzle smells fruity-floral, and when I spray it on I get a faint freesia scent, with something warm and woody underneath. I can't even smell it after an hour, and nobody could smell it on me when I asked. I have body mists with more projection and staying power. Too bad, it seems like a nice everyday perfume.

I have a rollerball of this and I get the middle and base notes listed. Maybe it applies better this way than sprayed. It definitely doesn't need applied heavily. It's nice for spring and summer. I keep it in my purse in case I forget to use something else before leaving the house.

Orchid and gardenia. WAY too much white flower for me. It's pretty, fairly simple, wears very linear and doesn't have longevity or projection. It didn't take me back to Hawaii, either, like a previous reviewer. This is a Big White Floral wedding day fragrance on me. Nope.

Calling this Lactonic is definitely a stretch but it’s a nice scent bright brust of bergamot in the opening then you get the gardenia and settles into the skin with the amber and tiare flower which pulls warmer an upbeat summer scent

I think this is the same fragrance as Renegade Starlet, which is a discontinued Pinrose fragrance. Renegade Starlet may have been just renamed instead of being totally discontinued.

Whew this one is screechyyyy. My sinuses are lit up now and I heard my dog sneeze twice after I applied this. I recommend use in very small doses.

This one sells out weekly at my local Sephora. It’s youthful, fresh and fruity floral.

Just reminds me of Clarins-Par Amour Toujours and I like it.
