You and your friends go out to grab a drink at a rooftop bar during a late august summers evening. After a scorching hot day you're looking to grab something to drink super refreshing even though the air has cooled down quite a bit now. You unbutton your suede jacket to let your vetiver cologne hang loose as the now cool air hits your chest. You then walk up to the bar and look at the menu's specialty cocktails. You eventually see one that catches your eye, a blood orange and gin cocktail: “Arid - for those who are parched... in more ways than one.” As you walk back over to your friends, new drink in hand, you begin to chat it up with everyone familiar and strange; introductions quickly giving way to you telling stories and joking around. As the good times flow, so do the drinks. You love the taste of the bitter and freshly squeezed blood orange with the bright, fresh, and icy gin. Life is good. One of the my favorite citrus focused fragrances in my collection. I have nearly worn through half of my bottle and it was one of the easiest reaches of last summer. An AMAZING super realistic and bitter yet juicy ice cold blood orange. This icy juniper and blood orange combo was made in heaven. As it dries down this wonderful clean suede and fresh vetiver note comes in to support the bitter blood orange and juniper, and man it is just so sexy. It's confident yet casual and it only gets better as it gains this wonderful smooth and slightly sweet sandalwood backbone. Leans masculine to my nose, but wear what you want. Wear this any time during the warm weather, under the heat of the sun or with the slight chill of the night, many will thank you. I really and truly can't wait to wear it again once the warmth comes around again soon. Fairly good projection and performance for a citrus fragrance, especially under the sun. 10/10. Masterpiece. Woody. Hot. Orange. ARID is my favorite scent from the Piper & Perro line. It is complex while being very easy to wear. ARID smells like an exotic dessert. Dry, hot, woody, fruity, with dark green notes appearing in the dry down. The orange in this scent is not sweet. Instead, the orange smells like the way lava looks, like a molten orange, heated and glowing red. All scent is unisex, but ARID is a special example of a perfume I want to wear all the time, and I want to spray on my boyfriend on days I decide to wear something else from my collection.

Like other P&P scents, you can pick out the individual notes fairly easily, but they are always cohesive and balanced. While for me it doesn't conjure up images of sand dunes and arid desert, it does invoke brushing past an attractive yet approachable stranger at a summer cocktail party; it's warm and comfortable, like the sun setting on hot day. If you're not usually a citrus person, this may win you over - the orange doesn't waver for the duration but it marries so well with the suede and sandalwood, it's not just fresh, but quite sexy. I own 7 or 8 P&P fragrances and this is by far the best IMO with Berg a distant second. Amazing blood orange/citrusy opening and dries down to a beautiful juniper/sandalwood with a very light touch of leather (suede, I guess). Nicely blended and doesn’t come across as synthetic to me. This is a perfect year round fragrance with medium projection and longevity. It leans masculine, but just slightly. Any age or sex could easily wear this. Really nice fragrance made by really nice people. 🇨🇦 Wait for a sale as P&P constantly bombards me with sales offers.
