Love. I wasn’t expecting to like this one at all. I found most “green” coconut scents I’ve tried seem to read as melting plastic to my nose. Given the green coconut note plus the surf wax, I assumed this would be the same. Wrong! This coconut reads much more natural to me. I never surfed and don’t know the scent of surf wax despite living a short drive from the CA coast, but I’ve always loved all things beachy, desert, and tropical which is how I ended up here in the first place. The waxy smell to this doesn’t read as car freshener to me, though it does have a slightly unnatural/manufactured scent. It’s a good scent, however, and I usually hate synthetic scents. It frankly, smells like the beach. Maybe not a natural beach with rocks and bushes, but the beach with lifeguards and flip flops, sunscreen and volleyballs. Summer in a bottle. I was looking for something oily and beachy to wear in between ocean swims and hot tub dips, oily so it doesn’t rinse away easily or dry my salted sunned skin out any more. I decided to order a bottle about 5 min after applying this. I will say the waxy note is strong and distinct, but I love that it isn’t plasticky or gross, it sort of makes me think of real beeswax. I also suspect tiare flower may be present as another reviewer mentioned. When I tested I had tiare on already, but no scent on my wrists and the tiare I thought I smelled in here smelled slightly different than the one I was wearing. Either way, this scent seems to work great with tiare and would layer well with tiare frags. Very happy to have sampled this one.

Love at first whiff. I am a California girl, so this scent just gives me the warm and fuzzy feels. It is everything that their website says it is -- an authentic beach scent that will transport you to a perfect day in the sun and sand, non-toxic ripe fresh coconut, old school sweet-coconut-banana-smelling suncreen/suntan lotion and a little more. The dry down is very delicate, sweet, and very comforting. It literally makes me so happy when I wear it, I just keep smiling and smelling myself all day. Very, very, very, nostalgic! It lasts all day, noting I am an over sprayer. Also, I ALWAYS get compliments. I own high-end and low-end fragrances, but there is just something special about this CLEAN eau de parfum made by some lovely ladies in Newport Beach. Thank you for making this, it is my dream beach-summer fun-surf-scent.

Free of parabens, silicon, sulfate, PEG’s, phthalate, and phosphate. Cruelty free and vegan. A true beach smell -suntan lotion, surf wax and the sand trailed in on a pre-Covid barefoot happy crowd. It reminds me of a happier time. Im very happy to have found it. It smells like the beach. I hope they continue to make it. The reviews are confusing to the Novice. A person does not have to spend a great deal of money to get a perfume oil that doesn’t contain any synthetic ingredients they can get that at Whole Foods. Many high-end perfumes include Cetalox A very common base now in the world of personal fragrances. As well as Ambroxan. Or Orcanox. There is a logical reason for this. A 2.4 lb chunk of Ambergis costs $20kUSD -sperm whales are now endangered species strict guidelines are enforcing how ambergris can be collected.

This fragrance is all about surf wax, and coconut suntan lotion. Eventually, you'll notice the amber; however, you wouldn't notice the wood note unless someone told you there was one. Presentation is pretty awesome. Comes in a little wooden box about the size of my palm (I'm a 6'3 dude), slide open the wood cover, and the bottle fits snug in a cork lining cut to fit the bottle. Very niche fragrance. For women, I could see this being worn year-round if you live in a warmer, coastal area. Otherwise, women could wear this spring/summer. For men, the window of opportunity is much smaller - beach/cruise, summer, daytime.

This is an addictive summer scent that is perfect in every way. I love the unique green coconut note that makes this perfume fresher than typical heavy tropical coconut perfumes. I've never smelled surf wax before, but I imagine that's the sunscreen note I'm picking up. There's also warmth in the base from the amber and woody notes. I use the perfume oil and the freshness lasts literally all day, even in humid summer heat, and I can still smell it on my clothes even after it's been in the laundry basket for days. I can't find anything bad about this gorgeous perfume.

I love summer beach scents and this one takes the cake. It's so creamy and yummy coconut with just a hint of tanning oil. I'm obsessed. Reminds me of summers spending every day at the beach. It lasts a long time. The packaging feels really special too. The bottle is smaller but it's also an oil not a perfume so it's concentrated, lasts long and worth the spend!! The perfect summer beach scent.

I grew up on the coast of Southern California. This perfume smells exactly how it felt, nostalgic and a dream-like memory of California. This scent is a frozen memory of spending all day at the beach in the sun, running along the sand with your parents as a kid, cruising the coast with your friends in your teenage years. It's smell has the comfort of a first love.

Mmm, I’d been looking for a surf wax fragrance forever, and this nails it! It may be the waxiness that some people don’t like, but if you surf you associate this with so many happy times, with the ocean, the excitement & anticipation of waxing a board... there couldn’t be a more invigorating scent for me.

Smells like almond extract, burnt Polylactic acid (in a good way), and sunscreen. I love this but it is definitely not for everyone. However, men seem to love it. My dad and two brothers ADORE the smell and one of my brothers said they wanted to take a bite out of my arm where I put it.

Mmm. Amaretto cookie with coconut. If anyone has had fresh-baked cookies with vanilla extract, almond flour and coconut flour, imagine that. The vanilla in this is strong, and I do sense a similarity to Pink Sugar, like a cousin of it. For those who want a basic coconut vanilla with a tiny touch of green, this is it. I don't know why it smells like amaretto baked goods to me, but I like it!

If you want a stronger wax note, get the oil. The perfume is less wax, a clear coconut and chemical tempered by the amber and woody notes. Cheerful and summery, not something I would wear out personally, but would enjoy if someone else were wearing it. I enjoy this one at home. This is unique in the coconut fragrances.

I've had the roller oil for almost 4-5 years. It's my go-to for layering. The longer I've had this fragrance the more green it's smelled. I love to layer this with vanillas, fruity/florals, and summery fragrances. My favorite combo is commodity juice and this.

I do think that this is artificial/synthetic, very soapy/air freshener... True true, but I actually enjoy it. It's not harsh or repelling, it's mild and would be good to spray onto the couch or bed. 5.5/10

Coconut dominant but yes it is a very waxy scent. It is kinda like Aquolina Pink Sugar but w dominant coconut.

Roller has a heavy coconut and wax scent that is ultimately thick. Very good for surfers who tryna drop money.

The coconut here is pretty noticeable; it’s in between the gourmand and the fresh coconut water you’d find in a coconut, so nothing too crazy in terms of sweetness, but it does throw me in for a loop in general. Unfortunately, it still maintains the heavy coconut characteristic and it overshadows the surf wax in here (though coconut in its own right), while having minimal amber/woodsy aspects worth pointing out. It’s a similar coconut found in Pool Boy by Xyrena but a bit more sweet/gourmandish. Nothing particularly outstanding about this perfume other than being coconut leaning. For the surf wax interpretation, since I prefer something with a bit less coconut, I prefer Kirra Curl over this.

Ugh. I'm torn. It smells like surf wax and coconut in the opening - but I could definitely see the comparison to the car wash air freshener - the scent is not a creamy or lactonic coconut in my opinion, but waxy - which is fine by me, because I like the scent of surf wax. Dry down is where I really don't feel this scent is for me, which sucks, because I wanted to love it. I get a very floral scent in the dry down - maybe tiare flower? I love the scent of real flowers, but usually not a fan or floral perfumes and in particular "tropical floral" scents.

Ugh.Luckily I bought this tiny bottle on sale otherwise I would have been really upset. First of all, it is super unfortunate that my first whiff of this immediately transported me to a public restroom air freshener. The fragrance is SCREAMING almond and sugar, and artificial. It IS really strong and long lasting, so that's great if you love it. I'm trying to get the public restroom association out of my mind and try it again. I smell ZERO coconut- a scent I love. Maybe some artificial sunscreen coconut-but it's def. not the main note. I don't know what surf wax smells like, so perhaps it is that plus sugar plus almond. I want more vanilla. I want more coconut.I want more amber ( I smell none). I am going to mix this fragrance with some vanilla/gourmand scents and see if I can't make this wearable. Otherwise, I'm giving this away of it's going on ebay. Very disappointed.

A synthetic mess. Smells like a cheap, synthetic, car freshener you buy at the car wash. I want my $50 back too!

I love this! This has the BEST sillage and longevity EVER. Think Al-rehab Soft, and then some! It's a sweet sweet roll on oil as well. Similar vibe to soft and pink sugar, but with the added summer beachyness. I didn't think I liked it at first (thought it was too sweet, and the negative reviews below got to me...) and gave it to my step-daughter. Then I started getting jealous of how GOOD the bathroom smelled AFTER she had left, from getting ready in it! This past year I have come to love gourmands and sweet scents plus this is one of the few my hubby said "THAT smells good!" On. If you love suntan oil, coconut, sugary vanilla, cuddle beach hugs- buy it!!! This would also be gorgeous to layer as a base under your favorite summer floral :) Oh and the reason I even know about this perfume oil, a girlfriend of mine works for the guy who made it. We live in Honolulu and my step-daughter (who moved to Washington) says she constantly gets compliments and told she smells of the islands. She's 22 and I'm 38 and we are both buying this again!

This perfume oil reacts VERY differently on different skin types, so I'm not surprised by the wildly disparate reviews. On me, it is a plasticky bubblegum nightmare AND it doesn't wash off, so I was stuck in this scent nightmare for hours. I was about to sell it on Ebay, when my daughter came home for the holidays and I offered it to her. She loved it, and I thought, oh, we evidently have very different noses. I gave her a hug about a 1/2 hour later and asked her what delicious scent she was wearing...it was the oil. On her, it is a delicious warm coconut-y beach cocoon. I was so dubious by this transformation on different skin, that I applied it my myself again - ugh...I understand the reviewer who wrote, "cheap, synthetic, car freshener." AND I had forgotten that it doesn't wash off. This perfume oil is the ultimate dice roll.

I love to add this as a layer with other fragrances. The vanilla-coconut warms everything up, dresses everything down, making other fragrances somehow more casual, like putting on a pretty dress and wearing it with cowboy boots.

I am just here to say that I’m beyond confused with anyone saying this smells like Zoologist Chipmunk. This has to be a joke.

I ordered this blind, and it's pink sugar. Since I now have both, I can compare. Love it, but they are the same..
