Nauyaca

Nauyaca; a snake that takes its name from the Nahuatl word meaning “four noses” The image of the nauyaca became part of my childhood imagination as a result of the legends I was told the first time I visited the Huasteca Potosina. I always imagined it brown, huge and violent (possibly nothing could be further from the truth) but that fantasy is what I wanted to represent in this composition. A year ago, Alejandro Bojorquez from Pisello Parfums suggested the idea of making an exclusive composition for my boutique in Mexico City and I took the opportunity to give life to a perfume inspired by the fantastic image I had as a child of this snake. The idea for the perfume was clear to me: ochre colors, dry leaves, a saddle, wet earth, wood and the aroma of a campfire where the legend that originated my nightmare is told. Since we are talking about a snake endemic to Mexico, we decided to work with different Mexican artisans to develop the project, from the leather of the bottle label, cut and marked by hand to the lid made of wood with more than 5 different processes that make each one completely unique.

This scent reminds me of a trip I took with my class in the second grade. We went to a museum and i was ecstatic, little did i know i would be scared shitless. (Long story short) It was fall and we where on the bus, the smell of the leaves and dirt was so calming and i was full of serenity. When suddenly we where brought inside and they showed us a mummified corpse of a person and i begged to be let out because i am the worlds most childish person. It was fun, and the ride was great, But like the scent, the inside smells like HELL. (still recommend it though for my niche friends)

Overpriced "niche" pretentious juice, pretentious notes, pretentious story, pretentious bottle and cap. This smells 90% like my $50USD Lattafa Khalid. Smoky, sweetish leather with saffron. If you can't tell the red flags then I'm just sorry.
