King of the Game

Playboy King of Game is a weird scent but I am liking it. If you like Frankenstein’s monster fragrances, you should like this cheapie. It has been on sale in Wal-Mart in the past six months or so and now hit the discounters like all Playboy fragrances do. I find it is a weird mix of about five fragrances that shouldn't necessarily work together but does in King of Game. It has some Azzaro Wanted due to a sweet lemony open leading into a sweet mid with some apple, it has some CK One Shock for men in it too due to the energy drink vibe (This from the “Yaegerbomb note”) as well as the spicy notes to it, I also notice some La Nuit de l'homme due to the cardamom and cedar note, it also has some spicy booziness like Halloween Man Shot (though I wouldn't say it smells like it besides similar notes), and finally I get a slight Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Casual Life vibe due to the citrus/cardamom opening into a coffee mid. I also notice that the fragrance is a typical Playboy scent where it is sweet but I find it is much different than the VIP offerings and Play It Wild. The coffee is there like I mentioned for the Uomo Casual Life comparison, but it is much slighter. I also notice a slight non descript blue fragrance vibe to it, though I would not dare say it is close to say Sauvage, Dylan Blue, Jimmy Choo Man or Bleu de Chanel. I also don't notice Invictus, Coach for Men or Jimmy Choo Man Intense vibes despite it smelling similarish to Wanted. The notes of King of Game I kind of mentioned in that long intro but let me cover them here. As mentioned I notice a lot of spice in the opening like CK One Shock and La Nuit with some Wanted like lemon fighting for notice. Though the unlisted Yaegerbomb note is the strongest in the open. It is very energetic and subtle booze. In the mid the Wanted like apple note fights with the coffee note from Uomo Casual Life and I think wins slightly though the Yaegerbomb note is still there. In the base, you get the La Nuit cedar note and some vanilla rounding out the fragrance. The fighting of the notes does hurt this fragrance a little bit, I must say but the notes themselves aren't off putting. The performance is a little weird. It should be a club banger but it don't performs like one. Instead it is a cheaper La Nuit de l'homme in that it is a scent best used on dates. That said, it lasts about six/seven hours on my skin which is the borderline for moderate to long lasting. Village is moderate at best for about an hour/hour and a half from my typical one to the neck/chest, one behind each ear. Use is interesting. It plays like a nighttime Uomo Casual Life. It can be used in summer nights easily as well as spring and fall. For winter you might do better with CK One Shock or La Nuit. For use, dining out and dates are the best uses for this one. Playboy King of Game is a little bit off on the name front. I don't think it a clubbing scent despite the Yaegerbomb note. That said that note is the star and the glue in this Frankenstein's Monster. It is about 40% CK One Shock, 30% La Nuit de l'homme, 20% Wanted, 7% Uomo Casual Life and 3% Halloween Man Shot with some traces of Blue fragrances and Playboy trademarks. That said I can only rate this a 6.8 out of 10 because of the limited use and the fighting of what it tries to be. I happen to like it and think it is worth a blind buy if you don't have CK One Shock or La Nuit de l'homme or even Wanted, but know it isn't going to blow you away.

Whoever claim it smell like BdC should have his nose examine. KoG is a Sweet Clubbing fragrance updated with a modern 2015~2018 vibe. While it doesn't smell like anything I've smell before, it does vague resemble a cross between 3 colognes. It's share the same Sweet Lemony opening as Azzaro Wanted with a tad of PB INVICTUS in the middle, then dry down to same Playboy VIP Vanilla. ****************************************** I LIKE IT, I don' love it, Good for Club ****************************************** Due to its Syrupy Sweet Vanilla, King of Game is more suitable as a cheap Clubbing Fragrance for the young men, rather than a mature men looking for a versatile office scent. If you like modern Party fragrance in the line of Versace Eros, Armani Code Profumo, and JPG UltraMale, or Azzaro Wanted, PB INVICTUS or PB 1 Million, then you will ♥ Playboy King of Game. ***************************************** Decent Performance for cheap price ***************************************** Playboy's value/performance continue to stun me. King of Game give me 1hr of projection, then fade to a skin-scent that last 4 hours for a total of 5hrs on skin, or 6hr on clothes. This is a very good performance for under $10 cologne. Recommend on Younger Guys for clubbing Don't recommend on Older Mature guys for office Great for Spring/Fall/Winter, but not suitable for summer as it can get cloyingly sweet with just 3~4 sprays.

I blind-bought $18 [Guess Seductive Homme] recently, and I spray it last night, I realized it smell the same as the $9 Playboy King-of-Game I recently sold but with worse longevity. ************************************* How they are Similar & Different ************************************* Both are Sweet Synthetic borderline Candy-ish Both are Sweet Clubbing scents Playboy KOG open with Cardamon + BLACK Pepper Guess Seductive open with Cardamon + PINK Pepper Playboy KOG end with Patchouli + Vanilla Guess Seductive end with Patchouli + Amber Playboy KOG project for 1hr, last 3~4 hrs Guess Seductive project for 30min, last 2~3 hrs Playboy KOG cost $9 on eBay Guess Seductive cost $18 on eBay I do regret selling Playboy King of Game to buy Guess Seductive Homme for twice as much.

I have it. I want to start off by saying performance is moderate. Both longevity and projection. I expected it to be bad, because of the low price and the brand "Playboy". It turned out to be nice. I wouldn't go so far to call it good. Maybe I would, but I just can't. The scent itself is good! I like it. You know what? It's very good. I like it very much so. I would even consider it wearing on a date. The guy above me said it's for "urban people". Hell no! I'm from the country and I love it! Reminds me of an expensive designer fragrance. Just don't know which. Also, it does smell cheap. A girl who's into fragrances will notice that. A girl who doesn't will not. Especially young girls. They will like it! When it dries down it smells like Bleu De Chanel - by Chanel. Very strange.

to my nose this smells like buttering fruit loaf out the toaster, but not that burning smell. i like it. I also detect a faint hint of invictis after a few minutes Edit: I am convinced this could pass as a clone of invictis just no where near as strong. After a few minutes it is almost identical

Hugh Hefner was definitely the king of the game. This is a great smelling fragrance that isn't overly strong and it's cheap. This is a bit of a night time, night out fragrance. This is a good one to have like all of the Playboys. I give this an 8.6/10

Very interesting smell. Good diversity. But the performance is quite bad. Suits well for younger guys.

For 4.5 euros, I got a 60 ml perfume and body deodorant spray of 150 ml. It can't be cheaper. Ok, that's one positive thing, the next is that the perfume is not bad, reminds of a ''CK Shock'', even more on a ''Playboy Play It Wild'', for example, thay which again resembles a another perfume and so in a circle. Playboy changed the look of the bottle and now it seems more serious. Again, the sprayer is still terrible and reminiscent of other Playboy perfumes.This perfume is for colder days, but he's not for too cold days.The projection is quite solid for this level of perfume, and it can be felt over 3 hours. I'm taking off my ''hat'' for that.The perfume itself is for young, urban people, with very popular notes and countless times seen, which I already wrote. So, who loves sweet, popular perfumes, and will not give much money, even a solid choice. However, to be completely honest because I already have a lot of perfumes, for me and too much, I bought this ''Playboy King Of The Game'', because of the popular price and because I liked it, relatively, but I repeat: not a playboy worthy of being called a real designer perfume, but with the price it certainly is, just that and nothing more. P.S. I must admit: zara perfumes is the best in this class of low end designer perfumes. I did not want admit that for so long, but now is clear, and of course it is not a plus for zara!

According to other sites and the official Playboy video for this scent, the notes include black coffee and an alcoholic drink accord (known as "Jager Bomb"). I used two sprays to the chest. It does seem to have an alcoholic drink accord, but it's not nearly as "in your face" as the one in CK Shock for Him, for example. There is also a clear but mild black coffee note, and nothing that comes across as obviously synthetic/chemical, at least after the first few minutes. And it's certainly not too sweet. For lavender note haters, there isn't any here, AFAICT. So, it's got a niche-like quality, but it's a bit too blended and lacks the depth one finds in the best niche scents of this type. Still, for $7 per 100 ml new, I can't complain and look forward to wearing it again. When I do I'll report back if I get a different impression. Longevity and projection seem good if not very good (not weak, that's for sure). On some level it's like the black coffee version of Play Intense for Men, but without the harsh musk used in that one. The base notes listed are weak so what you get at first lasts quite a while.

This stuff ain't bad. Saw it at Wal-Mart and sprayed myself with the tester. I get a weak Invictus vibe mixed with MB Legend. Not for a collector or a fraghead, but a good and cheap pick up for a younger person headed to the club or a date who needs a quick complament quality frag.

Its similar to UDV homme silver. Nothing special, a burst of green apple and cardamom all the way. To me, its unisex yet its too feminin for gentleman. But it have a nice longevity.

I kinda like this frag. Perfect for a night out.
