Play It Spicy

My love for this has been rekindled. I had bought a bunch of these back in the day, Play it Lovely, Sexy, Spicy, VIP, Generation, and Super Playboy. My favorite ones were Play it Spicy, Super Playboy and Generation (which has gone alittle stale in its bottle after so long). The VIP was alright, nauseating to me, always reminding me of VS Supermodel which is way better or Britney's Hidden Fantasy abit, also better. So my top fav was Play it Spicy and then Super Playboy for being so different. Years ago Play it Spicy seemed quite basic after wearing it alot, but now I wore it again and appreciated how different it is. It is a unique scent to me with a bold character. Perfumes these days seem to be recycled among companies under different names and they are vaguely sweet. This one really stands out. I pick up the bellini, the deep melancholy heliotrope, juicy sweet red berries and the passion flower which I love in perfumes even tho it can get a bit heady sometimes (not here tho) and of course the glorious amber which is a bit spicy here for sure with the sandalwood, almost like patchouli but not green. The tiger lily is a beautiful twist of freshness and the reason why this scent always reminds me of night time walks at my Greek home town in the summer when all the white night flowers release their fragrance. I also get this feeling from VS Sexy Little Things and I believe these belong in the same genre. The amber adds a touch of sexiness and warmth to it, the sandalwood smells slightly off on me at first and if I smell my skin up close (sandalwood is a hit or miss on me - the stale pencil shavings note) but after awhile it is discreet and makes the scent woody and somewhat "drier". I will repurchase this, wish they produced it in the new bottle design like the others. Another fav is Queen of the Game, slightly masculine on me at first, deep and sexy. Last one I got is Endless Night and wasnt a fan, now waiting for Play it Wild.

I bought the gift set that included Play It Lovely, Sexy, and Spicy 1oz each after Christmas this year because it was on clearance for 1/2 price. The bottles are cute and I thought I would try them out. I admit, I didn't think I would love any of them when I bought them, but hoped they would be nice enough to wear when doing daily things like running to the store ect.. The Lovely was exactly what I expected. The Sexy scent is unfortunately not one I can wear. The Spicy however, was incredible! I was so surprised. It is very sexy and sensual.. Sweet, spicy, with a nice deep vanilla amber base. It is very unique and interesting.. I have gotten several compliments, the only problem is that when asked what I am wearing, I feel a little silly admitting that it is Playboy :p Some people have a slightly inacurate and judgmental idea of those who would wear a perfume by them..

I saw this at Marshalls for $6.99 per one Oz. I thought it was a good idea to buy it, after I read some reviews about it in here. I thought the price was very good. The perfume is not a great quality one but it is also not $6.99 worth. It smells familiar, soft spicy, sexy and young. I really don't care that it is a Playboy perfume as long as it does not smell like "stripper"....Though I have no idea how a stripper smells like. :P ...I think this is good for all seasons, but I think winter and fall is best. I like it very much.

This is a mellow scent that opens up with a dazzling Bellini cocktail( yay peachy scent!). There's also the presence of fruits, mild whiffs of vanilla and a dab of musk. Spicy, fruity, musky and sweet. Smells very delicate, feminine, but also innocently seductive. It lasts around 3-4 hours on skin and 8 hours on clothes/hair. Price: S$17.90 for 1.7 oz (50ml). This means it's an affordable perfume to spritz away on a daily basis.

I love surprises. And what a surprise Play it Spicy was! I know, Playboy. Cheap, tacky, blah, blah. And yet, Some of my favorite fragrances belong to this brand. Play it Spicy is velvety sweet, it envelopes you in a soft caress, like a cashmere sweater. It’s so feminine yet elegant. In a way generic but so attractive and pleasing. I’m a guy so all I can say is Go and buy it!

Smells amazing I smell vanilla/fruit/spice/floral/wood this stuff makes me feel good when i spray it it's almost a somewhat beachy kind of smell in my opinion anyways I think it is perfect for all seasons! it's one of a kind!.. lasting power is weak lasts about 2 hours at the MOST but it is a great fragrance for the price.

This one is amazing! I never thought it would smell so nice! The drydown is weak but it is the best part by far - sweet, sugary, fruity, floral and oriental. I can't stop sniffing my wrist, the scent really does bound anyone. A winner in my opinion. Plus the bottle is really cute!

I really like this. It's very feminine and pretty and suitable for every occasion. I don't have to think about it, I just spray it. It is a very pleasant smell, kind of mysterious, softly sweet and beautiful. And it was very cheap and I really like it!

My favourite out of all playboy perfumes. So sad it’s not sold anymore. The longevity was weak, but the smell and radiance were great. Got so many compliments from young men. Definitely made me feel more confident in my teen years😅

I like this scent alot. It reminds me of something I already have, but it smells so good that I don't care! Update: Just realized it reminds me of XOXO Heartbeat. Since its discontinued, this is good news!

This one is the best Playboy for women. I like The orangey smell mixed with soft spicy sweetness. I have two bottles and I find I go off to my vanity to just smell it often :) Very nice IMO

This was pretty surprising considering the price. Which is why I blind bought it. My expectations were next to zero. I suspecting chemical and knock-offs. I was more than taken back when I began testing it I was entranced with that Belinni, Vanilla and Amber cocktail. It spritzed on very nicely and surrounded me with most pleasant sultry combinations of scents. They did a good job on the blending, never smelt even the slightest cheap or chemical residue. The dry-down did not diminish the experience in the least and even settled into a very alluring and warm afterglow. I was pretty impressed. Enough to blind buy their other fragrance that fell into my preferred "Scent/note safe zone" that being "Queen Of The Game" which also solidified my trust in these scents as "very trustable nice despite the price". Though the two are a bit different that sail on the same sea, and react with my body chemistry very well.

Clearly, I must have been having a bad night when I wrote my original review for this, so I'm going to write a new one. While I'm still not in love with this scent, I really am finding it quite nice the more I smell it. I still feel as though it smells cheap, but not soapy like a lot of the cheaper scents do. For the small price I paid for it, it actually is pretty impressive. The longevity is weak (2 hr max), but the sillage is decent. I wish it had a little more kick to it though. I just feel like something is missing. Maybe more amber or sandalwood would do it for me? Regardless, it is growing on me, so I'm going to keep it in my collection for a bit longer before tossing it or giving it away.

Play it Spicy is not spicy in any way, so that's a bit of a misnomer. It is sweet and artificial, in a happy, fun way. I can smell the peach bellini alcoholic drink, heliotrope, and vanilla, most out of all the notes listed. This fragrance puts me in a good mood. It smells like stopping in a convenience store for snacks. It smells super synthetic (in an interesting way), like plastic wrap. It brings to mind opening up one of those fruit pies that come in a box, along with vanilla-scented cigars and rolling papers. When I put this on, I think: "summer" and I think: "road trip." It only lasts about an hour. I think the bunny ears on the bottle are cute.

Very simply, to me this smells identical to Burberry Brit EDP, just a bit sweeter/cheaper. No spice here, just a pleasant, if a bit dated, fruity, cashmeran perfume. Biggest downside and difference to Brit is longevity; For me the iconic Burberry fragrance lasts quite a few hours where I find this lasts an hour max, but that’s likely due to the fact Play it Spicy is EDT. Fullsize 3.3 oz bottles of Brit EDP go for under $30 online so I’d say thats a better value, but I still enjoy/appreciate this lil cheapie and its cute bottle. 🤓

Wouldn't have tried this in a million years. Had I not seen the reviews on this site. The price makes the risk of a blind buy possible. It is my first playboy fragrance and probably not the last. I think this fragrance is wonderful. For the price and amount you can't pass it up. I didn't know what to expect. Something cheesy, sleazy and cheap. Not at all its delicate and not overpowering or offensive. I do not regret this blind buy glad I took a chance.

I just got this today and it smells so much like Carmen Electra’s Rrrr perfume. This is nice too but im kinda bummed because i kinda wanted a totally different vibe because i already have Rrrr perfume. Don’t get me wrong because i love Carmen’s perfume, i was just hoping this one would be more spicy. But nevertheless this is still a very nice perfume at a very cheap price. It’s worth having if you are on a budget. Highly recommend!

In my opinion Play It Spicy is a very sexy skin scent. It's in no way cheap and I don't think anyone could guess it is from Playboy. The lasting power is not half bad either for a perfume I bought for five euros. On me I don't smell much of bellini or red berries but vanilla and sandalwood. I don't mind at all, I still like it. I'd say this is a true find!

this perfume along with the other ones are more suited for teenagers.This one is sweet but not too sweet and a bit spicy but not too much. nothing spectacular.You can sent the red berries and the bellini at first and the vanilla note stays all along.lasts long too.It reminds me of c-thru Ruby which i wore in high school :D

I like this one quite a bit. It smells related to Play it Sexy, but this one has the vanilla toned way down, and is more "sparkly". I can smell the fruits mixed with amber, with vanilla at the base. Just like Play it Sexy, this one is also a warm, sweet, inviting scent, not too sophisticated, but smells really good.

I like this Perfume, It's the best one from the Playboy Perfume Collection. It's a little strong scent even if its fruity and woody but it still smells nice and for the price its a good deal. You can find this Perfume at Walmart for 9$. This Perfume I Recommend to use it at Night. Scent: 4/5 Bottle: 3/5 Price: 5/5

I was very disappointed when I bought this perfume. I loved the deodorant and I wanted to buy the perfume as well. So I went to the shop and bought the biggest bottle they had. When I sprayed it the first time, it was way sweeter than the deo. Although it is a nice scent, I would love it to be more spicy.

Play it Spicy opens as a sparkly fruity cocktail of peach and oranges, it then transcends to a sweet vanilla amber which is reminiscent of the Viva La Juicy DNA, this is a mass appealing, easy to like fragrance but is not unique..It only costs $10 and it's worth every penny

i have one of the play it ones i think it is this one. It smells bad, if u try it in store, but if u put it on your skin it will give u a sweet-floral-fruity smell. yes it is a littlebit spicy. not really sweet one (like chocolovers by aqualina). but i like it.

I purchased this, not thinking I would like it, in the store after testing it out. Boy, what a pleasant surprise! This is one of my favorite of the Playboy scents. It works very well with my chemistry and I cannot wait to try out the others. Cute bottle!

Tried this one out today. It reminded me of Britney Spears's Circus Fantasy, though not as fruity. This one was a little smoother with more amber and vanilla. It was pleasant, but nothing I found to be particularly memorable.

To me, this smells exaclty like Guess Seductive noir. It's really nice with a deeper spicy note than compared to the others in the line. Still a fruity celeb type scent but very close to guess Seductive noir

A very nice fragrance. I was very surprised how much I liked it. It is an inexpensive fragrance and really quite well done considering. Longevity is poor but for the price you can afford to spritz it often.

Very peachy, very sweet, but not too syrupy. Great value for the perfume you get. I would have loved it to be more spicy; I think pink pepper would have been a lovely note in it.

I like this perfume. It is a nice floral, not heavy and not too sweet. It has a nice soft flowery spicy smell with some woods. I love the lotion too. Any age can wear this.

Sweet boozy berry fragrance, generic and with very poor performance (<1hr). I bought it to explore their fumes but never again. No spice to be detected anywhere, very boring but not terrible.

It was nice. Like a watery fruity cocktail. Would I buy it again? No. Wouldn’t last long and didn’t have much projection.

i own the deodorant version which smells exactly like the perfume as i tested it out in the store. i thought i liked it in the store and since the price was quiet cheap i thought it was a bargain. i really dont like this one at all and dont know what i was thinking! in the opening i get a straight up sugary lemon note (which might be the bellini), which made me very nauseous, and vanilla throughout. the dry down is a lot nicer and softer and i get hints of floral and fruity notes. i can barely get past the opening so this scent is not worth it for me. its nothing special, reminds me of the impulse deodorants. not impressed but i didnt expect much from it.

First smelt this when a friend was wearing it and on her it smelt gorgeous. However as soon as I buy it and spray it on myself it smelt just like a body spray in perfume form and just plain cheap and nasty. I'm not sure whether it just doesn't mix with my chemistry very well or I bought the wrong one (pretty sure my friend said play is spicy) it I absolutely hate it. The only positive point I would give it is that for a £6 perfume the lasting power is excellent. If anyone is interested in trading this perfume (I'll take anything!) Then just message me!

I don't like most of the Playboy scents either. I have to agree with most reviewers here who describe them as cheap and quickly fading. Maybe nice for teenagers but that's about it. I'm not too fond of things with the Playboy sign on it anyway. Today it might be trendy, but I guess I'm the wrong generation for that. This one smells like warm spices or like Fanta - just whatever you imagine :) It starts with a blasts but then fades away quickly.

Initially I loved this scent. But after several applications I began to dislike it. It’s too... I don’t know... shallow? Annoying? And rough maybe, hard to describe. Anyway, it turned out to be a big disappointment for me.

I bought it when I was 19, was too sweet then but I thought I'll get used to it and make myself like it. I'm 26 now and I still have that same bottle. I never got used to the smell, too sweet and too deep for me.

I had hoped to like this more than I did. I find it smells a cheap and not all sexy. If anything, I find it to be more of a playful/flirty and young scent. Upon the first spray, I can make out the Bellini cocktail. But the rest of the notes blend together and it ends up smelling like a very fruity champagne type of scent. It is not a very unique fragrance but not bad either. I really wish I could make out more of the vanilla, amber, and sandalwood. Every time I try to use it, I end up washing it off because I feel either it smells too cheap or the scent simply does not fit me well. When I have time to wait and allow it to settle, I like it a whole lot more. It takes a while but once it dries down and settles, the scent softens and smells much more pleasant. At first, the sillage is about arm's length but once it dries it softens and becomes more of an intimate scent that sits close to the skin. Overall, it is not really my kind of thing. I wouldn't buy it again.

I ended up finding and purchasing all three Playboy perfumes on a whim while looking for other perfumes online. I figured I would choose the one I liked best and give the other two to my mom and sister. When I first received the perfumes I could smell them without even opening the boxes. The alcohol was very strong. When I took them out and smelled them directly I wasn't happy, all I got from all the scents was an incredible amount of musky alcohol. But I decided I'd give these perfumes the benefit of the doubt and try wearing each one for a day. Boy was that a great idea! After you get through the (rather extreme) alcohol, they are actually really nice. I couldn't believe it, after about ten minutes of wearing Play It Spicy I was in love. It fades to an incredibly sweet, sexy, and unique smell. On my skin it sort of smells like sweet black cherries with just a hint of musk. The other two I wasn't too crazy about but they weren't bad at all and it was the same for them too, you won't smell anything good until the die down on either perfume but in my opinion it's really worth it. I love wearing this perfume to bed, it only takes about three sprays and the scent stays in my sheets for days, both me and my handsome fiance absolutely love that. This perfume will last about two hours on my skin but it lasts all day in my clothes. I know this perfume has some bad reviews but it's different for everyone and for some reason it has served me extremely well. This is one of the few perfumes I own that has the ability to make me feel genuinely sexy. I will definitely rebuy this one when I run out. Plus, how could I not love the sexy bottle? So happy that they put the bunny ears as the topper, very feminine.

Very frustrating to review this because this is incredibly effective! Sweet, spicy, ultra sexy and screams 'come hither...if you dare' I only picked it up for the voluptuous and curvy bottle as I initially had no care about the juice inside. Once I placed her up on my shelf she immediately blends in with the rest of my 90 bottles and refuses to look tacky despite the plastic bunny ear cap. Now for the most amazing thing about this perfume ( amazing and annoying at the same time! ) My partner is used to me wearing all sorts of indulgent fragrances and some times weeks can go by without him taking notice of what I am wearing even when I change my fragrance every day. Sometimes I can spend hours pampering myself and treating myself to all sorts of precious lotions, potions and perfumes and it can very easily go unnoticed! This gets worn on days I am simply not feeling like putting much effort, the days which I just cant be asked to spend hours on myself. My partner compliments on it without fail!!! This annoys me because I have so many bottles of juice but nothing gets him worked up like this! The cheapest one in my entire collection! Do ignore the label on this, pick it up if you want to seduce some one... the fragrance is incredibly alluring... its not a lollipop candy hello kitty type sweetness, it is a ripe, matured, passionate, spicy sweetness with an intoxicating character... works magic on your typical man and will leave them chasing you! I have heard some say it smells like the 'easy girl' but this is pure stereotyping! Carry yourself with pride, walk with your head high...ignore the men wolf whistling, do let them fight over your attention and you will be fine!

I can see why this is getting criticisms but I actually dont mind it! I don't believe that it smells cheap but yes it smells common, like lots of other perfumes. But you know what I have a huge compliment for it - I sprayed it about 5 hrs ago and I can still smell it! Pretty good for such a low cost fragrance. I wore it when I went shopping today and a woman stopped me to ask what I was wearing and said it smelt so nice. I think one of the other ones I think it is Play it sexy smells pretty good to but the play it lovely one was a bit too ordinary. Overall, a good everyday perfume and great for ladies on a budget.

I agree with someone who said this smells like amor amor I find that too. It also reminds me on the drydown of Pink Happiness little secrets from Revlon and a little of Flowerbomb. I do like it. I have been using these because I got the three in a pack half price. The lovely one reminds me of Antonio Banderas blue perfume. I have that and evertime I spray it I keep thinking it reminds me of something and that is it. I like Lovely and Spicey but Sexy just smells to me like a lighter version of Spicey. I will have to keep testing. They do last on me I don't find they fade so that for me is a huge plus.

I bought this today (another blind buy) after the notes here caught my eye and I was in luck again! Previously I had gotten Play it sexy - body spray after smelling a few of the Playboy fragrances in store and being pleasantly surprised - to me they're girly and sweet, with nothing sultry or provocative, as one could expect. This one I find very enjoyable as well, I would describe it as a sweet, fruity-champagne-y scent (like a cocktail ;)), very feminine and playful, fit for both day and evening wear, in any season really. On my skin it lasted about 5 hours. Very happy with it!

I hve al 3 in the set, and this one to me is my favorite. It's a sweet fruity floral that is very pretty and inoffensive..in the dry down. I was a little grossed out when I first tried this out on my skin:alcohol and bug spray. Blech. But, like any scent addict, I gave it a chance. It's very girly, and great for summer. Not the most original frag, but nice. Good for someone who is trying to build their collection while saving some money. I got the whole set for a whopping $10 after Christmas.

I don't get any spices here. At the beginning smells awfully cheap, like hundreads of drugstore scents. The worst of the trio. But the very drydown reminded me a bit of XS pour elle by Paco Rabanne - the original one. I was so surprised! The strip was lying on my table. After 24 hours when I forgot about it I was working on computer and started to wonder what was that nice smell around...I discovered it was Play it Spicy. At this stage, best of the trio.

I agree with MellyHelly that from all of the playboy scents, Play it Spicy & Play it Lovely are the best. I just bought this fragrance today and I'm pretty much satisfied. It's freaking cheap & although it doesn't stay longer than 1 hour, still it's a great buy for everyday perfume. On my skin it smells woody with a hint of fruitiness-berry fruits. Quite generic,but still very nice for everyday office wear.

Out of all the Playboy Play it Spicy and Play it Lovely are the best ones IMO even if different. I could wear this in a mood, but it also smells very spicy-generic, not refined at all and cheap like many parfum deospray you find at drugstores. Not stinky, but nothing special. I think it could match teenagers tastes for a sexier scent to wear to go out, but not for me. The bottle is cute!

I had it like 3 years ago. I remember it strong, sweet and spicy at the same time. Kinda oriental, but not exactly. Most men I dated then seemed to like it :P Not classy girl perfumes and probably not the greatest achievement of the art of perfumery, but I had a time of really enjoying it. By the comments below, I see it's a bit overpriced in Poland (almost 14 usd for 50 ml).
