Murmure d'Ete

For me, testing Murmure d'Eté was that rare, joyful occurrence: getting a sample of a fragrance (and this case even a brand) I'd never heard of before, spraying it on without any expectations, and falling instantly and head over heels in love with it. I knew I had to have a big decant of this one after about two minutes, without so much as taking a look at the list of notes...and having used up my entire sample in about a week (another rare occurrence for me), I still feel the same: I think a full bottle is definitely in my future somewhere. In hindsight it's not so surprising that I should be so crazy about this one: I love all kinds of fig-based scents, from the wonderful green scent of the leaves and branches of the tree, over the earthy, milky fruitiness of the real fruits, to heavily sweet interpretations of fig nectar - and this one seems to combine all of those aspects into one irresistible package. Unlike the only other reviewer so far I don't think it's a particularly fresh scent - it's not very light, and so in my opinion nothing like Philosykos or Fico di Amalfi (except that they are all great fig scents - so I guess for normal, none-fig-scent-obsessed people they do smell a lot alike!). Instead, it combines all those lovely fig characteristics with milky, creamy sandalwood; that's definitely the second most prominent note to my nose. And it's a match made in heaven: sweet and warm and a little gourmand-leaning without quite going there. Very well balanced and, at least to my nose, just totally addictive. I do think it's a summery scent in that it evokes the fragrances of summer, as the name (which is as lovely as the fragrance itself, by the way) suggests. But I think it could be worn in all seasons and for all kinds of occasions. I hope I can get my hands on a bigger amount of this soon...I'm already mourning my sample after emptying it this morning.

A gossamer light, airy and enchanting fragrance that radiates a fresh greenness and the warmth and sunshine of a perfect summer day. At its heart lies a fresh and green, translucent fig that is somehow the most figgy fig and also the least figgy fig I’ve smelled in a perfume. What do I mean by that? It is like the true essence of fig. There is no milk, nothing bitter or woody, just the gentle sweet heart of fig. This fig is surrounded and buoyed up by several layers of sweet green leaves, all young and tender, all exhaling the beauty and hope of summer. Tonka brings in a little sweet powderiness. This is a fresh green fragrance without any of the bitterness or bite often associated with green perfumes. It is innocent, delicate, fresh, lovely. Murmure d’Ete lasts just a few hours on skin, but this feels appropriate. If you’re stuck in the midst of a grey and cold winter, smell this to remind yourself summer will be back.

To my nose this perfume resembles Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma in the figginess department. I have to say I think I like Murmure D’ete more! It’s juicy and bright, green, fresh and well-blended. It’s like Fico di Amalfi without the bitterness, softer in texture because of the freesia and anchored by the woods in the base. Fico having all the citruses in the top gives it an astringent and bitter facet where as Murmure is softer around the edges. It is the perfect spring to summer scent. It’s absolutely gorgeous! If you love the note of fig, then you have to get your nose on Murmure D’ete! It’s so juicy that it’s making my mouth water! Makes me think of strolling in fig orchard on a beautiful sunny, warm, spring day— where the air is fresh and sweet!

I got the Plume Impression discovery kit mainly for Rivalite Imperiale but Murmure d'Ete is hands down my favorite of the 6. It's a beautiful milky fig scent, not as green, fresh or realistic than Philosykos. Murmure d'Ete is creamier, softer, warmer and borderline sweet which makes it more interesting and pleasant to my nose. Longevity is also pretty good. If you like fig scent, get this one or at least sample it, you won't be disappointed. My favorite fig with Debaser and If ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5

In my honest opinion, this is THE BEST milky fig on the market (and I've tried a lot). The fig is green but retains the natural sweetness from the fruit. Instead of smelling sugary or like synthetic fragrance sweeteners. It is a milky, creamy, woody yumminess that I just can't stop sniffing. It kicks Diptyque's Philosykos and DS&Durga's Debaser in the a**. Yeah, I said that. If you are a fig fan, you are missing out not trying this one.

My favorite fig frag to date. It’s light enough to wear everywhere. Creamy texture. The sillage is beautiful. Surrounds you like an aura scent. Performance on me is 5-6 hours with 8 sprays. Does not fill the room with overspray, just lasts longer. This is my 3rd blind buy from the house and all are absolutely worth it. BeautyLiv has this brand for $112-$130 a bottle. Most affordable price I’ve found online.

If you were hoping for Feijoa you will be disappointed. This is made for Fig lovers. It's one of my favorite notes and I love how Fig is done here: sweet, milky, with coconut and some greenness without bitterness. This is perfection. Amazing performance, incredible sillage, very high quality ingredients. It's like wearing Philosykos but while walking in nature in summer, dried leaves and bushes on the side of a lake omit strong aroma. The air is very dry and warm. This is a summer dream. Excellent.

I"m a huge fan of anything Quentin Bisch creates. If you love fig fragrances, definitely try this one. I've been looking for a replacement for my discontinued Jo Malone Wild Fig and Cassis and I think I've finally found it.

Stunningly garden fresh, moves like foliage in a breeze, revealing light n shade. Ace.

First spray, this has a sweet, buttery kettle corn scent, a hint of green coconut, bright green notes with a smooth creamy undertone. As it dries down, sublte woodsy notes emerge, at first summery in a tropical way, but then in a way that reminds me of harvesting blueberries at my grandmothers east coast cottage nestled in the woods near the ocean, sweet fern and cedar wafting in the air. While the notes are woody and green, this isn't a crisp spring green or a dark autum green, this is the full bloom of summer, when the days are hot and the fruit ripe. The initial scent seemed light and playful, but it settles into something richer, deeper and more alluring. Murmure d'été is the right word, this summery scent whispers, it has subtle secrets, it doesn't need to shout. An image that keeps coming to mind is a path with tangled tree roots along the ground, crunchy pine needles on the ground, lush greenery around you, children running ahead, you have all the time in the world, life is sweet.

Tested today from discovery kit. Longevity 6 hours which I find slightly better than average for fig based scents. Projects well for first 2-3 hours then light skin scent for the rest of it's life. Very fresh and summery. Definitely reminds you of Philosykos EDT and Fico di Amalfi Very nice fragrance if you like the fig note. If not this probably won't change your mind. This is so good. I love a fig note. Mainly because it gives the vibe of coconut without smelling artificial. The fig in this fragrance is green yet sweet. It smells like an unripe or green slightly sweet coconut. It’s fruity but not in a juicy fruity way. Then the tonka and sandalwood adds a slightly creamy touch. This fragrance is very light wearing. It doesn’t project much but leaves a nice scent trail that isn’t loud or offensive. If you like philosphykos or debaser this is one to try as well. They smell similar but have differences. I feel this is the easiest to wear of the 3.

This is a rare blind buy for me as I’ve heard from multiple people that it blew the other fig fragrances out of the water, and I’m a fan of Quentin Bisch. I do agree that this is superior to Debaser and Phylosykos. I absolutely adore the balance between green, sweet and creamy - it’s just heavenly. However, it lasts only an hour on my skin before it becomes a whisper of skin scent. Definitely disappointed in the performance.

suuuper sweet fig. closest comparison i can think of is theodoros kalotinis alluring fig, but i get a bit of debaser’s sweet opening and can see this having the same heavy/humid quality that puts me off premier figuier. i don’t get enough green freshness for it to feel similar to philosykos. not bad but has enough qualities of scents i’m not crazy about to make me wary.

The opening of Murmure d'Été by Plume Impression presents a milky fig note that leans slightly green rather than sweet. It feels fresh and somewhat creamy without becoming heavy or syrupy. As the fragrance develops, something in the drydown gives me an unexpected impression. It reminds me slightly of the drydown in Ganymede by Marc‐Antoine Barrois. I’m not saying the two fragrances smell alike, they definitely don’t—but they seem to share a certain tonal quality that gives me that association. Overall, it’s a fragrance that feels versatile enough to be worn year-round. The composition is well done, but in the end it simply wasn’t something that resonated with me personally. Scent: 7/10 | Longevity: 7.5/10 | Projection: 6.5/10 | Overall: 6.5/10

Too oily creamy fig and sandalwood with an undercurrent of plasticity.

If you get mostly pickles from Santal 33, you’ll most likely get it here too. I guess I just cannot do Australian Sandalwood because it always = pickles!

It's a clean smelling, almost laundry-like fig, sandalwood. However, too cloying, too fruity for my liking.

This is my favourite fig fragrance, I don’t normally gravitate to fig. I can find it too earthy on my skin and not enough flesh or fruit. This perfume is everything I want, it has a natural sweetness that is complemented by a green leaf aspect at the start. Then as it settles more on my skin the fleshy, fruity aspect of the fig starts to bloom. It keeps that natural sweetness and smells so addictive to me. I can’t stop smelling myself, my only concern is the longevity. I get around 3 hours and then it becomes a skin scent. I am not sure if I get a bit nose blind as sometimes I catch whiffs of it later. So it may be my nose, I am happy to re-apply as I love it so much!

I like this a lot. Smells great really opens up in the heat we have over 40 degrees in the summer. It’s just that it’s a one hour maybe 90 minutes or so fragrance. So if ur meeting someone for a quick lunch or coffee. A supermarket run. It’s really limited by that short longevity. For the price I find it difficult at $210 maybe at $70-80. Alternatively, a less refined but still beautiful fig which can last and project PR’s Ichnusa never fails. Now that for around the same price I can live with.

Kind of a beginner in the perfume world, but this is one of the best things I’ve ever smelled. The first spray is a bit too green for my liking, but it dries into this wonderfully complex blend of wood and fig. One spray lasts all day, though it’s a subtle scent and doesn’t have much sillage. There’s an almost incense-like quality that it adopts on my skin but not in a way that is overpowering at all. It’s just such a unique blend.

Stunning! I bought a full-size. The weight of the bottle and design is also more high-end than expected The scent is perfect. I love every note, granted I am a fan of green notes but even those on the fence I would give this a try. It's green in the most balanced and natural way. I have been wearing it in the winter paired with indigo nest or lavender cloud by Frenshe, and it still works.

To me this is the same fig molecule that smells like grilled bell pepper to my nose, just like Debaser from DS&Durga. I prefer this one over the latter because it smells more natural, the strong musk in Debaser makes it smells like the insecticide spray has not been washed off the vegetable. Either way, I don't feel like smelling like a grilled veggie.

lovely fig for warm weather. Not lactonic but there's definitely a creaminess to it. Maybe just the teensiest bit on the more feminine side and v v nice. Works perfectly well in Inbetween weather (it doesn't have to be hot to get the best from this fragrance).

The opening is almost identical to Diptyque Philosykos EDT. Gorgeous green, milky fig. The dry down turns sweet and almost even a bit gourmand. Like a figgy sugar cookie. Longevity was unfortunately mid. But it is beautiful.
