This is definitely a unique scent; and I wouldn't say that it is mass appealing. It is a scent that is very green, but green in a vegetal sense, rather than an herbaceous or floral sense. It belongs in the same category of fragrance as Vert Boheme, Vert de Fleur, Jardin sur Nil, Jardin sur le Toit, etc. But, it absolutely could not be a dupe for any of those fragrances. There is a distinct terroir to this fragrance. You can smell something that seems like soil, with the green of the vegetation of the fragrance, and a note that adds warmth. The soil has a mineral quality to it, that is slightly bracing, and brings a refreshing quality to the fragrance. And, the vegetal quality is dry, yet refreshing in the way that stepping to a stall of freshly picked tomatoes or melons at a farmer's market might be. Overall, the scent is reminiscent of what it is like to step into a vegetable garden in the springtime sun. The note that adds warmth is somewhat like cinnamon, spicy and somewhat powdery . . . . although, it is extremely subtle (in a way that I feel cinnamon couldn't be) and a background player to the overall fragrance. I think that this is a truly lovely fragrance. But, I don't think that it's everyone's cup of tea. Still, this is a very unique green fragrance, and I enjoy it quite a bit.
