Pink Lace

A definition of Irony: "an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected." (from dictionary.com) Why do I provide this meaning?! Because Pink Lace is my least favorite in the "Lace" Collection so far, and I thought it'd be my favorite! It goes on with a very strong medicated cherry chapstick smell; I almost washed it off, but I hung in there because these scents do evolve from top notes to heart notes fairly quickly, IMO. After about 15 minutes, it reminded me of Swee-Tarts candy, which I dislike. Finally, after about an hour, the yummy vanilla began to assert itself more, and now it smells as advertised: "airy vanilla extract note of our Vanille accord pairs with the ivory-tinged warmth of antique lace and lingering notes of sweet berries." As far as I can tell, lace has no smell, but that's fine with me; and further, "Antique lace" just conjures up smells of must and mothballs in my head, anyway. To sum up: If you like 1. medicated cherry chapstick 2. Swee-tarts candy, and/or 3. berry-sweetened vanilla; then you will most likely enjoy this scent. As for me...moving on to the next.
