Twice to Tea

as someone who drinks at least two cups of tea a day, i can guarantee that this perfume smells exactly like a freshly brewed cup of london fog tea. it is no surprise that poesie sells tea as well. they absolutely nailed this london fog scent and i am blown away. wearing this while drinking a cup of london fog will make you feel and smell amazing. you get the most delicious earl grey scent mixed with lavender vanilla syrup. there is also a milky note that is paired wonderfully with the earl grey. this scent is very realistic just like all of their other scents. it is certainly gourmand and it will have you smelling like you spilled a cup of london fog on yourself. i love this scent so much and will definitely be repurchasing! ♡

This was the initial reason why I found poesie and wanted to try their perfumes: a london fog inspired perfume! Im a barista and my favorite drink of all time is a london fog with lavender syrup and brown sugar. This perfume did not disappoint! Oh my god, I dont know how they did it, but poesie nailed the smell! It is spot on, it smells exactly like how I make it! When it is first applied it is very tea forward, but as it settles, it becomes a milky, vanillay sweet scent. The lavender is there, but subtle and sweet, its perfect. Wish it was a biiiiit more strong, but it lasted me a while at work! wish it was projected a biiit more but other than that, so unique, so well done, and even slightly sensual! Love love love

I was scared with the lavender I thought it would overpower but this is actually an extremely elegant and photorealistic earl grey latte scent! Its almost like I can taste the tea in my mouth. As others said, it is pretty close to skin and I do have to sniff my skin to smell it, so this is definitely a 'your skin but better' type of fragrance. But overall the scent itself is incredible!!

The most realistic London Fog scent. So dreamy with the lavender note. Lasts incredibly long as it is an oil. I notice a lot of people say they only smell the lavender... as a barista I’ve made dozens of london fogs daily and this certainly is a true Earl grey scent.

Herbaceous lavender soaked in dank Earl Grey tea and sweet vanilla-infused milk. Smells like the first exhale after sipping a cup. The astringency (camphoraceousness?) caught me off guard at first but it's steadily grown on me. Incredibly relaxing scent.

Just received mine in the mail today (I got the EDP) and I’m already in love. Twice to Tea smells exactly like a London fog. It is a bit sweeter than I would have liked but that’s just nitpicking. This is going to become my entire personality.

a delicious and realistic earl grey fragrance with the beautiful addition of milk and lavender adds to the overall sweetness. A truly beautiful london fog-esque scent that has good longevity and projection for an oil. Definitely recommend.

I drink London Fogs all the time and this smells EXACTLY like one! It's genuinely insane how close this scent is. Definitely a favorite of mine.

I am not a fan of very sweet scents and this is the perfect amount of sweet. It’s so cozy. I wear this most nights before bed.

This is THE Earl Grey scent. It straight up smells like a London Fog latte I love it so much.

The open is a bright, saccharine lactonic, and very photorealistic to the way I take some of my teas: sticky sugary and brimming with cream. The lavender is not as present on the nose for me right away; I'm getting more of the milk sugars and maybe a hint of bergamot, but this pulls more towards an english breakfast latte at first with the mild citrus of ceylon teas. Still sweet and delicious, but if I want a completely photorealistic london fog, I'm going to go with Arielle Shoshana's Monday. The vanilla and citrus (and a touch of lavender) do begin to come out after a few minutes, but the scent fades down to mostly vanilla with a mild lactonic within an hour or two; not a bath-and-bodyworks vanilla, though, this is really inoffensive. Almost no sillage, I have to have my nose right up to my skin to smell this. And since its dominant notes are milk and sugar, it works well as a my-skin-but-better scent, but I can't imagine using enough of it to have any sort of presence to wear out without it getting cloying. Save this one for daytime wear or quiet nights in, and expect to reapply, but it is a nice, unobtrusive, gentle gourmand, and I'll be sad when my sample runs out although I'm not sure I'll rebuy.

As a tea note enthusiast, I've always searched for a perfect fragrance that emulates a cup of earl grey with cream and sugar. This is such a realistic, creamy london fog tea latte scent with the perfect hints of lavender and creaminess that is utterly decadent and comforting. Poesie's scents need a bit of time to sit before usage: I've found that with my bottle sitting over the last few weeks, it's developed further into the sweeter, creamier portion of the london fog (which I do wish was a little less sweet due to personal preference, but it's well-done). INCREDIBLY long lasting: I can wear this for a whole day working in a coffee shop and I'll still be smelling this on myself hours after. I wish the sillage was a bit better, but it's closeness makes it such an intimate, comforting scent. Just like nursing a cup of tea on a rainy day. I personally love layering this with Escentric Molecule's Molecule 01+ Black tea to smell like a perfect cup on cold days. This is a must-have for me.

I like this scent more than I dislike it, but it confuses me a bit. I definitely smell the tea in there, but it primarily reminds me of some lotion that I used to smell on my mom - possibly Pond's cold cream? There is also a mysterious sharp, slightly camphorous note that pierces through the others and bothers me a bit. It turns what would otherwise be a very serene, lovely skin scent into something slightly off-putting. I am intrigued by this mystery and keep sniffing my wrist to try to figure it out in case my mind changes when I understand it. Is it a recreation of tannins from over-steeped tea? Is it an especially zesty bergamot, or an exceptionally herbaceous lavender? Overall, I would say that I see no reason not to try it when samples of the perfume oil are so affordable. I'm happy to support Poesie as they are a cruelty free indie brand with some lovely fragrances.

I agree with Unearthly. The top is complete camphorous lavender. Very fresh and herbaceous. I do love lavender. But it has no feel of Earl Grey for me at first. Then, as Poesie does, they mutate. They change. And the astringent quality calms as the fragrance calms you. This would be a great one to do yoga or meditate with. As it dries down it still doesn't get to a place of Earl Grey for me. It just gets a little sweeter, smoother and rounded.

As a tea lover, I was ecstatic when I first received Twice to Tea in the oil dropper. Unfortunately, I (and none of my peers) can't detect any Earl Grey in it (maybe Green tea, but it's still quite weak). I nevertheless like the dry down - it's sweet and comforting, though it can become cloying. All in all, it isn't a bad scent (a few of my friends absolutely love the dry down), just not the punch of tea I was looking for.

Very mild, sweet lactonic with touches of lavender and powder. Basically zero sillage, I have to have nose to skin pretty much to smell it, but I don’t mind with this note profile; it’s almost a my-skin-but-better scent and could easily layer under many of my favorite perfumes to transition day to night.

Gives fresh brewed London Fog Latte, which hands down my favorite beverage in the fall and winter. I bought it on a whim after doomscrolling through perfume reddit looking for a starter perfume oil that was tea scented. Its a staple in my collection.

not a huge gourmand person but am a freak for a good london fog. this is dead on. is almost a bit too sweet for me to wear casually, more for bedtime or cozy fall sweater vibes. performs pretty close to the skin but the lavender projects the most

The most accurate earl grey wearble fragrance I've ever smelled. Unfortuney but understandably the performance is so poor. You are essentially wearing it for yourself.

Unfortunately gives me a little bit of a sickly vibe. I'm a huge earl grey tea fan. I'm a huge London fog fan. This is very similar to another tea scent that was a total miss for me - Elysian Lavender Milk Tea. It's a bummer and I wonder if it's something with my nose, or with my skin? I swear I got the vision in a passing whiff at one point, but on my skin it just does not work.

I’ve been searching for the perfect London fog scent, and I really thought I’d found it with this one. Unfortunately, every time I get just a single whiff of this it makes my head hurt. It’s nailed the creamy lactonic, touch of lavender, base of tea and bergamot that I was looking for, but something about it is very off putting.

my first impression of this is that it smells like honey or beeswax with lavendar and strongly steeped tea leaves. there's something about this that I don't really like. It almost smells kind of stale and musty? It's like if the tea was steeped for way too long and it's been sitting on a dusty table.

This is a nice tea scent. Fully unisex to me. I don't feel that this one gives me anything extra than my other tea fragrances. But it's still nice.

Literally just vanilla + milk. Disappointing. I did learn I do like lactonic scents though!

Smelt mostly lavender & something else that I did not like... it’s a very intimate scent the projection & sillage isn’t there. Wasn’t a fan of this. I was super bummed. Nothing about it make it worth buying to me & wouldn’t recommend. Scent was subpar, spillage subpar, it did last a decent while but when it doesn’t smell good that’s a bad thing.

i feel absolutely crazy... but i get no smell from this at all?? it’s odd! my little vial of “innocence” also only smells very vaguely sweet. my vial of “madar” is fantastic though. all my other perfumes smell normal too so i don’t think it’s me. i’m torn because i wanted to love this so much! the notes sound lovely, really love the idea of a lactonic earl grey :-(

I’ve tried this fragrance a few times now and it still confuses me. After the first initial whiff, I definitely got earl gray and medicinal lavender but once the fragrance settles there’s this sort of woodsy quality to it. I don’t know if the woody notes are sandalwood or vetiver but it’s prominent and reminds me of Maison Louis Marie No. 04 Bois de Balincourt (Santal 33 realm) but with lavender.

On my skin, all I smelt was lavender. After a while, it started to change into something softer but the lavender always remained in the background. In the words of my father, "it smelt like a toilet." It's an intimate scent with almost no sillage.
