Amber Gold For Men

Let me be direct and clear with my personal opinion. This perfume has the best smell that my nose has ever sensed. It has a luxurious woody smell that I cannot find in any other fragrance. It's also very cheap. I can't believe that this cheap fragrance could be the best fragrance in the world. The only negative side is it doesn't project well.

I like this Amber Gold. It's a cool, fresh, musky everyday scent, and for the low price it offers good value for money. Top notes are mild citrus, edging more toward a gentle lemon than orange or bergamot - the citrus is fresh and uplifting rather than a specific quality of fragrance. The middle and base notes offer the main fragrances, which is musk, wood, and vanilla, along with a quiet, understated, sexy warmth. The scent remains close to the body, so is discrete and intimate. It's a cologne or eau de toilette format, so doesn't linger all day, but is good for several hours. Can be bought for between £13 and £16 if shopping in the right places. And the bottle is quite cool looking. All in all, a good value, fresh, sensual, everyday scent. Not sophisticated enough for evenings or special events, though could pass at a pinch. Ideal for freshening up, and for spraying on the pillows and sheets at night.

This is an hidden gem from a brand that does not have anything to crave about. This is probably their best thing. A dry and dusty amber fragrance that can remind you of masterpieces such as Ambre Sultan and Ambre 114. This is like a stripped down version of those. Monochromatic, static, but great and comforting. For the price, not bad at all.

I like this perfume, a warm woody-amber vanilla scent. The initial citrus notes fade as it dries down. Nothing ground breaking, but a great everyday cheapie. Completely unisex, I wear it frequently. My only issue is the performance - although it lasts long on the skin, even with heavy overspray there is no sillage.

It is warm, slightly woody and spicey. My skin seemed to soak it in and drink it up. Though intimate, it wasn't a whisper. I could distinctly smell it on my arm if I put it near my face. I would get wafts of amber here and there while cooking, so it has a little projection from the counter to my nose. It turned into a skin scent 2.5 hours in. Seems like it would layer nicely. It can stand quietly on its own, but it's nothing to write home about.
