I know there is lots of cheap perfumes that are good but I never can make myself love them.I can't feel classy when I use cheap perfume.I think there is a reason that they are cheap so they might smell cheap to other people even if I feel they smell good When I read good reviews about police forbidden I never wanted to buy it.I know you think that I think very childish but I was shy to search for and order a police perfume.all my other perfumes are Chanel,Dior,Lancome,Yves saint Laurent,guerlain and some Valentino and Thierry mugler and armani and niche perfumes and I love when people ask what is your perfume,I feel good to name this brands I saw police forbidden when I went to try Dior absolutely blooming.I saw it was sitting in a shelf in a corner of mall that there was not many people.There was other police perfumes too and some other cheap brands.I went there quickly and sprayed it on my scarf and run away to Dior part.it smell was so good that I was in love in the first moment but I was thinking that I am a good costumer of this shop.sales ladies always say that I have a very high class taste so I was shy to buy it.I went home.it lovely smell stay around me for a day and I can smell it on my scarve after a week.I don't have many perfumes with this much longevity and sillage.that day my friends said that I smell great and it's best perfume of me.one of my friends who is a perfume collector asked is it Dior hypnotic poison? I said yes.she said it's strange because I don't like hypnotic but it's lovely on you After that day I was always thinking about police forbidden. It's ugly plastic bottle and it's lovely smell.I had to choose between police forbidden and my beliefs and lifestyle.I divorced my first husband because of this fancy beliefs but now I'm not 18 I'm more than thirty. Finally police forbidden was winner.I went back to mall,sprayed it on one hand and sprayed hypnotic poison on other hand.I say myself go and buy hypnotic poison as usual.pay more but stay a classy queen.I had hypnotic poison before.I liked it but not love.police forbidden is very similar but better.I don't know why but it's much better for me.finally I went and said loudly:I want five box of police forbidden It's a vanilla perfume,a very soft caramelly almondy and sweet vanilla with cream-like flowers and woods.it's warm,sweet but not childish.very very very sexy and delicious.not cheap very high quality.It's like a dream.best perfume of my life.five bottles are enough for my life because it's strong.only cheap thing about it is it's bottle and price My friends,co workers,costumers and strangers all say that it's amazing and now I proudly say that it's police forbidden.I use it and I still feel like a classy queen Thank you police forbidden because you teach me and give me self confidence to be myself 10/10

متاسفانه من همیشه طرز فکر خاصی داشتم که بهم اجازه نمی داد سمت عطرهای ارزون قیمت و برندهای گمنام برم.حتی اگر حس می کردم بوی خوشایندی دارند باخود می گفتم حتما ارزان بودنشون دلیلی داره و دیگران متوجه چیپ بودنش میشن.تمام عطرهای من همیشه شنل دیور لانکوم ایوسن لورن گرلن ولنتینو و تری موگلر و عطرهای نیش بودند.بااینکه ریویوها و نظرات عالی درباره پلیس فربیدن خوانده بودم اما قصد خریدش را نداشتم.شاید کودکانه بنظر برسه اما حتی از سرچ کردن و سفارشش هم خجالت می کشیدم روزی رفته بودم دیور ابسولوتلی بلومینگ را امتحان کنم و چشمم در گوشه دورافتاده فروشگاه به پلیس فربیدن و چند عطر ارزان دیگر افتاد.وقتی مطمئن شدم کسی در ان اطراف نیست بخاطز غلبه کنجکاوی باعجله به ان سمت رفتم و عطر را روی روسریم اسپری کردم و سریعا به طرغ قسمت دیور برگشتم.از همان لحظه اول شیفته زیبایی این عطر شدم اماحتی تصور خریدش را نمی کردم چون از مشتری های خوب انجا بودم و بخاطر خریدهای همیشگی و گران قیمتم فروشنده ها همیشه از سلیقه لوکس من تعریف میکردن.فکر می کردم با همچین خریدی آبروم میره.اون روز دوستانم از عطرم تعریف کردن و گفتن این بهترین عطرت هست.یکی که کلکسیونر و عطرباز هست پرسید که دیور هیپنوتیک پویزن زدی؟من هم سریع جواب دادم آره.گفت عجیبه چون من از هیپنوتیک خوشم نمیاد اما تو که زدی چقد شیک و قشنگه به مدت یک روز کامل بوی زیبای عطرم را حس می کردم و تا یک هفته روی روسریم موند همچین ماندگاری و پخشی رو من تابحال ندیده بودم تا مدتها فکرم مشغول پلیس فربیدن بود.باید بین یک عطر و یک لایف استایل انتخاب می کردم آن هم من که بخاطر عقاید اشرافی و فنسی قید همسرم را هم زده بودم.باورنکردنی بود اما در نهایت پلیس فربیدن برنده شد! برگشتم به فروشگاه تا پلیس و هیپنوتیک را مقایسه کنم.حسی به من می گفت دیور را بگیر و همان ملکه اشرافی و لوکس باقی بمون.من قبلا هم هیپنوتیک پویزن را داشتم.دوسش داشتم اما نه خیلی.فربیدن شبیه هست اما خیلی خیلی بهتر.آخر سر رفتم صندوق و بدون خجالت گفتم پنج تااز عطر پلیس فربیدن می خوام فربیدن یک عطر وانیلی هست.وانیل شیرین و سافت و کاراملی و بادومی با گلها و چوب های خامه ای.گرم و شیرین و خوشمزه و بسیار سکسی.حتی ذره ای بچگانه و چیپ نیست.خیلی باکیفیت و خوشبو و پخش و ماندگاری باورنکردنی.تنها چیز چیپی که داره شیشه زشت و پلاستیکی ان و قیمتش هست اما خودش بهترین عطر دنیاست. (صدتومن هست.صدمیل) دوستانم همکارها مشتریها حتی غریبه ها ازش تعریف می کنن و میگن عطرت عالی هست.شیک و خوشبو و سکسی و الان انقد جسارت دارم که به همه معرفی کنم مخصوص پاییز و زمستان هست اما تا وقتی که هوا خیلی گرم نباشه همیشه قابل استفاده هست. پنج تا هم برای کل عمرم کافی هست چون خیلی قوی هست این عطر درس بزرگی به من داد و به من این اعتماد به نفس را داد که خودم باشم ۱۰/۱۰

Being fussy about almond, I was a bit nervous about how Forbidden would fare. Almond should smell either like confectionary (fudgy, moreish) or homemade almond milk (refreshing, delicate). Those profiles are diametrically opposed and that’s a versatility I appreciate in almonds. Whereas I detest everything in between, yup, I’m monolithic like that lol. Instant love, wow! Such a cozy almond paste scent. Sandalwood and jasmine impart a clean, flower water-like (for baking) background close to marzipan recipe – the latter differs from almond paste, partly because it traditionally contains rose water, at least in Germany. I guess that lovely flowery addition prevents me from becoming tired of that sweet treat. Furthermore, appeared a familiar, milky caramel chord I couldn’t pinpoint straight away but made me feel great. In the end, I identified the dulce de leche pudding note from Paco Rabanne Pure XS For Her, I previously described as followed: “[...] caramel custard cooking slowly on low heat, with wobbly consistency, silky texture and creamy toffee aroma”. Interestingly, that caramel dessert note was supposedly conveying popcorn – as a result, perhaps some of you would associate both frags with popcorn. Very comforting, 24/7. Also, fantastic for layering: * The not-too-sweet marzipan aspect of Body Shop Almond Body Butter is Forbidden’s companion of choice. Why is that body butter discontinued, why? I got it from an outlet village. * Makes Montale Sweet Oriental Dreams more palatable, by softening that sharp rose and accompanying the candied almonds. * Mollifies the indolic jasmine from Al Rehab Full in the best way possible: this association was inspired by Bvlgari Jasmin Noir and Lancôme Jasmins Marzipane. Jasmine is already present in Forbidden but not as a main antagonist. Marzipan and jasmine just pair beautifully! One of my top favorite blind-buys so far. Last note: not a fan of Dior Hypnotic Poison and don’t find much in common with Forbidden.

I've already reviewed this one,but now that I've bought it last week and I've been wearing it since then,I think I have to write a second review for this underrated gem I bought a 3.4 oz bottle of police forbidden for 28 bucks and unbelievably It has been my go to perfume in last two weeks.among more than 250 perfumes and more than this decants and samples,I craved this gorgeous every evening When I first tried it,I couldn't see similarities with hypnotic poison but now I can detect lots of similarities,forbidden can be love child of dior's HP and a Jasmine dominant scent,like cacharel catch me.to be honest,I prefer this to HP! This is a must try for all vanilla,caramel,almond lovers that want their gourmands with a floral twist.it's sweet and strong,but it's sweetness isn't sharp,sugary,sticky or synthetic at all.it has a buttery,caramelized sweetness and a very soft,lovely powdery quality which is mature,delicious,sexy and sensual the same time.I know there may be lots of similar scents but there is almost no reasonably priced caramel fragrance where I live(Jessica Simpson fancy,Mariah dream,BBW perfumes and ... aren't available here)so for me police forbidden is a real gem.I just love how notes blend together and melt in my skin.I feel like I'm cocooned in a warm,delicious and soothing cloud.I can also detect a hint of coconut milk in drydown.hmmmmmm It stays on my almost dry skin for more than 9 hours,sillage is almost huge during first hours like a warm and delicious cloud and after half of it's life span it becomes moderate which is acceptable for me because reformulated HP has a moderate sillage too and it stays less than this on me It's bottle is not as trashy as I've expected.it's not elegant and is made of plastic but is unique,easy to use and cute.it's better than police sinner's bottle with a similar shape IMO Needless to say I'm really satisfied with this perfume ❤❤❤❤❤

Scrumptious caramel, vanilla, almond bomb! A gourmand (and caramel) lover's dream. I fully agree with other reviewers: don't let the packaging deter you, because this is a great quality scent with performance that can shine in the Siberian winter. 💥Also hot take: This is quite a mature fragrance, suitable for office environment in cold weather as it isn't cloying, butter-heavy and super-flirtatious. From first spray you get sweet almonds and almond blossom, quite buttery but not as butter-like as 'Girl of Now' by Elie Saab for example. Fortunately on my skin it isn't 'plastic' but slightly powdery. Around the 15 minute mark the caramel and vanilla are prominent...especially the caramel. It's not sickeningly sweet or bitter like 'Pink Sugar' by Aquolina. It's just creamy & dreamy! Performance is pretty nuclear and comparable to heavy hitters such as YSL 'Black Opium'. A few sprays are enough to last, and the silage is above average. Also I love the drydown: it's a slightly masculine, sweet sandalwood. I can see why it's compared to Dior's 'Hypnotic Poison'. It really does remind me of HP! Imagine that fragrance but more frothy and sweet from the massively amped up CARAMEL...That's basically 'Forbidden' by Police. I agree this fragrance deserves all the hype. It has depth and does work well with my skin chemistry. However this isn't for me...realised I'm not into 'Hypnotic Poison' or HP-inspired scents. I'm a fan of Mavive fragrances, but my favourite almond perfume of theirs is hands-down Replay's 'Stone for Her', which is a moist bitter-almond cookie scent with a soft-masculine twist. Verdict: This is a must-buy for you gourmand (caramel) addicts out there. Also a lot of men seem to love this one too.

Not recommended if you try to refrain from eating sweets. This makes me hungry. Its that weird twisted almond overload that I was looking for, score! 18 bux for the big bottle and Im happy. It really smells like play-doh on my skin at first and i like that, its intense almond extract and a bit plastic, very almond paste-like, and then it softens up and I get more of the almond blossom so it reminds me of the Fondant fruits I was having in Europe. I get a hint of lemon throughout and the sandalwood balances the vanilla. Good thing it doesnt make me nauseous. The drydown is amazing and I mainly get caramel,vanilla, almond blossom. Idnt know if I can treat this one as a perfume, like ya know our ordinary floral perfumes, cuz it smells so edible but I love it, and considering Im not a gourmand fan, I have the 90s mentality where a perfume has to be floral or fruity floral. But almond treats are a big thing where im from in my culture so perfumes with almond are instant loves for me. This is the best representative, not sickly sweet, not too warm, but fresh and rich, its addicting. I also pair it with soft floral perfumes like Bliss by Symetrie which has bad longevity and the combo smells wonderful. But on its own its fantastic. Ill also try the one from Misguided. Thanks for the good reviews on this cuz... fragrantica made me buy it hehe. Update: There! I got me almond bars lol. After wearing it out I have to say its becoming one of my top favs and I can def treat it as a perfume. It doesnt smell like a bakery anyway which is good for me.

MMMMMMMMMM!! Found this finally! Ordered it from Perfume Click from the UK. The price was pretty good too. :) Ok... first... yeah... I get the comparison to the original Hypnotic Poison. I should say I like the newest EDP of HP better because it's simple and stunning. Dark smoky powdery vanilla. The original EDT of HP is still a favorite, but it's more complex and odd, and in the case of HP I find the simplicity stunning- which I why I prefer the EDP. Forbidden is HP but simple and stunning. Like a soft powdery almond vanilla cookie. Just lovely. Dainty and pleasant. It's by no means a copy/replacement for HP EDT... but if you like the HPs, you will love Forbidden. I'm a gourmie nut, and this is like one of those powdered sugar almond cookies at Xmas! I do get strong alcohol in the first blast... let it dry. :) I also highly recommend Dark by Police. So I gave this a very proper wear... and.... I LOVE IT! OMG!!!! If you use enough, and freshen it up 1-2x, it lasts all day long. And it's sooo delicious. Picky perfumers may find this too sweet or synthetic, or nothing like HP.... because it is.... it can be... It's just a sweet shade of HP, but I find it wonderful. HP is deep and complex, and dry/sweet with that play-doh feel. Forbidden is just powdery sweet almond cookie. And it's comforting and delicious and I must have more! I used a Philosophy Almond Glaze Donut body wash/shampoo and then wore this perfume all day, and I was a happy girl! <3 <3 Made me forget winter is here in Michigan. ;)

Police Forbidden really is a good Hypnotic Poison EDT dupe for a great price. I personally even like it better than HP. Forbidden is a little sweeter overall, and it has a softer opening. To me the opening of HP is sharp and rubbery, so much that I disliked the perfume for years even though what comes later is beautiful. Maybe that rubber note was more pronounced in the older versions, maybe my dislike was also because I had a classmate who oversprayed it. Anyways, Forbidden doesn't have that note. Otherwise, both scents are very similar on my skin. So how does this smell like? Very vanillic and almondy and sweet. I think there must be some tuberose to support the jasmine note, as there is in HP. This intoxicating white floral accord is what gives the fragrance that special alluring, airy creamyness and keeps it from being just a generic almond-vanilla gourmand. So hard to find the right words for that note. It's cozy and sexy and ladylike at once. I can not smell the warm stickyness of caramel here and I'm fine with that. Apart from smelling good, this perfume also lasts as long as any good designer scent. If I didn't have my beloved and super expensive Keiko Mecheri Datura Blanche, which is a different, more refined and more floral scent, but also in the same family with PF and HP, I would buy this lovely cheapie. Definitely recommended for all gourmand lovers who can get over the kitschy bottle.

Oh my god, this is absolutely delicious. Creamy, milky, buttery almond biscuit goodness in a delightfully tacky white and gold bottle. I was originally put off by the gaudy bottle and kitsch packaging, however with a dreamy list of all my favorite notes, how could I resist? Just as I was about to buy it, Forbidden suddenly fell off the face of the Earth and I couldn't find it anywhere in the UK. However, I prevailed! A nearly full 100ml bottle was up for sale for the pretty cheap price of £20 and I knew it had to be mine. Oh boy, was she worth the wait. ♥ Opening spray is smooth almond milk, irresistible vanilla, melted caramel all rounded out with light almond blossom and a creamy sandalwood dry down. Thankfully I don't get any lemon. Forbidden is a total wrist sniffer and I was rolling in the compliments even in this humid heat. MIL told me I smelt like cookies. Friend told me I smelled *really* yummy and demanded that I write down what I was wearing. If Forbidden smells this good in this sticky Summer we're having right now, I can't even imagine what she smells like in Autumn/Winter. Boyfriend pulled me in for a hug earlier, dug his nose into my neck and went "Wow, you smell good." He pointed out the almond and vanilla straight away. I have fallen head over heels for this gourmand lover's dream. What a gorgeous, sensual, feminine perfume!

Received my bottle of Police Forbidden didn't go much on the bottle presentation but what for it ..........WOW. I read the reviews and gees it smell soooo similar to Hypontic poison which is my favourite fragrance of all time. It's been a while since I have purchased a bottle of Hypontic Posion but one spray and the memories come flooded back. It's not exact missing the woody smoky essence but I would say it's throws the almond scent more which I love so dearly with hypnotic poison. So if you purse strings are tight and you want the closest fragrance to Hyponyic poison grab a bottle of this perfume of course different skin chemistry makes the fragrance but it's no different on mine. No cheap chemical plastic smell that sometimes throws with the almond scent. I have pink sugar and it smells nothing like it that's more a burnt fairy floss smell which I love also and you do get the caramel creamiess but does not distract from the almond notes still love my Dior Hyponyic poison but damn this is good too pass by for the price. Just love my sweet candy scents gourmand lover❤️

❤ My first perfume was Poison in 1996 by christian dior but my second love was Hypnotic poison that became my signature scent for the next 20 yrs along with Hypnotic poison eau de parfum. In the 90s early 2000s Hypnotic poison was a more play doh scent that I adored. As the yrs went by it became more root beer smell and lost much of the play doh note. Well honestly this is almost an absolute dupe of hypnotic poison in its early yrs play doh scent. I'm over the moon to find this perfume and can relive this love. For fans of the original Poison purple bottle formula, the dupe is Cobra oil by al rehab. Saves spending a fortune on a original vintage bottle. Also I'm not sure what yr hypnotic poison reformulated but the play doh scent was in a plasticky style bottle, same shape then when it was repackaged back to solid glass like the other flankers it had that strong root beer smell which is not as desirable to me. As always they kill a perfume when they reformulate it especially Dior! ❤🥰 hope this review helps Hypnotic poison fans.

Wow. Well, I wasn ́t expecting this at all. I wanted to blind buy this perfume before becouse of the great reviews but I decided to buy other, more expensive pefume becouse I thought that it ́s cheap and I probably won ́t like it. I never have seen a tester at any drugstore untill yeasterday. So I ́ve tested it and OMG. Firsteval, It ́s not HP dupe at all. They share maybe 5% of DNA in it ́s warmness. HP is much less sweet, more powdery and sophisticated. This, on the other hand is sweet almond BOMB. But it smells good, really good. I have a feeling as I ́ve definitely smelled this a long time ago. I was forced to sniff the paper strip all the time. It ́s very very interesting and I really am considering buying this, but I will probably test it few more times to be sure b/c i don ́t want to be irritated by it later as it happens to me often when I buy some perfume in a rush so I need to keep myself on a leash :) So: If you are looking for a Dior ́s HP dupe - NO , if you love sweet sweet gourmand scents - HELL YAS!

I was surprised to see this as I didn't hear anything about its release (they always market the men's Police heavily at chemist warehouse Australia but not the women's). I have to admit I'm quite partial to police fragrances. I love both To Be Queen and To Be King. King is actually my favourite. I asked to try this on a test strip & the second the scent hit the air I fell in love with it. I tested it on my skin but I already had my money out ready to purchase. Another customer standing in the vicinity was on a phone call, she ripped her phone away & came diving over saying "what is that?! It's amazing!" It is exactly what it appears in the notes Almondy vanillary sultry sweet yumminess! It's Beautifully blended. I do love my gourmands but the richer deeper ones. I like some warmth. I've noticed quite a bit of perfume snobbery when it comes to Police because they are so reasonably priced, but I personally only care for the scent. When it's good it's good and this ones scrumptious.

I definitely get Hypnotic Posion at first blast, but it soon turns sweeter...brighter yet still deep and cozy. As soon as I sprayed it, my son asked me, "What's that smell?" When I asked him what it smelled like, he said, "It smells like really really sweet fruit." Apparently that's 7-year-old speak for, "you smell really good!" Almond, vanilla, a little star anise (not listed but that licorice vibe is there!) and a touch floral. Root beer, but a root beer I surprisingly enjoy. So yes, same vibe as HP, which I liked but couldn't wear because it made me queasy. I don't know what the precise differences are in Forbidden, but I'm in love! I really think it's a bit sweeter and a bit lighter/fresher, but again, still deep. Oh, I know! It reminds me of a cross between HP and Kenzo Amour. That's it! Longevity is forever and projection is strong. I can't wait to wear this in winter.

This is incredible! I am blown away by how similar this is to Hypnotic Poison, which happens to be one of my favourite perfumes! It really does smell like it! I tested the similarities by having this on one hand and HP on the other. Obviously HP is more complex, more notes, better quality etc, but if I am honest, I actually prefer this! It is slightly sweeter and lasts so much longer, which pleasantly shocks me. The almond and vanilla are very prominent, but i'm not really smelling the caramel. I don't care though, cos it really is perfect the way it is. It lasts and lasts, I could still smell it the next day, and sillage is huge! It's like a huge powdery almond cloud wafting around me! I don't need two perfumes that smell so alike, and considering the price difference (I picked this up at £18 for 100ml) and better longevity, I will now be sticking with this!!

Just.. WOW.. I own many scents.. I have to say, this is just amazing. I've had it on for about 4 hours now, and it just keeps getting better and better. Yes, very similar to Hypnotic Poison, but waaay better in my opinion, and for about 1/3 the price! I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a scent on me as much as I'm enjoying the deliciousness of this! ALSO, I work with HIGHLY scent sensitive people, who enjoy NO scent at all.. (really? all 15 of them.. lol) who for the past 3 years have never said a word about my fragrance. Today, as soon as they walked in, 2 of them commented that something smells SO good. Yes, it was me. :) This is a delicious, nutty, warm, vanilla scent that I want to lavish in and dive into.. might just become my signature scent, if only it were more easily accessible. So far, I can only order from one online source. Hmmm..

I'm not normally a gourmand lover but I do appreciate a gourmand fragrance occasionally, so finding something like Forbidden is a real bonus. This is almond, vanilla and caramel done right. Sweet but not sugary or cloying, it's a high class perfume that I picked up for the bargain basement price of $20 AUD - such good value. I definitely agree with others about the similarity to Hypnotic Poison. As an occasional gourmand fan I wouldn't buy HP, but I'd definitely recommend Forbidden as it's in the same league and won't break the bank. I've been wearing it for about three hours and it's just as prominent as when I applied it. It's also good in the hot weather, which is a bonus when you live in Australia. This one gets a big tick from me.

Wow! What a lovely thing this is! Gorgeous almond - very very true almond, with it's bitter edge, which I adore! And the delicious sweetness of the jasmine, caramel, vanilla - and the dreamy sandalwood making it all a lovely woody sweetness. Oh, it's beautiful! I can also smell what I imagine is the almond blossom (going by Fragrantica's odor profile; a lovely gentle heliotrope and herbal honey smell! Gorgeous!) It lasts very well too! Pretty well all day. Just smell it by the end, but it's really nice to spray on to give myself a lovely fresh blast every few hours. I so enjoy the bitter almond and caramel and jasmine smell. Mmmmm................!! A really lovely surprise. Well balanced - very much so. A delight to wear.

Tested it today but just on a paper and it didn't remind me hypnotic poison,not really..it was a mixture of alien essence absolue and alien taste of fragrance for me,but sweeter and more vanilla dominant..I found it a very nice cold weather fragrance regarding it's price..almond and jasmine in a caramelized vanilla base,as if Cacharel catch me is layered with a strong caramel/vanilla scent It's gourmandish but also mature..it's sensual and rich and seems to have a very good lasting and projection Gonna buy it very soon By the way I like it's bottle,it's tacky but also funny,adding a handcuff to collection,why not? ;)

Gorgeous scent. It's gourmand, a true vanilla amber scent in my opinion. I don't smell any almond - just straight up caramelly gourmand vanilla amber. It's very synthetic and very potent! Perhaps considering those factors it makes it also a little juvenile? I believe this is discontinued but BDKs vanille leather is identical, but the more adult version of this in my opinion. Gosh I really did love this fragrance, used to wear it a lot - then wore police born to shine (in the white/gold contained). Also very vanilla amber scent. But this was my original vanilla. It was a great winter fragrance in my opinion.

Yes, it's like the Hypnotic Poison and what's wrong with that , may I know? I myself can never get tired of the Almond/Jasmine/Vanilla/Sandalwood combo - it's the favorite genre of which I try to gulp everything possible. This one is different from HP in having more of Caramel. And the dry down has more Jasmine and Sandalwood , quite dear to my South Indian nose. Layered this with the HP( inspired) oil I have - swinging on the clouds of heaven...well, till tomorrow. I may reach for Hunter femme or Essenza Roberto Cavalli- to continue one similar delicious dream on a different path ...

Don't let the ridiculous bottle and low price put you off this delectable beauty. I had actually set out to buy a different, carefully chosen perfume to celebrate my 40th. The shop we went to had sold out, and while the assistant was ringing up to check stock in a nearby shop I idly sprayed this on. By the time we had reached the other shop, the warm, rich, golden almond and vanilla wafting around me with every step, it was a done deal. I went home with the $30 perfume in the tacky plastic handcuffs instead. No regrets. It's amazing, scent, sillage, longevity, everything.

Forbidden is a fantastic dupe for Dior Hypnotic Poison. I just love it & I really wish you could still find it in shops or online. What makes it slightly different from Hypnotic Poison is there is yummy coconut in the opening but it doesn't last however the beautiful intoxicating vanilla does & the longevity is impressive. I would purchase again if I find it. *Update* I finally found another bottle & I think my favourite thing about Forbidden is that it is the closest I can find to So Hooked on Carmella by Benefit which is incredible but also sadly discontinued

It is very cold here today. Only 20 degrees. And my package finally arrived! All the way from Europe. I've been trying to find this perfume forever. Anyway, I brought it home ripped it open and sprayed heavily. This stuff is a almond vanilla bomb! I absolutely love it. If you love the scent of almond, you should try this one. I can't really compare it to hypnotic poison, because I'm not even sure if I've ever smelled it. But whatever the smells like, it smells great to me! Heavenly. ❤️ Update.. Added a spray of Deep Red. They work really well together!!

Since I’m in love with Kenzo Amour and Dior Hypnotic Poison, I completely fell for this perfume. Its sweet, nutty scent is absolutely addictive — warm, sweet, vanilla-y, and nutty, like a freshly baked cake. At the same time, it has a nostalgic vibe of my childhood shampoos — Teddy Bear shampoo! Really deliciously gaudy white and gold bottle filled with delicious creamy, milky, buttery almond biscuit bliss. Almond, almond blossom, and lemon are the top notes; caramel and jasmine sambac are the middle notes; vanilla and sandalwood are the base notes. Such a lovely, sensual, feminine scent that is warm and pleasant without being childlike. warm, comfortable, and cuddly. The ideal perfume.

I love this perfume, I smell almond, milky caramel, but also i smell something sour (in a good way) at the end, maybe it's from the lemon from the notes. For me, it's kinda unique, i never smell vanilla perfume like this before. The vanilla it self not too overwhelming. Love it! Too bad it's discontinued, does anyone know a perfume tha similar like this?

Truly the Best cheapie ever, If you love sweet fragrance then most likely this fragrance would be ur New love💕 at first I hate it, but overtime this perfume growns on me. Sometimes I miss the original Hypnotic Poison, then I dig this from naphthalene ... This scent is the opening of the original Hypnotic Poison. Completely. This does not change otherwise and it is pointless to continue the comparison. As if trying to compare a bird to a milk jug, both has a beak. But ah, that beak ....

I sampled this a while back and thought I only liked her but I was given a sample today so gave her another test and wow, she is really lovely, it definitely smells like hypnotic poison but I actually love this yet only like the Dior HP. So there you go, what a pleasant surprise this one is. Love ❤

Couldn't have enough of it the first summer I got it although it is definitely not a summer scent, it's love or hate perfume IMO, funny thing is this year 2020 i got a headache spraying it, will test it in winter days to see if my love for it is still strong :)

If you loved this affordable fragrance and can no longer find it, order a bottle of Luxurious Couple by The Dua Brand. They are not exactly the same but they are strongly similar. Both of them are on my favorite fragrances shelf at home.

Omg, this smells of caramel and almond blossom. Really good. Hypnotic poison is one of my absolute favourites, and this one compliments it nicely. Adds a dense sweetness to HP, that gets you lots of complements.

Ok so this little baby has grown on me, i didn't really know how to deal with this scent but NOW i love it! It's very sticky caramel, almond scent (it really does feel sticky on the skin lol) This is so comfy❤️

An ultra sweet take on Hypnotic Poison; lots of creamy vanilla and sticky sweet caramel mixed in with the iconic HP DNA. Long-lasting, 8hrs on skin with a decent sillage. Best suited in colder weather.

This is soooo nice very similar to Hyponatic poison the EDT version from Dior however it has that sweet warm edible caramel makes it more sexy and younger .

This is stunning. Just stunning. I don’t understand whoever says that this smells like plastic. It smells cozy, cuddly and warm. The perfect fragrance.

Layer this with the current EDP of Hyp Poison, and you get the scent of the original 1998 formulation of HP EDT. WIN!

12/24/16: Happy Christmas Eve to all who celebrate! I am revising my initial review because I believe in admitting when you're wrong. This perfume was delivered to my house yesterday and sat out on the porch in 30-degree temperatures until I got home to retrieve it, which may be the reason for why it smelled one way yesterday and completely different today. I naturally tested it as soon as I got in the house, like a true Fragrantican. It was completely linear and I got nothing but a strong, choking blast of uber- sweet vanilla caramel. It smelled identical to Body Fantasies Vanilla Fantasy body spray. I was unimpressed and completely baffled by all the comparisons to Hypnotic Poison, which I love and wear often. The bottle has warmed up overnight on the shelf, and I decided to give it another shot today. Unbelievable. Five minutes or so after spritzing it on -- WOW-- Hypnotic Poison. I'm sitting here typing this in disbelief. If I were to smell this on one of my shirts in the laundry, I would assume I had worn HP that day. This is absolutely a legitimate dupe for Hypnotic Poison, with the right skin and right temperature. The slight sweetness that wears off so quickly with HP hangs around in the background with this one, so if you love HP but wish the sweetness lasted longer, you might wanna give this a try. I'm very pleasantly surprised and learned a valuable lesson: don't test new fragrances if the bottle is very cold. Let the juice warm up so all its components can meld again before trying it out. I almost let this affordable HP clone slip through my fingers onto the yard sale shelf. I do stand by my original take on the handcuff bottle: totally kitschy and I don't get the bondage theme with this scent. The bottle doesn't match the fragrance, and obviously doesn't scream mature or classy. A minor annoyance since I don't wear the bottle, but it's not one I'll proudly display on my vanity tray. It will happily live on the work-horse perfume shelf for bottles that smell great but aren't exactly lookers. This was a success for an inexpensive blind buy. On one hand, it smells just like HP which I already have; on the other hand, it's a less pricey dupe for one of my favorite perfumes.

I blind bought this because of the comparisons to Hypnotic Poison. HP is one of my favourite perfumes and one that I wear a lot in cool weather but it doesn't come cheap. I love almond fragrances too so I was hopeful I'd like this, even if it wasn't an exact dupe. On me the opening wasn't too bad... maybe I feel that way because I'd read so many reviews preparing me for a loud, synthetic mess. I don't think you can judge a perfume by those first few moments anyway. This was a loud, sweet & creamy almond & vanilla note, very similar to the opening of Hypnotic poison but amplified so I could instantly see where other reviewers were coming from. As the previous reviewer mentioned, it also has that warmth throughout. That's where the real similarities end. On me, Forbidden retains that loud almond & vanilla vibe but it becomes slightly powdery and somehow slightly oily smelling too, kind of like sun tan lotion. Others have mentioned it smelling plastic or cheap & synthetic. It does but I don't think that has to be a bad thing. It reminds me of the smell of girls make-up sets or scented toys in the 90's and I actually quite like that. Hypnotic poison becomes much more powdery, soft and refined. Forbidden tries to copy HP but lacks the class of Dior and ends up being lovely in it's own right.

I thought quite a while before buying this perfume because my other blind buys have been hit and miss. I can say that all the reviews on this perfume are correct. This definitely smells like Hypnotic poison by Dior. It's even shocking how similar they are. On my skin, Forbidden starts with warm sweet rich vanilla extract and almond blossom. The almond note smells almost like cherries on me just like in the EDP for Dior Hypnotic poison except the vanilla is deeper and richer. The caramel note mixed with the vanilla makes it smell like creme brulee, the almonds which are bitter slightly reduce the impact of the sugar which helps balance it out. What's shocking to me is that this perfume is so cheap, yet smells so rich and decadent. It even has a higher sillage than Dior for less the price! Perfect, safe blindbuy if you love Hypnotic poison but don't exactly love the price. Edited to add: This perfume has much more almond than Hypnotic poison. It makes me love it more than the Dior because I don't have another perfume with such a pronounced almond note.I can definitely say that I'll be buying this perfume for a long time to come. So warm, so rich, so delicious! It's a pleasure to wear. I love it. By the way, it's definitely sweet but it's not tooth achingly sweet!

This isn't really a review, but .... I was testing perfumes today (on paper); nothing seemed very nice so I was just throwing the strips back in my bag . . . 10 hours later, I empty my bag and omg one of these strips smells so fantastic. Reminiscent of Hypnotic Poison but VERY sweet - which is fantastic - and I am almost certain that it was Forbidden. Hopefully it is, and I can buy it!! Edit; It *was* Forbidden. . . Not sure about Hypnotic Poison, now that it's on my skin, but I do really like it. Maybe it is the almond, maybe because it is super sweet. It does smell artificial, but that doesn't bother me at all!! I'll buy a bottle but wait until the price drops Edit: now I own it, and paid nothing for it ..... well, I think my taste has changed, and I think it's because I came across a vile dupe of Hypnotic Poison. This isn't vile, but... now it does seem more synthetic; as in cheap. I am on a tiny budget, so for people like me it is great. But if you can afford to buy something better ..... actually it reminds me more of Mandorlo di Sicilia - yet ultimately, it doesn't compare. Still excited to have it, the sillage is great and it lasts quite a while. I'm sure it will be fun to layer with

Synthetic (but not offensive) almond opening with a gorgeous creamy almond-vanilla dry down. I think I’d turned my husband nose blind when I first tried this as I’d been testing quite a few and most things just smelt ‘“nice” to him. I decided this was full bottle worthy - I put it on, went into the kitchen then walked straight back out (I’d forgotten what I’d gone in there for) and as I was walking away I heard him exclaim “WOWZER! You smell nice!” That was the first time I’d ever heard him say wowzer LOL. I went back in and asked him what he thought I smelt like. “Plasticine” he said with a grin, “but a very nice plasticine!”. I think that about sums it up - and I actually love it. I can’t wait for cosy nights in autumn and winter wearing this. The dry down is so comforting and makes me want to bake something with almond in it. Plus it projects decently and lasts absolutely ages, which is amazing for the price. Very almondy vanilla oriental, a bit spicy, long lasting, bright vibe fragrance, this is. LOVE LOVE LOVE FORBIDDEN for Woman!! It is sweet but not girlish. The handcuffs bottle is cheap looking but joyfully making me want to involve in a costume play, not SM but in an innocent way. I bought 50ml at a discount fragrance shop named 'BASE' in Japan at ¥2,980 ($30). The cost performance is GREAT!!! P.S. To be able to wear POLICE FORBIDDEN on my short trip to Kyoto, on an irritatingly hot humid summer day, I layered GUERLAIN SHALIMAR COLOGNE (not the SHALIMAR Eau De Cologne), double the amount on top of POLICE FORBIDDEN. It's like a very fancy Italian sorbet dessert〜❤︎ P.P.S. I've learnt that sorbet is not originally from Italy but Ababian. WOW!! Very Oriental!!

I blind bought a 30ml bottle of this based on the reviews. Opened it up and was horrified by an overwhelming wave of synthetic sweetness, it smelled as cheap as it was. Disappointing but not devastatingly so, £14 was a loss I could afford to lose. Tried it again the next day and warmed to it...now I positively long for it after my evening bath. It's become my ultimate comfort scent, it stealthily sneaked it's way into my affections without me realising it. Step aside Cuir Beluga, there's a new kid in town! Thank you Fragrantica, without you I'd never in a million years have tried this white plastic gem.

I finally received it today (shipping from Italy), and I honestly don’t know what to make of it... I think I expected more marzipan and vanilla, more sweetness... Going to wait a few hours until the bottle gets to the room temperature (it was cold when it arrived). If it doesn’t impress me then - most likely will resell... EDITED 03/01/2020: After it warmed up it became really yummy. The very opening is still a bit synthetic and smells a bit like play dough, but it goes away fast. Reminds me of my COCONUT body butter! I know, right? No coconut listed in the notes... Nevertheless!
