Woody, not to my nose but fresh & pleasantly citrus definitivily. Reminds me of Burberry the Beat without any sweet notes or a newer spicer version for CK one with a ways better lasting power. I know Calvin Klein's fragrance are known for poor quality & bad lasting power. The bottle is the same as for Frozen & previous ones from that collection except it comes in a bright very attractive but still masculine red. Very nice. As for most eau de toilettes, spray it mainly on your clothes & do not be greedy! I usually spray 7 to 10 times on my chest as true my collar. I found out I do get a very long lasting power & do keep on smelling fragrance myself where other revieuwers write the lasting power is poor! Conclusion, a very nice & easy to wear fresh, citrus fragrance in a great bottle on a more spicy underground without any sweet notes & a pretty good lasting power when used correctly! Imust say I like the whole collection. Something I will not write for the other Police collection & horrible bottles in a form of a human skull yet a dead head! Horrible bottles though I must admit some fragrances are good but there is no way I will ever buy a bottle that's a skull. No matter how good the fragrance may be. It just looks horrible on your table, shelf or collection!

When I first got this, I thought the opening was the worst i’d ever smelled, it smelled sort of like a barbecue grill, BUT, after about an hour, it became a shockingly good, smooth vetiver/patchouli scent. The dry down is actually shockingly close to Oud for Greatness, no joke, like, 80% similar. Now, after about 6 months, the juice must have matured, because when I wore it last week, I thought the opening was like, totally inoffensive, and the dry down remained great. I got mine for literally $5, so I consider that an absolute steal. It would be worth getting at $20, if you like smooth, masculine patchouli/vetiver scents.

I think most perfume enthusiasts can't disagree with the fact that TdH was one of the the first "minimalist approached" experience in the field of woody spicy scents whit more self-indulging and less crowd pleasing quality. Police instinct is the Cheap (quality wise) knock off version of TdH ,very similar to Lomani AB Spirit Platinum, and with much worse performance than the later. It becomes a skin scent in less than five minutes (no joke!),however needles to say that the current original version of TdH in the market also lacks in the performance department making the price tag unjustifiable for someone who just wants to please the crowd. If you find a cheap deal of this (I seriously mean <10$), you can give it a go, otherwise isn't worth a penny more than that.

İt's a cross section between Terre d'Hermes and Azzaro Visit with some lack of performance. Nothing more nothing less...

Very similar to Terre d'Hermes.
