Police Dark Women

I love it when I find an amazing perfume with a reasonable price,police dark is one of those little treasures If you're into warm,sweet powdery vanilla scents don't miss it I have an old half used tester of this which it's juice is brownish(I think it's color changes after some time)but it still smells great My old tester opens with a burst of alcohol but thanks god alcohol fades in seconds and I'm left with a pleasant sweet,warm scent with a dominant boozy blackcurrent note,which is not sharp or sour as it mostly tends to be,first time I tried it it reminded me of a bit of hugo boss deep red but now the first thing that come to my mind is Armani Si,probably more Armani Si Intense specially in the first hour of application.Police Dark has the same blackcurrent-sweetness in a base of dark woodsy notes but it's less woody and more feminine than Si Intense and it has it's own unique powdery-lipsticky thing which gives it a luxurious vibe. This is not a linear scent, after some time it's sweet,a bit boozy vanilla-blackcurrent top notes take a back seat and creamy powdery-woody notes show up .I can't put my finger on specific floral notes here except iris,but I know they're there adding a soft powdery floral quality to the scent.iris is waxy here smelling like old cosmetics,it's not what I expect from a cheapie as it's feminine in a grown up, sensual way and pleasant while being unique. a caramelized vanilla starts to come closer in drydown but it's not a gourmand since there's enough of dry,slightly smokey woody notes and some vintage makeup powderyness to give it a mature,not too sweet vibe.what is most dominant on me in drydown is a warm,soft powdered vanilla with a grapey/plummy undertone with slightest hint of woods to keep it intresting and not just about vanilla.well drydown IS mostly about vanilla but a dark,mature and sensous vanilla with some powdery,balsamic,vintage,resinous facets Police dark is definitely a fall/winter scent..in heat it's sweet so make sure to try it in cold temp,is not childish atall,it's a grownup delicious oriental floral,not heavy,intresting, wearable and versatile and is definitely sexy So if you're looking for a mature,expensive-smelling sweet scent try Police Dark. Longevity is very good(+6 hours) but sillage is not that heavy(still more than moderate)but I'm not sure about the exact performance because of my aged juice,when I tried it from a new tester bottle in a perfume shop it seemed to last even longer and project better.I'm gonna buy a new bottle as soon as this finishes and write my second review on basis of a new one ❤❤❤❤ یه شباهت‌هایی به آرمانی سی اینتنس داره همون ترکیب انگورفرنگی سیاه و شیرینی وانیل تو زمینه‌ای چوبی و تیره ولی تو پلیس دارک غلبه‌ی نت‌های چوبی کمتره درنتیجه زنانگی بیشتری داره.پلیس‌دارک تو ساعت اول اسپری شدن،عمدتا انگورفرنگی سیاه و وانیله.رایحه‌ای کاملا شیرین و دلنشین،اما در ادامه شیرینیش کمی ملایمتر میشه و روایح چوبی و پودری هم به میدان میان و گاهی میشه زنبق رژلبی هم ازش گرفت.درمجموع اگه دنبال یه عطر شیرین ولی بالغ با رایحه گرون‌قیمت‌طور هستید امتحانش کنید

Holy sh*t, this is wonderful! Woodsy, powdery vanilla, sweet, spicy/smoky a bit, a bit of soapy floral. This is what I wanted Ange du Demon to be! It's warm yet dry, soft yet thick. I agree it's totally intoxicating and cozy yet sensual. If this was EDP potent, you'd swear it's Dior or Givenchy! But alas, it's an EDT and I find the potency and longevity to be average. Sillage seems pretty weak? Which is a bummer because I really do love this. It's elegant in a sweet way, a beautiful scent for a winter formal affair. Not that I want to limit or define it's use. I'm wearing it to bed tonight because it just came in the mail. ;) I'm all about the gourmands, and this is not quite... but it's along the same feel of Shalimar, Hypnotic Poison, xoxo Heartbeat... vanilla with oomph. An interesting perfume for sure! This was a blind buy, but it popped up on my radar awhile back... was somewhat hard to find cheap in the U.S. I finally got for $25 from Scented Monkey. I have a few Police scents, and they don't really impress me. I have To Be Queen, Passion, and To be Woman. I'm dying to find Forbidden in the U.S. This impresses me. :) Ugh, if only it were stronger on me. Overall, I do highly recommend! Today, a proper wear to work, mostly sprayed on clothing. I love this. Truly absolutely love this. It's unique to me. I'm still crushed it's not more potent, but damn... I'm going to need more of this fantastic sweet woody vanilla juice! Now that I've worn this a bit.... the potency/sillage is better than average! If you use enough, it will last all day. YUM!

GREEN VANILLA. Opens with a burst of soft-purple fruity-floral that deepens into the floral heart of violet & iris, resting on a resinous vanilla base with woody tones. Overtime the vanilla intensifies, and overall I get a lightly sweet, dew-drop vanilla scent with resinous and root-like facets that evokes a "green vanilla". The resins here bring a Johnson & Johnson Baby shampoo vibe, while the iris here leans to orris root, bringing a rooty aspect of powdery iris and something near green beans. The fantasy violet note brings a faint, soft purple floral aspect. The longer it's on the skin, the nicer it gets. Has a soft but present projection with slightly above average longevity. Contrast to Hanae Mori Hanae Mori: These are different, and HM is sweeter with more sandalwood & ylang forward notes. Police Dark has the dewy resin & rooty vanilla. Hanae Mori outperforms. Contrast to Vanille Divine des Tropiques La Maison de la Vanille: These are different, and VDdT has a creamier opening with beachy vibes, but the drydowns are very similar with dew-drop vanilla. Roughly equivalent performance. Overall: Beautiful and simple scent profile that easy to wear and not overly sweet - perfect for layering. However, it does feel like it's missing something. I find this a bit simple to wear on it's own, and not really cozy enough to wear to bed - I could see myself layering this with a sweeter or creamier vanilla to add a nice dimension. Enjoy!

This is amazing, it's a shame it's not more well known! I love powdery vanillas and this doesn't disappoint at all. It's so soft and heavenly, and would be perfect for spraying after a bath. It has the slight sweetness of the vanilla, but the sandalwood and cedar stop it from being cloying. The beginning has a nice sharpness to it with the bergamot and orange, but that soon dries down almost immediately to the gorgeous powdery, woody heaven. This is not your average vanilla scent, it smells so much more expensive than it actually is, and is very well put together. Fast becoming one of my favourites! Sillage is great on me, not at all overpowering, but i catch gorgeous wafts of it for hours. Longevity is amazing for a cheaper edt, four hours and still going VERY strong, i can't fault it! If you're looking for a cheap, long lasting, beautiful crowd pleaser, this is definitely it!! Edit; could still smell it on me the next morning, 12+ hours later! Amazing!!

Hidden Gem Alert! 💎 It’s a soft, comforting, powdery, sweet violet vanilla goodiness 😍 but not the cloying powdery sweetness, instead it’s a silky-smooth my skin but better vibe. Like I just stepped out of a violet petals filled bathtub. 🛁🫧 The more I smell it, the more soothed and relaxed I get. 💆🏼♀️🥰 It’s a very sensual scent that gives an aura of elegance and sophistication. It has a tiny vintage vibe to it, but not in the old scent way, but rather in a classy lady from another era. A very intoxicating and seductive scent. I’m hooked ❤️ P.s. I don’t know how but sometimes i get a tiny whiff resembling Dolce Pour Femme & sometimes I get the softest whisper of Marc Jacobs Decadance.

Blind buy - and also a great value purchase, although I got it on a Christmas discount to be honest. Soft, cozy, dark and warm, but with a touch of vintage, elegant sensuality. Has this air of quiet confidence. Not too sweet, the vanilla is well blended so this is pretty balanced. Moderate to weak sillage, no more than 3 hours of longevity - if only it was EdP instead of EdT it would be perfect. Non-aggressive. I use it as a daily/work fragrance, it's quite versatile for both day/night and the four seasons (best for fall primarily, then winter, rather than spring/summer). To me, it's cozy comfort in a bottle.

Oh my God it's beautiful!!! Really gorgeous! And the bottle is fabulous too - very classy and elegant. Glamorous!!! The perfume its totally totally gorgeous. Beautiful, sweet, warm, dark, very dark, like dark caramel (just as others say), powdery, silky-soft, delicious!!!! Very ultra-feminine, but strong and assertive and confident; sensual and ravishing. I adore it, and am addicted to it. It's divine!!! I get sooo many compliments!!! Men love it!!! I love it!!! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

I have to disagree that it smells sickly sweet bcz I don't think so this is ! In my opinion sickly sweet should be pink sugar ,prada candy, viva la juicy etc .. Rather than that it smells so mild sofisticated powdery fruity fragrance ...u can not pick any one note in this , so well blended ,doesn't have alcohol Smell at all ... doesn't going to be last more as it is edt bt i like this for it's price ... Go for it if u like sweet light fruity vanilla powdery fragrance

I just had to laugh out loud! I bought this blind based on the reviews here. Firstly let me say that I love Police Dark, it is absolutely beautiful! Here's the kicker with the dry down... On me this is Rochas Tocade! I mean it is exactly not reminiscent but exactly the same. I have and wear Tocade so I doubt I will keep Police Dark for that reason. Nevertheless it's a beautiful fragrance. Highly recommend. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

I just bought this one. I'm shocked about these notes here, lemon and orange???!!!! no way it is very sweet and warm included some bitter dark scent to it.something like dark caramel. it is not fruity at all. it is very similar to Prada candy .

This is just a beauty. It's a soft powdery, slightly sweet vanilla scent. I love it. The projection is pretty moderate. I over spray to make it last a little longer. It's a really nice scent. I did blind buy it, and it was a win for me.

Soft, cosy, feminine, slightly rosy. A comfort perfume because it reminds me of a warm room, with pillows, frills, powders....a very inviting cocoon. I like it so much.

Flowers in the Beginning ... But soon it turns into a Yummy Dark-Chocolate-Orange that was in a perfumed Handbag. :-D ("Terry's Chocolate Orange" -Slices: Mmmmmmmh...)

Fans of classics/vintages who like Police Dark should immediately try Molinard Habanita. Whoa.

This is a unique fragrance. I like it.

The Police Dark arrested me! This perfume has detained me, locked me up and put me in a holding cell! The frag is mysterious, sexy, and mature. It opens with crushed violet leaves, a sexy, boozy mandarin, a luscious black current and a devious bit of bergamot. In just moments after the initial dry down jasmine, rose and a bit of heady gardenia magically appear and play with my senses. Alas at this point the boozy mandarin pulls an escape act, vanishing like a smooth criminal. As she begins to slowly fade a bit more, a dark vanilla and wafts of sandalwood emerge. Police Dark is not for the faint of heart as she comes on like a taser, and leaves a bit of a permanent record. She gives off an edgy vibe at times that has me "thinking" Aqua Net hair spay, but a classy, classy, light lacquer version, LOL, if that is possible. This for me was not a bad thing... as it is ever so coy. A bit unusual and unlike anything else I own, this juice is unique in her overall composition. Think of her as a enticingly sexy, feminine, and very sweet little criminal with a badge!

A blind buy for me. Not sure why I was expecting it to be a juvenile, clubbing kinda fragrance? I would find out it was. surprisingly mature. Maybe it's the iris, i don't know- but there's something solemn yet sensual in Police Dark Woman that brings forth the image of hugging an older woman sharply dressed in black at church, kissing her cheek maybe and getting a whiff of this as the fabric prickles your skin and the powdery scent etches itself in your memory. It smells much like rummaging through somebody's drawers without her permission- feeling up dust, lace, pearls and empty perfume bottles tossed all together in abandon- the scent sticking to your fingers, giving you away. As a few others have said before, it's lipsticky(?), quite vintage, and I found it cloying on myself. I don't really like it, but ironically enough Dark Woman got me a lot of compliments and it definitely has its appeal. I do think it's beautiful, long-lasting and has a lovely dry down if you're into vintages (a bit reminiscent of Red Door imo). Also pretty affordable~

Yet another blind buy for me, and this is nice. £10 for 100ml and it's fairly enjoyable, personally I agree that it isn't too sweet it's actually quite tame compared to some other 'sweet fragrances'. Vanilla and violet are the most prominent but as someone said below its very well blended for sure which makes it difficult to define the other notes as easily. However the downfall of this fragrance is the very disappointing lasting power unfortunately as it only stays on for less than an hour and even during that time it's very very close to the skin. So although I do enjoy this fragrance, I'm still debating on whether I should keep it or not.

This is the most sweetest vanilin based fragrance what I can tolerate. The sweet mandarin - vanilin beginning is turning off some minuit later and the woodsy and floral note began to work. In this time the sweetness disapear and the fragnance not change anymore. The sillage is soft, longevity is moderate. Talán ez a legédesebb vaníliás illat amit még el tudok viselni magamon. Az édes citrusos vaníliás kezdet pár perc múlva elmúlik és előretörnek a virágok és a fás jegyek. Az illat már nem változik tovább. Bőrömön kb 4 órát, ruhán kb. hat órán át lehet érezni. Police Dark is an affordable candy violet scent with moderate longevity and intimate projection. This is a perfume with a mysterious aura, instead of Dark I'd rather call it Dusk. I can imagine Luna Lovegood wearing it. The perception of vanilla increases a lot in the drydown, especially in warm conditions (directly on the skin, in hot weather). There is a nondescript fruity facet in the scent that doesn't feel very refined. For the price, you get a rather mature, sweet, powdery scent with violet in the spotlight. If you like scents like Ultraviolet or Flower of Immortality you might like this one.

The packaging looks like the evil big sister of Prada Candy. I am anosmic to the scent of Prada Candy however, so I can't say anything about the supposed likeness in terms of smell. The blackcurrant really stands out to my nose, and blackcurrant happens to be a note I usually struggle with (the exception being its fantastic use in Hugo Boss Deep Red). Frankly, in this composition, it's a dealbreaker. It's a shame because otherwise it is this scrumptious resinous vanilla with powdery floral accents... I will be passing this one on to someone who appreciates it more.

This one...I am on the fence about. I get a very balsamic fragrance...and...yes...vintage vibe for sure...but the wrong kind of vintage vibe...???... It seems that many of the notes are being smothered by the balsamic nature of this composition...I gave it 3 trys so far, and with the same results...not my cup of tea...sadly. The bottle IS cool....however.......

I got a 100ml bottle from Vinted for £5 so if I hadn't liked it it was not a lot of money to have spent. However.....I do like it, very much so. It's very wearable though I don't think it would suit young teens as it's quite woody. I also get a dominant iris at the latter stage of wearing it and some younger people may find it to be an aging smell.

I think intoxicating and seductive are the perfect words for this scent, it opens with sweet dusky vanilla, becomes darker with hints of chocolate/caramel smoke. Then in the drydown the darkness fades and vanilla mellows, so you're just left with a softly sweet velvety vanilla, the hints of smoky violet save it from being generic.

Police's Dark was the first ever perfume I bought myself with my first ever payment centuries ago :) it's like a dark purple hued sugar cube that's slightly powdery & dusty as it feels like it leaves a violet colored residue once you touch it! I loved it. most of my friends loved it. I assume you might do too...

I tried this on before my shower in case I didn't like it. I do like it, but I wouldn't buy it myself. It's not 'dark' in my opinion. It's rather sweet and nice. I can't really distinguish any particular notes in this, so I guess that means that it's well-blended. :)

The vanilla note is very prominent, but it's a deep, rich vanilla rather than a light one. Even though it's an eau de toilette, I think it performs almost like an eau de parfum

This perfume is seriously intoxicating! It's warm and spicy with a hint of sweetness from the vanilla. Perfect for evening wear.

This was a total blind buy for me. I liked the bottle, I love a dark sultry fragrance, it has warm woody notes, what’s not to like? Well, I was so disappointed to find this is sickly sweet and powdery. I started sneezing 🤧 immediately and haven’t stopped two hours later. I have come to find that I need to steer clear of purple florals, violet and iris, and any powdery notes. There are people who love them, but they don’t jive with me at all. I love the bottle and the color of the juice and that’s about it. I can see how some folks would like it, it has some of my favorite notes, but others ruin it for me. Pretty fragrance but not for me!

if you dont like sweet fragrances ,dont ever try this.Run forest ,run.This one is so sweet,sickly sweet,that my teeth hurt.It is like sugar with suger,over sugar ,with suger powder on top.linear ,the same from the beggining to the end.I liove Police fragrances ,but not this one.i ordered a deodorant,because their deodorants are quite long lasting.It is the same as the perfume.Thank God i ordered a deo,i would totally send the perfume away.maybe for the winter when it is -15 degrees it will warm me up and i would like it.

All I can smell is extremely powdery vanilla. To my nose this is not dark,sexy or unique, altough it doesn't smell cheap. I think my grandma had some sort of a face powder that smelt just like this.

This reminds me of "Fancy Jessica Simpson", mostly fruity to me, nothing special and regret of purchasing.

After much consideration, and reading reviews on here, I took the plunge and made yet another blind buy and got a bottle of Police Dark. At first sniff and test, applying just one spritz, I was a bit disappointed. It was quite sweet in a heavy, slightly murky, powdery and lipstick'y way, which is a type of scent that often doesn't appeal to me. It smelled quite mature for a sweet perfume and not the soda'ish kind of sweet perfume more suited to a teenager - this is far more suited to an elegant grown up woman. It also seemed to have a licorice vibe to it, although that isn't listed in the notes, and reminded me of a very overrated and awfully ubiquitous perfume I loathe - Alien. I was fearing I might have to wash this off my wrist but (thank god!) it soon settled down and became WAY more appealing to my nose! It became softer, less lipstick'y and really smelled pleasant, and far more expensive than the little more than £10 I paid for it. Also, the longevity is impressive - 24 hours later I can still smell it softly on my wrist ... from one little spritz the day before! Many far more costly perfumes have much weaker sillage and longevity (such as Blooming Bouquet, which costs far too much for a perfume that can barely be detected after a couple of hours, yet it's lovely while it lasts). On my skin the notes that stand out in this perfume are the gardenia, iris, sandalwood and vanilla. I really can't detect the rose and certainly no tartness from the blackcurrant. Also, I don't get the balsamic note that some others seem to get from this perfume. It's far more soft, sweet, slightly powdery and creamy smelling on my skin rather than being tart and sharp! It reminds me a little of Muse de Rochas, which I also have, in that regard and that it smells a little vintage but I prefer this to Muse on its own (my Muse I now wear blended with Pure DKNY!). It's also slightly reminiscent of Cashmere Mist to me in the sense that it's a soft 'cuddly' type of perfume. The bottle is very pretty and weighty too, and is identical in style to Police Sunscent, which I also have (that's more fruity floral but nice too) but the Sunscent bottle is plain and orange'y whereas the bottle for Dark is (appropriately considering the name) darker in hue (purple'y black) with dark flowers on it. I've worn this perfume 3 days in a row now so it's definitely grown on me! Rarely have I had a perfume that didn't appeal to me at first spray but then suddenly grew on me, and so rapidly! This is suddenly one of my 'go to' perfumes that seems ideal in just about any situation.

The dominant notes of this perfume are vanilla, violet, and blackcurrant. In the dry down, it has an incredible woody scent that I absolutely love. It also gives a hint of makeup-like vibes. To me this is weak, barely detectable, and smells like a watered down sweeter version [maybe just more powdery, not sugary sweeter] of Lalique Amethyst. Nothing else to say, I detect zero fruit [apart from the blackberry or currant], sugar, flowers, nothing of the sort. The positives are that I've always wanted Amethyst in the sweeter version, and it's a nice, non-aggressive skin scent.

Yesterday I bought this cute little EDT. I've been told by a woman which works at the perfume store that Police EDTs are stronger than regular EDTs and I believed it. Now I must say that this fragrance is not that strong as I thought it would be... I really really like it's sweet, smoky scent, for its price the fragrance is quite nice. If it only lasted a bit longer on my skin...

Surprisingly nice. The opening is warm then it gets cold and dries down to a sweet and powdery vanilla scent. Feminine and relaxing, a good choice for these cold days. It smells really pleasant, almost like a designer fragrance. It's not sickening, not overly powdery. I think it's really well done. The name is misleading though, there is nothing dark about it.

Has a pungent alcohol smell at the start, disappears after a few minutes. At first there's a fresh, purple floral, fruity smell but the woody, resinous vanilla notes balances it out. I'd describe it as mature, mysterious and a little edgy. Yes it's quite weak unfortunately, but it's so cheap and a unique scent too!

its a dark velvety vanilla and iris and yummmy soooo delicious at the same time... very balanced for some people like me that a bit fussy about sweetness... gourmand like a chocolate and caramel and after that just want drink a cup of coffee in wintery days

Police Dark is a really lovely perfume but it just doesn’t last, unfortunately. I have almost rehomed it several times but I do really like the fragrance so I always end up keeping it. I just wish it lasted longer! Two hours - tops - and it’s gone.

I want to like this but I just simply cannot. This one turns very sweet with almost a caramel note. Slightly synthetic, and just way too medicinal sweet!

Disappointed, as I can't smell vanilla or iris. The rose on the other hand is too strong for my taste. It reminds me of Miss Dupont by ST Dupont.

My best description would be blackberry wine with a hint of vanilla. Not hating it for a 20 dollar perfume. ✨

My mother in law has this I tried it and it reminds me so much of marc Jacobs decadence

This is very similar to Roma Uomo by Laura Biagotti.
