Police Potion Absinthe For Him

i got this in and ive been wearing it for the past few days. its not some super loud clubbing fragrance and i feel its more than functional for my needs. the opening has this sour skunky synthetic cannabis note to it thats kinda strange but i love it. the sandalwood base is pretty strong. the real magic i feel of this fragrance is beyond the opening. once this stuff sits on you for about 15 or 20 minutes the notes all come together into this really barbershop herbal thing thats really nice. i think it smells nice and a little different while having roots in something akin to italian aftershave. the whole thing gives me a vibe of proraso green shaving soap sans the menthol though the star anise note fills that void nicely. Update: after wearing this for another week or so its more interesting than i initially gave it credit. the scent at a distance if used as a room spray gives off a lot of that sweet orange scent. i like to spray some on a chair or something and leave the room then come back while not wearing it to see whats up. to clarify i absolutely love this stuff.

This one is really special, but it's not for everyone. The dignified approach to niche perfumery, which is not typical for this brand, makes it even more surprising. It's not for those who give up in the first moments as soon as they feel the top notes, but for those who know that there can be much more beyond that. I understand that the opening may be repulsive for some people because it is very herbal, but it is worth waiting for it to show its more aromatic side and the “after shower” smell to appear. I'm proud that my 17 year old son was able to see that qualities, so it has become his signature and everyone compliments him.

If you like to try unusual perfumes, this might be for you. I love this by Police. A herbal, woody and sweet fragrance with a good performance. I can smell the absinthe opening and then it becomes a very unique herbal smell. The dry down is a gorgeous soapy, clean and herbal waft on the air. Great for Autumn, Spring and Summer. I really think this is great. In my top 20 now.

It reminds me of a very light version of classic Ralph Lauren green and in the same ballpark of the green Proraso eucalyptus and menthol, aftershave toning lotion but the cannabis and artemisia note make it stand on its own as unique and interesting while having some classic barbershop vibes. It is a scent I like for physical activity in cooler weather for now, still haven’t tried it in the heat. It isn’t super strong and it may be just on the cusp of being irritating to people that have an over sensitivity to fragrances for the first few minutes but it dries down quick and leaves a fresh unique skin scent. It has a great modern sport vibe and I’m happy to have it on my shelf. I will be looking further into absinthe-centric fragrances but I think this has good value as a moderate modern representation of the wormwood/ artemisia note.

I've smelled almost all of the fragrances this is compared to above - the only reason L'Artisan's Fou D'Absinthe isn't ranked as far and away the most similar fragrance is because it's not well-known. Potion Absinthe is just a sweeter, rougher version of Fou - where Fou is classy, Potion is fun. Is it refined? No. Does it last very long? No. But it's super cheap, enjoyable, and has a fun tacky bottle. If you like Fou or any licorice/absinthe fragrances and you don't hate sweetness in fragrances, you'll like Potion Absinthe.

I absolutely love this but admittedly I'm a bit odd wore this on Halloween and a close friend described it as incense and bad decisions I had 4 customers ask what I was wearing one of which doused himself in it when I showed him the bottle

For those who don't know what weed smells like, it might seem like it's there. Otherwise, it's a pretty pleasant green scent that needs to be reapplied every hour.

Don't use this one before check-in at airport. Talking from experience :) Too much herbal Marijuana vibes....

This smells EXACTLY like Marijuana

nauseating, revolting, pungent, synthetic and impossible to wash off. the notes made the whole thing seem really interesting but this plasticky, slightly medicinal "guy-scent" gave me an instant headache. if anyone wore this near my presence i'd stay far far far away from them. that sillage and longevity combo is dangerous.

Smells like Polo and weed. Not a bad combination!
