Police Potion For Her

I always tell my daughters to check out the Police and this one did not disappoint us either. This is not so "at your face" as some from Police, the sillage is quite restrained, but there is very nice depth and the scent is quite long-lasting too, we think. But the scent itself: Imagine a ripe red apple and dip it into the toffee... Or tart red berries with vanilla ice cream and hot kinuski sauce.... So this is quite a sweet dessert, to which such acidic tartness provides a nice contrast without adding musk, patchouli, woods or even strong floral elements. Definitely worth to checking out!

This fragrance is SO flexible, anyone from mid teens to adult could wear this. Its addictive, gives off a kinda mature, yet playful vibe, without smelling like a typical adult fragrance. i wore this all thru-out i think 7th grade winter. To me, this does not smell like caramel apples at all, more like flowers, like a rose, but darker idk how to explain it, and i can aslo make out the red berries. My guy bestfriend LOVES this perfum, and so do i, sadly ive run out of it and i cant get it anywhere local.

Firstly I fell for the bottle. Love how aesthetic and simple bottle design is. Quite strong notes of red berries but don't last long. Smells sweet for whole day. I really really like this. I bought it blindly as I figured it would be safe after reading the reviews. To me it smells very similar to Lattafa Sakeena. The berries give off a dark, sweet wine scent. The caramel and powdery notes vaugly remind me of the dry down of Dior's Poison. As for the longevity, I'll have to update since this just arrived today.

It makes me picture a halloween night at a monster mash party. Everyone is enjoying cider and candy apples. Snow White is there about to eat the poison apple. This is what she smells. Powder-sweet spicy red apple. The bottle is a perfect vessel for this perfume. It smells exactly what you’d think it would smell like. 10/10.

my boyfriend got me this perfume for christmas :] love the smell, reminds me of sweet plums and cranberries, mixed with a hint of vanilla and red apples. the design is divine - so simple, yet so aesthetic! definitely recommend it, especially to the goth girlies... i think i’ll keep the bottle after i finish it, tbh

My very first Police fragrance and I'm amazed. I love the bottle, I love the scent...everything. Not that intensive but long lasting. I wore it on a summer's day as a last resort (I was a little bit late for my bus ride.) but I'd still not recommend to wear this in the summer.

My boyfriend loves this on me, and I get why, it’s an unique take on caramelised apples, sweet, glossy and naughty. I don’t use it often, the silage is really not great, it does require reapplication because it fades, and it’s such a shame☹️ I wish it was just a tad stronger

Love the scent, fruity-sweet without gummybear vibes or childishness. It does not last well on me unfortunately.

I can see the relation to Pretty Nina having green apple and caramel. Likewise Potion is like a cousin to BBW's Forever Red due to its fresh and sweet green apple/peach combo, while here this is red apple, peach and the amplified freshness of the bergamot. Its drydown is quite reminiscent of Eau So Sexy by VS due to their sweet apple, bergamot notes. Potion is not just an apple scent though, this is part of its character, but it is also a red berries scent that truly translates to red in my mind, with a fresh slightly green quality to it from the bergamot (borderline aquatic at times, but mainly fresh) so it gives the scent a slight green tone and keeps it from being overly sweet. On me the caramel, benzoin and amber are not raging as they would normally do due to the freshness of the top notes, and the lemony-fresh magnolia at the core. The red apple is prominent and intensifies the "red" color of the scent in my mind, and pairs well with the fresh bergamot. Apple pairs well with the peach as in BBW Forever Red, they are different scents as a whole, but I get a similar type of fresh sweet candy apple/peach here too. There is a distinct fizzy slightly salty, slightly citrusy (at first) scent (almost like pop-corn at first) that quickly joins the party, and yeap as usual, orange blossom in the house; as it normally is on me, salty, fizzy and that's mainly in the opening. The peach adds a candy-like essence to the scent and makes it slightly powdery, not too noticeably powdery. The rose is subtle, but plays its small part well to intensify a pink floral balsamic effect here. The resinous benzoin is a balsamic touch to the scent. The caramel is behind the buttery, rich base of the scent that intensifies at the drydown. I was not impressed by this scent at first, because it is like a fruity berry BBW-type of scent. At first the red berries made me think of BBW Everlasting Magic (red berries, petals, musk), but they are different scents since Potion ends up being more apple-centered. The difference is Potion has more depth, a fresh side to it with a rich apple scent and a floral essence on an ambery base, while Everlasting Magic is berry-heavy and musky and so syrupy that is reminiscent at times of a lighter BBW Sugar Cherry Crisp. Potion projects quite nicely and it may give berry/apple body mist at first, but it performs better than body mists and it takes some time to unfold all of its magic power in small doses, one by one its notes sing their part and then blend all together at the dry down. My favorite of the line if the Arsenic one.

This fragrance ended up on my shelf because lately I've been looking for a fruity perfume with a warm base. As I love Police fragrances, this seemed like the right choice for me considering the mentioned notes (blind buy). I was not surprised that I liked the smell, but it was definitely not what I was looking for and expected. First, the scent is unisex (in a good way)! For the first 30 minutes, the smell is the same as when I mix sour cherries with sugar in a bowl...sweet and sour at the same time, but the sour notes are strongly emphasized. After about 1 hour, warm vanilla and caramel (with cherries in the background) come to the surface, and this scent remains on the skin for a few more hours. The sour start has a very good projection, while the warm notes are subsequently more intimate. Although the smell can be categorized as fresh, personally I would be afraid to use it at temperatures above 20°c and for going out to the club, because if it is mixed with sweat, the smell can easily turn into something smelly 😬 that's its only negative side. The scent is definitely not for everyone and I wouldn't recommend blind buying.

Probably the only apple scent I can stand, due to the fact this is usually a terribly synthetic note. Here it is sugary but not overly synthetic. Potion definitely has a year-round festive vibe - from Christmas and fall season events to summer carnivals and music festivals. Someone who says it's perfect for a Halloween party means snacks and not its gothic vibe. The bottle is the only gothic thing about it (it's not red glass or juice though, just a transparent one with burgundy sticker at the back of the bottle). It's a really light-hearted, juicy, mildly juvenile scent. Very warm and welcoming. Could be a pleasant year round perfume, but unfortunately it's so weak that I can mostly use it during the summer. While fun, I don't imagine myself wearing it for any occasion that would require more refined taste.

Blind buy, just because I thought the bottle looked cute as heck. Not disappointed, especially for the pricepoint. First thing I thought after spraying is “fruit juice”, like squeezing a Capri Sun on my skin. Florals are very faint, and once it dries it smells completely different, warm and sweet, which makes sense considering the caramel in the base notes. It does sit close to my skin though, and in my experience, won’t last very long. Lovely scent nonetheless!

It smells like a caramel apple with cranberry juice undertones. I do really like it and use it for layering occasionally but it's nothing groundbreaking. I wish the benzoin and base notes were a little more prominent but that's okay.This would be a great starter scent for a teenager or young lady as it works year round and isn't offensive. It is sweet, light and playful. Not a grown up gourmand by any means.

I bought this thinking the apple note would give the parfume a fresh and clean sweetness. But i kinda forgot that green apple gives off fresh scent, not red. And i also dont like vanilla and caramel, they are just too unfresh for me if that makes any sense. So yeah, this is not a bad parfume, its sweet and feminine, and it is what it claims to be. But not really my taste. Still gonna use it tho

Love the bottle, makes me feel like I looted it from some goblin priest on my guild's dungeon run or something. It's sweet, and a little bit basic (which means I smelled it on someone in the past), but quite enjoyable for the current weather. Crowd-pleasing non brainer.

i like to wear this at bedtime, for me its a comfort fragrance, sweet but not too sweet, fresh, gives me a feeling of clean sheets with a fruity touch, not too strong, i dont feel any sharpness on my nose.

As soon as it's sprayed it gives straight up Campari to me, once the alcohol evaporates it becomes a very juicy red apple and berries with bergamot in the background which I really like. After 15-30 minutes the florals start to come out, slighlty pungent but not much indolic, I can't smell the peach. Florals and fruitness are pretty blended. Once the florals are tamed the caramel and amber start to be more prominent and I absolutely love the drydown of this perfume. The apple will go away once you start smelling the caramel. Sillage is weak and lasts only for the top notes, the drydown can be smelled only when close to the skin, but it's really good. Last about 4-5 hours on me. I think this could easily be a unisex perfume. I love the top notes and the base notes, not a fan of white florals so they ruin it a little for me. It if wasn't for the florals it would be one of my top fav. Good for the price though.

it really reminds me of a perfume i had when i was in elementary school that smells like cheap strawberry candy. this perfume smells sour sweet and fruity you can clearly smell the apples and its soooo childish i really thought it would be more feminine but nah its so childish i will give it to my niece to be honest

smell like poison from dior so for me is a pass, also doesn't stay long either like all police perfumes

This was a blind buy. I was hoping it to be similar to Very Good Girl but of course it isnt even a little bit. I also thought the bottle is really cool. This one is more sour fruity, it gives me sort of an idea of berry wine. I could not detect any of the middle notes unfortunately but I could smell something caramel vanilla in the end before it turns yo skin scent. I really can not like it. I tried. It is not too sweet either. It is actually quite unique smelling but this one just is not for me. I will update if the scent changes with temperature or with longer maceration.

Good cheapie, under the warm season it is good but in cold it is less attractive. Under the cold it’s soapy. Sillage was moderate. Longevity was like 4 hours. Only concern is longevity, however considered with the price, still it’s a good value!!
