Shock-In-Scent For Men

Do people have a strange fascination with such shock? The obvious conclusion here is that I really don't know. Shock is part of the surprise spectrum, it’s just one kind of surprise, but the surprise is actually categorized as something unexpected or misexpected, different from the former because it was a total screw-up, not just a surprise. If we’re surprised with something positive, we’ll feel more intense feelings of happiness or joy than we normally would have absent the surprise. Similarly, if we’re surprised by something negative, our feelings of anger, despair or unhappiness will also intensify because of the surprise. If you are anything like me, you hate being surprised whereas you love surprising others, but I hate being surprised myself. By the way, why am I arguing about shocks and mostly what is Police Shock-in-Scent all about? Surprise! The unexpected feels good, at least it's good for me. Well, it didn't shock me, but that's okay. To begin with, the electric blue bottle captivated my eyes, it is really noticeable among all the other bottles on the shelf. But, what could be a bit annoying is that the striking cap stings, ouch! It is full of pointed studs that pinch your fingertips when you grab it to extract it. Nevertheless, that didn't stop me from testing the essence inside. In the spirit of Mr. Burberry and Jaguar Prestige but more spicy and sharp, a different approach to the former mentioned. Not better, not lower, just offbeat. If one expected a revolution from Shock-in-Scent, such hopes would be misplaced, although this is undeniably very well-composed. Intertwined with old, traditional and new, modern colognes, Police Shock-in-Scent for man welcomes you with bittersweet citrus and spicy accords, I get clearly the tangy red grapefruit, which is almost immediately joined by earthy and minty cardamom, not dominant but enough to tamper the zestiness. The mentioned pepper is nearly ephemeral perhaps it's me as I do not get it too much. So far so good, though it did not shock me yet. The notes of aromatic lavender announce the heart, which has some minty and leathery facets, a bit of cool peppermint makes it modern, and freshly-cut birch leaves add a mild suede accord. Be aware, this is a gentle leather touch, not as rough or rude as what you might expect when you think about leather. A slightly woody note is even there, presumably the cedarwood reveals itself in the heart. After about a few hours the base involves quite a change, with more woody and musky notes. A tinge of modern white patchouli, together with addictive roasted and almondy tonka bean, and animal musk, warmly complete the dry down of the fragrance. At last, Shock-in-Scent results to be a fougére, woody, and spicy cologne, which is fitting for cooler days of middle seasons like Spring and Fall. The scent calms down after a couple of hours, I've been wearing it since 8am and it is still perceivable close to my skin at 2pm. Of course, I am wearing it on a Winter day, my bad, unquestionably too cold for this kind of cologne. Hence, I'd rate it as average sillage, projection, and longevity. My final humble opinion, from the outside, it perfumes like a quite simple ordinary barbershop scent with some spiciness thrown in, but it appears several layers are hiding and every time you catch a whiff of it, the notes are a little different. The overall notes are quite a few, yet I'd mainly set in a few accords: the freshness of the lavender, the soft woodiness of the cedar, the sharpness of the mint, and the warmness of the white musk that add a little bit of an edge to an otherwise smooth and modest mixture.

This smells really fresh. Smells like Dylan Blue with Invictus. Though the scent is OK, the cap is so prickly and painful to grab.

I kinda like it though I'm planning to buy more mature safe scent. It reminds me of Eros and Polo Sport, also it reminds of Sauvage w/o that overblasting ambroxan and carnation. Many notes are the same. Pepper, lavender, bergamot, cedar and patchouli. Police S-I-S certainly is for young guys, it's mellower than Sauvage and less sweet than Eros. It's not a bad scent at all, just lacking uniqueness. I could live with it, I'm downgrading now in this hobby not going up.

The women’s version of this is a jammy mix of all the fashionable women’s fragrances and I think this is the same mix for men! From the woman's point of view, the scent is pleasantly masculine, attractive and youthful without being childish. Just the right amount of sweetness to scent a man, aromatic, green, fresh and woody. Very confident scent with attention guaranteed by the Police. Lovely, but too masculine for myself. Love that bottle.

I'm So grateful that i didn't spend an arm and a leg on this because i would have been so disappointed. the cap is also an irritation. to me there is nothing special about this fragrance and really nothing to write home about
