To Be Bad Guy

Okay, the name and the whole theme of this fragrance is very cheesy, but... Good god, the smell is GORGEOUS! Upon initial spray, I immediately get the mint and the green apple. After a while, the caramel note appears and makes it so yummy and edible. An easy contender for the best perfume in the line. You can wear it year-round except Summer, it's too sweet for that. I find it quite versatile and mass appealing. It's more of a playful, clubbing scent, but it would work well in almost every situation. Young gentlemen and ladies are going to love this.

Wow such an unexpected surprise. I blind purchased this fragrance for my 16 year old son after a bit of research and I’m in shock how beautiful it smells!! It’s gorgeously blended and smooth, nothing synthetic or jarring! To me it smells like a dupe for Dolce&Gabbana pour Homme (1994), what an incredible men’s fragrance it was, so sexy and smooth!! I’m unsure how it smells now after the reformulation but To be Bad Guy is a pretty close dupe for the original. The bottle is cute for a teen. I think the girls will love this fragrance on young guys.

I had it, bought it for myself, because I love mint. It felt a little bit too cologne -y on me right now. Loved the scent, green apple, caramel (love how good these favorites smell together), but didn't really feel like me. Gave it to a man I hope to continue seeing, if only for the fact that it smells better on him :) bodychemistry is a funny thing. Anyways, highly recommend, especially with how often you can get police for a lower price, bit too cool on me but the spiciness shines on other people.

What a pleasant surprise. I really wasn't expecting much. I actually bought this fragance to fill up a cart and get free shipping. I get this lovely green smell, possibly the mint and apple coming through. It starts off like Eros ETD in a way. It's slightly synthetic but that's not always the worst thing. As it dries to the mid, the mint comes through more. And then the base is a sweet vanilla or caramel which is linear but fine. It lasts about 6 hours on me. It's cool, I like it.

I genuinely like this fragrance. Purchased for 13 bucks on sale, and its easily worth triple. Its a modern fragrance that focuses on sweet, slightly gourmand, with citrus mint opening, and a lovely vanilla caramel base. Average longevity, but way above average smell and balance. No harshness, no gaps in the scent profile. Fresh, sweet, pleasant, and very wearable. It really surprised me on how well its done. Easy reach.

This is greatly balanced and fresh. I could go on about how I smell aspects of Chic from Herrera or a tropic vanilla from Cool water Intense, and greens from Le Male On Board, but this is really it's own scent. Really impressed by The Police now! I just walked by these in stores for 20 years because they look cheap but this one could be a new Prada almost, at least to the casual nose in the air. Really like it!

My son got it as a present. My first thought was and no, no such cheap stuff. He can borrow something from my shelf. After we tried it, I changed my mind. It was really fresh. Green and sweet make it something very special. I have to admit I love it! Now I often go to his shelf 😃

This could be a Boss Bottled EDT flanker. Not bad at all if you like that scent profile. It's sort of a hybrid BB EDT with Givenchy Pi - but not really similar to any of those two. I dig it, even more for the price per ml, great tacky presentation too.

Everyone is talking about how surprised they are that this is so good. I'm not surprised. I liked both Police To Be Light and Camouflage. The latter was pretty good for a cheapie; woody and fruity with decent performance. Now we have this To Be Bad Guy and instead of the woods, this flanker has the caramel/vanilla combo to give it that sweet gourmand touch, with the fruits still there up top. I swear I can smell that sweet soft sorbet note. Damn, this is a good one. It could be unisex, and could work all year round since the fruits, florals and greenery fit well in the warmer months, but it's also sweet enough with those base notes to stand out in the cold. I'd say the performance is just above average. Could we have the best offering from Police yet? That may not be saying much, but let's enjoy this one while the hype train hasn't left the station (yet). If this juice were in a Paco Rabanne or Armani bottle, there would be a heck of a lot more comments here.

Sweet, gourmand and realistic to the advertised notes, with a sparkling side. Reminiscent of an apple toast just out of the fridge, if you see what I mean 😅 I wouldn't wear it every day, but on certain light-hearted occasions it might be appropriate. Useful details : english is not my mother tongue and my opinions are copied and pasted from my personal notes, written on the fly after several phases of testing (in the case of this one, I have it in my collection so I wear it regularly).

Nose Note #402 Out of the three I've tried: King, Tattooart and Bad Guy, the latter is the best. It has bits from YSL L'Homme and Hugo Just Different. And like the other designer cheapies from the same caterogy - it's rather blake and ambiguous. Less so with this one, but still. Minty, fresh, a tiny bit sweet. Has nice citrus bitterness and a touch of apple. It's really not so bad. 6.5/10

I have wanted this fragrance for so long due to the notes and i just got it in today and i really enjoy it. a little bit basic but it’s phenomenal for the value

It was a good fragrance, didnt wear it that much tho. Smells perfectly after showering.

For me this is mainly the Greens, Thyme, nutmeg and Vetiver with a hint of mint, caramel and apple. I was expecting more Caramel though it is a unique twist. Slightly sweet but mainly fougere, and (apart from the caramel) very harsh and synthetic. Sillage and longevity are low end of moderate, and fairly linear. Blind bought and for A$20 it is great value, but not for Summer and I reckon it would give me a headache if I wore it daily. Suggested deodorant match : Lynx Dark Temptation.

Not bad although I didn't like it enough to purchase. Sweet mint, vanilla & caramel, plus something that reminds me of jasmine (white flowers accord). It smells familiar, nothing too revolutionary, OK but not for me (nicer than the other in the line that I owned which was the original To Be).

Smells like a very generic male fragrance, hence you may have smelled this somewhere else before. Not that it's bad, I'm just already used to the smell this fragrance produces. Very cool bottle design though.

Got this on clearance ($10) to meet the free shipping threshold. First of all, the atomizer is crazy incredible - that's very surprising. Also, it's true, this does not scream synthetic and most all under $20 frags of course do - and need a bit of a dry down to get past the alcohol - not this. At this price I expected something linear - it's not linear and is fairly complex. On my skin I'm not getting anything like I am reading here - I'm getting a subdued and muted Boss Bottled vibe from this fragrance, that's my best description. For me this is not a scent I would characterize as a 'leading scent' as I am not sensing a distinguishing character - take a look at that pyramid above, there's a lot going on here. I am going to use this as a base layer and punctuate it with Boss Bottled. I'll probably apply 4 pulse point sprays, and then 2 Boss Bottled Sprays. While I would not buy this again, for me it's a decent base layer frag that's not disruptive to the frag that will play the leading role. *update 10/4/22. After some days, for me this is an unattractive fragrance. I thought I could salvage it by using it as a base layer, and did not think it would disrupt the main frag...but for me this fragrance on my skin is less than neutral - just does not work for me. When someone below says, "caramel/vanilla combo to give it that sweet gourmand touch" - I completely agree, but that strikes with me as very muted and 80% caramel, 20% vanilla, if that. There is no pronounced or signature note in this frag on my skin. It's just kind of like "blaahhhh". But it does smell like a $25-$30 fragrance and not an ultra cheapie, which it is.

Very nice, not synthetic, very good potency, including sillage (from the musk, presumably). However, I'm not sure about how many of the notes listed you will actually be able to detect. That's to be expected from a scent with so many notes, and even the vintage greats often listed notes that you may not detect. This reminds me of a vintage scent like Relax by Davidoff, but with a few notes different, something along those lines. Just a light bit of roughness, but without this it would be entirely unisex. I'd also compare this to Ted (1999) by Lapidus. So far I've liked the Police scents I've tried (Gold Wings and Independent), but I don't buy unless the notes look pleasant and there are some good reviews.

Police makes great cheap fragrance. This one opens fruity and dries down sweet and smooth. This Bad Guy doesn't want to impress with his "badassery", you won't find leather, oud, booze or other strong smells. He wants to be noticed and wants to be liked, like a delicious toffee. The package suggests a bolder scent but I'm not disappointed. Is it mass appealing? For sure. It also has decent performance for being a cheapie and the skull bottle is cool as usual.

This is sweet but still VERY MANLY. It has that sexy sweetness but masculine qualities as well. These bottles are just so darn cool. Love this brand. I don’t think this leans uni-sex. It’s a versatile scent for a man and it’s not super generic. It’s that type of scent that could be worn day or night. Would make a great gift for that BAD BOY that you hate to love. 🖤

To me this is an excellent alternative to gucci guilty ph because of the tonka bean is quite prominent in both fragrance, i just bought it and i don’t really have much of an expectation for the longevity, but i think it should last for about 3-4 hours

The most generic and boring masculine targeted fragrance you can imagine.
