To Be Exotic Jungle For Woman

Most of the reviews give the impression that this perfume is sharp or heavy. It is actually amazing, sweet and smooth, nothing nauseating or obnoxious. To me it's a safe blind buy if you like the Black Opium type of almondy woody perfumes, since this has the powdery almondy heliotrope and the earthy patchouli which is not the usual peppery spicy obnoxious patchouli in this just as it is not spicy and peppery in BO. The suede is giving that BO cashmere woody feel, without being balsamic and heavy as the cashmere note is. This is jasmine-based too like BO. The osmanthus is like a soft apricot-like floral note in this as well, and it also amplifies the overall milky effect of the perfume which pairs nicely with the buttery feel that the suede lends. I don't smell much of the leathery quality of the osmanthus here, unlike in To be My Avatar which is very leathery, but it kinda is leathery at first in the opening. The drydown is more powdery-almondy from the heliotrope. It also has an intense woody undertone that is slightly musky sour almost like sandalwood at first, perhaps the black currant effect along with the suede but it is smoother by the suede eventually later into the drydown. The plum is also the sweet ripe plum, reminiscent of the smooth woody sweet plum in Katy Perry's Indi. I def smell Indi's plum in this especially in the opening and even from the sprayer, also due to the almondy tonka of Indi and the heliotrope here, but this is just one element of To be Exotic - it doesn't entirely smell like Indi. The opening is impressive. The rest is really like the middle and base notes of Black Opium with some of the La Nuit Tresor's gourmand sweetness, even though the latter is much heavier which I don't like. It lacks the annoying coffee-orange blossom -pear blend of Black Opium, but it has a similar smooth woody almond feel, much lighter than the cashmere of BO as I said. Lasting power is amazing. I wore it on a trip and I smelled it on me even after 8 hours. This is very underrated. To me it's incredible. My new favorite for sure, I can't stop wearing it.

85% Lancôme's 'La Nuit Trésor à la Folie'. This is a literal dupe for it and a sophisticated, great-quality one at that. You can't convince me otherwise...they are on opposite arms as I test! The differences you ask? 'à la Folie' is resinous/syrupy, slightly spicier and has that subtly-distinguishable rose note. But they share the EXACT same DNA. I cannot emphasize enough how similar they are! 'Exotic Jungle' has a more juicy/fruity-sweet opening: the blackcurrant and plum are prominent. I don't get any lemons or mangoes at all. After 15 minutes they become the same amount of sweetness on my skin. Actually the suede note prevents this fragrance from becoming a vanilla-sugar overload, adding complexity. Around the 30-40 minute mark, 'à la Folie' gets SWEETER and more syrupy, while suede is more prominent on my skin with 'Exotic Jungle'. I get 0 jasmine, and the patchouli is blended exactly the same as 'à la Folie': a background player...sweet but a little earthy. In usual POLICE/Mavive Spa fashion, 'To Be Exotic Jungle' has impressive performance: massive silage and longevity, just like 'à la Folie'. I find this to be a wintertime crowd-pleaser. This could be easily worn at an office or date environment during chilly weather. It's undoubtedly elegant, feminine, luscious and sultry! Very well-blended 'To Be Exotic Jungle' is the BEST dupe for 'La Nuit Trésor à la Folie' on the market. It's even less sweet in the dry-down! I recommend this as a blind-buy if you're a fan of that scent (but you really don't need both). Don't sleep on this one people!

VANILLA, PLUM & SUEDE with Black-Currant. Inspired by La Nuit Trésor à la Folie Lancôme this isn't a dupe, but a good approximation with a twist. Opens with a burst of plum & black-currant accented by a tart lemon note (rather than the red-currant in LNTalF), that transitions to the floral heart of heliotrope, osmanthus & jasmine. Osmanthus here bringing faintly creamy, near-apricot tones, and heliotrope bringing powdery, near-cherry tones. This all rests on a vanilla base rounded with suede and patchouli. Suede here bringing some dark powdery facets that together with vanilla evoke tonka-bean in a way that also gives me reminders of other tonka-bean scents like Good Girl Carolina Herrera way into the drydown. Another oversimplified way of describing it would be the opening of La Nuit Trésor Lancôme (OG) with the drydown of Good Girl Carolina Herrera. Has excellent performance for a year round wearing experience - hard to believe they can make this for the price. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

This reminds me of something, I just can't put my finger on what it could be. I'm leaning somewhere between the original CH Good Girl with a hint of Rihanna's Reb'l Fluer. Regardless, this is a stunning fragrance as an incredible price. This fragrance is proof that you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for a quality perfume. The fragrance project very well and lasts forever fabrics. I wore a few days ago and I'm still smelling it on my pillow (and my dog. . .). As for the fragrance notes—I'm not sure I pick up on any of the florals, but I definitely get a plummy vanilla, which I love. This fragrance is very feminine in my opinion, but I don't find it to be too "girly". It feels more grown woman, but a woman who's fully embraced herself, isn't afraid to be silly and have fun. She's feminine without really trying. I love reaching for this fragrance in the spring and summer. However, I do find that it performs better when it's a bit cooler out.

I ADORE this fragrance. She’s such an affordable beautiful feminine powdery fruity light vanilla I can wear when it gets warm. Good longevity ~5-6 hours and ok sillage, just add more sprays. What's so odd is that when I wear this fragrance, I feel so awakened and refreshed. You'd think the fruity notes would make her cloying or sticky sweet but no not at all. Very refreshing in fact. And she smells expensive $. Great price for the 125mls you get!! Update: Btw if you love this fragrance, try Dior's hypnotic posion HP. Now I get why I love this fragrance so much because it reminds me of HP!! Police has that sweet powdery almond vanilla (almond coming from the heliotrope since heliotrope apparently has almond accords!) Police is like hypnotic poison but just slightly added tropical notes, it is not a dupe of HP because of its fruitiness but it's definitely in the same vein as HP.
