To Be Exotic Jungle For Woman

Most of the reviews give the impression that this perfume is sharp or heavy. It is actually amazing, sweet and smooth, nothing nauseating or obnoxious. To me it's a safe blind buy if you like the Black Opium type of almondy woody perfumes, since this has the powdery almondy heliotrope and the earthy patchouli which is not the usual peppery spicy obnoxious patchouli in this just as it is not spicy and peppery in BO. The suede is giving that BO cashmere woody feel, without being balsamic and heavy as the cashmere note is. This is jasmine-based too like BO. The osmanthus is like a soft apricot-like floral note in this as well, and it also amplifies the overall milky effect of the perfume which pairs nicely with the buttery feel that the suede lends. I don't smell much of the leathery quality of the osmanthus here, unlike in To be My Avatar which is very leathery, but it kinda is leathery at first in the opening. The drydown is more powdery-almondy from the heliotrope. It also has an intense woody undertone that is slightly musky sour almost like sandalwood at first, perhaps the black currant effect along with the suede but it is smoother by the suede eventually later into the drydown. The plum is also the sweet ripe plum, reminiscent of the smooth woody sweet plum in Katy Perry's Indi. I def smell Indi's plum in this especially in the opening and even from the sprayer, also due to the almondy tonka of Indi and the heliotrope here, but this is just one element of To be Exotic - it doesn't entirely smell like Indi. The opening is impressive. The rest is really like the middle and base notes of Black Opium with some of the La Nuit Tresor's gourmand sweetness, even though the latter is much heavier which I don't like. It lacks the annoying coffee-orange blossom -pear blend of Black Opium, but it has a similar smooth woody almond feel, much lighter than the cashmere of BO as I said. Lasting power is amazing. I wore it on a trip and I smelled it on me even after 8 hours. This is very underrated. To me it's incredible. My new favorite for sure, I can't stop wearing it.

85% Lancôme's 'La Nuit Trésor à la Folie'. This is a literal dupe for it and a sophisticated, great-quality one at that. You can't convince me otherwise...they are on opposite arms as I test! The differences you ask? 'à la Folie' is resinous/syrupy, slightly spicier and has that subtly-distinguishable rose note. But they share the EXACT same DNA. I cannot emphasize enough how similar they are! 'Exotic Jungle' has a more juicy/fruity-sweet opening: the blackcurrant and plum are prominent. I don't get any lemons or mangoes at all. After 15 minutes they become the same amount of sweetness on my skin. Actually the suede note prevents this fragrance from becoming a vanilla-sugar overload, adding complexity. Around the 30-40 minute mark, 'à la Folie' gets SWEETER and more syrupy, while suede is more prominent on my skin with 'Exotic Jungle'. I get 0 jasmine, and the patchouli is blended exactly the same as 'à la Folie': a background player...sweet but a little earthy. In usual POLICE/Mavive Spa fashion, 'To Be Exotic Jungle' has impressive performance: massive silage and longevity, just like 'à la Folie'. I find this to be a wintertime crowd-pleaser. This could be easily worn at an office or date environment during chilly weather. It's undoubtedly elegant, feminine, luscious and sultry! Very well-blended 'To Be Exotic Jungle' is the BEST dupe for 'La Nuit Trésor à la Folie' on the market. It's even less sweet in the dry-down! I recommend this as a blind-buy if you're a fan of that scent (but you really don't need both). Don't sleep on this one people!

VANILLA, PLUM & SUEDE with Black-Currant. Inspired by La Nuit Trésor à la Folie Lancôme this isn't a dupe, but a good approximation with a twist. Opens with a burst of plum & black-currant accented by a tart lemon note (rather than the red-currant in LNTalF), that transitions to the floral heart of heliotrope, osmanthus & jasmine. Osmanthus here bringing faintly creamy, near-apricot tones, and heliotrope bringing powdery, near-cherry tones. This all rests on a vanilla base rounded with suede and patchouli. Suede here bringing some dark powdery facets that together with vanilla evoke tonka-bean in a way that also gives me reminders of other tonka-bean scents like Good Girl Carolina Herrera way into the drydown. Another oversimplified way of describing it would be the opening of La Nuit Trésor Lancôme (OG) with the drydown of Good Girl Carolina Herrera. Has excellent performance for a year round wearing experience - hard to believe they can make this for the price. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

This reminds me of something, I just can't put my finger on what it could be. I'm leaning somewhere between the original CH Good Girl with a hint of Rihanna's Reb'l Fluer. Regardless, this is a stunning fragrance as an incredible price. This fragrance is proof that you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for a quality perfume. The fragrance project very well and lasts forever fabrics. I wore a few days ago and I'm still smelling it on my pillow (and my dog. . .). As for the fragrance notes—I'm not sure I pick up on any of the florals, but I definitely get a plummy vanilla, which I love. This fragrance is very feminine in my opinion, but I don't find it to be too "girly". It feels more grown woman, but a woman who's fully embraced herself, isn't afraid to be silly and have fun. She's feminine without really trying. I love reaching for this fragrance in the spring and summer. However, I do find that it performs better when it's a bit cooler out.

I ADORE this fragrance. She’s such an affordable beautiful feminine powdery fruity light vanilla I can wear when it gets warm. Good longevity ~5-6 hours and ok sillage, just add more sprays. What's so odd is that when I wear this fragrance, I feel so awakened and refreshed. You'd think the fruity notes would make her cloying or sticky sweet but no not at all. Very refreshing in fact. And she smells expensive $. Great price for the 125mls you get!! Update: Btw if you love this fragrance, try Dior's hypnotic posion HP. Now I get why I love this fragrance so much because it reminds me of HP!! Police has that sweet powdery almond vanilla (almond coming from the heliotrope since heliotrope apparently has almond accords!) Police is like hypnotic poison but just slightly added tropical notes, it is not a dupe of HP because of its fruitiness but it's definitely in the same vein as HP.

Beautiful, easy reach to smell great to most people, not necessarily unique. Enjoyable and versatile- it rounds out and sweetens any other fragrance... It starts with a sweet fruitness- maybe the plum- and in the first minutes blends into what I imagine as a round, milky, slightly creamy, sweet vanilla (not really edible) and non-descript ripe fruit/s w'o any acidity. Feels soft around the edges from what seems like sweet ambrette/iris. Not in your face, but is present and lasts for most the day. Only down is the bottle: I can't see through to judge levels of what's left. So good.

Upon first spray, I thought wow this scent is amazing but it smells familiar. It was only when I checked fragrantica that I thought, omg, this is a much nicer version of La Nuit Tresor A La Folie. It did not first come to mind but yes, they are quite similar. Exotic Jungle is much brighter and fruitier than a la folie, where the tanginess of the fruits in the opening lasts throughout, which adds a bit more oomph to a la folie (if we are comparing). This is one for when you want to stand out, it is one of the nicest fragrances I have smelt in some time.

My signature fragrance. Stop wasting your money on high-end scents and get this instead. It smells delicious, and the performance is actually really good. I’d describe this perfume as divine feminine better than any Dior, Prada, Versace, or other high-end perfume you can think of. It smells sweet and delicious without feeling heavy. Plus, it’s affordable so I don’t feel any guilt when spraying it. I can spray it all over without the remorse you get from expensive fragrances. IMO it smells better than popular high-end perfumes.

Actually the company is very clever they made these to be line police perfume bottles so tacky so you can't carry them along bt they actually knew before that u don't even have to touch up these fragrance as these are extremely long lasting as well as sillage are also up to mark ..iam really impressed with police perfumes they r cheap bt amazing for their quality ... talking about the fragrance is sweet fruity tropical Powdery fragrance ..i absolutely loved it ..n i highly highly recommend these perfumes

Whilst I don't love the skull bottles, I have found that for the price point the range does include a few quite nice offerings, my fav being the recent Born to Shine. Anyhow, about this fruity floral, it's actually quite pleasant, more than I expected and easy to wear. It's very warm right now so I am not sure how different it will be in cooler weather, but it's a lovely daytime scent that has pleasant fruity notes. The dry down is nice and cosy. A fun youthful fragrance.

This is freaking amazing. I was nervous about this blind buy, but I absolutely love this. I don’t like Good Girl at all and this isn’t that thankfully. Definitely reminds me of Nuit Tresor à la Folie though! This is fruitier, but darkened by the subtle suede note. Extremely sexy! One of my top favourite cheapies and the best from my To Be collection. Highly recommend.

Took this out the stash to wear today because the weather is starting to warm up. I absolutely forgot how much I LOVE THIS perfume. It is a sweet, fruity scent. I definitely would characterize this as mass appealing. If you love La Vie or Opium, you will like this. This is definitely an all day scent.

The bestest ever... Better than the designer perfumes... You need only two sprays... Only two and they last for more than 6 hrs... Very sweet fragrance... Plum and patchouli are dominant.. Today is the cold day here on 24th December, and this lasts straight 10 hrs... So happy with the performance

Cheap, long lasting, sweet. A nice dupe of Lancome La Nuit Tresor a la Folie. This one performs super good on me. To Be Exotic Jungle is my favorite from this brand so far. Is this worth the price? Definitely. Will I repurchase this? 100% yes.

This one is really hard to find now. I want it so badly! I guess I'm the minority that friggin' loves the packaging 😀 Apparently it's quite similar to Lancome's 'La Nuit Tresor a la Folie', which is a beautiful perfume. Grrrr..so curious!!

The colorful skull looks cute and the juice inside is very nice dupe for La Nuit tresor a la folie - my all time favorite, sadly discontinued. So glad I have at least this alternative now. Silage is very good, longevity moderate. Love 💕

If you don't want to spend $$$ or $$ on scents then this is a really decent option. It doesn't smell super expensive but I would have paid more than $20 for it! It's a bright juicy fruity floral, with decent complexity in the base notes. The suede with the purple fruit is interesting, they're nicely pulled together with the vanilla and the patchouli gives it a tiny kick. If patchouli scares you, dw, it's barely there and balances the creamy base notes with a touch green when the fruity top notes fade. Don't judge it on first spray - the citrus blast at the start is a bit overpowering and out of place, but it leaves quickly. I like the scent but hate the bottle. Whatever. Feels like one of those one and done fragrances that can work all year round and is appropriate for every occasion.... if that's your vibe.... It's not mine! I never reach for it, but am going to try bringing it into the rotation more, because it's genuinely good and fun to wear. To Be Born To Shine is good from Police too. This brand deserves more notoriety - it's batting above it's price point.

I blind bought the smallest (40ml) bottle of this based on seeing it for a bargain price and it having a rating above 4 (4.14 which is amazing for a ‘cheapie’). These bottles are quirky and not to everyone’s taste, but they fit a lot of juice in for their relatively small size, this one in teeny! It’s sweet and very fruity. At first there’s lots of blackcurrant and a hint of lemon, but then it all blends into ‘fruity floral vanilla’. I don’t detect the individual florals, but they are there, although it’s more fruity than floral As it dries the vanilla gets a bit stronger (as it usually does), but overall it’s just ok, I’m surprised the votes are so high (although if it’s a dupe for La Nuit Tresor A la Folie that could be why, I can’t comment on that as I’ve never smelled it). Edit. Have bought la folie. This smells NOTHING like it, as it lacks the benzoin and tonka that creates all the depth in la folie. I can’t believe so many say it’s similar! Nice enough for the price, but I’m glad I didn’t get a bigger bottle.

This was a very beautiful surprise. I have a few police parfumes and I love them all so that was a reason to buy another one, because why not 🙈 but still I didn't know what can I expect... First, I don't know how and why but all parfumes from that house play with notes I "hate" and have products that I love. They never smell like that notes. How? This one, for example....I smell strong almonds, little bit of vanilla and some unidentified green plant (or maybe young wood) at the background (suede maybe?) 🤔 There is no blackcurrant shapness, citrus freshness or juicy plum 🤷🏻 This scent is beautiful to me but it is not a safe blind buy. It's winter (cold weather) warm scent and last for a minimum of 6-12h on my skin. Fade away with time but you can still smell it next morning. If you are brave try it.

This is a more linear, fruitier summer cousin to Lancome Tresor Nuit ala folie. I'm thinking of buying it to use as a summer touch up to ala folie. I love skulls and everything gothic, so a skull is always nice but the colouring of the bottle is quite insane. I somehow enjoy the god awful bottle but it is also hideous, so a love-hate towards the bottle. 🧐🙀 The scent is a strong like, not yet a love. Police, add a touch of praline and incense to this an I'll buy many bottles! 🖤 Edit: My husband bought me this as a gift and I have been reaching for it quite a bit. I love pairing it with the Brazilian Bum Bum cream to smell delicious!

The two police fragrances I have, this and Shock in Scent are very sweet, but not in a Pink Sugar type of way. Pink Sugar is literally a sugar sweet while this is gooey, dripping with syrup sweet. I get that dimension of the patchouli that anchors the jammy sweetness down and keeps it from being a linear dark berry type of syrup. Once it dries down for a bit, it resembles an actual perfume scent and pulls it out of the celebrity fragrance realm. This is definitely the type of sweet fragrance Lancôme does. I’ve only had La Vie Est Belle, so I can’t compare to La Nuit Tresor, but it has “that” Lancome DNA I can immediately recognize.

This smells very nice! Sweet but not overbearing, has a tropical feel to it. It is not original, i am sure it is a dupe for something because i have already smelled it somewhere, but anyway, it is very pleasant. Great for summer. It is not a safe blind buy, my mother-in-law said it stinks, so be warned. The only thing that i don't like is the bottle. I find these skull bottles really off putting, but the fragrance itself is worth checking. Main note to me is vanilla. Final note: 7/10

What is happennnninnnng Shock in Scent set the bar so high for Police fragrances. It is aMAZing. This starts with aggressive fabric softener. Then it gets beautifully sweet - like praline. Then it goes back to fabric softener and pulls slightly metallic? I just got it and I guess I need to spend more time with it. The middle phase is 💋 ETA okay, it softens down sweetly. I like it probably a lot.

It’s weird how people are voting that this is similar to la nuit tresor a la folie or original la nuit tresor. It is not at all.For me police is very alcoholic at first,disinfection liquid smell. nothing similar to lancome at all. But I can tell that after couple months of having it smell became a lot better,peachy vanilla. But really not like La nuit tresor a la folie

So, I blind bought this one. At first I was sceptical because of the price. Turns out, it's a lovely fruity perfume, very good longevity, and amazing price. What's not to love? Definitely a spring/summer perfume, I love it, it's hard to dislike this perfume, in fact no one told me they don't like it. Sure, they might love other perfumes more but it's a people pleaser!

Amazing for its price, especially considering how well it pairs with mugler angel fantasm. the tropical and patchouli mix very well together, definitely my fav combo. but even on it's own it stands strong, almost a reimagined version of hypnotic poison, if it had a latin siesta version. Easy reach for those days in spring and summer when you don't know what to wear.

Refreshing, light and party-worthy. Other than that, this is the kind of perfume for someone who considers animal print leggings to be a personality trait. It's a nice scent, don't get me wrong, but I have a lot of difficulty trying to picture who would consider this a day-to-day affair. All in all, I like it, but can't bring myself to wear it more often.

I wouldn't necessarily think La Nuit tresor when smelling this, I get more hypnotic Poison vibes but I guess u could see similarities to LNT. It's a nice scent and sweet, good value for the size of the bottle. The bottle looks less ugly in person and it seems like good quality 👌 Overall I'm glad I have it for the price 😌

This is a chameleon perfume. Sometimes it smells like plums, sometimes it smells like smoke and sometimes it smells like tea. Interesting. It reminds me of a less spicy seductive noir. I live in a warm place so this could be worn on a spring night or autumn/winter day.

Sure, it mirrors La Nuit Tresor, the bottle is adorbz and it smells good -you get the bang for your buck. However I am underwhelmed and never wear it. It is like eating a peanut butter & jelly sandwich on free Taco Day.

Typical sweet synthetic scent with a mix of tropical fruits. It’s okay for its price. It’s on the same level with popular body mist (or even better). I guess can be a nice scent for a teenager or a gym scent.

I can't really distinguish the notes, but it smells oh so sweet, sugary sugary fruity mix like fruit salad with extra sugar and vanilla essence.

I didn't enjoy La Nuit Tresor A la Folie very much so I'm not sure what possessed me to purchase this one based on it's similarity, but I did. And this was okay. I sprayed one spray on my wrist, and it did give great projection and it did last over 8 hours. But the scent? I had some issues with this, to me it was very sweet and rich but I could smell more so raspberry, lemon and vanilla more so than any other fruit mentioned in the notes, but the issue was there was this odd almost cat pee smell in the background of this perfume that really put me off. Maybe it was like a rotten fruit smell like rich rotten fruit in the background of a bright lemon raspberry and vanilla scent? I'm not necessarily sure but it made the scent very unpleasant to my nose at least. Otherwise it was a very rich and sweet scent, maybe in the wintertime it would be better.

It should never be said never! But really; isn't this skull cute after all? I haven’t smelled the Folie version, but I can get a resemblance to a regular La Nuit Tresor, delicious caramel, nice patchouli and sweet vanilla. Here the fruit just is a very natural ripe mango for my nose. The scents of the Police can surprise, this one too. I imagined this could be rough in strength, or superior in sweetness, but in fact this is a very balanced and pleasant blend. Sweet, yes. Intense, yes. Definitely worth a try!

This is a generic, but still nice scent. Tropical, summer scent. Smells very familiar to many other perfumes. When I say the silage and strength are horrid, you better believe me. I can barely smell it even when I smell my wrist. I am sick, so maybe that's why, but I don't like weak scents. It's fruity, but the vanilla gives it gourmand after a while. The suede is very recognisable as well. Honestly, I like the scent, it smells comforting, like a summer day in the 60s.

Sweet, warm, soft, edible scent with not too much black currant. I hate black currant in perfumes and there is almost non (just a slight echo of one, bearable). Plum is ripe and autumny, vanilla is cakey, flowers are there but not overwhelming and I only wish suede was more prominent. With the price it's a great deal for fall and winter! I love it! I am not sure about Lancome, at first sniff it reminds me more of Black Opium just with no coffee note.

I own this and Nuit Tresor a la Folie, and they smell very similar, at least at first. As they dry down a few minutes, I enjoy the Police version less and less. This perfume gets that synthetic sour fruit note in the dry down for me- that i am starting to see I don't particularly like. Lancome's Nuit Tresor Folie just stays good start to finish.

This is a loud fruity perfume - as it's name suggests, it smells quite tropical, but it is too heavy to be worn in actual summer weather in my opinion. The scent has quite a strong mango vibe.

I wanted to love this - the bottle is so cute!! And I do really like the fruity top and the vanillic late dry down, but what kills me is the mid. There is a halitosis quality that comes out and just hangs for so long, and I find it very off-putting. I don't know what note or accord causes this but I'm afraid I'm going to have to let it go.

This is a very loud and cloying sweet scent. You smell the plum and vanilla right off the bat, but the latter is the dominant scent. It's not even a soft vanilla, but an extremely sweet vanilla. You can get a whiff of the lemon you press your nose to your skin, but it doesn't last long. I can't smell any of the floral notes either. While I do enjoy sweet scents, this is too sweet. You don't need more than a couple of sprays, because that could induce nausea, and I think this is one of those scents that has the potential to cause a headache, with the initial spritz for those with sensitive noses. It lasts quite long, around 10+ hours on my skin. I don't think this would be work place appropriate. I think it's a winter scent and quite limited as to where you could wear it, because of how strong it is. Finally, it's not a perfume I would repurchase or recommend as a blind buy.

I think this would be good if this one note, I'm assuming it's the suede, would not be there. That note, on my skin at least, is like a weird stale or sour cocoa powder or milk, not sure what, but it's super off-putting. That note also makes it impossible for me to see it as a summer or tropical scent. I usually don't say I hate a perfume but I had such a visceral reaction to this one that I considered automatically throwing in the trash (usually I try to donate or give to family/friends). I bought as a blind buy due to all the good reviews but it's a definite heck no for me.

To Be Exotic Jungle is a scrubber. It is generic and synthetic with an indistinct yet harsh note which gives me an immediate headache.

I think this is going to be a very good scent for cold weather. Same as it happened with other sweet perfumes, it doesn't seem to develop to its full potential in warm/went climate. To me this opens up super generically, like Olympea [and Police Miss Beat], nothing special, just some 'sweet floral fruity whatever-chouli', it's slightly powdery and dusty but absolutely nothing to write home about. It smells like a mix of Hypnotic Poison [a very generic vanilla in my view] mixed with shampoo [a hint of Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy] and some soap. It isn't strong or creamy, just faint and generic. Maybe I am becoming anosmic, as most people can feel my perfumes while I can't detect anything after a few hours. Of all the Police perfumes this was the most disappointing as I expected tart juiciness or something in the family and absolutely did not get it. Could be the weather though - willing to give it another chance. EDIT: As I have seen on YT that Sarah Mayes was shaking the bottle [of another Police perfume I think] & talking about giving it more time to develop as the fragrance smelled differently after a while than in the beginning, I decided to do the same. It does feel tartier and juicier today [3rd day after the first use], fingers crossed.

There is so much to love here! This absolutely shocked me in a good way. I swear they had a meeting, got an amazing perfumer and said make a strong beautiful good quality perfume that smells amazing but we are putting it in the ugliest bottle around and see if people can overlook that and still buy it because what's inside counts 😅.... I absolutely love this its amazing. This is such a pretty vanilla floral with a fruity opening and a lovely floral middle with a vanilla suede dry down. Stunning..... lasts well for such a cheap perfume. The bottle is great quality and heavy not cheap at all but so ugly but I don't care! Look past the bottle and the price and spray it on, give it time to meld with skin and be amazed 🥰

One of favorite bottles in my entire collection. This is a fruity scent that dries down vanilla. It’s beautiful! I find this sweet but not cloying and perfect for any occasion in my opinion. Can’t go wrong with this if you like fruity scents with vanilla. I love suede in scents but can’t really detect it in this one. I think it its a great gifting perfume with the scent being safe and the bottle being fun! Especially for someone in LE (wink wink) I highly suggest this one! Update: I’ve been loving suede scents. I layered this one with another suede scent that’s very dry and needed a sweet touch, coach (original). Together, absolutely divine!

I legitimately hate all the skull perfumes from Police. They all either give me a headache or smell so disgusting and synthetic, thankfully I got them all on clearance 16-25$ price range, but they arent even worth that. This was the only tolerable one of the bunch. I can see the similarities to Mon Guerlain. It is sharp with a touch of sweetness and powdery, but I'm still undecided if i want to keep it. ~25 dollars is acceptable for this, but honestly if I had the chance to smell before I bought it I probably wouldn't have bought it.

I've tried these in cooler months and they're not much really. I'm not as impressed as some of you are. It's very hot today, Jungle isn't quite as simple as I thought. I wouldn't say it's a step up from the sweet celeb scents, though maybe a step sideways. I don't get the 'simple and thin' feel so much. This kne is powdery, sweet, rounded, maybe at a push anise plum sort of thing, it's a touch flat but I'll see what it does on my skin, I am 2 hours in
