TO BE The Queen

I tried this yesterday and I am very excited like I haven't been for a long time. After all those long months or searching, I have finally found a fragrance for summer. Ironically, outside it looks like fall right now. Now that doesn't mean this is a fragrances suited for summer. It could be more of a fall scent for someone. I'm just that kind of person that likes heavy fragrances. I always have a problem with finding summer fragrances because frankly, all those fragrances designed for summer are too boring for me. I'm looking for something fresh, but not plain, strong and classy but not too heavy, original and with very good staying power for more than 7 hours. That's exactly what TO BE Queen is. After the first spritz on my hand, it was so fresh it hit my nose. Unbeknown to what the actual notes are, I have thought it's something like peppermint and oranges. Turns out it's actually petitgrain, patchouli and oranges that hit me in the opening. After a couple of hours all the freshness became subtle and vanila started to play it's role. The kind of mild soothing vanila, not synthetic, in your face vanila. I cannot exactly tell what's the ending of this fragrance like, because I went to bed. That's how long it lasted - more than 7 hours. But I can assure you that nothing went wrong with it. Just the freshness disappeared completely and was replaced by mild woody notes with vanila still lingering. This is definitely a must buy for me. Some of you might not be impressed by TO BE Queen, but something like this that works with my chemistry (which is more suited for orientals and florals)is a keeper for me.

Very synthetic beginning to end, but in the best possible way. I do get the fruity dry pineapple note. I also do get the patchouli, though I have to say I find it by far not as strong as some other people. I own(ed) quite a few of Mugler fragrances, which albeit mesmerizing really relentlessly punch you in the back of your nose with concentrated patchouli from beginning to end. In comparison this one has just a few leaves for garnishing. Other than that it is quite powdery. Sweet, yes. But rather muted. If I had to describe what it smells like I'd say it's a freshly opened bag of marshmallows where somebody mixed in some chunks of dried pineapple and a few leaves of patchouli. The sweetness here is really much like that powdery dusting on marshmallow type candies. It does give me a nice scent bubble without being too loud. Longevity could be better - I get 3-5 hrs - but at the price I don't mind reapplying all that much. I have to say I was not instantly in love with this one. I found it pleasant from the start, yet a bit too synthetic. It took me a few months to really learn to appreciated. Now I really love it as a cozy uplifting day fragrance. Soft, feminine, a little playful. Also, my husband loves this on me. It never fails to get me a compliment from his side. Nevertheless, as it seems to be a little bit on the polarizing side, I'd only recommend a blind buy if you want the fragrance no matter what just for the bottle. Else try to test it first. Again, it's very very synthetic and thus potentially just not everybody's cup of tea.

I blind bought this scent, let it sit for a few weeks after some initial gasoline note I detected and after this time it is a total love for me. Somehow it occurred by skin projects pineapple like crazy, devouring all the other notes in fragrances. Given this, To Be The Queen is purely pineapple on me, definitely with no prominent patchouli, which just gives it some nuance/depth. It's natural smelling, very wearable, fresh and delicious on me, with remarkable longevity for the price - I guess my skin chemistry is in agreement with the juice and takes what's best in it. I'd say this is your spring/summer version of the Star by Mauboussin, if you're a pineapple lover. How I perceive it on my skin, I wouldn't agree it's for younger audience - fresh and sweet fruit is just genderless and ageless experience, especially for summer.

So much sharp, sweet, lovely pineapple! The citrus does indeed explode. It's very sweet, but saved from being cloying by the sharp, fresh fruits, I'm not usually a fan of patchouli--or indeed fruitchoulis, which this definitely is--but in To Be the Queen it all works, somehow, and for once I find the patchouli intoxicating. Maybe the violet and vanilla and musk ground it just right. I swear I could catch a hit of unlisted aniseed or basil, too. Surprisingly complex and multilayered, strong, long lasting, amazing. I am finding the To Be line consistently startling, not at all what I managed, and all kinds of wonderful.

I absolutely adore this perfume! The smell is like a perfect blend of vanilla and fruit with the pineapple being a stand-out note. It has instantly leapt to my favourite daytime perfume spot and is such a cheap price for such an amazing perfume. It seems to last for hour on me too which is brilliant! The only downside I've found is that the bottle has a very plastic feel which is a shame but for that scent it could've come out of a water bottle for all I care! Seriously 10/10!

I had never bought from this brand before, but the bottle was super cute, the price was super low, and the notes looked like something I would wear or at the very least layer. I was so surprised at how much I actually liked this. I get so many compliments from both men and women. The women want to wear it and the men want to wear ME! A few sprays last all day!

Oh my god! This is one real beauty! Sweet, strong, very fruity, but finds the perfect balance between the vanille note and the fruits. Kinda strong one on me, so after a day of wearing TO BE Queen, I can easily say that the sillage and the longetivity are amazing! Only two sprays last 12 hours, and it's not even gone yet! Wow, I LOVE it!!!

My daughter has and wears this fragrance, we bought it together from DM I love it on her... It's warm, cosy and flirty For a 12 year-old is perfect Longevity on her is more than 12 hours on clothes (although I think she spritzed once or twice on hair, too); sillage more than great

I only got this 💀 👑 to be a queen 🤍white skull,along with to be a king black 🖤 skull to display against each other on my dresser as a theme&decor,so I didn't really care how it smelled, However this smells better to me less masculine than to be a king, this smells like a fresh uplifting mango with background woodsy notes,even though mango is not a note,it's a fresh good smelling mango to me&my chemistry,not bad okay for casual scent fruity freshie,harmless &more for a casual day,more of a skin scent ,lasts 3-6hrs on skin longer on clothing,at price that's okay&love my new decor,haha,but it's not bad. I'm happy I don't get 🍍 &that the fruits other notes just made it a mango paradise for me♡great for cheapie. UPDATE◇After owning this awhile it now has a nasty metal smell?¿? Anyway thought I'd update,got for the bottle,so no loss.°•°•☆•°•°

There was one very popular fragrance when I was in my very early 20s. I go out there it is, I go to shop there it is, university there it is...but I didn't know the name. Now I know...10y too late 😂 I liked it then (it was somehow cozy and familiar) and now I like it because it reminds me of that great time of my life. It's fruity, sweet (but not too sweet) and light. Ideal for day and all seasons. I wouldn't recommend it to 35+ woman because it's scream youth and madness. If you are looking for a great present for your daughter (not too young daughter) this is perfect.

I wasn't at all impressed when I bought it, even after several tries. I have no idea what happened, but when I gave it one last go six months later I loved it! Pineapple is one of my favorite notes and I'm a patch lover as well. This isn't very sweet, something I adore. Will certainly buy a bigger bottle! Update: sorry Police, but after venturing into niche territory I am back to not reaching for this anymore. If you like TO BE and love pineapple as much as I do I would highly recommend you to try 1804 by Hdp!

Aloha!! Pineapple overload to begin with... Lots of Citrus and Petitgrain that adds a sharp edge note of peel and green orange blossom leaves. Peach Brandy for sweetness and a hint of cough syrup, that must be the Red Berries. As it warms up there are rising notes of powdery Violet and sensual Patchouli. Finishing notes of Cedar, Vanilla and Musk, round this fragrance off perfectly. Fantastic. delicious and totally wearable.

I'm changing my mind on this one. At first I didn't like it but now it's really grown on me. I'm getting mostly patchouli with tropical fruits but it's definitely more on the sweet/synthetic end which would probably still stop me from wearing a lot of it, but the scent itself is actually a lot nicer than I remember. I'd also like to add that for its price, the atomiser on this thing is amazing quality.

Blind buy. I really just wanted the bottle for my vanity. I slapped some thick gothy eyeliner on today, and needed something dark and serious to wear with it, but not as dark as L’agent. This was perfect. Spicy, citrusy, darkness. Summery, but with a bite. It’s a touch masculine, but the citrus brightens it up. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about wearing this all day, but I love it.

Pineapple and patchouli bomb for sure. It opens up with some fresh fruity scent and turns into a dry, artificial pineapple scent mixed with tons of patchouli and a lil bit of powdery scent. But hey, it last for good 6-7 hours on me! If you're not a big fan of patchouli, better to stay away from this one. Will I repurchase this one? No, I like To Be Exotic Jungle better than this one.

So I'll admit that i bought this for the bottle. (At £10 for a bottle, it was a good blind buy.) It was in clearance at Superdrug last winter, so I bought 2; one as a Secret Santa present for a skull-loving colleague at work! She loved it. It's pretty sweet and fruity, like sweets at halloween... a bit of fun for the dressing table. It can't always be serious perfumes, after all.

Bubbly, plastic-y (synthetic) patchouli. Initial spray is a floral blast to my nose but calms down within moments to a nice unisex spicy-sweet patchouli. Again, plastic-y/synthetic, but I quite like this. This is a scent I will gravitate towards more during summer months. EDIT: the late drydown is reminiscent of powdery cosmetics/lipstick

I find this deep, warm, musky and cedary (I know it's not a word but you know what I mean) on me. I completely understand why people find this masculine. Having said that, that's not an issue at all for me - I love it. On my skin I find it reminiscent of Womanity. If your after a light sweet fruity scent , this is not it.

Do not hate in first smell!! I hated this perfume even tho i like angel but i let it rest and smelled it after a month. It smells a lot like angel now. (if you dont like patchouli of course you wont like it) I reccomend this very cold winter days but its not blind buy safe definetly.

I'm really tempted to get this. I love the orange and pineapple with the powdery-ness at the bottom. Five minutes in, and it does smell a little male or at least unisex to me. I wish the tang of the fruit lasted a little longer. In terms of value it's a gorgeous smell for the price.

this smells like pure pineapples at first. like you’ve just dived head first into a load of pineapple syrup or something. very sweet and delicious but cloying. after it dries down it smells a little bug spray esquire but only close up. i really like it

Smelt this today in Superdrug. I love it but a I have similar scents I couldn't justify buying. Sweet, fresh and non-offensive. I don't like the bottle though!

It's not a bad scent, it just doesn't last long enough. Can't smell it after about an hour.

Police has lot of very nice perfumes with very budget friendly prices.I believe "to be queen"is also one of them.a good perfume for it's price,but unfortunately it's not another police that I like,oh well,I don't hate it but I don't like it as I love police forbidden,rose bloom and police dark.it's may be because I'm not intrested in most fruitchoulis and this is definitely a fruitchouli.a loud and heavy fruitchoul. with a masculine undertone There's also vanilla but still main players are fruit notes and patchouli It opens very sharp like a fruit bomb,I can detect all the fruits listed here,pineapple,redberries,sweet orange and peach.it's sweet but also has a fruity sourness.I can also detect patchouli from the first whiff which gives a masculine edge to intense fruits.I can't say it's bad.just not my taste.intense fruitchouli doesn't let florals to show up.so it's first hours is all about sweet fruits wrapped in heavy sourish patchouli Drydown is much better.vanilla,which isn't still among main notes,balances the scent.it's not too sharp anymore and is sweeter To be queen is a very strong scent,It's very longlasting (+10 hours on skin)with huge sillage.It's very potent and everyone will notice you.if you're looking for a girly and softly sweet floralfruity or a ladylike and elegant fragrance it's not that one.to be queen is very potent with a masculine vibe so it's not everyone's cup of tea.I find it's skull bottle cute but it's also tacky and made of cheap plastic I believe it's good for mild weather,like spring and summer nights and fall.although it has a freshness from fruits,it can be very irritating in heat because of it's intensity I bought it along with to be king for my hubby(I like male version much better)and I really don't know what to do with my 4.2 oz bottle,I'd never be able to use even a quater of it It's not safe for blindbuy,make sure to try it,because if you like it,you'd have a strong and longlasting perfum with a very good price ❤❤ P.s: more than 4 hours after wearing it my 7 came home,as soon as he entered home(2meters away from where I was sitting)he told me:wow!what a nice smell.it's very different from what you usually wear I was really surprised because he's very picky about perfumes and usually doesn't like strong scents.his comment made me decide give this perfume more time

Another Police scent where I’m just getting an overwhelming gasoline-chemical smell. I’m also getting a bug-spray menthol thing going. I’m not sure if I’m anosmic to some of this company’s ingredients, or what. I’m letting it sit in the back of the closet to macerate for a bit to see if it gets better. :( Update: After 3 months sitting, this has become better! Still very very synthetic, and LOTS of cedar. Smells unisex to me. My husband complimented it though.

This was a blind buy. I thought the skull-looking bottle was so cute. I ain't mad at it, no, it's something I'll wear often, maybe, but I will layer it for sure. It's not so bad. It's a fruity semi-floral fragrance to my nose for the price, I ain't mad at it.

This is the first To Be flanker that I don't like. I've experimented and enjoyed many others, so I was fully prepared to be hit with a blast of synthetic-something. But the combination of fruity sweetness and patchouli and reminding me of Dots Gumdrops. There's something peppery (patchouli i guess) that is bordering on those spice drop notes of cinnamon, clove, anise, spearmint, sassafras and wintergreen... all the things I HATE. Even if you removed the spice, it's just TOO fruity for me. Too much like a bag of gummy bears. If there were other things going on to add some complexity, something to balance it out... a floral, a nutty layer, some powder, something- I'd probably like it better. I'm no stranger to fruity gourmands, but this is too one dimensional for me. Still, can't complain, considering the super cheap price. I've been lucky with my previous flankers.

This is a ghastly perfume both to my nose and to my eyes, unfortunately :( I had read some praising opinions in a group so I went to test it: a slightly wet, cold, sour patchouli blast is what greeted me and I agree with some of the reviewers below, it smelled very masculine at this point, I even had to check if I had grabbed the right tester. After which the sour dimension went increasingly louder and also sweeter. It never left tart / juicy territory and the intensity was quite strong. It also stayed on my wrist for a good few hours. Perhaps I didn’t understand this fragrance, but to me it was a cacophony of notes that I got no satisfaction from at all.

I am kind of confused with this fragrance. Thus, I think I wouldn't have bought it, even for 11 euros that it is on the net (In my country it costs 23). Anyway, I am mixed because it is a nice perfume but...for a guy. I just tried on a shelf yesterday. In the begining I thought that it is awful as a petitgrain cloud suffocate me. After an hour or so, it became more musky and I could smell the cedar. But it also became too masculine for my tastes. I would have liked it if I would have smelled it on a guy, but not on me. But, for the women that like kind of masculine (maybe unisex) perfumes, this one is good. It reminded me a little of Bvlgari black.

I really like the bottle, in looks way better in person. There is a lot of cool detail on the crown. I purchased this online, purely just because, I liked the bottle. As soon as it arrived, and I sprayed it, it was pure dislike! I was hoping that I would be able to smell some of the fruit notes, but all I smell is a strong Carmex smell. Yes, to me it smells exactly like the Carmex lip balm that you put on your severely chapped lips. I definitely will NOT be being using this perfume, at least the bottle looks cute on my dresser. I also paid way to much for it to begin with (about $50.00 for the large bottle):(

One line in the cons section says it smells like a bug spray to some, and yes it does! Patchouli and cedar, with some forced, artificial powdery fruityness. I don't mind about the ridiculous bottle desing when it comes to perfumes, the content what matters. But in case of Police, the bottle says it all. Cheap (at least in price as well), superficial creation with no sillage and longevity. That's what the 125 ml bottle for, to spray it like there's no tomorrow.

This one I don't care for there is a metallic note in this&it's whole vibe is far to masculine &not in a good way,I where both mens,women's unisex fragrances,just can't with this, almost like under arm bo mixed with mango&metal...but I'm not disappointed because I bought this for the bottle&I actually like some other police scents,just this one is horrible to me,I love trying new things tho 💋

the patchouli is so overpowering to me. i generally dislike patchouli (although i usually tolerate it in fruity blends) and this proved that to me once again. i literally can’t smell anything else after the first few seconds...mugler’s angel had the same effect on me and it’s just not my style:/

All Police perfumes, that I have tried, smell artificial. Perhaps there is an audience for this type of fragrance, but for floral lovers, this cannot pass.

Patchouli pineapple bomb with cedar, too heavy for me..

EDIT: MONTH 2: This kitschy bottle keeps calling me back! My son brought me back to this, when he said, "the top smells really, really good. Too bad the perfume doesn't". I just sprayed some in the air and on my navel while already wearing Pink Sugar and believe it or not-- I think I found the solution! Mix Pink Sugar with this bug bomb and I have something quite pleasing!!!! Also, cloying pineapple that fights w/ the patchouli is starting to fade. Thoughts? INITIAL REVIEW: I am sadly, so disappointed in this blind buy and I'm surprised I'm not reading this anywhere else. BUGSPRAY-- that's all I got. I like all of these notes, so what is the issue? I will spray it on another day, in case it's just me but BOO HOO b/c I really wanted it to work. The bottle is so kitschy-- I love it but the smell- oh, the smell. Day 3: I've sprayed this on while at home on summer vacay and I can smell the patchouli and sandalwood/incense/vanilla a little more during dry down. I really want to like this but maybe it's the faux pineapple or citronella that I smell like barbeque decor candles. I'm afraid that this will sit with some of my other fragrances that I enjoy in theory (like Nina Ricci's L'Air du Temps and Arden's Red Door) but can only wear occasionally at home.

I blind bought this off a FB group recommendation (dumb dumb dumb) and OMG it was awful!! First spray hit me with grandpas Old Spice mixed with bug spray and gasoline. After dry down it was an odd, powdery, artificial sweet scent. I made Amazon refund my money since it couldn't be returned. I didn't care for it at all. I let it sit for a couple weeks and tried again. Nope, not any better. I eventually tossed it because the bottle is too big and tacky and was taking up too much space. I didn't even want to give it to anyone because I was embarrassed by how horrible and cheap it smelled on me.

I've had this for years, it was a blind buy because I love skulls and I loved the kitschy bottle. I almost wonder if I got a "bad batch" or it's a dupe (I don't think FragranceX would purposefully sell a dupe, especially of something already so cheap). This smells disgusting on me and to me. I wish I got what I'm reading others do in this. It's instant bugspray to me. So disappointing based on the reviews. The pineapple is non existent to me. It's dark sticky patchouli (not an incense patchouli) mixed with fruit. It's bloody disgusting. Synthetic hell. Bottle's still cute.

This is a very strong patchouli scent, quite masculine although sweet. There is a powdery quality to the scent as well. This is a femme fatale scent - very very strong, assertive. Not bad, but I agree with previous reviews that said the patchouli feels 'unbalanced' - this is a pure patchouli scent to me, basically. If that's your cup of tea, look no further!

I cant even describe how much i hate this perfume it’s absolutely vile disappointed me a lot since i bought this just by looking at its bottle.

I am so happy that I like this perfume, and that it's an affordable Police 125 ml bottle. Really beautifully done, a feminine scent fit for any occasion I'd say, not too invasive, not too sweet, not too dry ... not much else to ask for! I find the violet is very creamy and sweet, giving it that tiny 'sting' from Angel or Alien, the slightly sharp note blending in with the other notes. I never detected any violet in Halloween for example, even if that one is allegedly violet-based. This one is sweet but fresh at the same time, without being overpowering or cloying. My only remark is that it's not so strong, I have to reapply within 1 hour max as it turns into a skin scent quite fast. Maybe it's my skin chemistry or my expectations, as I'm quite fond of strong perfumes and expect strong trails and longevity. However this isn't an issue for me because the bottle is quite large & the product is affordable, so I can spray way. If you like sweet but elegant scents, very feminine, like floral versions of the sugar bombs, then this is for you.

I certainly do not think the vanilla note is so strong in this, yes it is the base but it is not so detectable. And I'm happy it isn't because I'm not a vanilla-lover :) I think it's mostly citrusy and I can detect the peach and red berries notes, without it being too fruity-fruity; it's far from tropical. The sillage you get is moderate to heavy, and I think it is suitable for a fragrance like this. The sillage does not trigger migraine because although it is potent, it is still pleasant, like a soft cloud. This is a killer fragrance, two grown men have given me their reviews - one really liked it and the other absolutely loved it. If it appeals to the opposite sex then it must be good!

I feel like I'm on something, this is perfume 4 from this line I'm trying and NONE of these perfumes smell remotely like anything people are saying in the reviews. This doesn't smell bad to me but it isn't particularly fruity... I mean I smell some orange in there but to me this is more floral/woodsy than anything... reminds me of the style of Chloe nomade absolu, or nest black tulip or nest indigo. Yes, I tried it again and it really just smells like black tulip. Not bad, it's kind of a sexy scent, doesn't last very long though and the sillage isn't super strong. Weirdly enough it also reminds me of bath and body works black raspberry vanilla mist.

I am a lover of all things gourmand, caramel-y, sweet, sugary... but I'm running out of new scents to try! (I'm an addict) So today I got To Be Queen, and while I agree with the others that there is a sour/Carmex note... I'm still really digging this pefume. Upon a deep inhale I smell the sour pineapple and then this creamy vanilla. I can't stop huffing. It's also a little masculine... But overall, for the price I paid, I like this. Edit... this is just too manly, and smells a lot like body odor. It lasts FOREVER and thru washing..... so if you dig this scent... get it. I need it to be more gourmand/sweet to work on me. :(

I must say for £23.99 on Superdrug on sale, you can't go wrong with this if you are into strong powerful scents with a scent of fruits but not too much and a mix of vanilla/amber. I came across this perfume as a gift initially. I used it continuously and found that I started missing it when it finished. It finished approx 8 months ago and have been yearning for the smell ever since. I recently purchased it myself and I have to say, I am surprised they make such a great perfume. It lasts long and can smell it on clothing the next day and day after.

Bought this for my esposa halfway joking because of my love of scents and skulls, and her....not so much. I liked the note breakdown, and when she does wear a fragrance she doesn’t like it to be “girly girly” sweet/floral and all that. I gotta say, this opens up pretty sweet and soft to me, very feminine, but the dry down IMO is 95% *confident* unisex. I feel you either own this dry down or it owns you. Overall not a bad frag at all to my nose.
