Infusion de Gingembre

A beautiful, photorealistic, zingy ginger scent. Not the lightest, but a bright, effervescent, vibrant one. And to give it credit, it doesn’t smell like other ginger perfumes on the market, so it wins points for uniqueness. The Infusion line from Prada has to be the most appropriate for someone who wants a straightforward, one note dominant perfume, appealing and easy to wear on a daily basis. If you’re new to ginger and don’t know how exactly you feel about it in perfumes, Infusion de Gingembre is an ideal option. It’s paired with some green citrus and white musk that I think most of people would like. Add a bit of sparkling aldehyde and a clean, dry vetiver. Speaking about complexity, Infusion de Gingembre is a simple, linear, clean, but well put together perfume! Moderate lingering power and a soft sillage. Very much appropriate for warm temperatures, since has a pronounced fresh spicy, aldehidic feel. Might be alright for late spring days as well, but it’s not a strong scent, which is its own downfall. Otherwise, it’s a stellar illustration of ginger note... Even though ginger is a unisex note, the way it is mixed with other notes in this juice, makes it more feminine leaning IMO. rom the very beginning, the scent opens with a beautifully spicy and fizzy ginger note, reminiscent of the aroma when you pop open a ginger beer. The strong spiced ginger is both uplifting and refreshing, making it perfect for a summer day. This impressive opening lasts for about 30 minutes. After that, the scent becomes closer to the skin for the next five hours as the strong ginger gradually fades, giving way to a powdery and woody aroma that complements the softer ginger. I could still detect the scent on my skin up to the sixth hour if I put my nose close to it. Overall, this is a fantastic fragrance, and Prada did a remarkable job with it. The opening is exceptional, evoking the feeling of enjoying a nice cold ginger beer on a warm summer day. While the projection isn't excellent after the first 30 minutes, it lingers, and you can perceive it more when out in the heat. The scent is marketed as unisex, and it truly is; it doesn't lean towards any particular gender, making it enjoyable for anyone who likes ginger. In short, I highly recommend sampling this one—it's a definite yes from me!

As others have mentioned, it is a very unique, classy yet approachable fragrance. Suitable for spring, summer, or signature. It smells like fresh ginger and that iconic Prada powder scent. It’s grown on me as I’ve aged, the Prada powder, I mean. When I was little, I remember smelling it often in the pages of elle and vogue. Now my signature lip is a Prada lip balm and it has that Prada powder scent, too. But if you are adverse to powdery notes, this is definitely not one I recommend blind buying. I do think it’s a pretty safe wear, though, in terms of being around others while wearing this.

I got this as a sample and I've been able to stretch it for several applications. You don't need a lot, just a few strategic spritzes. The longevity is good! It's really fresh and spicy, and you can tell it's a good quality fragrance. I've been layering it with Elizabeth Arden White Tea EDP. The ginger note ties in really well with the aromatic, spa-like, fragrance of the White Tea. I think it's possible to get really creative with Prada's infusion line when it comes to layering since each fragrance features one dominant note. The longer I wear this the more I love it.

Les Infusions Gingembre by Prada created by Daniela Roche Andrier is a joyful aromatic fragrance, where citrus notes blend with vibrant and lively energetic notes of ginger and mandarin. Notes magically amplified by aldehydes. On a reassuring, woody, soft and musky base. The temporal olfactory evolution brings out elegant floral notes of fresh geranium and vigorous and earthy vetiver, notes that give the olfactory experience refinement and full awareness of the body of the blend.

Opens bright - sharp, spicy & refreshing. The dry down is slightly sweet, creamy and comforting without being cloying. Smells a bit like hotel soap as others have said, but also a little like lemon sorbet. Worth trying. Edit: I prefer the dry down; after 30 mins the sweetness settles down a little bit and the vetiver comes through more prominently. Personally I prefer less sweet fragrances (others might wish that it stayed sweeter all the way through the wearing).

I agree it is a very sharp ginger opening, it is blowing with a ginger&vetiver combo and a lil mandarin on the background. Vetiver is nice and very Prada-ysh (it is classy, not herbal like Guerlain). So overall it is a fresh summer fragrance, unisex for sure, and it is not very complex, it fits Prada infusion line idea. If you are looking for a fresh summer frag and don't like typical lemon-lemongrass-bergamot mess, so here it is Mr. Ginger as an option

Last winter I was obsessed with ginger tea, so naturally I wanted to have the smell of ginger around me all day. This fulfilled my ginger craving in perfume form and it was exactly what I was looking for in a ginger perfume: zingy and fresh without being too dry or spicy. Just gorgeous! I tested this during the winter so I’m curious how it will smell on my skin during the summer

Wow! What a beauty! Elegant and light, but it's still there like a kind breeze in citrus garden on a warm day. I could inhale this all the time, it's so so lovely. The only weak point is that it doesn't last long. I would definitely like to add this to my collection some day. Now I only have a tiny sample but it's a big tresure for me. Highly recommend!

Wow this actually good. Unisex fresh but can be worn by a male. Dries down to a dry vetiver. A summer bottled. Usually do not like niche scents but I like the balance. This execution is above similar concepts like Herbes Vives and Eau Givrée imo. Get some Dolce Gabbana Light Blue Intense associations also with the Citric dryness.

So good, so straighforward ginger in your face. It is very fresh with a citrus cologne background (lemony, a bit rosy and mandarin) while also preserving the elegant DNA of the infusion series. This is very good for summer.

A powdery-fizzy ginger-orange soap, fine and not too fresh but perfect for warm weather. Summer elegance in a bottle☀️ Edit: and it lasts very well on skin even after shower and on clothes till next day

I tried this in a store because Damiano David said he was using it (lol yes I’m easily influenced) and immediately fell in love with it. I’m starting to suspect that I’m a vetiver lover.

It’s one of the most realistic ginger note in the perfumery, if not the most realistic one. But it’s a shame the extremely low longevity, so it wasn’t worth the price for me.

The ginger note here comes from the core of the ginger, not from its juice, peel, or the lighter volatile parts. It is a very heavy note, honestly, like hot ginger drink, and it feels very realistic. I would not be surprised if it is natural. The orange note is weak or almost absent. The dominant note is the ginger core, to the point that you barely smell anything else. It is not a very fresh fragrance, so I am not sure when it is best worn. It does not feel suitable for extreme heat. However, the scent is good and different, though not excellent. The quality is high and natural, which is its main strength. Before trying it, I wondered whether the ginger note would last or just appear briefly in the opening like most ginger fragrances. Here, it lasts throughout the entire wear. Longevity is excellent, like most fragrances from this line. I am not sure about As the fragrance develops, a geranium rose note starts to appear, and it is noticeable. Not excellent, but a different scent. Not fresh, not heavy, high quality and natural. 7.5/10

Infusion de Gingembre the latest simple-yet-elegant addition to this line. Prada's Infusions tend to be subtle, good-quality scents, focused on the named note. IdG is no exception - it features a photorealistic ginger note up top, dominant throughout, but lifted by the inspired addition of aldehydes. I like a good ginger note in perfume, but ginger-dominant scents often disappoint me. However, this is really well done. IdG opens with a freshly-chopped ginger note, bracing and spicy. The aldehydes add soapy brightness, rounding out the tangy ginger nicely, forming a compelling but wearable accord. The orange note follows after a little while, adding juicy freshness. It complements the aldehydic-ginger accord nicely without dominating. It becomes predictably woody and musky as it dries down, a fitting conclusion to a scent of this profile. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a spring/summer daytime scent, like most of the other Infusions, and is unisex. Simple yet creative, IdG is a great, wearable take on a ginger-dominant scent that brings something a little different to the table. 4/5.

Another great fragrance from perfumer Daniella Roche Andrier. Yes, it’s gingery, but it’s buttoned up and has it’s shit together. I think this as more of a Spring/Fall fragrance. More unisex than L’Homme or the Luna Rossa line. Very versatile I think anyone okay with ginger could pull it off.

This is, for me, a delightfully soft and unisex vetiver and white musk fragrance. The sparkly effervescent ginger opening (all top notes, no rooty, earthy darkness) gives way to a sheen of sweetness over green citrus and a clean vetiver base.

This is the only fragrance carried at Sephora that has stood out to me and satisfied me probably ever and that’s all subjective but 👌 although the spicy ginger mellows out I think it’s a nice pick me up and not a bad value for the travel size

I just tested this perfume today. It's very unique and fresh. I think it would a be chic everyday perfume. It really makes me think of fresh sliced ginger and it's juices. This is what I imagine a luxe asian hotel would smell like.

Smells exactly like ginger ale or ginger beer. A single spray goes a long way! Strong sillage and longevity. If you are looking for a fresh, zingy, ginger dominant fragrance with musk and vetiver as the base, try Liu Jo Glam.

Very sparkling and effervescent. Very realistic representation of bight ginger and mandarin. The composition is very refreshing and suitable for day wear especially in scorching hot weather.

Classy, easy, simple but effective.

The initial spray was so damn near to actual ginger I instantly regretted putting it on my skin. I got this as a freebie sample, I would never get it myself cause i despise ginger but this pleasantly surprised me. After the initial spray it transformed into this bright albeit synthetic orange and was tolerable to smell. However i see no instance where anyone would wear this. If i met someone wearing this I would physically distance from them beacuse its not all that delightful to smell for long periods of time.

I thought the reviewer below was exaggerating, but she was spot on when she said it lasts all of 20 minutes. Doesn't even dry down to a skin scent...there is just no trace of it. The opening was bright and gingery, but with a designer perfume DNA. It's not an offensive scent, but performs worse than a toilet spray.

Crisp, bold, and zingy. This fragrance could be worn year round, but I especially imagine it shining during the warmer months (that said, a spray or 2 will do; this is not a weak perfume). I initially felt it leaned feminine. After a 2nd spray, I understood why many consider it to be unisex.

The name of the perfume says everything. It’s ginger with a touch of lemon, but at the opening, I mostly smelled strong ginger, not very airy. I think I’d like it if I had a headache; it would help me a lot hahahaha. I like it but i will not buy it

Starts off beautifully and sharp, very refreshing and just lovely. Unfortunately on me it dries down to a very generic Grandpa aftershave scent. No thanks!

The sharpness is unberable for me, so irritating and peppery like it gets in your nose and not fadeing, just get sharper and stronger Not good. It is fresh but, not in a light fresh way, almost blind bought it because of ginger but not good. No. Sorry.

On my skin it is a masculine leaning, linear, photorealistic, herbal ginger with a fuzzy musk undertone. I loved the ginger in Givenchy L'interdit Rouge, so I thought I would enjoy this one. It’s not for me.

i haaate it. for me this gives less ginger and more cardamom pod. very sharp and very polarising. not accurate to the notes imo

Unfortunately smells like mens cologne

This is a spicy/woody fragrance, the notes can make you feel like it's "citrusy, sparkly and juicy", it's not, at least to my nose, the citrus is there in the opening sure, but short lived. The ginger note is not "fruity" ginger, it's rather "spicy" ginger if this makes sense, it has that sharpness, quite a realistic ginger, not ginger ale like or fizzy, it's rather dense, spicy and woody. In the dry down the Orange is gone, you're left with just the zing of the ginger and a lighter version of Encre Noir, that vibe is coming from the vetiver and musk. The vetiver accord is tiny bit bitter and charred as in encre noir vs bright and zingy. Overall a very well made fragrance, performance is moderate, but if you're looking for a ginger-ale experience, I'd say sample first.

Purchased 100ml based on the notes. In layman terms, this smells just like lemon-grass, a combination of ginger, lime, lemon. Which is good because I was thinking of needing a separate lemon-grass/lime perfume (both ingredients waken my senses). The first spray, it is sharp (spicy) but tbh, actually reminded me of sherbet lemons and it stays quite linear for a while until the gentle soapy vibes kick in (but not at all powdery). It feels like a light fragrance despite a sharpness to it at first. All I can say, pretty expensive to smell like sherbet lemons but no doubt I will enjoy the experience of using it during the warmer months.

It was fantastic right from the get-go. If you are looking for a fresh, fizzy scent, this is it. The ginger is warm and spicy at the start which is why I think it could be unisex, Then it dries icy and fizzy for a fresh scent perfect for a warm day. Gingembre finishes light and yummy on the skin, which lingers as a skin scent. While it changes during the dry down, surprisingly it is a simple, one layer experience all about the ginger essence. A fresh scent for someone who wants an interesting freshie without defaulting to a citrus scent. I am pleasantly surprised to find a good but unique one.

This one goes back to the Infusion root, the Infusion DNA is very very strong which immediately reminds me of quite a few Infusion editions when the collection 1st launch (Iris Cedre, Mimosa, Amande, Vetiver) with ginger replacing the main corresponding note in those editions. The ginger note is piercing and strong. Very refreshing. There is also a slight synthetic muskiness in the drydown that I'm not really a fan of. As a whole, the fragrance feels a bit less exciting comparing to the others in the collection especially putting next to the very unique take on fig in 2023 edition.

I do not get the prominent ginger note I read on the comments. This has green mandarin, geranium and vetiver, and it is all well blended with the ginger to form the fragrance (there is no dominating note to my nose). I was expecting a different fragrance based on comments (pure realistic ginger) and comparison to Origins Ginger Essence (sparkling). I find it nothing like that. The notes are all very well blended, and the ginger comes off understated, but more vegetal, not sparkling imo. Try before you buy if you are seeking a realistic or purely ginger fragrance.

Oh I wanted so badly to like this one! Bracing, spicy ginger with gorgeous orange and citrus notes, that were fresh with a touch of warmth. I was so ready to make this my signature for Spring but sadly, this evaporated from my skin less than 30 minutes after application, both with and without Vaseline. I had friends smell me to make sure I wasnt going crazy, but unfortunately this one just doesn’t last enough to justify the price. If I get an EDP I expect better than Eau Fraiche performance.

Bright, clear, refreshing, almost bubbly ginger that lasts about 20-30 min before settling into a slightly sweet skin scent that lasts maybe 4 hours. The closest association I have is Fever Tree ginger beer. It's so delicious and energizing! This seems unisex, leaning slightly fem. Could be layered to brighten and dial up the warm spices of frags like Spicebomb or Psychedelic Love. Bright citrus without being screechy.

Honestly too sharp for my taste, the opening is very refined and elegant, both ginger and Mandarin coming through nicely, but after a few minutes i just feel a very generic cleaning products scent, bit scratchy on my skin, and also it has no lasting power and no sillage as the notes would suggest. Overall on me it was really disappointing but i can see how on others it could pull very elegant and spicy!

What I love about this and the infusion line is the subtle staying power. I have the perfume eating skin that scent disappears on fast. But this line gives me the elegant lightness I often crave with surprising wafts of joy. The ginger is now a firm favourite behind the original d’Iris with d’Ylang and d’vanille tying in 3rd.
