Infusion d'Iris Cèdre

Everything about this one is better than the original..except the smell itself. The longevity, projection and availability, its all better in Iris cedre. But to me, nothing beats the original edp; theres a spicy note and complexity thats missing here. Iris cedre is clean, in a powder way rather than a soapy way. It starts with a sharp citrus and Iris, followed by a slightly metallic note that lingers for quite a while but i found that after a few hours the drydown is basically identical to the original, a powdery incense finish. It holds to my skin a thousand times better than the origional and it is rather masculine in comparison, but it is weirdly feminine at the same time. Ther iris infusion line is my favourite of all fragrances; Prada uses ingredients of the highest quality, usually as much as i love them, anything TOO powdery can give me a bit of a headache but Infusion d' iris and all her relatives are extremely easy to wear. This fragrance seems to make me imagine being in a beautiful old house in the country, going outside on a crisp chilly morning and smelling the frosty dew on the grass. Its a cold scent..and serious, almost too serious. But it has a certain uniqueness to it that i just cant help but fall in love with. Ive never smelled infusion d'homme so i cant make a comparison, but if you like the original Iris infusion, then this is a good substitute. Its not as floral, but retains almost all of the original notes. Update: This is the third time, i think, of wearing this. Ive come to the conclusion that its the most razor sharp version of the iris line that there is. While the origional has a little bit more softness to it; Iris cedre is very cold and stilted. I dont really know if it opens up more in summer,its cold here atm and seems to sit on my skin without really fully opening up,i feel like it has more potential in warmth, with the benzoin and incense. I am happy with this, but it has a strange..sadness to it, i know that probably sounds strange lol but it has a very stepford wife feel to it; she's the one with the house that's too clean and a little unwelcoming. The beauty of this scent is it has good projection and lasting power, but is still completely innofensive to those around the wearer.

I added Prada Infusion d'Iris Cedre to my collection after falling in love with a couple of other fragrances from this line. d'Iris and d'Amande have been staples for me when I want to wear something noticeable yet unobtrusive. Infusion d'Iris Cedre, however, offers a unique twist with a more masculine-leaning scent profile. What struck me first about this fragrance is its linear journey from opening to drydown. It maintains a consistent character throughout, starting with a crisp and clean aura that carries a subtle hint of soapiness. The iris note is dry, powdery, and delightfully fluffy, while the cedar adds a refreshing, green, and crisp woodiness. I also sense a touch of neroli that contributes to its sharp soapiness, although the benzoin and incense notes seem almost indistinguishable. While all the fragrances I've tried from this line are generally unisex with a slight feminine leaning, Infusion d'Iris Cedre breaks that mold slightly by leaning more towards the masculine side. I find it to be a suitable work-safe scent—nothing too complex or intriguing, but undeniably classy and attractive. Its fresh and clean characteristics make it inoffensive and easy to appreciate. One concern I've come across in reviews of this line is its performance, but I must say I've had a positive experience. The projection is light and soft, making it noticeable without overwhelming those around you. What truly impressed me is the longevity; I've received compliments on this fragrance after wearing it for over 10 hours, and I can still detect its presence lightly on myself more than 12 hours after application. To achieve this impressive longevity, I apply a slightly heavier dose—around 7-10 sprays. If you already own Infusion d'Iris or d'Amande this is probably a redundant fragrance unless you want something just a little more masculine. I find the differences among them subtle enough that I use them interchangeably. Lastly, the packaging and presentation of this fragrance line are worth mentioning. The bottles exude simple elegance, with a high-quality look and feel. The generous atomizer adds to the overall experience, making the application process enjoyable.

As a fan of Infusion d'Homme (which is getting discontinued), I was naturally eager to try the new Infusion line from Prada, especially the Iris Cèdre which seemed to be a natural addition to my collection. So I got my hands on a 100ml bottle since it's been made available recently in my country. Infusion d'Iris Cèdre is a wonderful powdery-soapy fragrance (Prada has quite a lot of experience in this kind of scent), that is very reminiscent of the original Infusion d'Iris. It is delicate and clean, with the roundness of Iris absolute playing the main role, the slight bitterness induced by the neroli and mandarin note and a touch of depth invoked by woody notes, incense, benzoin. Overall I'd qualify the whole scent as a woodier, slightly bolder Infusion d'Iris, and as a less powdery and more refined Infusion d'Homme. It is very subtle and clean, with a very airy feel to it, but without feeling too light either. The scent itself is very understated and luxurious, complex and multifaceted, and as always it retains the unisex characteristics of the previous Infusions. I just "love the smell". Longevity is fair, I can get around 6 hours out of this but projection is very, very soft indeed. Lively enough for hot weather but almost dead if used in cold weather. I was expecting a slightly better performance from an eau de parfum (and it is labelled as an EdP), but still pretty much ok. In comparison, Infusion d'Homme was an EdT with better sillage and longevity. Overall Iris Cèdre is a winner for me, a beautiful clean and alluring fragrance with a hell lot of personality. It is closer to Infusion d'Iris than Infusion d'Homme, and slightly more feminine than the latter while still being unisex enough for any man to wear. It is a good cross between both two fragrances in my opinion. And also, I absolutely love the bottle. It has an updated Prada logo (bigger letters and patterns) and a wonderful blue shade at the bottom of it. Looking forward to try the other variants of this new series, it's going to be exciting! That said, I'm going to miss Infusion d'Homme, that stuff was really unique, although I find Iris Cèdre much better purely scent wise.

Brought, I just notice that Prada fragrances are now transferred to L'oreal and they are now made in France. Instead of Spain by PUIG. I might be personal bias but I think the one made in France is significantly stronger than Spain one. This is now renamed to Infusion d' Cedre (However my local label still registers this under Iris Cedre). And the price hike is very abusive, it's now USD 220 in my country (full retail price). Regards the scent, this is the most Soapiess fragrance I ever wear. Smell like White soap to the max, almost like a soap factory. I repeat my keyword, Hyper-Clean, Engicmatic, Futuristic. I absolute adore this fragrance and this is a feel bottle that I didn't mind grabbing at full price. (of course, with a few additional discount codes) If you need just a soapy fragrance go for just Infusion d'Iris. If you need a soap factory to go for Iris Cedre. Longevity: 10+ hours. Projection: Moderate in 3 hours then closer but hardly skin scent. skin scent at around 7 hours mark. Yes, people. I already get one. After long hunt... And please believe me, this smell so close to this masterpiece, infusion de iris cedre/cedre. If you really pin point, Homme is slightly sweeter (tonka like sweetness but mild, maybe one of amber) and tiny little bit spicer but when pass 30 mins mark I barely notice anything difference. It almost entirely same scent. I will hold my new bottle of Homme for a while, but I might eventaully pass this to declutter as well. 🙂

From the beginning of my Infusion d'Iris, version 2015, I was missing that balmy, woody, smoky iris the original has, so I promised myself Iris Cèdre would be my next one. Honestly, I was not even sure there would be the next one, these Infusions are not statement pieces nor do they stand out by their originality. But they are extremely well done, delightfully wearable and almost automatic reach as they are always appropriate and so damn polite. Fabulous summer treats. As they behave as eau de colognes, I treat them as such, buy the biggest bottles I can find and oversprey frequently. Since I had mild anxiety due to almost empty bottle, I admitted defeat and promptly got Iris Cèdre. It was everything I wished for. All that original balmy smoky powdery drydown...it arrives faster and stays longer. Now, I kind of miss the opening of my previous one. I just might get it again and wear them together and have everything I want. They are worth it. Despite my original resistance, over time, I became a fan. And who doesn't want to smell clean, effortlessly elegant and yet intriguing. I would also put most of the Prada's Infusion up there with Colognes from Hermes and that is the highest praise. I firmly believe that the simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. But so difficult to get it right. Also, there is no amber whatsoever.

So the way this came into my possession is I actually purchased it by accident! I was trying to snag a bottle of the quote-unquote "regular" Infusion d'Iris (which I also purchased eventually) but I got this. My intention was to return it but then I got a whiff. Ohmygoshyo. It's every bit as wonderful as the original Infusion d'Iris but I'd say the Cedre version has a couple of the kinks worked out (if there are truly any kinks in the original). It's a bit smoother (than an already smooth fragrance), a bit rounder (than an already round fragrance). And oddly enough the awesome beautiful aloofness of the Iris is pushed forward more in my opinion. Really, this is closer to Chanel No 19. Is Cedre "better" than the original? That's tough to say. They're so similar that if you have a bottle of one, you don't need the other. I'd say while Cedre is more precisely calibrated, the original has more character. Also Cedre perform better in terms of longevity. But again, they're soooo similar... I can see folks not being able to tell the two apart. For now the original is less expensive and more accessible so I'm sticking to that. But Cedre is a terrific buy. Note: I've never experienced the l'Homme version, so I can't compare.

I have heard Demi Rawling raving about Infusion d’Iris Cedre recently in one of her summer themed videos, so I decided that when I have the chance, I have to try it! At the end of the day, I am a big fan of Infusion line, owning five full size bottles already, and she rarely recommends bad/boring fragrances. OMG, this is absolutely beautiful! Demi was right!! I am not an iris fan most of the times, but this iris+neroli+cedre+incense+benzoin combo is fire!! It’s a very soft, light iris/purple floral with the smoothest woods and a warm, cozy feel from benzoin when it settles down on the skin. It’s a linear scent, clean and smooth, but it’s unbelievably addictive and I am getting a bottle for the upcoming fall season! Go and test this, it’s not a masculine scent at all! Looks very unassuming when you check the notes l, but it’s absolutely beautiful! To sum it up, I would rank the Infusion scents as follows: the ylang ylang, almond one and this are the best. Then I would put second place the ginger one, the vanilla, the iris and the orange blossom. The last place it would be my least favourite ones: the rhubarb and the rose one. I haven’t tried the mimosa, the mandarin or the vetiver one so I can’t comment on those...

One of the most perfect white crisp clean soapy scents out there. Fresh, light, and works for all seasons (although I wear it most often in spring and summer) because it really does smell like luxury soap. White shirt fragrance for sure, but you can dress it up or down. Super classy and refined, almost aloof. Adds to your aura rather than screaming that you wear perfume. 100% unisex. If you like soapy white scents, I think this is a safe blind buy. For comparison, d'Iris has some light citrus in the opening (I get lemon despite the notes listing orange) while Cedre is sharper, fresh, and almost fizzy. As they dry down, Cedre maintains its crispy white opening while d'Iris becomes softer, a touch sweeter, more powdery, a hint of licorice, and really settles into the iris note. From there they stay more or less consistent. These might smell identical to untrained noses but I'd bet that most people would choose Cedre for its slightly fresher edge. For what its worth, d'Iris gives my mom a headache while Cedre does not (thank goodness). Texturally, it feels like a cool and slightly astringent breeze. Color association white.

Scent: 10 I used infusión d'homme as my signature fragance for some years. This was discontinued but this one is very very similar, quite the same. Iris and cedsr wood with neroli, Resines, incense and tangerine. This is the new infusión d'homme. Longevity: 7 Infusión d'homme was an Edy and It lasted on me more than 6 hour. This one, however, being an edp doesnt last more than 4 hours and It sdisappear from clothes fast too. I dont know why but the longevity os a bit worse Sillage: 6 The projection is similar to IdH. It projects a clean, beautiful and fresh smell for one hour and after that the intensity begins to falla down to becomes It a skin scent. Quality/price: 6 This versión is more expensive than IdH. I bought the other one for 60€/200ml (the 100ml costed 55€). Now i have paid 68€/100ml (while the 200ml costed 90€). More expensive with worse quality... I prefer infusión d'homme... :( Versatility: 9 It is a very versatile perfume. It smell like recently cleaned clothes so this is suitable for any time and ocation. Global: 7

This smells like my memory of Infusion D’Homme. I had a bottle and the shower gel of that. This straight up smells like soap with wet bubbles. To me this is unisex. I think there is a hint of something masculine in this, but every man I’ve had tried it feels it is too feminine. This is very similar to infusion D’Iris, but I don’t like D’Iris. It gives me a headache and makes me feel slightly sick. This is a very clean fragrance. This is a soap bar with lots of moisturizers and fragrance. This is not a Castile soap.There is almost a hint of powder in here but the soap is more predominant. Also, this is the most unisex out of the infusion flankers I’ve tried. I really enjoyed this scent. I finally got around to smelling this when I first smelled Prada la’femme. I liked that fragrance more and it detracted me from buying a bottle of this. Now that I’m revisiting my samples, I may just pick up a bottle or one of the other infusions.

Warm weather Iris masterpiece with above average Longevity and projection. So much better than Prada L'Homme which I have tested 3 or 4 times but for me is a skin scent all the way. I also have the L'homme Intense version, which is lovely and heavy for Fall and Winter (I'm wearing it right now) Last Summer I came across Infusion d'Iris Cèdre which is perfect for Spring & Summer. I already received a compliment during a birthday party, which is very rare in my case, in fact, it is only the third time. So you will get noticed with this one. I have no idea why Prada L'Homme is much more popular and sells much better. This is in fact the best Iris based Spring, Summer fragrance I have. Much better than Dior Homme Sport for example. I would like to buy Acqua Di Iris by Zegna but that one is really hard to get. If you like soapy fragrances, like me, Prada and Acqua di Parma Colonias are the very best.

This fragrance is absolutely divine. The original infusion d’iris smelled amazing and very clean on paper, but on my skin, the incense note would take over completely in an unpleasant way, throughout all phases. I found the Cèdre version to be the perfect balance of clean and fresh, and an upgrade from the og Iris version. This variant also has an incense note, but in a much subtler way, and only during the opening. It then flourishes into the most heavenly, refreshing smell, which gradually turns into the smell of an organic soap bar. It’s like smelling smelling fresh ginger candy, and then being transported to the woods at dawn while the wind blows the fresh smell of trees in the shade, only to be transported again to a cozy cabin where you will bathe in organic soap when the night is setting. It layers extremely well with Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. Divine.

Infusion D’Iris Cèdre has recently been renamed to simply - Infusion de Cèdre; as far as I know the scent remains identical. It opens with the bright, soapy iris that Prada characterises so well, with a clean and sharp neroli accompanied by hints of cedar. It’s quite a simple scent that stays pretty linear throughout, but fantastic nonetheless. I wouldn’t say the benzoin and incense are at all noticeable, it’s all about the soapy florals and cedar. The performance is fantastic too, it lasts all day and will never offend anyone so it’s very oversprayer-friendly. This scent is the epitome of soapy cleanliness. The florals are of exceptional quality, and it scratches that itch for clean laundry style fragrances. This is probably my favourite fragrance from Prada, and one of the best iterations of iris on the designer market.

Prada Infusion d'Iris Cèdre is best described as high end soapy water. It has an extremely linear scent profile, but not in a bad way at all, and that is kind of expected of this scent profile anyway. What you get from the initial spray is pretty much what stays with you for the entire wear, without shifting unexpectedly or losing its crisp vibe. In terms of real world performance, I got about 7 hours out of the scent in high heat and car AC. It sits closer to the skin, but not exactly skin scent close. Instead, it creates this persistent freshly showered aura around you that people will easily catch whiffs of whenever they step into your personal space. It really is the ultimate white shirt fragrance if you just want to smell effortless, polished, and ridiculously clean without needing to project across an entire room.

So strange how there's barely a difference between this and the OG (if the product descriptions are to be taken at face value), yet I found Infusion d'Iris to be horrendously putrid and this quite lovely! The OG smelled rank, musty, just plain awful to me - Iris Cèdre is like an entirely different fragrance! Definitely a woody fragrance but tempered by iris, and the neroli and benzoin give it a touch of sweetness. On my skin it had an almost sherbet-like quality, too. Not sour or overly sweet or citric but a pleasant "sparkling" quality. Overall just a really smooth, pleasant composition and definitely unisex. I don't know that I'll buy this any time soon but I'm such a sucker for a good iris that I could see myself owning this in the future, especially if I see it for a good discount.

More naming and perhaps reformulations shenanigans by Prada. I wore D'Homme and they replaced it with D'Iris Cedre. Those two versions were very close, like 98% except D'Homme was even more hyper clean and sterile in the opening vs D'Iris Cedre. Still, they were so close it didn't matter to me, so I bought D'Iris Cedre. Now I'm out of D'Iris Cedre, and I see that they changed the name again to just De Cedre? Someone below wrote the this new De Cedre version has mandarin and if that's true, I'm not touching it. Not because I don't like orange, it's because this scent is the epitome of hyper clean white scent, and that's what I expect when I reach for it. I hope this new Prada Infusion de Cedre version has not ruined the formula 😔

Why did it take me this long to discover this gem? I'm in love! It lacks the buttery iris note in the original, but it makes up for that by being SO clean and refreshing - cool, powdery iris goodness! :) It lasts/projects more than the original as well. (And when I want that buttery note, I'll just layer this with the original). If you like a refreshing, powdery iris, this is for you. I'm SO happy I found it. A new favorite for me. Edit: The buttery note does, in fact, show up - its just more subtle. I would say, though, it adds a bit of warmth for those worried this might be too "icy" for their personality. Its definitely a cool and clean iris, but I don't see it as uninviting at all. I love this on a hot summer day!

Gorgeous. I am captivated by this. There is an earthy depth which grounds the delicate, even ephemeral, iris. The combination is balanced and intriguing. Even with multiple sprays (over-spraying in fact) this scent does not trigger a migraine. Sillage and longevity not that strong. Dries down to become the merest fraction more than a skin scent – though very pleasant that nevertheless is – about 3.5 hours after application; although to be fair, that is also after a longish walk, and having washed my hands, and probably washed a fair bit of it off. A very, very faint nutty note seems to emerge now too – reminiscent of clary sage essential oil, which I do enjoy.

As an easy and cheap point of reference this is a much more mature and civilised version of the Body Shop's White Musk for Men. When you get a heavy blast from a close sniff it can be remarkably similar but from arm's length the silage and gentler whiffs are a delight in comparison with so much more going on - delicate woody and floral notes rise out of the bed of musks with a tantalising dry hint of never quite realised sweetness rendering it addictive and delicious rather than just clean. Prada's Amber Pour Homme is/was much soapier by my nose with this a perfect summer alternative when you want to smell impeccably clean.

Absolutely delightful! A sparkling embrace of iris with a delicate whisp of cedar and smoke. Neroli and aldehydes give it a soapy-fizzy clean texture as it opens and it dries down warm-creamy and woody with vetiver and benzoin, like an elegant Italian soap. Simple and restrained yet so refined and perfectly versatile. Best for me in mild to warmer weather as it blooms nicely with heat.
