Luna Rossa Black

Let me start this review by saying this - I’m not the type of person to care much about batch variations. I believe in using what’s available, and if that’s significantly similar to a previous batch, or even a discontinued fragrance, that’s enough for me. When it comes to Prada Luna Rossa Black, however, I cannot believe how different this current version of the fragrance is from what it was. For more context, I first smelt PLRB from a friend’s bottle with the bottle saying ‘made in Spain’ and had the batch number 81831. He gave me a decant from his bottle, and I loved it so much. Once the decant ran out, I immediately bought a bottle. Me being who I am, I didn’t care much about the batch number, but it said ‘made in France’. That fragrance was a joke. From the original bottle, PLRB came off as one of the sexiest fragrances I’d ever smelled. It was in the same vein as YSL’s LNDL, and this was a fragrance that I thought was just as sexy. The fragrance is dark and thick, with the tonka being the main player in the scent profile. The angelica adds a touch of greenness/herbalness to the scent profile and balances out the amber in the fragrance, keeping it from becoming too sweet. As the fragrance dies down, the bergamot dissipates, and the overall scent profile turns more musky. Throughout its life, it’s got a touch of clean, powderiness, but it never takes center stage. The fragrance lasts the entire day with more than moderate projection for the first 2 hours or so. It leans masculine, but women can pull this off as well. Also, I can see any age group pulling this off. I’d have rated this a 10/10, and it would’ve been in my top 10 fragrances of all time. By contrast, the bottle I bought had awful performance, didn’t last for 4 hours, had zero projection, and the scent profile was so diluted. It was just pure powderiness and maybe a touch of tonka. It lacked any kind of depth and all the notes that made the fragrance so amazing in the first place. Had I not experienced the original, I’d have dismissed PLRB as garbage, and the only reason I could BARELY pick up on the original scent profile was because I had used the decant my friend had given me. Compared to that, this version was a joke. Fortunately, I managed to sell off that bottle. I was under the impression that perhaps my bottle had gone bad, but when I tried it out at retail stores, the tester was the same garbage. I’d give this (the current version) of PLRB a 3/10. Fortunately, my friend parted with his bottle and gave it to me, and it’s one of my favorite fragrances I currently own. However, the current version of it on the market is a joke. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone; do test it out if possible. Do NOT blind buy it.

The Scent: There's an initial kick of fresh green citrus that gradually shifts into one of my all time favourite dry-downs. It's an intriguing, clean, powdery/dry, slightly sweet smell that is warm & masculine leaning. It still manages to be fresh, as it doesn't have the sweet & resinous "stickiness" that some fragrances have with similar base notes. Somebody once said this should have been called Prada WHITE, as the soft musks and clean powdery notes feel uplifting and cloud-like. The Vibe: Images of corporate or executive professionals come to mind, but honestly this will always be a cozy scent to me, to either be paired with Roots sweatpants on summer evenings, or a leather jacket in the fall/winter. I agree with others when they say it gives the impression that YOU smell good, and it's not just a cologne. It lacks a lot of the accords that people immediately associate with cologne, so it's a lot more versatile for the office, church, etc.. So if you have fragrance sensitive people in your life, or are worried about giving someone a headache, this is a pretty safe bet. Performance: Solid, at least on my skin. It is NOT a loud scent. In the typical Prada fashion, Prada Black sits closer to skin an isn't trying to get compliments from people across the room. But don't get me wrong, you'll very likely be getting complimented on this. Also, it lasts days on clothes. My fiancé will often ask me to spray this on my hoodies before she takes them. Final Thoughts: If people in your community even happen to wear fragrance (which is not the case in mine), then odds are they aren't going to be wearing Prada Black. I see this as a total win, as it means you'll stand out as someone with differing taste from the more popular JPG/blue scent crowd. Also, I don't get the the whole "burnt or fresh rubber" effect that others unfortunately have. And I'm glad, as it's easily in my top three scents of all time. It's also the only bottle currently that I've repurchased, mostly because it's my fiancés favourite, and I hope to have a backup in case it ever get's discontinued.

Sweet, dark, beautiful. It's hard to isolate individual notes on this, but I will try and describe it. It starts out with some freshness of bergamot over green resinous notes, the dry down brings through some sweet lightly powdery goodness. There are sweet amber and vanilla notes from beginning to end. The blending is absolutely perfect on this. This is unlike any other fragrance I have ever smelled, although I do own quite a few that could be argued to be of a similar style. My bottle is a 2018 with the one piece top with the thicker atomizer that does not come off. I have smelled are similar in the opening but the newer ones don't seem to have the same kind of performance. This is definitely a fragrance designed for cooler weather or date nights. My wife loved this one when we tried it together in store. This definitely shines in fall and winter, but I could see this being used on cooler spring days as well. Performance is good, I get over 8 hours with my bottle, it lasts days on clothing. I would say it gives about 2-3 feet of projection for the first 3-4 hours and slowly dwindles after that. My skin also eats fragrance up, some beast mode stuff will only last 6 hours on me. This is definitely unisex leaning masculine in my opinion. I think it's mostly worn by men, but like other somewhat similar frags I have seen it compared to (Bvlgari Black, Midnight in Paris) the ladies can wear it too. I can't comment on how much it's like those two as I have yet to get them under my nose. My wife commented that it smells like a more masculine version of Bianco Latte, which I definitely can see the similarities with that strong coumarin base. This is an interesting fragrance, it's somewhat simple but also unique. I could see this being layered to great effect with something smokey and maybe with light leather notes. This is an 8.75/10 for me!

Ideal for use at night, meetings, jantars, social events or walks. She is a seducer and has a very sophisticated tempo, no grit, but little attention. You can also operate on days but in cold or air-conditioned environments during winter/outdoors. Our perfumes Midnight in Paris and Bvlgari Black, have a very strong scent. Final Rating: 9/10 Excellent fragrance that has many variations and a difference in relation to classic amadeirados or citrus fruits.

Avant-garde, contemporary, and timeless. Obviously, it had to come from Prada. This seems to capture the full essence and feeling of what I consider Prada in 2018, both in fashion and in perfumery. Synthetic but not chemical; a musk that is neutral in terms of sex and scent: white, powdery, and clean. With the help of angelica and coumarin, the amber becomes clear and light. It behaves more like a trail, a breeze coming off the skin where you applied it. Delicate but not weak, it does not need to be strong or loud, nor does it try to be; its confidence comes from its distinctiveness and uniqueness. If you are looking for a neutral perfume, equivalent to the musky fragrances that all women wear (and that smell wonderful on all), but for men, this is one of them. People who say it does not last, that it does not project, or that it smells like nothing are probably breathing through their mouths or simply do not understand this perfume. It does not need to be the center of attention, nor be loud, nor try to be noticed by others; but if someone does notice it on you, you will definitely become their center of attention. This perfume is suggestive and insinuating. If you are one of those men who play the saint but are anything but that, try it and maybe you will come back and give my review a like. One day, when I picked up a girl for a date, I applied two sprays just a few minutes before she got into the car. We greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek, and she said, “You smell like passion and my bed sheets.” She smelled like raspberries, and her bed sheets smelled like this perfume. Enjoy.

Some fragrances come and go, but Luna Rossa Black has quietly become a part of my routine. I'm already on my third bottle, and every time I wear it, I'm reminded why it's my go-to in winter and for moments that actually matter. Right from the first spray, it draws you in. not with loudness, but with a soft, confident presence. The bergamot opening is brief, giving way to a smooth mix of herbal and earthy notes from angelica and patchouli. But it’s the dry-down that really hits: warm, powdery, musky, and subtly sweet. There's amber, tonka, and that slightly creamy musk that wraps around you like a soft winter jacket. It’s cozy, comforting, and just mysterious enough to make you feel like there's something deeper going on. Some people describe it as powdery, rubbery, or even like Dr. Pepper. I get it. But to me, it smells like memory. familiar, personal, and hard to explain unless you’ve worn it for a while. It doesn’t shout for attention, but it leaves an impression. I often go nose-blind to it, then someone will lean in and compliment it out of nowhere. Performance is decent, on my skin, I get a good 7 to 10 hours, especially in colder weather. The projection is more intimate than loud, which I actually prefer. It’s perfect for dates, late evenings, or anytime you want to smell good without trying too hard. I’ve tried plenty of new releases, but I keep coming back to this. Maybe it’s nostalgia, or maybe it’s just the way it makes me feel grounded and calm. Either way, Luna Rossa Black still has a hold on me, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

When I tried this fragrance for the first time, I knew I had to have it. I had never had an experience of cologne before that made me want to constantly go back for more. It was borderline weird how much I loved it and the way I talked about it -- but my girlfriend understood, because it is just really sexy. Simple as. The smell is so unique and different on everyone. To me, it is a sultry, brooding, sweet scent that holds a note of pepperiness at the end. It is truly special and spicy, and women love it. I asked my dad, who is also into fragrance, if he had ever smelled it. He sent me a picture of the bottle on his dresser. When him and his girlfriend went fragrance shopping, she was so in love with the Prada Luna Rossa Black that he had to buy it that day. It is just that good. This frag also produces a very nice and specific bubble. More so than other frags I have tested. The only downside to this scent in my opinion is that it can be too sweet for me in the heat. Others' opinions differ, but for me, it just doesn't work in the oppressive heat. It isn't necessarily cloying, but it feels a bit too heavy when it's hot. This fragrance is genuinely intoxicating. It is mysterious and alluring. I feel confident when I wear it. I haven't had it long but I am sure it will garner some compliments with time. Check it out.

In my opinion, it smells dark, smooth, slightly vanilla-sweet, and peppery. It falls back to a nice amber, and the closest comparison is vanilla coca-cola, but that doesn't really do it justice. Reminds me of armani code EDT, but much richer, smoother, performant, and defined. Easy to wear and mass appealing, with a balance of classiness and intimacy. Could be an office scent with a little effort, but that darker profile might come off as too much. Very masculine. All ages. Not for the summer or heat. Good: Mass appealing. Intimate with some class. Dark and solid depth. Good performance and longevity. Sleek bottle. Not too difficult to wear. Bad: Not fresh. Not for summer. Not for all outfits and occasions. Pepper may be too much/harsh depending on batch. To me, it is a 10/10 because of the performance, scent profile, darker feeling, and mass appeal. It is the only fragrance I consider perfect. It is 1 dimensional, which may be a turn off to some people, but it has some natural depth to it that takes it beyond pepper and amber. I did blind buy the 2022 batch and was happy with the purchase. I can see a lot of guys pulling this off with ease and getting a lot out of this.

I'm a teenager and I'm somewhat new to scents but I know for sure that this might just be the best purchase of my life. I found it for 70 bucks and blind bought it, and I have 0 regrets. It smells so unique in comparison to other mainstream designer fragrances, the vanilla isn't really gourmand, it's softer, classier and the musk just mellows it out. Initially, it lasted maybe 3 hours max. It's been around 7 months and now it lasts 6 hours. It doesn't project like crazy and I think that's a good thing because in my opinion, this is completely the opposite of something like eros or ultra male in the sense that this cologne makes it seem like you smell good without trying. I think the loudness of eros and ultra male make it seem like you want to me smelt whereas this one sits closer to the skin so it's only smelt by those that are close to you. I love this and I think it is a very easy choice for me to make it my signature scent. I think it is blind buy safe if you like vanilla adjacent scents. Also this cologne gets a shit ton of compliments.

My gosh... this feels like a modern reinterpretation of my beloved Bvlgari Black, but less rubbery and more easygoing. The opening is a bit linear on me — the citrus barely shows, and Angelica clearly takes the spotlight. It’s soft, aromatic, and sets the tone for a warm, smooth drydown. That drydown reminds me of JPG Le Male Le Parfum, but it’s warmer and more balanced, with none of the powdery lipstick vibe — no iris here (of course). The aromatic side stays gentle and helps lift the warmth without clashing. I love both fragrances, but I’m choosing Luna Rossa Black because my wardrobe already has enough iris-forward perfumes. This one opens a new emotional lane: warm, smooth, and cozy enough to spend the day re-smelling the skin. It’s the perfect scent for a dinner date or a casual night out — elegant without trying too hard, and just pleasure enough to leave an impression. Office-safe too, as long as you avoid overspraying — it’s inoffensive and refined, with moderate projection that won’t overwhelm.

I was on the fence with this one and decided to return it. It smells nice but doesn't really fit my style. Opening is vanilla with pencil shavings (eyeliner pencil). I don't smell anything "dark" or "mysterious" about this perfume, as so many people on the internet say. Edit: After trying other samples of popular male winter perfumes, this is the least gay and the least sweet one, so I decided to purchase it again.. It started getting cold outside and it grew on me.. I like it quite a lot actually. Rating: 8/10 2nd Edit: The sample I bought 1.5 years ago was heavier on the vanilla an less on the powder. The bottle I got seems to be a reformulated version (2024 batch with the new slimmer bottle), opening is more peppery with less vanilla, when it starts drying down it gets pretty identical to my sample (more powder less vanilla to my nose). Projection and sillage are weak, longevity is quite good but stays close. Rating: 6.5/10 Last edit: This shit fire. Rating: 8/10

In my opinion one of the most unique fragrances along the designer market right now. Both have the old and new batch bottles, it %95 smells and performs the same. You get that bergamot hit you for a small time when you first spray it with a mixture of powerful tonka and patchouli. It doesn’t last long though it turnes into soft creamy musky powder within 30 minutes. I use it in winter and fall, mostly formal like office/work and for going out or date nights. I consider this as my signature scent but I gotta say even though it lasts all day on my skin (+10 hrs) sillage isn’t that great. It most likely stays as a skin scent and people around you won’t likely gonna smell this. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing actually its a intimate fragrance so you can wear this in formal/work occasions as well comfortably. If you are looking for some different scent profile in your collection, this is a really sexy and masculine fragrance and I would definitely recommend buying.

Honestly, I was expecting more. For me anyway, the projection is intimate. In the following days I will spray more on my vital points to get more of a projection just to see, so I will come back and update this review. In the same day, I received this cologne, and Spicebomb EDT. And honestly, comparing the two, this kind of let me down! I understand this cologne is its own thing, but for a winter and fall fragrance, this is pretty weak. Still, the scent of this is lovely. It is powdery, musky, ambery, and just overall good! I'd say this cologne is a 7/10, the only thing bringing it down is the projection, but as I said, I will spray more in the following days to come back to update. Maybe then I will boost it to an 8! EDIT! Came back, used this again and sprayed more, easy 8.5 longevity is still an absolute issue. 2 - 4 hours of small projection then the rest of the day its a skin scent. The smell is awesome! Longevity is bad :(

OMG. This smells masculine. Woo! This is the most masculine fragrance selling at Sephora right now as I am writing this, I think. I honestly wasn’t expecting to like this one, but it surprised me. Instant nostalgia for me it even gave me goosebumps! It smells like tailored pants and suit, a leather briefcase, waiting inside of an airport terminal for a business trip. He wears an expensive watch he bought with his hard earned cash. if he doesn't have a spouse, he deserves one. It smells like a man who isn’t trying to be overly cocky or charming. He’s just a regular guy, but he smiles in a way that makes your heart flutter. It’s not about impressing anyone; he’s just there to get the job done, setting off for the next big thing. I wouldn’t say I love it more than my others in the love category, but it brings out emotions from me so I love it nonetheless. It’s unique, it has character, and it’s got a vibe that’s hard to ignore.

TLDR:; The 2024 update has very small differences one could smell are either down to age, or the differences on how Puig and L'Oréal made this fragrance. Either way they smell pretty much the same to me. Gent scents just uploaded a video about this being "reformulated", and his impressions were that its a bit different but not that far off from the OG smell. (NOTE: This was supposedly a 2024 'update' but only recently was updated in North America. I live in Asia and the new refillable bottles from the luna rossa line has been around for a while) I have both an older thicker bottle(2022 batch) and the newer thinner refillable bottle(mid 2024) and to me they smell the same. I would likely attribute the differences GentScents found to age of the batches he has. I would assume his 'OG bottle' was from when the scent first released; It looked like the bottle from before L'Oréal took over the production of Prada fragrances.

Genuinely insane smell. I don't think I've ever smelt anything as unique as this purely because of its unique blend of notes, it's similar to the late, late dry down of Prada Ocean EDP. My girl goes wild for this one and understandably why to be honest. However, don't expect this to be a room filler. All Prada frags I've smelt seem to want to be closer to skin and intimate. I get about half an hour of projection so that other people around me can smell it, but after that it quickly develops into a skin scent. That doesn't really bother me, as I spray it more on my clothes, and it does last quite a while on fabrics, but don't buy this expecting beast mode sexy performance. If you want to smell unique, with a scent almost nobody carries, this is a stellar choice, but not blind buy safe. 9/10 fragrance, just wish the longevity carried through the day.

Probably my all time favorite. This smells great and unique, and has alot of memories attached to it aswell. Mostly powdery musks, and ambers. Has some synthetic qualities to it that I cant quite put my finger on, but despite that it is unique and very well blended. The sweet and powdery nature of this scent actually make it smell unisex. I bought a gift set of this that came with two 10ml travel sprays and my mom liked it so much she took one of them for herself. Projection is average. Longevity is good, turns into a mostly ambery skin scent towards the last few hours. This scent has a very 'light' and 'airy' smell. So because of that its a bit safer to overspray in my opinion. (will help with performance for those who find it lacking) I want as many bottles of this as I can get.

My first real cologne/fragrance I got as gift back in 2018 when I was 20 years old. It introduced me to Prada which is one of my favorite house brands; their other flankers such as Luna Rossa Carbon and Sport are great fresh scents. This is one of my favorites of all time, if not my signature scent next to L'Homme. I will say however the batch has changed as I own two bottles, one made in Spain and the other made in France. The bottle from Spain smells MUCH better and has a smoother dry down with a much sweeter tonka bean note. It is now absent in the 2024+ formulations and is much more subtle. I'd say its a very powdery and unique scent, good for 70-40 degree weather day or night. Not for summer use! Hope you take a chance on it as I did, I found it in a magazine as a kid.

This was my first "real man's" cologne/fragrance I got as a kid back in 2018 straight out of high school and into college. It is my most complimented scent, and one of my absolute favorites. Now that I am 27 however nearly 10 years later the formulation has changed. It lacks the depth and sweetness the original had (older bottles were made in Spain), as the new bottles made in France due to the L'Oreal acquisition have made me deeply sorrowed. This was my favorite scent of all time but simply the tonka bean note is gone. It's overly musky and a shell of its former self. A great scent nonetheless but a shadow of what Prada used to be. I recommend buying a bottle made in Spain off eBay, and you'll see the difference say from a bottle off of Jomashop.

This is definitely one of the most interesting fragrances I've bought this year. The Angelica and Patchouli give it a "Green" undertone in the opening when you first put it on...but that goes away within 30 minutes. The smooth soft powderiness kicks in pretty quickly and it stays that way the whole wear. I swear i smell a light soft leather somewhere in this fragrance. This is so light wearing, yet strong and long lasting. Definitely one of my new favorite fragrances, i think i like this more than my "Bulgari - Black"!!! If this frag were a person, it would be "Q-Tip". It's just so soft and smooth...but serious and strong. UPDATE: Combining the two has given me more compliments in one week than I've received in a long time. This is beautiful!

I really like this one. It's very powdery, but grounded by the coumarin/vanilla and woody amber notes. It's a clean, smooth, comforting smell, quite relaxing. Projection is not great, but that's ok for me--this is more of an intimate fragrance. I keep catching whiffs of it for 6-7 hours. Also, I don't get the "dark" and "mysterious" vibes some reviewers have mentioned; this is pretty cozy stuff, IMO. I don't understand why some people call it a date fragrance either--I mean, it could be appropiate for dates, but there are probably better fragrances for that. This is more of a daily kind of fragrance for me. It fits the cooler weather better. I wear this quite frequently during the colder seasons.

After 17+ years in this hobby, having owned nearly everything including niche, I’ve learned you don’t need rare, super challenging, or insanely expensive bottles to smell amazing. For me, it comes down to quality, personality fit, and simply smelling good—Prada Luna Rossa Black delivers on all three. It’s one of my most complimented fragrances, right alongside Dior Sauvage Elixir. Some call it linear; I call it reliable—elegant, versatile, and consistent. It’s not loud, flashy, or daring—it just smells damn good. Soft, approachable, and effortlessly wearable, it’s perfect for cooler weather, evenings out, or any time you want a refined, modern scent that gets noticed for all the right reasons.

A brief opening of spiced bergamot and freshly cracked black pepper quickly transition into warm and radiant coumarin. Facets of vanilla and hay wisp around a powdery, musky base. Powdery and semi-sweet without being overtly femme. Absolutely gorgeous. Highly slept on signature scent material. I'm getting around 8-10 hours longevity with a soft-moderate sillage. I'm okay with this one not being beast mode because it's clearly meant for more intimate situations. Prada Black oozes elegance. I don't smell rubber or tires. This is a fuzzy coumarin/hay/vanilla and powder bomb. And I can't get enough. I have no idea why, but this fragrance reminds me of Christmas. Sexy Christmas.

Wow. I’ve doing a lot of fragrance experimenting lately and this one just hit all of my markers. Powdery? Yes. But works for that freshly feel. I don’t not get that Tonka/Lactic feel on this one or whatever TF the AI thing is talking about. This powder, smooth subtle vanilla, spicy, and a hint of sweet citrus zest. It’s feels like a fresh specifically made for cool autumn and moderate winter. If this worked well in high humid heat, it would be my forever fragrance. *comments from the Mrs.* “I actually really like this one. It’s the first one in a while that I didn’t have to think about if I liked it. It’s smells clean, it’s not super sharp. But it’s comforting feeling”

Back in black! I originally bought this juice back in 2018 when it was first released, but (and I honestly don't know why exactly) sold it a year after or so, finding I didn't like the smell that much after all. BUT, I have recently sampled it again, and wow, what was it that I didn't like back then? This is so so good, hands down one of the best smells I've ever encountered on my frag-journey since I first started collecting back in 2015. Nothing more to say, signature scent worthy and a masterpiece perfume; from the looks of the bottle (me always wearing black clothing when I'm out and about) and to the scent itself. Long may you run Prada Luna Rossa Black!

I have been keeping mine in the cupboard for months. From the end of December 2024 hoping it will just mature a little more. And it seems to have a better longevity but still a bit weak projection. I know this is not so good in projection in general but mine was very weak. But, apart from that this DNA is just so mysterious and great to smell around yourself. What a great perfume would almost call it a masterpiece although that word is kept for very few fragrances in this world. If this was projecting moderate to little more than moderate, we'll then I think this probably would be me favorite scent in my entire collection. Wow this is good stuff.

As most people noticed, projection after some time is not big and is a mostly skin scent With that said I say this one is a masterpiece, dryish warmth and a lovely creaminess all the way from initial spray to drydown, with the drydown having some musky feeling I love that it becomes a scent with low projection, it is noticeable when someone is close to you and does not fill the room. There is some subjectivity there since i think fragrances should be like that, a subtle extension of yourself This is a 10/10 for what it wants do to and is, wear anytime anywhere just adjust spray count. 1 spray for hot summer days and 2 for every other season.

Jeremy fragrance doesn't have a clue what he is talking about, he said don't buy prada black In his video recently and showed us dior sauvage as a replacement. I used to like him but all he does now is promoting his own brand. Anyways, This frgrance is an absolutely beautiful creation, It's a compliment magnet, I'm waiting for fall to wear this juice. I got several girls telling me how good I smell with prada luna rossa black. Prada luna rossa sport is already amazing fragrance, Imagine making it darker, deeper and sexier, that's what you get with this thing. Really good fragrance for fall and winter time on for date nights or night outs.

Prada Luna Rossa Black has been my signature scent for good reason. From the first spray, it opens with a smooth, semi-sweet blend of bergamot and angelica that feels distinctive and well-composed. As it develops, the fragrance moves into something richer. Amber, musk and coumarin build a soft, slightly powdery veil that ever so lightly surrounds you. Composed without being cold. Far from cold, actually, like a warm embrace. There’s an ease to how it wears. Subtle but assured. A fragrance that leaves a trace, not a trail, and leaves you thinking about it long after it's gone. I have yet to try the reformulation, however.

Slightly dissapointing the first 20minutes, but after that it actually becomes very very good. Soft sophistication. Mostly just a "clean" fragrance with 30% sophistication. Very Versatile, great office / daily fragrance. I disagree with fragnantica putting this in winter and night. To me, it is not sophisticated enough to be exclusive to night and winter. It is only just borderline sophisticated. Clean enough to wear during days and office, with a touch of sophistication. Sophisticated enough to wear at fancy dinner. Nice. I can call it already now, that this will likely be my signatrue fall and winter scent. Love+

I think it’s hard to explain this fragrance, which is almost ironic, considering how simple and linear Luna Rossa Black is. Sure, it’s powdery, but not as much as other iris fragrances, such as Prada L’Homme and Dior Homme Intense. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be: sweet. But not the gourmand kind of sweetness, it’s a dark and sexy kind of sweetness. It doesn’t change much from the first second you spray it to the moment it becomes a skin scent. The performance is really good on my skin, and you have to be careful with the number of sprays. It may not seem like it, but it’s a very dense fragrance.

This is one of the most unique designer fragrances I’ve smelled. I don’t get the “burnt rubber” thing that I’ve seen people talk about with this one. I’ll let other people try to describe it, because I can’t. It’s just great. It smells clean, powdery sweet— almost like play dough, but not in the gross way that I’d imagine it. It’s definitely one I’d suggest trying after you’re already into fragrances. I could see it being a bit odd as an entry point. Might not be someone’s one and only fragrance, because I don’t think it’s great for every situation— it’s a bit serious to me— but it’s fantastic.

I honestly don’t understand how this scent is still only $90. I’m almost finished with my first bottle and already planning to buy a second. It’s absolutely delicious — a rich leather accord wrapped in the aura of a well-dressed businessman in a sharp suit. This fragrance punches way above its price point, easily competing with some of the high-end niche scents in my collection. It’s the perfect choice for a formal event or a wedding — sophisticated, confident, and undeniably masculine. Highly recommend this one to any man looking for a classy, upscale scent without breaking the bank.

I didn't smell this one at all at first. For this fragrance it didn't start out good for me and I didn't really pick up anything phenomenal; but upon revisiting a sample of this I got from DecantX a year ago, I honestly fell in love with this one. For me it's an angelica, musk and amber bomb and my lady loves it on me. It's alot darker and I can see myself wearing it for most winter nights. I can see how it can smell like my fellow colleague below advised as a "dusty furniture" because it does...like fresh, cashmere like musky dust and I love it.

I blind bought this because I saw great ratings, reviews and was at a good price at my local discounter. I'll be honest I was not a fan of it at the start and felt it smelt too much like baby powder in the opening BUT once it settles, even though the powdery-ness is still there, it is more subdued and then this addictive sweetness comes in that I just cannot stop smelling. This is amazing. The longevity is incredible, if I spray it at 8 am, I still pick it up at 6. If you spray it on clothes you'll smell it days later

This is one of my all time favorites, I can't get enough of the scent. As soon as I got my first whiff of this, I tried it on myself, then proceeded with ordering a bottle. Idk why some say it doesn't last long, I think it can be attributed to nose blindness, but the day after wearing it first to work and then home, I catch a bit of it here and there and my friend sensed it as well. I smell good for me, but it's always nice getting compliments from random people when I wear this.

Luna Rossa Black is Prada’s idea of a night out: less soap, more skin. It starts with a hint of citrus, but very quickly becomes a smooth mix of vanilla, musk, and soft tonka. the first time i bought and sprayed this, i thought i made a mistake. then it dried down. holy fuck. at first it felt overly musky and powdery, but man that dry down goes crazy. usually i’ll take a scent with me and spray 5 mins before i meet somebody, but with this i apply way before so it can develop. i’ll spray this on my clothes and two days later i’m in public wondering who smells so good. whole time it’s me. a scent to be remembered by.

One of the best fragrances I’ve ever smelled.. to me it smells like a powdered pastry the amber in it is so beautiful and sweet this was one of my original pickups when I first started to collect and inspired me to keep finding more fragrances that smelled just as good ! For me this will be a lifetime fragrance I will always have to have on hand I already have 2 extra 100ml and a 50ml in the backup.. I give this a 10/10 everyday of the week..

This is going to sound so stupid but this smells like a dark, mysterious powdered donut. While its not weak, the powdery nature of this fragrance makes it feel quite soft, not heavy like you would expect from a darker scent. This is a 10/10 fragrance for me. Even though powdery vanilla has been done before, this one is not overly sweet. Instead it has this soft seduction that leaves me sniffing the air hoping to catch my own scent trail.

Powdery, ambery, musky. Effortlessly masculine, yet it has a softness and warmth to it. Yeah, it has an almost baby powder like smell to it, but it's really nice. Sometimes I wonder if I wish it was louder(projected more), but I don't think it would be as mystical or nice if it did project more, I feel like it would get cloying. It's a very comforting scent. I would recommend it for intimate moments with your significant other. 9.5/10

This fragrance is the weakest of the weakest, only a bitch boy would wear this, the scent is gone after 1hour, i hate l'oreal(france)! and why the fuck did prada agree with l'oreal ?puig(spain) did it way better the formula is changed and its weak as fuck !!! Bitch ass sillage and projection and i paid 80euro for this, man this is the last time im buying prada or a western designer fragrance fucking cash grabbing motherfuckers

I love the smell of this stuff. It's my second bottle. I honestly can't tell you what I'm smelling, other than It's powdery musk which is very masculine. It lasts decently long, however it is not a compliment getter, which makes me think it doesn't project very well. It's a perfume that I wear for myself, because I love the smell. Price wise, average designer perfume. Smell: 10/10 Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 4/10 Price: 6/10

Soft, warm, powdery and sweet. I get a distinct black pepper corn kind of smell. Smells very clean. Super likeable for most people. If you are a fan of things like Prada lhomme and YSL La nuit de lhomme, i think that you might like this one as well. It does not project that much but has decent longevity. Not even close to the other Luna rossa line scents. As someone who loves a bit of powder, I like it very much!

I don’t have it yet, but i will. Super picky guy and this one i sprayed so randomly out of curiosity cause i saw some vids about it and oh wowww. This is warm, It’s spicy, a little sweet, and powdery in the best way. Idk how do the listed notes combine into THAT smell. But this is so good! Longevity is 6 or so hours on my hand and projetion i don’t know. But this scent is personal now. So doesn’t matter.

After getting my hands on a 2017 Macy’s tester I was blown away comparing it to my newer 2022 Sephora bottle, there is definitely a difference in formulation. Older formulation you get more citrus along with beautiful green herbs. More musk than powdered and solid performance. I’ve honestly never smelled anything like it. New formulation is more of a crowd pleasing amber fragrance that makes you go meh.

something about this fragrance is just so perfect, ive wanted this for so long and finally got it and no regrets, this (at least to me) does not smell to basic it smells BEAUTIFUL and its so crazy, the moment I bought the bottle, brung it home, sprayed it on my wrist, went outside, already got 2 compliments. Beautiful fragrance and the best in the prada line get it BLIND BUY SAFE BTW 10/10

Universally loved, this is popular for good reason. Its easy to wear yet somehow still sexy and mysterious. It goes just as well on a night out as it does winding down. Its a fall/winter scent but you can get away with this in the spring and summer at night. Even though its an approachable scent, its unique. You know exactly what it is when you smell it on someone.

Best Prada cologne ever. This for the guy who doesn't want to smell like a candy bar. This is manly without being too loud and desperate. Some reviews say its boring but I think it's unique. You're a guy who likes to wear suits or a nice button down shirt? This is for you. Do you wear a black T shirt and ride a cruiser or Harley? This is also for you.

One of the BEST fragrances out there in my opinion, criminally underrated. The mix of the notes gives it a mysterious sexy sweet scent. The bergamot in the top note disappears quickly and fades into this creamy musky sweet scent, you could smell the amber and tonka after a while the sillage is mid but the longevity is great, love this fragrance
