Mirages Desert Serenade

Not much to say about this one except it's imho the best honeyed leather fragrance ever, period! The whole Prada Mirages lineup is simply beauty in a bottle,this and 'Miracle Of The Rose' are just standouts in the collection to me. What makes it special to me is how well it's layered, one scent comes in after another and so on, a marvelous feat in perfumery and one that is extremely difficult to do well. Most layered fragrances come out and are strong then just fade and that fade is what they call mid and base but what they really mean is it just dies on your skin and your left with a whimper of a fragrance, but with this the notes pop off one by one like a scent machine. First the cumin, then the honey, then the leather, then the saffron, but the cypress is throughout the composition and gives this its structure. Come on now, this is unbelievable, what a work of art from my favorite all time perfumer and artist Daniela Andrier, she's a magician. No way the devil wears this prada, this one angels wear.

Nice blend of a Tuscan Leather style leather but with a mild sweetness and some spice that twists that very dry theme into something a little smoother. I get a bit of a tobacco feel to this too, maybe that is the spice mixing with the leather. Underneath there is just a touch of green (maybe anis?) but it doesn't pop out as a forest smell or anything like that. I think people that enjoyed Atelier Cologne Gold Leather will very much enjoy this one, I detect some similarities with that, although they are different enough to be easily identifiable. In the drydown I get echoes of Kilian Royal Leather. Very nice release, that I would say leans on the masculine side of unisex.

To my nose this is a severe honey bomb. Dark rich. The leather comes through only when the honey is done and my god the honey takes its time. I bought it from prada on bond Street and I think the whole experience of buying it added to my enjoyment of the fragrance. But right now it is my top dog. I'm trying to stop myself from using it so much! Smelled it in selfridges and thought about it for over a month. Went back on my birthday. Special place in my heart. One of my all time top fragrances

The honey in this is so good! It’s dark and warm, the sweetness of the honey is reduced by the leather and I can imagine the cypress. The whole experience is rich but not sickly - I bizarrely get a warm black tea with honey mixed in. This was a blind buy online because it was half price, do not regret it at all!

Honey.... Honey honey and honey... that what i got when i first sprayed it ... When it settled down i started to get cumin with touch of leather musk and allot of cypress. I guess i like this one although i'm not into those honey blends, but this smells like tobacco cigar honey style blends. Beautiful.

I just got it, all I can say before trying it, magic battle in charming Box. See you later 😘 First Day, I got many compliments 😍 but for me I don’t know sometimes I love it and sometimes I dislike I’m still trying to figure it out, it is absolutely unique and weird scent of whole leathery fragrances that I have tried. As I see it is liner Fragrance coz I smell strong honey with cumin and whiffs of leather comes throughout all time. as for performance is not as much as I expected, projection about 2h longevity on skin about 4h and on cloths more than10h. This is for experienced People who are seasoned in Parfums and I recommend to try it first coz it is not safe for blind buy, My rate is 7.5/10 😇

Got my hands on a Sample of this stuff, Super strong opening Saffron and Honey really stand out a very dark and mature scent. Leather is more prominent in the dry down. NOT blind buy safe Id picture a business CEO or a Underworld Mobster wearing this. Mass Appeal: 5.5/10 Gangster: 8/10

على غير عادة Daniela Andrier العطر غير ممزوج بشكل جيد ابدا. نوتة العسل طاغية جدا على اي نوتة اخرى. بالعادة نوتة العسل قوية ويجب ان تستخدم بنسب صغيرة جدا. لاشيء يكسر رائحتها هنا الا رائحة حيوانيّة خفيفة جدا. غير ذلك، هي تقريبا رائحة خطية من البداية للنهاية مقبول لو كان عطر من باث بودي او عطر رخيص، لكن ليس عطر بهذا السعر. لذلك تقيمي للرائحة ٦/١٠، مقبول لا اكثر. ولكن بالمقارنة بالسعر فالتقييم ٣/١٠ - Contrary to the usual work of Daniela Andrier, the fragrance is not well blended at all. The honey note is extremely dominant over every other note. Normally, honey is a very strong note and should be used in very small amounts. Nothing really breaks its smell here except a very faint animalic nuance. Other than that, it is almost a linear scent from start to finish. It would be acceptable if it were a Bath and Body type fragrance or a cheap perfume, but not at this price point. Therefore, my rating for the scent itself is 6/10, acceptable and nothing more. But when compared to the price, the rating drops to 3/10.

The description of this one is so compelling and seemingly full of things I love to smell. But I hate it. On me, the waxy honey is too strong and screeches from my wrist. If there had been a touch of fruit, tobacco, vanilla, powder, or a hint of sweetness to compliment it I might have been able to pull it off. As it stands I can’t hang with this one. There is what I can only describe as a dried herb note on top of the leather after the honey moves aside a bit—it seems like a combination of the cypress needles (NOT cypress wood) and saffron—coming out. It’s so sharp on me.

The leather verges on metallic screechy at times and as a result, this just isn't going to work. Had this been levelled a bit better, I could seriously see myself looking to trial it out a lot more, but as it is, it's just too much... The cumin is done right, as is the saffron, but the leather is too much.

This is so bizarre but it smells of cocoa on me and tbh I really enjoy it lol
