No14 Rossetto

This is a gorgeous rose/fruity/violet lipstick scent. If your into that 1950's, retro glam scent profile, you'll love this. At first it opens with a sharp green note that goes away within 5 minutes, It might be the aldehyde mixing with a sharp fruit. but I think it's galbanum, bc listed notes are just advertising anyway. It has that rich, green spiciness of galbanum to me ~ for a few minutes it dominates ~ then supports with a soft, soft, soft spicy. Regardless, this goes sweet, powdery, fruity/floral, hint of spice ~ lipstick. No waxy to my nose, but we all interpret scents differently. It's pricey, yes, but it's an extrait from Prada (that even Prada made hard to find in its own boutiques) and worth the money. 1 or 2 sprays and I have a soft scent bubble that lasts for 8 or more hours. It comes in a 30 ml dab bottle. I transferred into a decorative cut crystal spray bottle bc I don't like getting my skin cells into a parfum, it taints it eventually. If you get a chance to own or try, jump on it!

i tried this little treasure. well the bottle is not beautiful at all, but the pink juice inside...the first minutes i smell powerful bulgarian rose and seems that it is only the rose and nothing else. but after 10 minutes comes the powdery feeling, that makes the perfume very soft and feminal. for the roses lovers i think that it is a must have :)

This was a blind buy from two or three months ago. I have a fondness for the odd and unusual and rose fragrances that don't smell too vintage. No. 14 Rossetto odd, unusual and rose. I didn't like it when I first received it, but I didn't return it because it wasn't horrid. I tried it again and again last week and it has grown to a strong like. It's definitely floral. I can smell the rose and what I thought one or more of the other florals, but it's more than likely the raspberry. I had to compare to another fragrance with a raspberry top. It has the possibilities of love.

Managed to snag a sealed bottle recently at Saks Off Fifth for $200USD. It's still available as of 11/8. It doesn't come with an atomizer/spray nozzle setup, so you need to invest in a good atomizer if you don't like dabbing (ick) because the extrait is pricey at 1 fl oz. even at the outlet's discounted rate. Rossetto is very much a powdery and musky classic lipstick with a touch of updateness from the green (pineapple?) facet, harkening back to olden days rather than the sugary violet-raspberry-fluorescent rose lipstick of the electrifying, nightclub era 90s. Objectively, it's a GOOD lipstick scent. Someone will def love it. But I just can't stand the heavy headaching-inducing aldehydic and musky weight this extrait gives.

Musk... those little Mayceys musk sweets that you get (also known as smokers). This is what this parfum smells like. Initial spray at least. After 30 minutes, I smell a fainter version of musk sweets. I don't get any rose or other notes listed. it's a lovely parfum if you love musk. The packaging is fancy, it comes in a a soft outer box, then a rigid box, then inside that another ridgid box, to unravel this solid, sturdy 30ml pure parfum bottle. Lovely packaging for sure. I am glad I purchased this, as I love musk fragrances.
