Prada Amber Pour Homme (Prada Man)

So here is my definitive review of 4 different versions of this fragrance... The 4 versions are as follows: New L’Oreal version, Made in Spain version, Jubilee Inspired PD185 (Clone) & Perfume Parlour Tertiary Mix for Men (Clone). As a quick note, all versions largely have the same smell but do give a different feeling in how they come across. The New L’Oreal version: Grey liquid, new plaque. Comes across as clean white soap, very soft, very pleasant. It also comes across as slightly thin and possibly lacks a bit of character / depth. Does smell like quality and longevity is excellent. The Made in Spain Version: Grey liquid with a clear purple tinge (strangely, the juice is bright purple only when taking a picture of it but not to the naked eye). Old plaque. Smells just slightly more interesting than the new one. The difference is minor. Maybe just slightly more resins / depth. **One important note is that I’m not sure whether my bottle has slightly spoiled or whether my bottle is one of the last PUIG batches which apparently weren’t great. Performance on this is bad, absolutely gone after 4 hours. If this is what all older Spain batches are like then this is massively overhyped, you’d be better off with the new version, at least that lasts longer. Jubilee Inspired PD185 – Very similar to the new L’Oreal version. Quite strong in the opening, possibly the strongest opening of the bunch. Comes across very clean white. It has a soapy powdery aspect. Can cause nose blindness. Lacks the myrrh and saffron I think; the base is thin. Does appear to die down after around 3 or 4 hours. My wife said this is too strong but I don’t think she meant it in a good way, she said it would annoy colleagues if they sat next to you with this. Perfume Parlour Tertiary Mix for Men – This one is actually the closest to what people describe the older Spain batches being like. Soapy opening and after 30 minutes there are clear and distinct myrrh, saffron and a touch of leather in the base, very noticeable. The soapiness remains and the spices come through – very clean and masculine. I do wish the opening / top of this fragrance had a bit more of the powder that the Jubilee Inspired has in the top – it really suits this fragrance. As such this version comes across as more soapy than powdery. Performance is very very good both longevity and projection. Wife said it smells more natural than the Jubilee one. For me the Perfume Parlour version is the best but I have to say their website is laughable. I had to contact their customer service to clarify which fragrance smells like Amber Pour Homme. On the website this is described as being ‘similer’ to Prada Candy. Wrong fragrance and bad spelling. Not to mention it’s generally a badly designed website. They also have too many options for the same fragrance, ie hand-soap, candle, EDP, extrait – annoying. Just put out your best version.

And all of its grandeur and opulence. Maybe this is how Tributes such as Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, and Finnick Odair smelled like once they have been washed off all the grime from the arena, with a soap that costs more than a month of hard work. When they have been all prepped to face the elite Capitol crowd and the thick cameras. With this juice on, I feel—and smell—so clean. Not just squeaky clean, but the luxurious kind of clean. Something that I might not afford even if I abstain from fine bread for a month or so. On train rides, around the corner of my eyes I see members of the crowd too, secretly trying to catch some whiffs of my scent, which probably radiates from an arm’s length. It stays like that for seven to ten hours, until it fades to a manlier skin trace. Manlier, I say, because at its early stage, this scent is more inclined to being androgynous. As I had mentioned earlier. Amusingly when I first tested this fragrance, I pretended to not enjoy it, since it lacks the mystical smoky feel of my favorite fragrance, its “Intense” brother. But my actions betrayed my words. A week later, I made a purchase. I realized that if fragrances could talk, Prada Man isn’t the kind that screams, “Look at me, girls, I’m here!” Instead, it says “It’s a pleasure to meet you, my lady.” It conjures up respect. Subtleness. Elegance. I admit that I enjoy every bit of this gem now. I might tend to reach for this bottle more often during hotter days, generously giving myself some seven sprays or more at once, yet dreading the moment when the bottle will become empty, which will mean a definite repurchase.

I've always had a special love for this fragrance, despite the fact that NO ONE I've asked has ever liked it on me. Whatever. I wear fragrances for ME, not to impress other people. The beautiful thing about this fragrance is that each note is an underdog/background note. You don't typically see notes like saffron, labdanum, myrrh, or geranium in the forefront of today's fragrances. That's the beauty of this fragrance, because it gives you a chance to appreciate the notes that don't typically get a chance to shine. I appreciate any fragrances that interpret leather in a unique way. Too often, leather is used to inject stereotypical masculinity into fragrances, and I find that cliché, annoying, and tired. This fragrance is the complete opposite of stereotypical masculinity. It's balmy, yet sweet..complicated, yet simple. Hard to put your finger on, and hard to describe. There's something misty, foggy, and powdery about it. It's clean, spicy, and sharp all at the same time. On my skin, it's smooth and sexy. I picture this fragrance being worn by a well-groomed, suit-and-tie, 30-something man. It's very metrosexual, as a man who takes care of himself. This will sound really weird, but this scent evokes a certain strange memory for me. Back in high school when I took AP Biology, we did an experiment with fruit fly genetics. We had to periodically knock the flies out with this fluid called fly-nap, that would render the flies unconscious for a long enough time to examine them and count them...and this cologne reminds me of the smell of that fly-nap substance. It's one of those things you love smelling, but shouldn't. Kinda like gasoline, pine-sol, newspaper, or mildew. All in all, this is a beautifully crafted, sexy, spicy/balmy cologne that magnificently deviates from the stereotypes and the expected. 10/10.

I have the purple juice produced in Spain, although I am curious about the new formulation. I discovered this gem several years ago by accident while ordering samples to find a sensual warm 'amber' scent for cooler weather. I had no idea I was about to discover a scent that would end up being one of my most worn fragrances and the closest thing to a signature scent I've had since I've been into fragramces. I was gloriously surprised when I dabbed it on. The reviews below have already said it countless times... "soap!". Pure, refined, luxurious soap. Quintessential clean. A bit powdery. Unisex, yet simultaneously masculine. When I find myself in a situation where I simply need to smell well groomed, whether its at the office, a first date, a job interview, before bed, or a myriad of other occasions, this is the first scent I consider reaching for. Perhaps there are better strategic choices for certain business meetings, and second dates, but for most indoor professions and most everyday encounters, this will do the job and do it well. The intense version is also very impressive. Similar soapy DNA, just not as versatile. In the soapy fragrance hall of fame amongst Acqua di Parma Colonia, Mugler Cologne, Platinum Egoiste, and Amber pour Homme Intense, og Prada Amber pour Homme is #1. Hopefully this will remain available for purchase for years to come. Better yet, one of these niche houses will take note of its popularity and turn it up to 11. 11/10 would bang again and again!

Before my review. This has been difficult to find in last 2-3 years. I don't want to disregard the discontinuation, but I have just purchased a bottle that was manufactured in May 2024, that is a bit strange. I also didn't want to believe the reformulation talk. I have purchased a sample 4 years ago. The scent profile is a bit different from this new bottle. Sample was more raw in a good way, more resinous, fuller and punchier. This one is still great, but is much closer to Infusion d'Homme with the soft soapiness. But it can be just because the juice needs to age more. I have to admit, this should be the Prada fragrance for men. It is elegant, yet still masculine. For me it is an old bar of soap in an old bathroom, in an italian mansion (all in the best way possible). The resinous quality lifts this up from just boring soapy fragrance. I do enjoy Prada L'Homme, but this will always be a better fragrance. There is no situation you couldn't wear this. Much more elegant choice then any blue scent. Also the bottle radiates old time elegance. If it wasn't a cardinal sin to display this bottle in the bathroom, I would do it. Prada Amber Pour Homme is a timeless classic. In case you can't find it or you don't have it, I would recomment MFK Masculin Pluriel. It is a different scent, but it gives me similar vibe.

I was young when Amber Pour Homme became one of my first "wow" scents, gently taking me hostage amid the loud, weird olfactory messes of 00's men's "fashion house" fragrances. It's also one of my most complimented scents I've ever worn. Soapy, warm, powdery, yet still elegant and a tad mysterious – with just a hint of leather in the base – Amber Pour Homme really sings on coolish days with lots of sunshine. The cardamom note is ethereal and "sparkles" like I've never experienced in fragrance; a testament to how well blended this scent is. The gentle sandalwood in APH is slightly effervescent and "sunny" – similar to the sandalwood in my fave sandalwood frag, Guerlain Samsara. I'd even call this a "barbershop" scent – albeit a very modern, youthful, snappy barbershop without the heaviness or stuffiness that makes you fan your face. I imagine someone wearing this with a crisp white shirt to a sunny Sunday brunch in the early spring when the midday hours are still balmy. Prada's fragrance offerings seem to never, ever miss – L'Homme, La Femme, Infusion D'Iris...all distinguished scents that exude sophistication and class. Amber Pour Homme belongs in the VIP room with all the best of Prada's refined creations.

I dont know why so many people disregard or give a negative review about this. Its a LUXURY fragrance. Not a one night stand, sexy nights, romantic evening or rugged masculine fragrance. Its a sense of clean and refreshing. its actually great for gym too. Ive gotten many compliments by women. Its nice for day and meant for the clean gentleman. nor for the rough and tough machismo. If you are rugged, this fragrance compliments and give you that clean and refined man. If you are just a clean versatile or average male, this still compliments you and adds that gentleman with class and luxury. Its not meant to be a signature scent at all or for seducing or for dark seductive nights. unless you have your natural smooth manly suave personal as your weapon already. A great fragrance over all. the "soapy" scent is the clean fresh scent that should be praised. not taken as a negative. it wakes the senses and lets others take notice as your scent would be the most dominant when you enter the room. thats why they released Prada Intense, for the actual opposite of this fragrance, for the seductive, masculine musky nights. Prada knows what they are doing. If you disagree, your not one for Luxury.

Prada Amber Pour Homme is often described as a clean soapy fragrance, but on my skin it behaves much more interestingly. From the very beginning it reminds me of L’Heure Bleue. There is something in the slightly powdery, soft sweetness that immediately brought that classic to mind. Of course they are not the same fragrance. L’Heure Bleue is more floral and vintage in character, but the mood feels surprisingly similar. Prada just presents that feeling in a much cleaner and more masculine way. Neroli, soapiness, and warm resins create a polished barbershop style scent, but underneath there’s an elegant powdery warmth that gives it a slightly old school soul. Performance on my skin is excellent. Two sprays are enough and it projects in a very airy way without ever becoming overpowering. It is always noticeable but never loud, and it easily lasts the whole day. To me, Prada Amber Pour Homme feels like a modern masculine fragrance that somehow captures a small part of the atmosphere of L’Heure Bleue, translated into a clean Italian barbershop style. Classy, comforting ... a masterpiece!

Deep associations with this. It was my first grown up fragrance purchase. My first signature. Purchased it at duty-free airport when first released. Long lasting and beautiful purple colored juice. I was around 20 years old. Thought I lost the bottle after moving out of my parents home. About 12 years later we found it at the house -- dusty, dirty, and no longer purple. It was just clear water. The fragrance had oxidized. Zero smell. I put an order in a new one. Total disappointment. It was the new made in France version after Puig sold to L'Oreal. Same smell but completely watered down. Bottle color different. Not worth it. Recently found a 50ml from the final year of made in Spain bottles. Manufacture code said it's from 2022. The big switch happened sometime in 2021-2022 so assuming this was the final batch of the treasured Spain version. Beautiful deep purple color. Soapy. Nuclear. I can still smell it 24 hours later on my skin just as I remembered it 20 years ago. Not sure how the newest batches are, but I think even the watered down ones are being discontinued.

I got a new batch of this stuff and I have never smelled the original formulation. It seems readily available, in the UK at least. You can get it in most Superdrug stores. I got a 100ml bottle for £85. Overall this is a nice fragrance but i must say it is very thin. I'm not making any comparison with old formulations here. It just lacks character and presence. I don't get any resins or spices and I think a fragrance like this really needs it to justify the price tag. It's not enough to have a fragrance just faintly smell of a bar of soap; it's has to come across as luxurious and as having depth. It's not powdery enough and it's not thick enough. As a quick comparison... Whilst it doesn't smell the same, Alfred Sung Homme (only£18) also has this bar of soap aspect at the top but then has these thick, clean spices that give it depth and presence. A fantastic combination. I am returning this and I've given it one last try - I keep smelling my arm and I keep thinking this is nice but it simply isn't worth the price. It should be around £40-£50 for this max.

●Prada Amber Pour Homme (PAPH) HAS NOT been discontinued but has unfortunately undergone a reformulation● The original purple Spain version of PAPH has cemented its status as a sophisticated, soapy, and refined fragrance for men who appreciate understated luxury. Its clean, powdery scent projects professionalism, confidence, and timeless elegance. Perfect for work or formal settings, it stands out as a hallmark of versatility and finesse. The reformulated France version (featuring a lighter, grayish color), unfortunately, lacks the depth and opulence of its predecessor. While there are some similarities, the new formula introduces a more peppery opening, and the iconic luxurious soapiness is notably diminished, leaving the fragrance less compelling. For collectors and enthusiasts, tracking down the original Spain-made bottles might require determination, as they are becoming increasingly rare. Nonetheless, their enduring appeal ensures that the search is well worth the effort for those who cherish the distinctive sophistication of the original formula.

One of the best fragrances ever created!! I have two bottles of this stuff and I have one in my wine cooler on standby and one in my bedroom which is the one I use from time to time. I have the made in Spain versions and according to the batch codes on both bottles they are around 5 years old which is why I keep one in my cooler to help prolong the fragrance for as long as I can. I can't begin to say how incredible this fragrance smells, clean, spicy, fresh, warm, soapy, with a hint of sweetness that's absolutely intoxicating and elegant and I do pick up that leather in the base but it's a very smooth leather . I heard that this fragrance was discontinued so that is my excuse for purchasing two bottles and I'm glad I did but I would love to try the new version with the grey juice for comparison purposes. Great fragrance and the bottle is one of the most unique bottles out there which makes it stand out amongst my other fragrances. I appreciate the perfumer for this creation because for me it is definitely a masterpiece that deserves hype and praise.

If you're reading this and have never smelled this before, know that the "main accords" is absolutely misleading. This is somewhat an "amber" fragrance in the sense that amber is an imaginary scent concoction based in vanillin, labdanum, other resins, tonka, patchouli. Yes, this contains those things, but what anyone would need to understand is Prada is the quintessential Italian designer house, next to Gucci. Modern Italian masculine scents are exceptionally clean and put together. Italian men don't wish to smell like bubblegum, or a hippie commune. A well dressed, clean smelling Italian man exudes masculinity and success within the culture of Italy in the north. He gives off images of a modern loft, condo, or penthouse lease in the buildings of Milan. This fragrance is Prada Italian sweet/resinous accord for men. The primary vibe is the clean, smooth Musk, sandalwood, vetiver. A professional and office safe moderate projector. This is reminiscent of L'orpheline by Serge Lutens. Extremely clean. A love from me, but not for everyone.

I've just secured another bottle. This is the only bottle I got twice in my fragrance journey so far, so that tells something. And yes, it's the Made in Spain bottle and it's a 2019 batch! The liquid gold for the Prada Amber cult! And luckily I still have like 2 ml travel decant of the gray juice. I must say the gray juice smells really close to the purple juice. The gray one is similar to the old juice but just a bit lighter, more citrus kick, and turns sweeter. The purple one has a really short-lived citrus kick but goes straight Myrrh-Musk combo that feels a good bit more dense. Around their midlife, they are virtually the same scent-wise and I just got tired of nitpicking. All I can say is the purple juice performs better because the mid feels more dense, while the gray juice stays fresher and sweeter which smells nice in modern times, but that's what pulls its performance back. Yeah I just wanted to yap about this a bit 'cause I just got it again right at the day my old bottle ran out and it felt like a miracle.

Like some others in the comments say, this is very much a clean and warm luxurious soap in a bottle. It has great depth and a richness to it that even the likes of Prada L'Homme, their more prominent men's fragrance to date, lacks in slightly. Projects fairly well and lasts pretty long (about 2-3 feet strong projection for 3-4 hours and lasts on my skin anywhere from 8-10 hours with moderate spraying). Given its a clean type of smell its impressive how well it performs. Sampled this fragrance many years ago when I first started my fragrance journey and I liked it a lot. Just recently I was able to get this fragrance for a good price and I truly enjoy it even more now than I did then. Definitely has a more unisex feel much akin to Prada L'Homme - which I also own and really enjoy - but can be pulled off by a man with no problem. Wish I had picked up a bottle of it back then before it got discontinued, it really is a great value for what it does.

I remember smelling this at the mall in the early 2010's (shortly after the release of the intense version). I was instantly hooked. I made up a whole fantasy in my head about how awesome my life would be if only I could smell like this 24/7. That was back when it came with the old-timey bulb atomizer. I didn't end up buying it until nearly a decade later, and it hadn't lost any of it's magic. It has that white bar soap, musky, powdery freshness. There's a nice sweet citrusiness from the orange blossom and mandarin in the opening. I don't detect any leather at all, but there is a sort of creamy, lotion, nivea cream effect that I sometimes get from "leather" notes in fragrances (i.e. Habit Rouge). The dry down is really interesting as well. It has a big dose of clean white patchouli. On a few wearings, I've been told that I smelled like incense. This puts every men's fragrance that they peddle at today's perfume counters to absolute shame.

One of my most recent purchases. So as expected I got the Made in France version. Some people said Made in Spain (PUIG) is way better, but I cannot tell as I am quite late to test this. Regardless, I find this fragrance as all season fragrance, day and night. Polite, clean, airy. For me I like it better than Prada L'Homme that I also own. It opens with quite bright fresh (but not citrus fresh) then goes to kinda sport style fragrance. Not blue fresh gum sport, but like Dior Homme Sport or Lalique Encre Noir Sport kinda "sport". So a hint of spice, which is not surprising when seeing the listed notes. But I can say I like this one also more than DHS and Lalique ENS die to airier feel. But the down side is performance. Maybe this is the main issue with Made in France version. On me it lasts only around 4 hours. I expect led more than that for a non citrus forward fragrance. So I need to respray to last for whole office day.

For anyone curious I have the newer made in France clear/grey juice as opposed to the old made in Spain purple juice one. This still smells great. This will forever be a hall of fame scent. The soapy description is accurate but it's more than just that. It's a clean resinous warm spicy slightly balsamic and floral masterpiece. Little bit of patchouli in the far dry down which gives it an ever so slight earthy touch. This always to me felt like a 3D version of Prada L'Homme. It has depth and complexity all while maintaining that classic simple Prada soapy vibe. This stuff is unfortunately getting hard to find. This still might be Prada's best fragrance after all these years. I love how Prada stays in their lane and doesn't tend to switch it up too much. They have mastered a specific style of scent. This is easily a for life fragrance.

I have the made in Spain version- purple juice. I am not familiar with the made in France version, so I can't tell you how they compare. My favorite fragrance ever. It is so versatile and easy to wear. The epitome of pleasant, and it is the only fragrance in my collection that is therapeutic. It isn't a head turning, compliment magnet 🧲 It isn't some seductive panty dropper It doesn't have beast mode projection, It is simply an easy going, pleasant and calming/relaxing fragrance, which makes for the best companion. I am at ease when I wear this- my zen fragrance. A wave of peace comes over the world whenever I sprtiz Prada Amber. Modern perfumery doesn't hold a candle to this masterpiece. The only fragrance in my collection that I will a mourn when the juice is empty.

Old: I prefer the opening of this one. That ambery warmth gives me this feeling of pressing your nose on a five star hotel linen sheet and just admiring how clean everything is. Sometimes I also get that "just-pressed shirt" feel. However the spice becomes off-putting on the dry down, which unfortunately turns sour on my skin. New: Opening is an explosion of powdery soap with pleasant, spicy synthetic feel. Dry down is like a barbershop soap with mild sweetness from vanilla. I just get this feeling of just stepping out of a full grooming session. In my opinion the dry down here is better than the old one. TLDR: Old = Fresh Five Star Hotel Linens. New = Powdery Barber's Soap. Bonus: Both performances are good. Hot take: I like the new formulation better.

I knew I was going to love this when I read all these positive reviews here and on YouTube. Plus it's Prada and daniela Andrier have hit the target every single time from what I've tried. I totally get the luxurious hotel soap description people have used. The smooth powderiness gives me a luxurious barbershop vibe, either way what a scent!!! I also agree with most people describing this as "more male". The clean fresh florals are what stop it from being fully masculine. The citruses, woods, vanilla here are all so smooth. 2 hours in with 4 sprays and this is projecting so nicely. I can tell the longevity will be great. Multiple sources say it's being discontinued so if you can get one before it's no longer available, then I would highly recommend.

My obsession with this fragrance continues... I have re-purchased the new L'Oreal version (having previously returned it) so I have both this and the Puig version. Very strangely I've noticed that the new L'Oreal version I received has purple liquid. It actually looks more purple than my Puig version which has gone a lot darker in colour. It's definitely a new one as it has the new plaque and made in France label. On testing both side by side, the smell is almost identical. You can maybe get slightly more myrrh in the Puig, maybe, only if you dig your nose in. I am definitely getting myrrh in the new one, even though it's not listed on the plaque. Performance is really good on the new one - 10 hours soft projection. Perfect for this fragrance.

I purchased a bottle retail (the light grey version) last week and have worn it night and day since then. This is addictive stuff, absolutely fantastic! This is my seventh Prada and it shot right up into my all-time top 5. I love scents that are not too loud so I can wear them without annoying the hell out of everyone. This perfume certainly fits the bill with its soft, clean beautiful scent. It lasts quite long on me, too, at least 7 hours. On clothes it lasts more than a day. I think the OG Luna Rossa (launched in 2012) was based on this, there is a clear similarity between the two to my nose. As noted by @Zepster77, Amber pour Homme is available again from certain retailers and discounters in Europe.

I have an original Puig bottle from 2012 and a newer bottle from 2026 (with purple liquid, glad they fixed that!) Guess what? They are really similar, and I love them both (dare I say equally). The new formulation has the same scent DNA as the original: it's soapy, it's clean and it's effortlessly elegant; while it lacks a lot of the warm spiciness of the original, there's something in here, perhaps the vetiver, that gives it a lot of breathability, making it better suited for everyday use. After a while, they both dry down to a bloom of soft vanillic sweetness that insulates you in a comforting cloud for hours on end. A spectacular amber fragrance that is blended to perfection.

It's so well blended and smells very clean. It's like a reserved man who isn't fond of making statements, and prefers to be in the background. But once you get to know him better, you'll realise there's so much more to him, and that he can hold a conversation with anyone. It's at this point when you realise it's not always the loudest who are most charismatic, knowledgeable, or self-assured. I don't have this, but I will get it. There are far too many occasions when I don't need to make a statement, and simply be the guy 'in the background'. It's when I will choose Prada Amber Pour Homme, which possesses a depth and range only I (and my loved one) can savour and appreciate.

Wore this fragrance today and I just can't believe how enjoyable this fragrance is!! I was very wise to buy 2 bottles of this fragrance because Prada Amber Pour Homme is one of my favorite's. The color of the juice I have is purple but I see there are bottles with a grey juice? New formulation maybe? Can't comment on current formulation but what I'm experiencing with this fragrance is that the myhrr in this fragrance is very good. Clean, fresh, classy and can be worn in the office, church, or school. I have a body oil that's a replica of PAPO and when I layer the oil along with the original fragrance I get fireworks. 10/10 masterpiece of a creation from Prada.

Wore my Prada Amber Pour Homme today and I layered it with my scented oil which is the same fragrance with the exception of it being oil based. This fragrance alone is something special but in combination with the oil it is pure magic ✨✨. Clean, soapy, warm scent that has a slight sweetness that really is a unique and perfect combination. This is a fragrance that I truly enjoy to wear quite a bit so it's a good thing I have a backup bottle of this stuff because to me it's that good 👍🏾. 10/10 masterpiece of a fragrance from Prada and if you like a fragrance that's sophisticated and classy I suggest you purchase Prada Amber Pour Homme to add to your collection.

I love this fragrance and i despise Prada & L'Oréal for first reformulating it and later making it borderline impossible to find it. It's a complex clean, spicy, soapy, fresh, resinous/balsamic scent with a sweet base, one of the best fragrances i've ever smelled. Incredible stuff honestly. I have an older Puig batch and the performance is great. So easy to wear yet classy and also versatile, you can wear this to work, to the gym, running errands, anything basically. Easily a 4 season fragrance too. The bottle is also really good. The ingredients on the metal plate is a nice touch and place of the atomizer is un ortodox and unique. Great design all around.

Prada Man is masculine, soapy and clean. It's done exceptionally well. An amber fougere that punches higher than the average designer release with this similar DNA. This is a very easy-to-wear scent that is hyper-versatile. From the gym to the boardroom, dressed up or dressed down, day or night, any occasion, any reason, any season, and signature scent worthy, It's never a bad time to smell clean and well groomed. Prada as a fragrance house has consistently produced high quality and unique men offerings that are never mediocre or redundant. An ultimate universal fragrance. Inoffensive, Office-safe, any season, any situation, any place, type of fragrance. A grab and go crowd pleaser. I have the Made in Spain version which I have read is the better vintage bottle prior to reformulation of France. I cannot comment with the former but the made in Spain batch is delightful to wear and compliment getting. Clean, luxury soap with a kiss of ambery sweetness. This is a good one that I am very late in the game to get into. It is my scent of the day as I have some running around to go do. Get your nose on it... Pretty sure you will not be disappointed.

It was my signature for years, about 10 ago. I gave it a break but I recently got a French bottle and honestly, the magic is still there! Longevity is decent for an EDT of that genre. I am so glad to wear this again once in a while. It never fails to put a smile on my face. It smells clean but interesting. I wore infusion de cèdre for a while but got so bored, it was really just soap. Amber pour homme has layers and character while staying sophisticated. Wear this if you want to smell like you've got your shit together. Love! Ps: Now, they need to bring back the Intense version! How beautiful that was...

I sometimes read reviews for fragrances that claim, "clean and soapy," and then, when I sample, they don't match that description. So, I am very happy to say this one IS clean and soapy, giving off a just-showered-with-a-high-quality-European-bar-soap scent. PAPH is very well blended, performance is excellent, and prices are reasonable. This one has quickly placed itself in my Top 20. My original purchase was a 50 ml bottle and have been liking this fragrance so much, I decided to go for a backup 100 ml bottle. I only have the purple liquid and not the newer gray version. Highly recommend trying.

Fresh soapy sweet with a hint of spice❣️. This fragrance is just amazing and I'm so happy I bought two 100ml bottles at a very decent price because I'm hearing rumblings about this being hard to find or it's discontinued? For me to buy two bottles of this stuff means it's a masterpiece fragrance. The presentation of the bottle is very elegant and unique and I even love the box with the Prada fabric logo on the front. Get this fragrance if you can because it's worth it and you can wear this all year round dressed up or dressed down it doesn't matter how you wear it!! 10/10 perfect fragrance.

I had an old bottle of this and used it all the Way up. When I Got a new one, it was almost a completely different scene, the juice was a another color, the scent profile was much more linear without that creamy base, and the longevity was cut in half. I sold it immediately and went on a hunt to find the old thing again. I now have a back up bottle of this absolutely fantastic scent again. I have niche fragrences in my collection worth ten times the price of this one, yet I still grab this every now and then, for a designer it is some of the best you can get, if you can find an old one.

Words cannot describe how sophisticated yet relaxing this fragrance is. This is a fantastic every day fragrance for pretty much any weather, and it serves as my favorite "just washed the day away and need to take a big breath" fragrance. It smells incredibly classy, powdery, and soapy like the most luxurious hotel body wash. The saffron and myrrh give it such a warm spice, yet it's still very aquatic. Its a warmth that of a hot bath. Hands down one of the best fragrances on the market, and if you can snag the ones that were created in Spain, you've got gold my friends.

I just bought very old version made in Spain - 2010 year Somebody here mentioned that it doesn't age in good way - I can not agree...... - yes the opening and first 5min is not as clean as younger batches - top notes are a little toned down (neroli), but after this time it's still the same perfume - I would say even more deep in base and middle notes. Just wait 5 min and don't smell it 2cm from your skin, but give proper full wear like always and you will get this great waves of sophisticated smell. I have now 5 bottles of this amazing juice ! Just picked up this fragrance today for 68.00 which was a great price considering what I've seen online. This fragrance is very clean, classy and fresh with the right amount of powdery aroma. This can be worn to the office with no issues whatsoever and I love the bottle and the color of the juice is awesome. I'm really happy with my purchase and the presentation on the box is nice with that fabric Prada logo on the front is really dope to me. Honestly I give this fragrance a 10/10 because this is my style of fragrance and I'm proud to have it in my collection.

A burst of personal nostalgia, this classic is clean, cirtus and sophisticated. The lavender and orange bloom blend florals with squeaky clean citrus notes, while very light vanilla is zapped with saffron cardamon making it a "sweet masculine" experience. I wore this during the latter part of my studies, on nights out and during my first professional office job. The scent is light with a boyish charm, and will not rock the boat, but leave the wearer feeling suave and stylish.

Recent observation as a longtime PAPH owner of both versions: I saw a version of the bottle where the ingredients list on the little plaque differs in that it also lists lavender which I’ve always suspected despite not listed neither on Fragrantica nor on my bottles. Another curious thing: it was seemingly the purple juice however upon deeper research online I’ve only found the later gray-ish version inside of the Lavender-containing bottle. Could someone unpack the mystery?

Even though I am a female, this is one of my top favorite fragrances to wear. It is very fresh and clean – soapy, as many have described it - but it’s slightly sweet, spicy and leathery at the same time. I also get a bit of sparkling citrus on my skin. When I wear it, I feel both energized and sexy. And although it is a man’s fragrance, I don’t feel one bit masculine wearing it. Quite the opposite in fact. I feel like a confident woman with a sexy little secret.

typically a gym scent to me, which means ive forget about it in my glove compartment . when i wore it today to lecture, a girl i never spoke to stopped me to compliment my scent . as we start conversing more she seemed disappointed i was gay lol (common occurrence) . i think if you want a ladies attention go for this . it was made by two women after all (miuccia & daniela) . you will smell different from all the candied ambroxon “blue” shite coming out now

I was eyeing this fragrance for a while and managed to find a 2018 made in Spain bottle at the chemist. This is an amazing frangrance. It smells sophisticated, and different to what everyone else is wearing at the moment. It smells like expensive soap. It reminds of Prada L'homme, in that it smells powdery, sweet and fresh at the same time. Definitely has that Prada DNA. Performance isn't amazing, but the scent is 10/10

Prada Amber pour homme was one of the best "clean" fragrances on the market when it was produced in Spain. The newest batches made in France are watered down and much weaker, close to the skin. it is just a shadow of an excellent, strong fragrance that it used to be when made in Spain. Really disappointing and shame for Prada. Get made in Spain version. The one made in France is not worth the money.

i have the last batch and it still smells good, fresh and clean. don't confuse this freshness with aqua di gio or some other blue, because it's totally different and higher league. you must like this type of perfume, because it's masculine and clean, it comes from the era when this is how a man smelled. it's not sweet one million etc. Is it still available in the usa?

Prada Amber has become my absolute favorite in my fragrance journey and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys soapy, amber or spicy fragrances. The amber and lavender here are done beautifully and it feels sophisticated and wearable, a perfect daily for me even in texan heat. Performance is solid and gets better as it goes on. I would say it is blind buy safe.

I honestly recommend finding the original version Made in Spain. This is the good old fragrance we love. However, If you can't find the old version, eventually the new reformulation (gray) is still a similar fragrance which is unique compared to others on the market. today I bought the old used version and yes this is it (the new version I sold)

This was the greatest soapy/powdery designer fragrance before it was reformulated. I would take the 2006 version of this over ANY designer fragrance. After reformulation, this smells around 60% of what it used to be. It currently still smells good enough for me to continue purchasing and wearing it. I really wish I could get the 2006 batch tho.
