Prada Candy Night

i do love it, it is very nice scent, but i understand it is not for everyone. first of all, longevity is not that impressive, and while i am ok with that, because i like my scents to fade away, this may not be what you are looking for. secondly, the scent itself and the design of the bottle and the name do not match very well, as i see it. the same with original Prada Candy (which i have and love as well). it is not as sweet as you would think from the name and it is not as girly as you may assume from the design of the bottle. i do see it fitting people who like Prada Infusion d'Iris, to my nose Prada Candy are the daughters of the Prada Infusion. But those who like Prada Iris will most likely overlook bottles that have a design like Prada Candy. They look like totally different scent families, and they are, but the dnr is much stronger as one may assume looking at the bottles and reading the names. To me it is more about cacao than a chocolate, and a certain bitterness exists there, yes, it do like it, but i may see it is not everyone's cup of tea. It this opens with dark dry cacao powder and is kind of gourmand in the beginning (but not as gourmand as gourmand lover may expect), later it dries down to a clean scent, kind of paper/cardboard type clean, patchouli, i assume, in that sense slightly similar to Prada Iris and then before it disappears. it is sweet due to vanilla but grown up type of sweet, and slightly powdery, but not too much, again, the same type of powdery as Prada Infuson Iris, not the guerlain or makeup type of powder. very nice, light and lovely, but you either have to like light fleeting scents or enjoy to respray in order to love this one. to my nose, very similar to OG Prada Candy, but just with added cacao.

This is so lovely and lasts and projects better than all the prada candy flankers (original included). I don't get orange either (even better for me), what I get right away is cocoa with some spice and I wondered what the combo reminded me of... and then I realised it reminds me of a chocolate lebkuchen caramel toffee (the spice I was picking up was ginger). Also in the drydown, this is more caramel-y than the original prada candy which fades into a soft vanilla sugar skinscent. <3 edit: 1. this can be layered nicely on top of armani code satin , since satin has also a cacao note it it ;). 2.Also, as I was re-reading the reviews, I saw a couple of people mentioning that it doesn't last more than 20-30 minutes-most of them also mentioned overspraying.My advice to them is: do not overspray - some perfumes become stronger the more you spray (I do not agree with this practice anyway), but some are more ethereal, it is their nature (doesn't necessarily mean they are weak) , and this is one of those perfumes.It is ethereal, overspraying will get you the opposite results - also don't spray on your neck - just arms. And get out, start walking, do your errands, enjoy the day... and you will get delicious whiffs of this perfume as you go... This isn't a heavy perfume, it is meant to act this way.If however, you want sth heavier with a constant smelling stronger sillage, then this perfume isn't for you. newest edit: If you want that cacao-chocolatey yumminess of the prada night but with longer projection and longevity and a bit more oomph, armani code cashmere is for you - that is, if you can find it...-You're welcome...??? :p

Fragrantica please edit the notes. A cursory google search reveals the following: Head notes: Neroli, Iris, Bitter Orange Heart notes: Tonka bean, Vanilla Base notes: Chocolate, Patchouli With that being said this smells like Christmas to me! Chocolate chip cookies baking, and yes one reviewer nailed it with the Tootsie Roll comparison. My late Papa loved that candy - what a warm reminder! I get a little orange at the beginning which feels a little misplaced but give it a few minutes then the powdery iris makes an appearance. I smell the musk but I don’t really detect the patch and that stuff loves me a little TOO much so it’s either a really soft good one or barely in there at all. It stays pretty linear which I actually love. Imagine it’s Christmas Eve, you’re baking in the kitchen, cocoa powder is wafting in the air from hot cocoa along with an orange Italian cake on the counter, then the most elegant Grandmother or Aunt in your family strolls in wearing some Chanel No. 5. That is what I imagine. This WILL be my “Holiday 2019” scent. I decided to buy a bottle 10 minutes into the first test. Needless to say I love it!

This is decadent dark chocolate. The cocoa hits your nose first, the buttery sweetness of mouth watering caramel, but then patchouli and musk lying underneath it make you say what? Then you have to smell it some more to try and gauge all the scents. Every single time I wear this i find myself sniffing it compulsively, I simply cannot get enough. It is comprised of scents that don't quite work together to create one harmonious smell but rather an unusual combination of scents all holding their own just a bit but are team players for sure. There is a bit of powdery-ness in there too, and that mixed with the musk makes this a mature scent to me even though it is sweet. When I wear this I feel so sexy and sophisticated with a fun wild streak. I am not a huge fan of the other scents in the Prada Candy collection so I really didn't expect to love this one so much. I tested it had to go out and get my hands on a full size asap.

When I first got my bottle, the chocolate note was not as prominent as it is now that I’ve had it for a while and it has had the chance to macerate. This is a very bitter scent. It smells like a Lindt Orange Intense Dark Chocolate bar and, in fact, resembles dark chocolate pralines... actually, it smells a lot like dark chocolate pralines. To my nose, it has a boozy chocolate liqueur/rum undertone. It’s sexy, powdery, and delicious. Overall, it’s a dark and elegant gourmand. However, this may be off-putting to some, as the bitterness mixed with the floral notes can give it a slightly old chocolate scent. I personally love it, but it can be hit or miss for some chocolate fragrance lovers. The lasting power is okay; it could be worse. The performance is just average, though, and it doesn’t perform like a designer perfume should, especially for the price.

This fragrance is so delicious, addictive and intoxicating! It smells as if you've rubbed your body with homemade pure ingredients to make a body scrub. The scent makes me imagine mainly strong cocoa powder, almost in a raw form, mixed with sensual vanilla, dipped in sexy caramel, with drops of bitter orange, (detectable all the time) a note that gives the perfume a feminine, non-girly aura. It has the best longevity of all the other flankers, it's the most wintery out of them all & more suitable for night hours. Gourmand, spicy, sweet-but balanced and slightly powdery. Εdible, yet classy. It's a little bit of everything, without exaggerating. So passionate but also delicate. It kills softly & seduces with grace anyone who smells it... To me it's a huge YES. Simply delicious and seductive fragrance. It smells dark but still fresh. I get a very, very slight hint of citrus, which I believe is what keeps the fragrance from becoming too dark and powdery. It has a calming effect on me. I suspect the chocolate scent is influencing me to feel cozy and peaceful. It's a really delicious creamy and soft fragrance. I feel feminine but in a strong and womanly way. In no way youthful. The fragrance would probably not suit anyone under 18-20 years old. It's too complex and dark for that. I can't help but smell myself when I'm wearing it. Definitely a delicious vanilla and chocolate scent. I also catch a bit of white flowers. But it's in a way where you're not quite sure, but can maybe just sense it. Delicious, delicious fragrance!

I am very new to the Candy Line, but I find it really enjoyable and easy for any occasion! My personal ranking of the ones, I know: 1. Candy Night - dark chocolate, turning into sweet vanilla 2. Candy Kiss - lovely musk, turning into sweet vanilla 3. Candy Original - cool, not sweet, but a lovely caramel, also turning into a soft vanilla (-) Candy Gloss I cannot stand, sadly. Now I know, what a plasticky smell is: plastic cherrys. The bottle is gorgeous. There is this weak staying power to all of them, but with Candy Night and Candy Kiss I am fine (after spraying about 6 times...). As I am at home during lockdown mostly all of the time, I really don ́t mind reapplying. The line is really worth it trying out. There will be one flanker for everyone.

Gorgeous. This stands out beautifully in the Prada Candy line and easily takes my pick for being the strongest in the collection (composition and performance wise). I have this in the travel size (which is a roller-ball) and even the smallest dab across my elbow and wrists makes the biggest impact. To me this smells like a cherry chocolate liquor mixed with vanilla extract and orange peel. This is a gourmand but not in the "mmm so yummy sweet warm cookie" kind of way. It's cold, sexy and very smart. Perfect for someone looking for a more gourmand scent while seemingly disliking the traditional tropes. This lasts pleasantly and has moderate projection. I think this is more of a cool weather/indoor scent but I have yet to test it in the heat.

I'm going to start by saying... I don't like the original. I don't like overly sweet perfumes without much depth. I blind bought this one in particular because someone stated that it smelled like Candy and an Ashtray as if to steer people away. I was on it. I wanted to know. I was willing to pay the price. The first time I tried it, I was like... I like it. It's nice. But as wore it more, I was shook. I completely love it. It's not as they claim. It's sweet spicy. Similar to Fever by Jimmy Choo but with a little more punch. I had a really long day today and when I came home, I got in comfy clothes and spritzed this one. It's so comforting. So, shout out to the person who sold me on candy and cigarettes. This is one of my favorites.

I’m prone to migraines, but never once has this caused one. This is the absolute only perfume I can tolerate for that reason. It’s so heavenly that I can almost hear angels singing when I spray it on. Lol seriously, though, it’s a sweet, delicious cocoa and orange on the initial spray, and then the vanilla appears in the dry down. It’s the most delicious scent I’ve ever encountered, yet the sillage and longevity are comparable to a one night stand with the man of my dreams. The scent disappears way too soon. That’s ok, though... I love it so much that I could literally bathe in it, so I just spray it again when it wears off. It takes twice as much as the competition, but it smells ten times better so it’s a fair trade, IMO.

I feel so lucky to have found a bottle of this in a brick and mortar shop in CT! I remember smelling this a few years ago and really liking it, but I just wasn't into fragrance back then and didn't want to spend the $$. I wasn't going to order from the internet for fear of scammers. It is such a gorgeous bottle and the scent is just as I expected. A cocoa-y powdery slightly orange-y candy smell. It isn't too sweet like so many of the newer chocolates. I wish it lasted a bit longer, but it's not terrible longevity, it's ok. Lots of powdery in the dry down, I think the OG Candy is like powdery too if I remember correctly but I haven't smelled that one in a while either. I love this one though, I could wear it all the time:)

Smelling this on paper/card does it no justice. You have to test it sprayed on yourself. The first time I smelled this it was sprayed on a paper strip and I hated it. A week later I figured I would test it on my skin to give it a second chance, and WOW, there's a massive difference in the scent. It's delicious, deep, powdery chocolate heaven! From that moment, it instantly became a favorite for me. I love it from beginning to end. It's not sickeningly sweet nor does it smell synthetic. Just the right amount of sweet. It's classy chocolate. I don't detect any orange/citrus notes, though. It's the perfect chocolate fragrance in my opinion. I never want to be without it in my collection.

While I can see why some people dislike this scent, I can’t help but love it. I’ve tested the original Prada Candy and I think it was solid, I liked it but it didn’t completely click for me. When I saw that this flanker had chocolate among its notes, I knew I had to try it. Yes, it’s basically PC meets cocoa powder with some oranges slices -like those orange & chocolate cookies. The tonka bean gives some depth. The sillage is not enormous, but I think it’s perfect for some cozy cold nights! The chocolate is not cloying, it is even bitter, but it is a noticiable note. So if you are comfortable smelling this delicious dark chocolate powder note, go for it!

Very long lasting and big sillage fragrance, a lot better performance than any other candy flanker. Powdery but also incredibly chocolatey, almost like walking into a candy shop in Belgium but instead of milk chocolate it's dark chocolate. On the sweeter side, but isn't too sweet; the patchouli and iris give it some seductive, creamy but also slightly floral vibes. It also kinda reminds me of casino air (not in like...the stale, sweaty air; I mean it in the perfumey pleasant smell that seems to be sprayed everywhere). Unique and attention-grabbing, I love it <3 Edit: all the compliments I receive about this are ones telling me I smell like cookies :)

I've tried Prada Candy and it wasn't for me. It was to powdery and wasn't expecting that from a perfume with candy in the name. However I tried Prada Candy Night and hello!!! Yum!!! So good. I really get the chocolate note everyone talks about. It reminds me of how a chocolate candy bar wrapper smells like after you've opened it and ate the chocolate. That's really the only note that sticks out to me. It's still a little powdery, hence that chocolate wrapper vibe i mentioned. I really love it though. I think its a great perfume no one would dislike. Only negative is that it doesn't last long on my skin. Definitely needs to be resprayed often.

I'm a big fan of the whole candy line so this review might be a bit biased. First of all I love the opening! It's like a tangy chocolate candied orange type of burst from the start. This last a few minutes and starts to mellow into the main smooth chocolate smell that lingers quite close to the skin. There is a warmness that I feel continues throughout the fragrance so it's very cozy and comforting type of smell. It has that soft floral prada dna running through it for sure. The iris here lends a powdery note but it's very subtle for me and not taking over the chocolate. Overall one of my favorites if not my favorite from the line.

Okay, this is a medium-dark scent. It's powdery(but not as much as the OG) with the top notes given it a slight tart boost before it levels down to a very chocolate scent(with the iris sticking around lightly). That's obviously a mix of the chocolate & patchouli notes. However, because of the chocolate the patchouli is giving that rendition of itself. So you get a very chocolatey version of patchouli(with the patch actually the most dominate between the two notes). I love the simplicity of the original and am really enjoying this version too. Tbh I didn't think I'd like these as much as I do. Glad I tried the line. 8/10

I don't get any of the cacao that everyone is talking about unfortunately :( On me this smells like an earthy version of the original Prada Candy (which I used to love but not own anymore). I was quite shocked first time I smelled it since this was a blind buy. However, I have come to absolutely love this fragrance and how unique it is. Its sweet, powdery caramel mixed with a very bitter earthy undertone. So my advice is; give it a chance! The dry down is simply amazing. Unfortunately the sillage and longevity is not the best - which is the only drawback with this fragrance. Overall rating 8.5/10.

Not what I expected at all. I get a lot of Neroli in the opening. So much so that it reminded me of 4711 cologne initially. Settles into a soft vanilla on my skin. Unfortunately I do not get a lot of chocolate. It sort of smells like the silver/gold chocolate foil wrapped around bitter chocolate when it dries down. Not overly sweet at all and doesn’t smell cheap. Very cozy skin scent and can’t stop sniffing my wrists. Almost the same vibe as Angel, but without the headache and feeling like you’re being suffocated. Love it and will probably get another full bottle when it runs out.

Love this scent! I’m so glad I get exactly what the pyramid shows. It is a cocoa fragrance (think cocoa powder) unsweetened and dark. The neroli and bitter orange are strongest in the opening and subside to the background, but remain throughout the longevity. You can detect the Prada Candy DNA but they’re different. I can enjoy it year round due to the bitter orange and neroli adding a bit of freshness to the cocoa composition. The vanilla and tonka smooth it out. I imagine a dark chocolate dessert made with neroli water and orange zest and a dusting of cocoa powder on top!

This is a BEAUTIFUL scent. This is my second favorite in my entire collection. It wasn’t love at first sniff because of that sharp musky note at the beginning. But once I realized that you smell such a warm and inviting gourmand right after, I quickly realized that the musk was OK. I love this fragrance. Highly recommend for anyone that loves smelling delicious. Just let the musk settle, I promise you will love it!!! I get a lot of musk, a deep chocolate, and rich caramel. Very nice, the musk tones down the sweetness!

I remember sniffing this on paper in a store and not being super impressed. Then I saw it for a great price from Costco online ($63.99 for the 2.7 oz) and couldn't help it. Now that I have it, I really enjoy it. For some reason, the initial spray has a weird dusty smell to it. Once it dries down though, it is beautiful. It's sweet and I get the vanilla & orange but I don't get as much cocoa right away. It shows up as it dries down further. I don't think you could go wrong with this if you like original Prada Candy.

Prada Candy Night is beautiful. It's a perfect night time fragrance. On me, it's soft and subtle, with a hint of smokiness but it isn't overpowering and lasts a long time. A beautiful vanilla scent with hints of chocolate and caramel and other notes which I can't distinguish. The bottle is gorgeous and perfect for the fragrance inside. Candy Night is one of my absolute favorites. I am so pleased to have it in my collection. Thank you so much to the wonderful person who sent me this. You know who you are. :)

I enjoy so many Prada scents, for varying reasons. This smells like my late dog Ruebie. She died last year, she was a bit old. Yes of course, her feet smelled like fritos and her forehead like turkey bones post-broth, but her core... it was this. She was such a good girl! I've written about her in my Florabotanica review and I hope to write many more evoking good times with my canine friend. I just got a bottle, mostly so that I can sniff her and cry. Snot bubbles and all. I miss my dog. I'm crying now.

The interesting thing is I get a minty blast on first smell. Odd. Unexpected. Then it's gone. I'd say this whole line is unoriginal and overpriced. It is an obvious cash grab for the younger dollars. I would expect something a little more interesting from a design house like Prada. I feel this has been done just as well in celebrity fragrance. Maybe not this exact scent but the vibe is there. My prediction is the candy line will end up at Ross consistently for $20. Then it'd be worth the money.

I really like this fragrance, I have owned the original Prada Candy and I liked it so much that I decided to try the Flankers. I have owned quite a bit of chocolate fragrances but nothing like this one, this one actually smells like powdered cacao or if anything the cacao straight from the tree. You can still feel traces of the original Candy DNA, it's a well executed fragrance, I got a few compliments yesterday. I recommend it and I believe that if someday I use it out I will repurchase.

Blind Buy for me and no regrets. Beautiful smell for me. Probably because I am into the gourmand fragrances and I can smell the chocolate note on my skin - what does not always happen, even when chocolate is listed as a note - it is one of my favourites right now. For me it will last on me up to 4 hours, after that it is mostly a skin scent - as some people have a better smell sense, they will tell me they can smell it on me even when I assume it has disappeared - really nice.

I love almost everything about Prada Candy Night. On my skin, this resembles a sexy cocoa butter scent, which I get sounds weird but I actually really like it. The cacao, vanilla, caramel, and musk are all present. I do not get any orange. I love the bottle and the whole vibe of this fragrance. The part that makes me a little disappointed is the sillage being so intimate, and the longevity isn't great. I can appreciate the more intimate sillage for date night purposes though!

If you want to smell like chocolate, this is the perfume for you! But it doesn't smell like a sweet chocolate, definitely a little bitter, like dark chocolate or baking chocolate. I think its something about the way the iris, Tonka bean and vanilla work together that makes it smell like chocolate. Honestly this fragrance layers well with other chocolatey perfumes. I love to layer it with Lolita Lempicka's "Sweet" to make a really chocolatey cherry scent

This fragrance smells amazing! The initial opening reminds me of Terry's chocolate orange candy, but instead of milk chocolate, it's cacao. I'd also say that the orange note is more of an orange peel fragrance. It's delicious without making you smell juvenile. The dry down has a powdery babydoll scent that reminds me of my childhood. Unfortunately, this fragrance doesn't last long on my skin. I don't mind reapplying though it's worth the experience.

This is so delectable with a prominent chocolate note and a hint of orange. There is definitely some sweet, woody patchouli and spicy tonka in this even though these notes are not listed above. This shares the DNA of the original but is deeper, darker, and more gourmand. Love, Love, Love!

This is a lovely, powdery, cacao, soft evening scent. An easy favorite for me in my collection. It could be a bit heavy for some as it's quite heavy on the powdery-musky aspect, but to me that's what make it - it adds some depth and originality. Bares some resemblance to Guerlain Eau de Lingerie - but this one is more affordable and heavier on the gourmand side. Both are very nice. This one I think is sexier.

Deeper version of the original Prada Candy. It is however not as long lasting. It initially smells of a dark chocolate and earthy tonka and patchouli. It isn't a loud overbearing fragrance. Lighter than I expected. Easy to wear and the neroli and Iris does give it a lovely floral waft. Sexy but does not project. More of an intimate fragrance that lingers on the skin for about 3-4 hours. 7/10

On initial spray, I get booted in the face with soapy iris. It's intense. 5 minutes later, the chocolate/orange/neroli combo soothes me for about an hour-ish. Final dry down gives way to a light, lovely vanilla patchouli combo that's absolutely divine. Fragrance ride on my skin lasts about 2ish hours total. I absolutely adore it, all of it! Including the iris assault.

I'm in love with it. Actually, This is a classic scent except the top, Powderly amber and vanilla. I don't like the top of a few minutes though... and I don't get chocolate either but the sweet is a little bit bitter. Sillage is intimate, which means it's easy to wear. Just do not wear in Summer,It's awful. It is heaven the dry down :)

Prada Candy Night is beautiful. And the bottle is just as pretty. It doesn't smell much like the OG. It's darker and even tho it's not listed in the notes, this smells like black coffee with a bit of sugar with a touch of those floral notes. This is an easy reach for me when it's cooler out or when I want to smell good going to bed.

super different to the og prada candy to my nose !! it's not overly sweet but like a dark chocolate truffle since its a bit bitter and powdery ~ very sexy gourmand imo so really loves up to the night name ~ if i feel like adding some sweetness this goes very nicely on top of cocoa butter body care of layer with sweeter fragrances

I purchased some samples of several of the Prada Candy line, and Night just won my heart. My complaint is it has about a 30 minute lasting time on me. I love the smell of this stuff though so I bought a FB. I just apply it several times a day and that keeps it going! Warm, cozy, lazy. Sweet but not too sweet.

as an admirer of bitchy chypres, grandmas' soapy white florals, unisex citruses and manly leathers, this and lira/l de lolita are the only real gourmands i love, no wonder dyed-in-the-wool gourmand girlies hate it. unsweetened cocoa powder for baking plus a drop of neroli, pretty linear.

Chocolate done right. Not a swiss miss hot chocolate mix chocolate but a nice sweet , rich quality chocolate. The iris gives her a powdery- Ness. Not too much powder, just right. Yes I love her. She's unique to my collection. Just a note I don't get sharp bitter orange at all.

Realistic chocolate scent with a touch of bitter orange. I think it's the neroli that is making it kind of a unique one, and is also probably what's making a lot of people dislike it and not the patchouli in the base which I am not picking at all. It's a 😍 for me.

Wow, I got a rollerball in a swap...what a wonderful treat! Such a soft, rich cocoa smell, but creamy smooth. Surprisingly great for hot weather, and there's a touch of warmth/spice. It's not a slap in the face of sweetness, just a hint of sweet & silky musk.

Love it! When I first spray it on I get a cloud of unsweetened cocoa powder, and after sitting on the skin for a while it transforms into a beautiful creamy, slightly sweet orange chocolate truffle with a hint of vanilla.

I still have a half bottle left of Candy Night. This perfume is so fun and nostalgic. It is a creamy chocolate-y citrus fragrance. But I mostly get the chocolate and vanilla. This is my favorite Prada Candy flanker.

It's lighter than I expected, so that's good. Powdery and vanilla scent. The top contains a little synthetic scent, but it is getting sensual Vanilla after drying down. Just Do not wear Summer!

this is a dry cocoa powder scent, smells like actual unsweetened cocoa powder. it is good for the winter time but longevity is very bad as usual with prada perfumes. but smells nice

Somebody opened the bottle of the original Prada Candy and added a tablespoon of dark chocolate powder, closed, shook, and BOOM! My new favorite Candy was born!

This smells like a better executed Choco Violette by mancera. Smoother with the Prada Candy DNA in the background. The Coco is subtle but nice

This makes me smell like a chocolate snack! Some gourmands give me a headache, but this one doesn’t. Subtle & sexy!!
