Prada Candy Sugar Pop

For lovers of skin scents only. I like this a lot because, despite the description as a sweet fruity gourmand, on me it smells like a white musk skin scent. Something like a super smooth sheer powdery version of Jovan white musk without any sharpness. It does open with a soft sweetish citrus/peach accord but then clean musk. I get a good 4-6 hours from it, which suits me fine because I enjoy topping up throughout the day. If I had to name this I would call it Candy Musk Cloud.If you like powerhouse fragrances stay away from this and Gloss and Kiss too, which I also love, but you guys will hate. Btw I'm anosmic to the original and L'eau made my tongue go numb.

I was so excited to finally find this at my local sephora! Im just trying it this morning. It reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on it. When I think of it I'll be able to give a better review. But for now, heliotrope and peach dominate for sure. I actually rather like it. Like most candies, yeah it's weak. But it's pretty and feminine. Powdery even. Or heliotropey in the baby fresh kind of way. I definitely like it. Bam! I got it! It smells like Dolce and Gabbana the one EDT!

The best way to appreciate the beautiful weaklings out there is to start using a lighter hand with the heavier hitters. It can be hard for us perfume addicts to smell as sharply as the rest of the world. Try 6 sprays max for the faint smelling ones 3 sprays for the regular ones. Try even less for the heavy hitters. Your husbands will be grateful and you'll be able to appreciate all perfumes again within a day!

I actually got a sample of this the last time I was in Sephora. I LOVE original Candy. I was surprised I loved this one as much or more. I love the fresh, fruity opening, and then dry down into that beautiful soft vanilla-sweet smell I associate with candy. It doesn’t last a long time, but perfumes never last long in me. No more than six hours. I plan on picking up the full size for my birthday.

I didn't want to give anyone the wrong impression when I suggested the similarity to intimate fantasy. Theu are by no means identical, in fact I wouldn't even layer them because they wouldn't go. But they just have the same baby sunscreen feel. I actually think this is way more similar to DG the one. But apparently more people agree with my intimate fantasy comparison

This perfume smells very nice, the only problem is that within an hour it's gone. It does not smell like the usual Prada fragrances such as Candy and Candy Night. It is definitely more floral, in Prada sort of way. It has a clean fresh smell. I received samples at a department store. I love it but at the price point, I'm not sure if it's worth purchasing.

I love this scent! At first its very citrusy, but the comedown is soft, sweet and very feminine. Although alot of people claim its short lasting, i can still smell it on my clothes from last week. A perfect scent for younger women who wants something sweet but not in your face sweet. It feels very intimate and like a yummy secret! Highly recommend

This is one of those fragrances that just works for me. It’s a sweet, pretty, sorta fruity, sorta floral, sorta soapy scent on my skin. It smells sweet and clean. I adore it. Very girly. It’s strong on me too. Lasts a good 4-6 hours at least.

I accidentally bought the ugly midget shaped bottle and hated how it looked. I exchanged it for the 1.7 and im so much happier! Beware, the .68oz is not cylindrical. Its shaped like a mushroom and is not beautiful

Actually if anything, sugar pop is the strongest of the candy line, except maybe for florale.

I can't wait to try it once it comes out, Floral Fruity Gourmand is my absolute favorite!

I'm not quite sure about Candy Sugar Pop yet, it seems to be "a like", but it's nowhere near as impressive as Candy Kiss-which in my opinion is the best in line-, Candy Gloss,which is very interesting medicinal rendition, or Candy. Prada Candy Sugar Pop seems to be the fun, playful scent, although it's not the "typical fun fruity tacky girly perfume"- it's Prada. The majority is hoping for "a real floral fruity gourmand", when Candy Sugar Pop is not. A lovely scent, easily likeable, fun, modest, honeyed, well blended and strictly close to the skin. The vanilla here is going to be disapointing for gourmand vanilla lovers as it's more smooth and not even close to being edible and not sweet. The opening is evocative of nail polish remover. It transforms into an apple-y scent, sour a bit, there is some lemon too. It smells familiar, "I know this scent from somewhere". Like an apple solifloral, woodsy, barely any floral, no gourmand really. It's primarily all fruity apple and peach. There is a touch of sugar and a caramelic undernote from Pink Sugar with white musk. Becomes a skin scent fast but does not disappear as fast as people mention.

Very pretty! Sugar pop opens with juicy fruit bubblegum with big load of apples and peaches. That fruityness stays for a long time; as it gets to the heart, I do not really detect any floral notes. It is sweet, but it's also fresh and that keeps it from getting cloying or syrupy. The opening reminds me of The One very much minus lychee. The base is soft, sweet, fluffy and quite floral, not too much caramel here. It's quite like the Prada Candy Florale! Like I would smell musky peonies somewhere but not as intense. The peach keeps lurking in the background as holding the signature note of Sugar Pop. I think the bottle represents the scent very well; that bright combination of candy colors reminds me of the vintage fruit bubblegum wrappers ( matching well with the opening). And the core of the bottle is like Florale's, as I think they have the base in common. It seems to be a happy nice addition to the Candy line, looking and smelling good as her sisters, yet I think the first Candy is the ultimate; most original and pioneer of the Candy family.

Finally got to try this one @ Sephora I love the Candy Line & while yes I don't like them all I always get excited when I see a new release. (Still waiting for a Candy Noir or Intense guys c'mon!!) Any who at first I was a bit put off by this on the strip but I spritzed it on my skin still & proceded to walk around the mall & it grew on me. It was so reminiscent it reminded me of something else..& for some reason I thought of JPG Classique only lighter & doused in caramel..deff a nice one if you like Classique but find it a bit mature & cloying..deff a stand out of the line but shares some similarity to Candy Kiss DNA (dry down is kinda similar)..I deff myself get more apple & carmel than anything..but yes deff my 3rd fav. of the 6..friends seemed to like it on me & told me you need that it smells sooo goood on you!

Honestly, I have a knock-off of this and it was love at first spray because what I got was lemony-citrus sugar vanilla, like an iced pound cake or a tin of citrus pastilles. The longevity is ultra fleeting on the skin and then undetectable in an hour. However, drenching the clothing and hair give another few hours of fun. The good news is it's not like orange or lemon Pledge, The florals and vanilla keep this from happening. Overall, pop a knock-off of this into your purse or in your bathroom for a sweet citrusy rush or better yet, give it to your daughter as her first fragrance. It's soft, sweet, and gone in no time. Edit: my version has what smells a lot like Marc Jacobs Blush after about half an hour and this lasts for several hours. It's neroli, but sweetened.

I really like this one. It isn't too strong so it is perfect for work. I get a strong scent of flowers when I first apply it. Once it dries down it smells strongly of caramel and apple but the apple scent is more like the skin of a red apple versus the meat of the apple. It reminds me of picking an apple from the tree in the fall and smelling the fresh picked apple. I can see myself purchasing more when this is gone. The only downside is that the longevity is only 4 hours on me so I would have to reapply during the day.

Mmmmh fresh and sweet opening, reminded me of pastel colored lollipops that melt in your mouth! Starts with inoffensive fruits and gently opens to caramel and creamy vanilla notes. Interestingly, at dry-down I mostly smells fresh fruity florals. Gourmand but without being loud or giving you a headache, I would say a safe gourmand to try or start with. Lightly floral with fruity-sweet powdery background. After dry down, it's subdued and doesn't take over a room. Probably a good office fragrance. I do like it, but like many other reviewers, I agree that it is weak on projection and a bit generic. Not getting any caramel or vanilla notes on my skin. Edit: I find i'm not reaching for it. I play favorites, and only strong loves get all the attention in my wardrobe. As such, PM me if you want to swap.

Is it me, or does this smell almost identical to Prada Candy L’eau? Blind bought this and am now regretting it because I have the L’eau version. Edit: L’eau is a little sweeter and more mature, while Candy Pop is more floral and a little more youthful. Candy Pop does last longer than L’eau but it only lasts about 5 hours before it completely dies. Anyways, this one has Prada Candy DNA. It's sweet and floral. Perfect for spring

I honestly dismissed this fragrance at first because I figured it would be an over-the-top sugar bomb, and to an extent that is exactly what it is, but it's also very nice! This scent is pleasant and pretty and sweet. I have a 3 ml sample that I decanted from a rollerball to a spray and I look forward to using this up over the next few months when I want something youthful and sweet.

I have a little roller ball of this scent. I find it puts me in a good mood, I like the sweet fruitiness, and it works well with my chemistry. The scent itself appears to be very light, so I am not sure it would be worth investing in a bottle? I feel conflicted as I really like the scent otherwise. Edit: I might buy a bottle for Spring in a couple of months.

I have had all the Prada Candys - when I see a new one I am willing to take the leap & blind buy. Sugar Pop has grown on me. Rollerball was so faint on me, & completely disappeared within a few hours. The spray is much more long lasting, & it has a lovely fruity sweet nectar drydown. I'm glad I gave it a second chance.

Major disappointment! First of all it doesn’t smell like a sugar pop or like candy for that matter. It’s a fresh floral with a hint of sweetness and with an emphasis on floral. Second the performance is just non existent It’s an extremely light, inoffensive, generic and juvenile scent.

A lovely citrus-apple-peach scent with floral undertones. Sweet and fresh. But not really sweet in a gourmand way. The name "Sugar Pop" doesn't quite fit the fragrance. It dries down to the familiar Candy DNA of caramelized powder. Carefree, girly, and fun. I like it!

It’s sprite and powder musk, not at all similar to Candy L’eau (which I like). I think the peach note is what makes it good on me, though not fbw. Maybe fans of Candy Kiss would like this, because it has a similar base. I have a rollerball sample.

This is such a fun and flirty scent! It's definitely sweet, with the caramel and vanilla being super prominent, but the apple and peach notes add a nice brightness that keeps it from being too overpowering. Perfect for daytime wear.

Deff. gotta try this one, L'eau & the original still stand as my favorites from the line, but this sounds promising. wish they'd make a candy in a black bottle already like a Candy Noir or Intense.. just a thought..

I get no Carmel or candy tones, just a light floral musk. Smells just like Clean Skin Reserve blend

Tried a tester. It smells nice but very weak. Not worth the $$ for me right now.

I absolutely love prada candy, but this sugar pop, which I bought thinking it would be just as nice as the candy has left me disappointed. It doesn't last long at all, I can't smell it once I've sprayed it on. It's light and fresh, I don't get the vanilla or caramel. I do get the fruits and some floral coming through. Will wear it grocery shopping, might even give it away. Not impressed. It's a basic scent, teens might enjoy this more. An update: A slight improvement after having time to macerate, not as sharp, today I have layered this with prada paradox, and now I'm liking it. Its giving the sweetness I was wanting. Hopefully I can now finish the bottle using it to layer with my other perfumes

Sugar pop has its own personality and has nothing to do with the other flankers of the line. It’s a spring scent for sure and it’s very fresh, inoffensive and light. This one is cheerful and happy, like a playful little girl! When it opens, drops of a citrusy juice touch my skin, along with melted running caramel. The citrus smell is really intense on me. 🍋🍊Later on, I smell a firmer light caramel scent combined with apple, flower petals and a little powdery vanilla 🍎🌺🌸☁️- it doesn’t project that much and does not last- you smell it only if you bring your hand under your nostril, but it can fill a gray rainy day with rainbows, flowers and candies! 🌈🌧☀️

This perfume has a pretty scent but it barely smells like candy. The scent also does not last long. It is more like a body spray than a perfume. Initially it smells very floral and then it fades to a light Sweet Tart-esque scent. By the time it smells like Sweet Tarts the scent is already basically gone and you have to sniff your wrist to smell it. That being said, I enjoy the light and fresh floral scent that this perfume initially gives. I personally would have marketed it as a floral perfume. Tease Sugar Fleur from Victoria’s Secret is a good alternative if you want something that smells more like candy and lasts longer.

A slightly sweeter and milder/less sharp version of Prada Candy florale. Very very similar - sweet floral citrus. Not worth having both. Nonexistent longevity and sillage, the smell is nice neutral verallgemeinern thing to write home about. The bottle is the best part of it.up can skipp this completelyrics though if u already have Candy florale

Musky/citrusy, more on the musky side (not even listed!!!). Lasts 20 minutes on skin. It's so weak. I don't have anything in my collection that is this short-lived, not even my body mists. I would call it Candy Sugar "Puff", it's gone! Beautiful bottle but the scent doesn't give 'candy' vibes.

Eau Fraiche Soft Pop- i dont really smell.anything but a super light scent of floral citrus which i cant make out to any note in particular. I guess it would be good for summer if u had to wear it. Boring and not worth the money- way better citrus floral fragrances for the money or less.

Smells simple and fresh but very generic. Smells like a perfume section in a Macy's. The scent is mostly just sweet- in a bland way. Fades off the skin pretty quickly into something pretty intimate for the rest of the day. I don't hate it but it's nothing special.

A floral lemon sorbet smelling fragrance with unimpressive longevity. I often have poor longevity with the Candy line in general even though I tend to love the way they smell - this is not a bad scent but it's my least favorite of the ones I've tried.

Smells very youthful and girly. I wish I can describe what it smells like but it’s just like all the other perfumes out there. Non-perfume junkie tweens would love its sweet scent and the cute bottle. safe perfume gift.

It's like if you spilled a years old pack of those powdery love heart candies all at the bottom of your purse along with a generic perfume sample and then you get a chalky love hearty perfume soup.

This is all lemon meringue pie for me. It's outside of what I usually wear, I lean heavily toward gourmands, but this is a refreshing summer fragrance and I've come to love it.

I own Candy Sugar Pop, Original Candy, Candy Night, Candy Gloss, Candy Kiss and Candy L'Eau (i.e. all but Candy Florale which I haven't even smelt). This is a review of them all, gonna try to keep it short. The Original wasn't really what I thought it would be the first time I smelt it since I didn't know the notes at all at the time. I just tried it on in a store and based on the name I had imagined something creamier - imagine drizzling caramel sauce and perhaps some fruity top notes. So, it turned out to be much more powdery than I had imagined, which is not at all bad (I actually love powdery scents), it just wasn't what I had expected. When I got over the first "wasn't what I thought it would be"-phase I did however really like it. Bet most of you know the scent by now so not gonna describe it further. Candy Sugar Pop Pop is my least favorite of them all. It smells like baby wipes - a bit floral and powdery and I don't really recognize much of the original DNA in it. It is not a bad scent but I find it quite flat and boring. If you're looking for a powdery, musky scent I'd recommend Candy Kiss. It is a bit similar to Sugar Pop but much much better - less floral, warm, cozy and soft and although the notes are completely different I can somehow actually smell the Candy DNA faintly. Candy Gloss is the outlier, it doesn't really fit in to the Candy line but I really enjoy it nonetheless. It is a fresh cherry candy scent great for spring, could have been an Escada flanker. Candy Night is the older sister of the Original, it's fuller with a deep orange-cocoa scent, I like it for the dark winter months. My favorite however is Candy L'Eau. It is beautiful. It is a well rounded soft, caramel veil. It's more of a skin scent than the other ones but I love that.

This is a tricky one. I remember I blind bought the small bottle from Sephora. I smelled it straight out of the bottle and immediately didn't like it. It just had this strong, cloying, artificial flower smell. I can't really explain it. Well I sprayed it on my wrist, and it did NOT smell good on me at all. It smelled like this strong, sweet, unpleasant and plasticky floral. Also, it made me break out in a rash (Maybe the floral molecule aspect of the perfume? I'm very sensitive to certain things) so I went and scrubbed it off. I remember the next morning I woke up and put on my robe.. and all of the sudden I smelled this wonderful albeit artificial, sweet, flower smell. I forgot I had sprayed some sugar pop on my robe the night before. On my clothes, it smelled AMAZING. I'm sure this is probably what it was SUPPOSED to smell like... but in the bottle, and on me, it smelled cloying and overpowering. I ended up giving my bottle to my friend, hoping she would have better luck with it. Just goes to show how body chemistry is everything when it comes to perfume. I find the candy line to be quite expensive compared to other perfumes, so please... with ANY of these, resist the urge to blind buy. Go spray a tester on and wait for an hour. It'll probably save you time and effort in the long run.

I am disappointed in this because it has serious issues with sillage and longevity. I can barely notice that I am wearing it. On the skin it is so faint I can’t really make out any notes. It is just way too weak. Sad because it’s nice. Cute and unique bottle and packaging, very nice pop colors. I just think the name is a bit misleading since it is a fresh fragrance and sugar makes me think of something sweet, not acidic. I’ll keep it because of the cuteness and maybe sometimes I will want to wear something very weak.

I have a roller ball of this that I really wanted to like. Every time I smell it I think it's not that bad after all, but after applying it I wonder why I applied this to my skin. This perfume doesn't know what it wants: whether it wants to be fresh or gourmand, sweet or floral, sharp or smooth. It has a dryness to it that tickles my skin. The combination of caramel is strange against the florals and apple. I also got it in a rollerball that got gross-looking over time. All in all, not a fan.

This smells like clean (unused) baby diaper to me. I don't know what it is about the Prada Candy line, but they are so hit-or-miss... Candy and Candy Kiss smell delectable but L'Eau and Sugar Pop smell sooooo dusty, powdery, and not at all what other commenters here have described. I do get some of the 'citruses' and 'floral notes' but not in a remarkable or exciting way. Just a freshly-opened pack of Huggies. Glad I got a mini of this before tracking down a big bottle.
