Prada La Femme Absolu

Chilli, Tolu Balsam, Immortelle, citrus, peach, vanilla and Jamaican pepper? And Broom?? Good grief! The notes here sound like something a clueless wannabe on Master Chef would throw into a dish. Andrier IS a master though, and Prada La Femme Absolu is scrumptious. Rather than an overwhelming mess, it is soft, subtle and very very feminine. I have no idea how those notes blend well together, but they do. Given the ingredients, Absolu should have had bite, with a stinging after burn, but in fact it is very pleasant. I find it more floral than gourmand or spicy. Silage is only slightly more than arm’s length but it is quite long lasting, remaining overnight. I do enjoy Absolu very much, but it doesn’t match the peerless original or the intense version. While Prada La Femme Absolu is an interesting variation, if you already own other versions of Prada La Femme, don’t get indigestion if you can’t get hold of it.

I find this fragrance hard to describe. First sprays remind me of a hot shower. Not in a soapy way at all, but in a luxurious and sexy way. I cannot figure it out, but it's reminiscent of shampoo. Perhaps it's the orange and peach notes. I wouldn't recommend for younger people as it is slightly powdery, but the chili pepper balances it out nicely. The dry down is nice, smells good, but not as interesting as the initial spray.

Beautiful amber-floral, leans a touch vintage. Sweet citrus & peach opening becomes thick orange blossoms with incense and vanilla. Warm and inviting, there's a nice pollenated effect too. I see Amarige in the "Reminds me of" section, and I have to agree, especially in the opening. Reminds me also of the OG Nicole Miller by Nicole Miller. Perfect all year, I think you can get away with this on summer evenings/nights.

Carrying the dna of an older intense aunt of Prada La Femme, this perfume packs power! Spicy with tinge of floral , which could be described as a rose or neroli, this perfume packs a punch, with a classic woodsy vanilla dry down. Classy, current, worth the price

finally Chili pepper in a fragrance again! love it, love it in Agent Provocateur and in Bruno Banani, hope to love it in this too! cant wait to try

Opens with a beautifully sweet blast of fresh sliced peaches and blood oranges. A silky dense orange orchard in full bloom follow soon after when the divine and lushly clean orange blossom/neroli come rolling in. A restrained yet perfectly dosed element of fiery chili peppers injects just a touch of spicy complexity to this composition, keeping it from becoming outright oily/waxy/heady. Spanish broom and immortelle are woven in discreetly like fairy feathers of dusted honey with a bit of powdered herbal vegetal freshness. Everything has room to breathe and stretch out to embrace you. A warm and comfortably sweet tolu balsam resin anchors everything with just enough creamy vanilla to keep everything relaxed and sensual throughout. I could easily drift off to sleep with this ultra soothing beauty. No sharp edges, no harsh angles, everything melds together easily and falls in place like the most plush, cozy velvety soft loveseat to snuggle up into and dream. Ahhh...this is so relaxing....I absolutely love it.

A feminine, amber-floral with a smooth sensual body. The opening, it is sweet peachy-blood orange, and although chili pepper is in the top notes, it is not sharp or super spicy IMO; i think the chili counter balances the sweetness. The middle floral notes neroli, orange blossom & honey-ish immortelle are lovely and approachable and sophisticated. It is a mature sweetness, not a sugary juvenile fragrance. The base of balsam is like warm sweet amber with a touch of creamy vanilla. This is specifically a fall fragrance IMO. I do not have anything like this in my collection. I would apply this lightly and wear to the office or wear it on the weekend on a lunch date. Compared this to the OG, and Intense, I prefer Absolu since it does not contain vetiver. (I'm not a vetiver fan.) Performance is good , 8 hrs on my skin. (testing in spring, will revisit in fall).

Do you want to differentiate and not smell like all the other girls who wear Black opium and La vie est bell? Then i recommend you give this a try, it is fruity floral, fresh and interesting.As the hours pass towards the drydown the scent loses gradually some of its vivacity and becomes more powdery. Personally i enjoy more the initial stages. As a man i would not wear it, but if i met a girl having this on, i would most probably form a positive opinion. 7/10

This scent is AMAZBALLS like seriously I don’t understand how this isn’t more hyped. To my nose this smells like loose chamomile tea with a light hint of pollen and a dash of honey! This scent has quickly shot up to a Top 5. I find myself re-spraying just to get another hit lol the scent screams spring. Might just be my new signature scent.

Originally I wanted to order Prada La Femme Intense, but then I found Absolu and now I don't know which one to go for. Does anyone have both and can tell us the difference? :) Purchased it, but I seldom reach for it :(

Reminds me of a Perry Ellis eau de parfum that I owned back in the 90's - which I struggled with as a twenty something.... but this is more creamier and rounded and appeals greatly as a woman closer to her 50's now.

This smells like a vintage perfume got modernized. I found this too perfumey and formal; consisting of a thick, sweet, silky-smooth, and heady creamy layer, probably including vanilla, amber, vetiver, orange blossom water, and a fruity undertone, surrounding a "dusty" mix (sorry I can't call it powdery) of florals, greens, and beewax. This dusty mix probably includes frangipani (smells coconutty), ylang ylang, tuberose, jasmine, patchouli, solar note (i.e., sunny accord), besides the beewax, which smells here like pollen and resin, much more than smelling like honey. I couldn't tell that there were chilis in there. The creamy part is well-rounded, shiny, and comes with a bit of freshness from the orange note. However, the dusty part is really debatable, and not for all. Gives an impression of Spring, but Prada could have done much better in my opinion, especially for such a bottle.

I bought this from Costco for my mom, it was $50 while Macy price is about $140. (I like to include price point of reference for myself and everyone else). So to start off, it is sweet floral, I don't smell anything spicy like viking or Oud for greatness (like warm and spicy in general). It's floral sweet for sure, more floral than sweet. It's more mature than tennager imo. Would fit 40s and above. The notes are not offensive, blends pretty well imo.

I blindly bought this based on notes. Very classical amber floral. I tried in hot humid weather, it was not cloying at all. Longevity was a bit shorter than I expected. ( 3hours ) I would like to see how it is gonna be in cold weather. Tested in cold season. Longevity was better, 6 hours. I have tested other amber perfume but this is very unique and i will keep it in my collection.

It has a very classical feel to it, like most of the late 80s fragrances. It's not bad, but it feels old and synthetic to my nose. I get a light powdery florals with a bit spicy & little sweet fruity touches from the peach and the chilli.

This is an absolutely gorgeous scent. This heady scent reminds me of the 1960s with notes of incense and oud. It is definitely not for the faint of heart. It's exotic and sexy. So put on your peasant dress and start twirling.

I tried this one today. Smells like la femme but more sweeter in the dry down. It reminds me of classique by JPG. i love it.

It's my next purchase. Beautiful scent and really long lasting. Love it
