Iris Sorbet

This took some time for me love. Its not challanging or anything but I think this one gets better with maceration. I got a decant a year ago and tried a few times when it first arrived. It was just kind of meh at first but now a year later I can smell all the notes. The iris isn't the star but its definitely there adding some depth and sophistication. Im surprised no one lists it as a note since its in the name. The sobet smell is spot on. Refreshing, cooling, sweet and almost gourmand. Good one for the summer rotation.

It is indeed beautiful, but it lacks performance at any price point. When I first sprayed it, "Lipstick Fever" by Juliette Has a Gun came to mind, as the latter offers better performance for a third of the price. On another note, Fragrantica, please stop featuring the fragrances I have in my profile in your "People who like this also like" section. It's both idiotic and frustrating.

Wew this stuff is pretty good. Smells really good exactly as the name applies and lasts a good amount of time on my skin. this fragrance is more on the feminine side and hard to pull off as a guy. As far as the girls this is definitely something to try if you want a sorbet that’s fruity with one note dominating at the end of it’s life span.

too sweet for me tbh it could have been good. i loveee oud symphony by precious liquid which i think is a way better alternative to this

Soft, clean but powdery iris scent that has no lasting power or projection. It stays extremely close to the skin which is disappointing considering the price point. This fragrance would be stellar if it performed better

Copy of my review on Precious Liquid website: This was my first fragrance I sampled from Precious Liquid over a year ago. While I absolutely adore this fragrance as-is, I took off 1 star because I’m Iris-greedy and I would love if this had slightly more Iris! Think of this as eating a deliciously fruity raspbery-rose flavored sorbet with Iris/carrot “sprinkles” - it feels bright and almost “icy” at the beginning where the citrus pucker makes itself known, staying fruit-floral the whole way through until near the end at the drydown, with a lingering finish of gorgeous musk and sandalwood add some warmth. What I envision then is a carved wooden ice cream bowl with just the last melted traces of the most sophisticated and delicious sorbet you’ve ever eaten. Iris Sorbet is especially lovely in the spring when the temps outside are perfect, but can be worn anytime. Men, don’t be afraid to wear this either, it’s not so feminine that men couldn’t absolutely rock this fragrance. This one has been on my to-buy list for awhile, I love its “flirty” character.

Why is the Iris missing from the note profile above? I thought maybe this might be a fantasy note until I checked the manufacturers website and found that it is a listed note, just not listed here. Fragrantica, please correct that. Edit 7/11 - I swear, sometimes I wonder if I have esp. I just received a sample of this fragrance from MaxAroma with another order after asking a question about it a few months ago. I guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, but I hate the sample style this company puts out. It's loose liquid in a packet, like a catsup packet, and gets all over you when you try to open it up. Why didn't they use towelettes? This company certainly charges enough for perfumes you'd think they'd use another method for sampling that wouldn't piss off a potential buyer. As for the fragrance, it has those JHAG chemicals that smell like rubbing alcohol to me. Amberwood's, I believe the editors here call them. Whatever it is destroys what might have been a nice fragrance. Looks like this is another brand to scratch off my list.

The score of this scent at 3.1 is NOT surprising. But as far as the whole line goes, for me, this is maybe one their best in terms of Uniqueness. Overall the line suffers from longevity and having a personality. At 275 a bottle I have only kept one full bottle of anything (salt and pepper) because its sillage is a compliment getter even if not unique, it can layer well, and it lasts. This one is nice but its like every other blue eyed, big boobed bonde cliche...its nice and all but with all the similarities I'm actually looking for substance as well. Overall 3.95/overall...if youre reading these and you care Geo and Richard Herpin....im waiting to be wowed.

Iris Sorbet is so good. It’s exactly what the name says. Herpin is very good at accomplishing this. Fresh cooling raspberry. I would wear this on a warm to hot day. It’s a comforting scent and smells of high quality. 8/10.
