Juniper Oud

My signature, I loved this scent from the start. Personally glad nobody likes it much as it’s for me. I wanted a signature nobody was wearing. I like getting hints of it through out the day. Smells professional and classy. I also use it in casual situations. I mean the guy created TF Oud Wood. Just a step up from TFOW for me. Please lower the rating... Don’t want this gem found by the Sauvage kids.

This is unisex- in the same realm as GRAND SOIR- except this can be worn in the spring and on cool night. This is sexy & bold.

I think this would be an ok fall or winter warm scent, reminds me of Boss Bottled Absolu.

The recent quest of brands to satisfy demand for "beast mode" fragrances is made manifest here in this fragrance. I like some of Richard's recent work and I consider Tom Ford Oud Wood a masterpiece, but this one was made with a heavy hand. Particularly the juniper, which is one of my favorite notes, is overdosed to the extent that it's simply too camphoric and irritating. As if the juniper wasn't enough, he added nutmeg to amplify this effect. The low overall score you see for juniper oud is valid. It lacks balance and is made so strong it ends up entering into vicks vapor rub territory. I'll keep testing, but I think between this and Acqua Oud which came out at the same time — I'd choose Acqua over Juniper Oud. ----------------------------------------- Scent 30/100 Performance 85/100

Smells like I’ve forgotten to bring my own soap while traveling and I have been forced to use the hotel’s mini bottles of gelatinous, turquoise body wash. You know the ones. My cat smelled my arm while I was testing this on skin, squinted, and ran away.

Oy vey. A prior reviewer called this fragrance a "medicated band aid." Well I am offended as someone who has spent 25 years in the healthcare field. It's more of a menthol medicated patch. Salonpas Oud with a hint of Vicks rub. It's a throwback to the old tuberculosis sanatorium days at the turn of the 20th century. I was given a sample of this vile which is currently causing issues with my own bile. I need a Karen Silkwood level shower.

A very well-done juniper scent. Juniper Oud is full of that crisp evergreen leaning juniper with a healthy load of cracked peppercorns. The birch is sweet, with a brisk cool breeze in an autumn forest feeling with tones of minty goodness accented by a tame smokiness by way of cypriol. A great scent, but I disagree that this is cypriol led. This showcases a vivid juniper note on my skin. The oud is a bit similar to the type in Oud Wood, which Mr. Herpin also composed. However, this is a very different treatment of that sandalwood-infused oud. Oud Wood is more dark, mysterious city dweller, while Juniper Oud is more of an early autumn forest walk.

One of my favorite scents of all time. It’s a very versatile Oud fragrance because of the contrasting fresher notes. It’s like if you took Oud Wood, made it less dense, and added juniper and nutmeg. I also do get the calming effect from the chamomile. Basically a modernized, fresher, higher quality Oud Wood or Carved Oud. This could be a great signature scent. Slightly reminds me of Oud for Greatness because of the combination of nutmeg and Oud. They have a similar texture/vibe. OFG is sweeter and bolder though. OFG is my #1 of all time. This is right up there with it in my top 5. 9/10.
