Tobacco Royal

Finally Fragrantica has listed more of this house.. anyway so Tobacco Royal. This is an addicting scent for me something I'd like to reserve for situational wear but I love randomly spraying it or sniffing the atomizer just to get the effect. It's a photo realistic, authentic fresh rolled unlit cigar thats very sutbly spiced, boozed and sweetened. Very high quality. And perfect for fall and winter. As simplistic as that sounds it works and does it well. Thats it thats all. This autumn season I'm trying it out in more casual situations to see if I'll want to wear it regularly

Simply put... one of my favorite fragrances period.. I’ve tried many hundreds of fragrances and dozens of tobacco fragrances and this one is as close to what I would call a signature scent for me. Sweet dried fruits(Apricot), and heavy dry tobacco. It’s not some super complicated heavy tobacco scent like Tobacco Vanille or Red Tobacco, I envision this as a cigar shop on a beach in Havana while the owner chomps on a fresh apricot. I think this is fresh enough to wear even on warmer days, like summer evenings going out for a date. Anyways, I love it!!!

I bought a set of Precious Liquids samples, Tobacco Royal was a favorite. Slight tobacco with a creamy vanilla and tonka bean. The apricot twist made it unique. Perfect amount of sweetness, not overly gourmand. Great projection, silliage and longevity. My sample's spray cap loosened up and dripped in my travel bag while on vacation. The scent lasted a week in my bag. Waiting for a sale, fingers crossed. Blue Agave, Neroli Musk were in my top 3 as well.

Definite boozy nuances off rip. Then immediate heavy spices. Sweet, and nutty...with smoky tobacco. Banger for sure... Compared to my favorite Amouage...this 'feels' less serious, but grown man playful. I'm gonna say kind of in the same ballpark as Argos Sacred Flame. Not as BOISTEROUS and add tobacco. Been 4-5hrs so far, and still have a scent bubble. Longevity is still at play. Only the 1st wear...I'm impressed. 3 from the House, and no slouches

It's an objectively good fragrance but I don't like it on myself. I don't enjoy tobacco scents that have the sour tinge, and this one has it because of the strong dried apricot note. The sourness is amplified on my skin and makes me feel unwashed. It's not sweet enough for me, unfortunately.

Tobacco and apricot sounds interesting. Come to think of it Rasasi did this years ago with a more pronounced apricot note. Try Tobacco Blaze if you love this as it came out before and the price is nowhere near 4 bucks per ml.

During the heart to drydown phase, you will smell like sticky, wet earwax.

Based off the scented strip... smells really good. Smells like a softened up and thinner version of red tobacco though! I’d personally just buy intense red tobacco over this, because they do a pretty similar thing scent wise, but not strength wise. I feel like this could come off as more “formal” than red tobacco, but that’s only because it’s a lot more subtle. Me personally I prefer how cloying and almost abrasive red tobacco can be, because it amplifies the cozy nature of the scent profile. So overall I’d choose R.T., but this is for sure still nice.

Warm, spiced dry tobacco with an almost nutty consistency. The apricot resembles the dried skin more than the pulp with an almost boozy, balsamic vanilla. It does resemble Red Tobacco a bit, but it's much smoother and more restrained, which is a good thing in this case. It's far less screechy and and headache inducing. A quality scent, but I am not sure if I need it. Monsieur Herpin continues to impress me.

The opening is a little challenging. Fruity urinal cake, a little tobacco, some dried some smoky, and cinnamon. If the urinal cake dissipates, not bad. I am halfway through an 8 pack sampler. So far this is the best. The urinal cake subsides and we are left with a very nice fruity tobacco with a little cinnamon. For true this is very nice but I cannot endorse the price point.
