Aura Tonka

Absolute LOVE people! It's even better than I've imagined while reading the comments of our fellow parfmaniacs around here. At the first glance all the notes are very cohesive, and I can't identify each of them except for the sweet vanilla-lavender-toffee 💛. It's the first test and I'll see how it develops in colder weather, as the current winter is warmer than usual. It was a blind buy (there is no possibility to test it in the country) and the big reason behind that is the reference for Lancome Lavandes Trianon. I adore that perfume, but the price for this discontinued piece is total craziness 🫠

Great winter scent. I do not get Mon Guerlain on my skin. It reminds me more of Feve Delicieuse by Dior.

This smells like a softer, more refined version of Black Opium, with an added lavender note. The dry down is largely tonka and vanilla. It's nice, and I get about 5-6 hours out of it before it becomes a skin scent.

First, this is a must try for goumands lovers! Aura Tonka has this slightly "sweet", oriental goumand comprised of vanilla, toffee, praline and tonka beans. Apart from its average longevity, the projection is impressive for just few hours coupled with its lovely drydown! Aura Tonka seemingly leans more on the feminine side. If you're a lover of praline and tonka bean, this is for you! Ideal for office, corporate events, lunch dates, movies, soirees, polos, Date nights and Reunions. Quite feminine to my nose! I agree with the distinguished sleuths who have already weighed in below. This is a nuclear winter Mon Guerlain of sorts. Probably closer to Mon Guerlain Intense. But it also has something strong giving the Black Opium vibes. I like it but doesn't break new ground and definitely overpriced for the end result.

Aura Tonka opens with a woody foral opening that I mistook for a fresh oud rose. Probably the bergamot and sandalwood? When it dries down after 30 mins, pretty much smells like a fresher/lighter Mon Guerlain. Not as sweet but 80% similar. I have Mon Guerlain so I won’t be getting this.

There’s something about this perfume I absolutely love. Maybe the praline or the tonka bean notes in there but it’s such a light gourmand fragrance. I’m still letting it sit for a bit to see how well it does. Especially regarding projection, sillage, and longevity.

Incredible scent, very addicting, and so well balanced between the notes. Underatted banger for sure !
